Gail E. Scott

1924-2004

Gail E. Scott, 80, of Cheyenne died July 29 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.

He was born April 30, 1924, in Gunnison, Colo., and had lived here for 79 years.

Mr. Scott graduated from Cheyenne High.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Scott had retired as a firefighter from the city of Cheyenne and also from the state of Wyoming as a plumber.

He was a member of First Congregational Church, Moose Lodge and American Legion.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Wanda Scott of Cheyenne, whom he married Oct. 27, 1967; four sons, Terry Myers of Woodin Wind, Wash., Randy Myers of Pine Bluffs and Norman Germain and Roland Germain, both of Cheyenne; a daughter, Sandra Urbanek of Cheyenne; a brother, William Brossman; two sisters, Kathlene Adler of Berthoud, Colo., and Karen Ferch of California; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Arlene Roth; his father, Major Scott; his mother, Margaret Brossman; and a brother, Wayne Hacker.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. today at First Congregational Church with the Rev. J.D. Megason officiating.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Myers, Jeremy Myers, Joey Roth, Ryan Germain, Zek Myers, Scott Murler, Jamey Swindler, Dustin Gonzalez, Jim Bahamnon, Joey Falbo, Mark Murdock and Chris Kelly.

Friends may contribute to the Diabetes Foundation.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Glenn W. Johnson

1914-2004

Glenn W. Johnson, 90, of Cheyenne died July 30 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.

He was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Fargo, N.D., and had lived here since 1944.

Mr. Johnson was a foreman at the Frontier Refinery for 33 years.

He was a member of First Christian Church, Acacia Lodge No. 11 A.F. & A.M. and Order of Eastern Star Mizpah Chapter No. 36.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Gerry Johnson of Cheyenne, whom he married Nov. 1, 1936; two daughters, Sue Ellen Humphrey of Cheyenne and Beverly Dell Junginger of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Minerva Johnson; and two brothers, Ralph Johnson and Clyde Johnson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Dr. Clyde Kauffman officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Humphrey, Craig Williams, Les Humphrey, Mark Redding, Tom Burke and Ed Sommers.

Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Friends may contribute to Scottish Rite Language Clinic or First Christian Church.

Irene F. Eisenhauer

1935-2004

Irene F. Eisenhauer, 69, of Cheyenne died peacefully at her home July 30.

She was born June 26, 1935, in San Luis, Colo., and was raised in Rawlins. She has lived here since 1985.

Mrs. Eisenhauer was a server at Avanti Restaurant for 15 years.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Bishop's Guild, Catholic Women's Council and a caring minister at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Mrs. Eisenhauer is survived by her husband, Lloyd A. Eisenhauer of Cheyenne, whom she married Dec. 18, 1965; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen Kelly and Melody Roberts of Green River, and Mark William Eisenhauer of Cheyenne; a stepson, Rodney A. Eisenhauer of Cheyenne; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tracy Arlene Martinez of Cheyenne and Marcella Ann and Tim Bishop of Farmington, N.M.; her mother, Susie Medina of Rawlins; two brothers, Father Maurice Medina of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Eugene Medina of Rawlins; two sisters, Lorraine Woodward of Rawlins and June Molina of Cheyenne; nine grandchildren, Mindy M. Derby, Ernest H. Montoya and Irene C. Montoya, all of Cheyenne, Mitch S. Roberts, Sarah J. Roberts and Jade A. Wold, all of Green River, and Jesse T. Bishop, Sasha R. Bishop and Christopher J. Bishop, all of Farmington; and three great-grandchildren, Jeremy E. Martinez, Jerae N. Martinez and Jasmine T. Martinez, all of Cheyenne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elias Medina; and two brothers, Adelmo Medina and Steve Medina.

Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurice Medina as the celebrant.

Interment will be in Olivet cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark W. Eisenhauer, Stephen Kelly Roberts, Jesse T. Bishop, Christopher J. Bishop, Mitch S. Roberts and Jeremy E. Martinez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Montoya and all of Irene's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may contribute to United Medical Center-Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Irma A. Hood

1908-2004

Irma Allegra Hood, 96, of Cheyenne died July 28 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.

She was born July 18, 1908, in Denver and lived here all of her life.

Mrs. Hood was a laundry worker at F.E. Warren Air Force Base from 1948 to 1952, and she was a mail clerk and relief telephone operator for 29 years. She also worked for A.H. Reed Construction. She retired when she was 70 from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Capt. Reliable Seniors, Order of Easter Star No. 6, VA Bowling and the Women's Bowling Association. She was the first black woman in the Cheyenne Bowling Hall of Fame (1998).

Mrs. Hood is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Walker of Cheyenne; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Hood on March 28, 1942; her parents; and a grandson.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Samuel Reed officiating and the Rev. Roy Mitchell assisting.

Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Byron Walker, Patrick Walker, Dewayne Thomas, the Rev. Ernest Fitzhugh, the Rev. Chris Truss and Darrell Alexander.

Friends may contribute to the Irma Hood Memorial Fund in care of Second Baptist Church.

Laura E. Mason

1911-2004

Laura E. Mason, 93, of Cheyenne died July 29 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.

She was born March 27, 1911, in Burns and had lived here all of her life.

