Ralph H. Plambeck

1917-2004

Ralph H. Plambeck, 87, of Cheyenne died June 27 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Carpenter.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He married Julia Myers on Sept. 17, 1957, in Chadron, Neb.

Mr. Plambeck was a mail carrier for the Postal Service.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 6.

He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Mr. Plambeck is survived by his wife, Julia Plambeck; a daughter, Linda M. Camp of Germany; two brothers, Victor Plambeck of Cheyenne and Kenneth Plambeck of Lakewood, Colo.; two sisters, Millie Steege of Burns and Marie M. Rhiner of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald N. Rogers; and a daughter, Wanda K. Weber.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Boche officiating.

Interment will be in Beth El cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by American Legion Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Judd Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, Billy Schutte, John Schutte, Brett Weber and Scott Hunter.

Friends may contribute to the Building Fund at Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Ruth B. Bustos

1956-2004

Ruth B. "Tutie" Bustos, 48, of Cheyenne died June 27 at Northern Suburban Medical Center in Denver.

She was born May 10, 1956, in Houston.

Mrs. Bustos was a dietary aide at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center for 20 years.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Assembly of God Church and Good Shepherd Assembly of God Church Praise Team.

Mrs. Bustos is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bustos of Cheyenne, whom she married Aug. 20, 1977; a daughter, Rebekah Bustos of Cheyenne; a sister, Sylvia B. Fuentes of Houston; and three brothers, Daniel Botello, David Botello and Ruben Botello, all of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Bernilde Botello.

Viewing service will be 5 p.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Tom Perea officiating.

Interment will be at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be David Botello, Ruben Botello, Daniel Bustos, Kenny Alvarado, Eddie Martinez Jr. and Joshua Bustos.

Friends may contribute to Guillan Barre Syndrome.

Sharon A. Kramer

1946-2004

Sharon A. Kramer, 57, of Pine Bluffs died June 25 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Newman Grove, Neb., and had lived in Pine Bluffs for 20 years.

Mrs. Kramer was a clerk at the Texas Trail Market for four years.

She was a member of Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Kramer is survived by two sons, Daryn Kramer of Cheyenne and Cory Kramer of Pine Bluffs; a daughter, Cheryl Kramer of Cheyenne; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Kramer in 1982; her parents, Glenn and Avis Koenig; and a brother, Kenneth Koenig.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Pine Bluffs Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeffery Babb officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Bluffs cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Thompson, Matt Davison, Randy Kramer, Kevin Kramer, Dave Bomberger and Robin Dafoe.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Andrea C. Easton

1950-2004

Andrea C. (Beck) Easton, 53, of Palm Coast, Fla., died June 27 after a long illness.

She was born Dec. 2, 1950.

She moved to Palm Coast in 2002 from Cheyenne. Before moving to Cheyenne, she lived in Blairstown, N.J., for 12 years.

A graduate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's dental hygiene program, she practiced for many years in Newton, N.J.

She was a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church and Praise Team and the Flagler County Chorus. In New Jersey, she was active with the Walpack New Jersey Historical Society providing tours of Walpack and the Van Campen Inn grounds and structures while dressed in colonial period costume, and maintained the site. She was active in General William Maxwell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sirius Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Nor-bu Lodge of the Sons of Norway. She was a supporter of Cheyenne Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

She is survived by daughter, Jennifer O'Halloran of Cheyenne; a son, Sean Stillwagon of Willis, Texas; a stepson, Andrew Easton of Alexandria, Va.; her mother, Shirley Beck of Palm Coast; her brother, Paul Beck of Manassas, Va.; her sisters, Donna Davenport of Palm Coast, and Karen Stone-Stricklin of Sunrise, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melville Beck; and her husband, Fred Easton.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. July 17 at the Palm Coast United Methodist Church in Palm Coast.

Estella M. Mintken

1911-2004

Estella M. Mintken, 92, of Cheyenne died June 29 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.

She was born Sept. 25, 1911, to Thomas W. and Olive (Stallings) Smith in Wray, Colo., and had lived here for 20 years.

She married Forrest Mintken on July 6, 1931, in Sterling, Colo.

Mrs. Mintken was a homemaker and had worked with her husband in the operation of gas stations, restaurants and automotive repair businesses in Grand Island, Neb., and Albin. Her husband had also farmed near Pine Bluffs for many years.

Mrs. Mintken was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was affiliated with the Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dean "Doc" Schroeder of Cheyenne; two grandchildren, David W. Kaser of Rock Springs and Thomas M. Kaser of Cheyenne; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Hobbs and Kiara Kaser, both of Cheyenne; a brother, Thomas Smith of California; and a sister, Jere Knott of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Mintken on Dec. 8, 1985; her parents, Thomas and Olive Smith; a brother, Ralph Smith; a sister, Ethel "Peggy" Perry and an infant sister, Faye Smith.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dalton, Neb., with the Rev. Eldon Wells officiating.

Interment will be in the Dalton cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Smith, Thomas Kaser, Dean Schroeder, Wayne Mintken, Allan Mintken and Jerry Mintken.

Friends may contribute to the COMEA Shelter or a charity of their choice.

Iona F. Phillips

1912-2004

Iona Fae Phillips, 92, of Cheyenne died June 30 at Cheyenne Healthcare Center.

She was born Feb. 24, 1912, in Butte, Neb., and had lived here since 1939.

Mrs. Phillips retired as a custodian for Laramie County School District 1 after 13 years of service.

She was a member of Cheyenne Brethren Church.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by two sons, Edwin Phillips of Cheyenne and Roy C. Phillips of North Platte, Neb.; a daughter, Sara "JoAnn" Gonsior of Cheyenne; a sister, Helen Brown of Laramie; seven grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Phillips on Nov. 15, 1982; her parents, Roy and Antoinette Pretteman; five brothers; and one sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Dr. G. Emery Hurd officiating.

Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Friends may contribute to a charity of their choice.

Lottie M. Lake

1920-2004

Lottie Mae Lake, 83, of Cheyenne died June 29 at home.

She was born Dec. 19, 1920, at Bear Mountain and had lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Lake was a waitress.

She was a member of River of Life Church and VFW No. 4343.

Mrs. Lake is survived by two sons, James Lake of Cheyenne and Donald Lake of Carpenter; a daughter, Carolyn Reeder of Cheyenne; two sisters, Edith Peters and Margaret Mohrlang, both of Cheyenne; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Lake; a son, Archie William Lake; her parents, Lewis Charles and Josephine Seifert; and a sister, Dorothy King.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Private memorial services will be held.

A reception will be held 1 p.m. July 11 at Orchard Valley Community Center.

Mae Ruth Weitzel

1921-2004

Mae Ruth Weitzel, 83, of Clearfield, Utah, formerly of Cheyenne, died June 30 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.

She was born May 10, 1921 in Fort Collins, Colo., to Henry John and Emma Derring Hahn.

Mae was raised in Fort Collins, Colo., and then moved to Cheyenne. In 1964 she moved to Ogden, Utah.

She married Elmer John Weitzel in April 1939. He passed away Oct. 7, 1987.

She was a waitress and beautician.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, crafts, current events and cooking for her family.

She is survived by a son, John Elmer Weitzel, of Utah; four daughters, Deanna Sullivan of Cheyenne, Floye Weekly, Jacquie Jones, and Sandi Wasuita Heiden; a brother, Raymond Hahn; a sister, Anna Lessler; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer; a daughter Connie Lou; and a grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Gardens in Cheyenne.

Robert E. Setbacken

1944-2004

Robert E. Setbacken, 59, of Cheyenne died June 29 at United Medical Center - West.

He was born Nov. 8, 1944, in Cheyenne and had lived here most of his life.

Mr. Setbacken was a truck driver.

He was a member of First Congregational Church and AARP.

Mr. Setbacken is survived by five daughters, Tamara Newcomb of San Francisco, Teresa Newcomb of Las Vegas, Brenda Negrete and Tona Murray, both of Tehachaphi, Calif., and Bobbi Jean Belfiore of Summerville, S.C.; a brother, Sidney Setbacken of Cheyenne; three sisters, Jeannine Mosher of Lake Hattie, Bonnie Hunnicut of Canyon Country, Calif., and Charlyne Florence of Tulare, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Esther Setbacken; and a brother, Jimmy Setbacken.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