Mrs. Mason was a bookkeeper for Mead Lumber for more than 20 years and had been a nurse aide at DePaul Hospital when it first opened.

She is a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Mason is survived by a son, Dick Mason of Cheyenne; a son, Dick Mason of Cheyenne; a brother, Warren Hatcher of Walla Walla, Wash.; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford J. Mason; her parents, Nora and Bernard F. Hatcher; five brothers, Ben Hatcher, Dan Hatcher, Bernard Hatcher, Joe Hatcher and Fred Hatcher; and two sisters, Nina Hatcher and Mattie Hause.

Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church with the Rev. Wayne Nazarenus officiating.

Interment of her urn will be in Beth El cemetery.

Lloyd E. Hollers

1932-2004

Lloyd Earl Hollers, 71, of Cheyenne died July 29 at Life Care Center.

He was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Cody, Neb., and had lived here for 40 years.

He held the longest membership at the Moose Lodge than any other member.

Mr. Hollers is survived by four sisters, Margie Weakland of Cheyenne, Arretta Richmond and Lai Anna Philippi, both of Denver, and Margaret Robinson of Portland, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Goldie Hollers; and a brother, Roy Hollers Jr.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society.

Eleanor Adams

1923-2004

Eleanor Adams, 81, of Cheyenne died July 24 at United Medical Center-East.

She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Glenrock.

She had been a resident of Cheyenne for several years, having worked at the Department of Revenue and Taxation before retirement.

She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and a member of the Cathedral Guild.

She is survived by a son, John; three grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Cavanaugh; four sisters, Rosie Smith, Mary Browning, Winifred Collier and Frances Robbins; and a brother, Joe Cavanaugh.

Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Gary Ruzicka officiating.

Cremation has taken place at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory with interment to be at Steamboat Springs at a later date.

Friends may contribute to a charity of their choice.

Ernest H. Lund

1936-2004

Ernest Hugh Lund, 68, of Cheyenne died Aug. 7 at United Medical Center-West.

He was born July 28, 1936, in Sacramento, Calif., and had lived here since 1986.

He was reared in Preston, Idaho, on the family farm, where his father raised Shire horses. In his younger years, he loved his horses and cutter competitions.

Mr. Lund served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict.

He worked in dirt reclamation and construction, retiring from D.H. Blattnert and Sons.

He and his wife, Deborah, were married in the historic Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow. He loved to reclaim the earth back to its natural beauty, loved cartoons and old movies, especially "Red Skelton," and he loved to make people laugh and turn any scenario into a happy time. He was proud to be involved with search and rescue units in Wyoming. His favorite song was "Remember When" by Alan Jackson.

Mr. Lund was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Indian Hills Ward, American Legion Post No. 6 and American Association of Retired Persons.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lund of Cheyenne, whom he married Dec. 23, 1989; a daughter, Rhonda Wahner of Salt Lake City; a stepdaughter, Debannette Mitchell of Cheyenne; five brothers, Bernard Lund of Blackfoot, Idaho, Bishop Ron Lund of Midland, Mich., Lorri Lund of Preston, Warren Lund of Preston and Greg Lund of Trenton, Utah; a sister, Joan Phippen of Ogden, Utah; mother-in-law, Norma J. Mart of Cheyenne; a brother-in-law, Dennis Palmer of Denver; a sister-in-law, Dawn Blooding and family; a brother-in-law, Dwayne Palmer and family, all of Cheyenne; and a sister-in-law, Diane Campbell and family, of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Bills; and his parents, Fred and Emma Lund.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center with Bishop Jay Harnish conducting.

Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Wright, Herbert Palmer, Russell Palmer and Wes Licking.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Bills and Cory Baird.

Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard.

Jimmie D. Wilkinson

1933-2004

Jimmie Duane Wilkinson, 70, died July 20 in Rock River.

He was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Nortonville, Kan. In 1949, he moved with his parents and siblings to a ranch outside of Laramie.

While working at the Diamond Ranch near McFadden, he met Barbara Miller. They were married Aug. 15, 1953, at the Fort Bliss Chapel in El Paso, Texas.

He served with the Army during the Korean War. After his service, the young couple moved to Rock River. Following the death of their daughter in 1956, the couple moved to Cheyenne, where they had and raised two sons. In Cheyenne he worked for 20 years with the police department as an officer and detective.

Upon his retirement from the police department in 1976, they moved back to Rock River. There they bought and operated the Double Shot Bar for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Rock River; two sons, Jim and Mark Wilkinson, both of Cheyenne; five brothers, Bill Wilkinson of Medicine Bow, Leonard Wilkinson of Casper, Harold and John Wilkinson, both of Cheyenne, and Richard Wilkinson of Wheatland; six sisters, Mary Lou Svarc of Mesa, Ariz., Kathy Lock of Hiawatha, Kan., Clara Callahan of Wheatland, Judy Schirmer of Rock River, Carol Wilkinson of Laramie and Jean Johner of Hanna; and five grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter.

Mr. Wilkinson was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn; two brothers, Bob and Ralph Wilkinson; and a sister, Lynn Lindeen.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Town of Rock River Park with Pastors Bill Massie and Joe Walberg officiating.
