Raymond Bernel Hollinger

Raymond Bernel Hollinger, 65, Green River died Friday at his home following an illness of one year.

He was born Jan. 5, 1938, in Pioche, the son of the late Raymond and Nellie Mongo Hollinger.

Hollinger was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Following his tour in the service, he moved to Wyoming.

He was employed as an engineer for Allied CMF and SF Phosphates Fertilizer Plant.

He was a longtime member of the VFW and Fraternal Order of the Eagles No. 2350.

His interests included fishing, hunting, crossword puzzles and drawing.

He is survived by his former wife Shauna Hollinger; one sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Eddie Burrola, two daughters and three sons; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following cremation at the Vase White Mountain Crematory, a memorial military service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Green Gander.

Marion "Warren" Bingham

Marion "Warren" Bingham, 65, Thayer, Mo., died Feb. 16 at his home after having been ill for the past eight months.

He was born Feb, 28, 1939, in Buffalo, Mo., the son of the late Marion Clay and Marie Whipple Bingham.

He attended schools in Green River and California and married Vickie Lee Hochart in Evanston in 1962.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was employed at General Chemical as a miner.

His interests included Hunting, fishing, camping and drinking beer.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Archie Wayne and Chuck Bingham, both of Rock Springs, and James Ruel Bingham of Willow Springs, Mo.; one daughter, Renee Richards of Rock Springs; two brothers, Blaine Bingham of Green River and Charles Bingham of Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wayne Bingham; one son, Daniel Clay Bingham; one daughter, Thelma Gean Bingham; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel from noon until time of services. Cremation will follow.

The family will be receiving friends at 924 5th Ave. West. The family also suggests giving blood in his memory.

Bonnie Lou Moon

Bonnie Lou Moon, 50, Green River, died Feb. 14 at her home.

She was born Sept. 28, 1953, in Coalville, Utah, the daughter of Lawrence Moon and Myrtle Lym. She attended schools in Green River.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Green River and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars.

Her interests included cooking, sports, she loved animals and gardening.

She loved softball and was on the the team that won the state championship in 1983.

Survivors include her mother, Myrtle Ward of Green River; one son and daughter-in-law, Jesse Dusten and Kristin Bird of Green River; one brother, Lawrence Moon of Evanston; one sister, Connie Moon of Green River, and her former mother-in-law, Alva Bird of Lander.

She was preceded in death by her father, one son, sister-in-law Debby Moon, step-father Ross Ward and her grandparents.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be conducted Saturday at the Green River Alliance Church, Pastor John Berry Sr. officiating.

Pamela Water Willmore

Pamela Water Willmore, 59, Rock Springs, died Feb. 14 at her home after having been ill for the past year.

She was born Aug. 2, 1944, in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late Cecil and Carmen Auberger Waters. She attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1962. She married Michael Willmore in 1964.

She was the attendance secretary at White Mountain Junior High until her retirement last summer.

Her interests included fishing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Survivors include her husband; son Michael John Willmore of Rock Springs; one daughter, Shawna Willmore and companion Tim Torpey of Rock Springs; one brother and sister-in-law Russel and Neta Waters of Rock Springs; one sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Joe Yovich of Laramie; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted this morning at the First Congregational Church, Rev. Sue Pierce officiating.

Interment was in the Paul J. Wataha section of the Rock Springs Municipal cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to Cowboys Against Cancer.

Clayton B. Holman

Clayton B. Holman, 87, Green River died March 21 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.

He was born Sept. 5, 1916, in Andover, Maine, the son of the late Harold Holman Sr. and Agnes Harlow Holman. He attended schools in Andover, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Maine.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Sylvia Wood in Wilton, Maine, in 1958. He was employed as a millwright until his retirement in 1980.

His interests included stock car racing, hunting, water skiing, auto mechanics his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Sylvia Holman of Green River; two daughters, June Hoar and husband William of Farmington, Maine, and Lori A. Paisley of Green River; one son, Brent Holman of Green River; three sisters, Barbara Kendall of Brunswick, Maine, Joyce Pepin and husband Paul of Newport, Maine, and Sylvia Gordon and husband Lincoln of Auborn, Maine; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Hardy, and four brothers, Kenneth Holman, Harold Jr, Elwood, and Lauren.

Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at the home of Brent Holman, 655 Clark St. Green River.

Memorial services and inurnment will scheduled at a later date in Wilton, Maine.

Franklin T. Harris

Franklin T. Harris, 74, Green River, died March 27 at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Manila, the son of the late Albert and Mariah Twitchell Harris.

He attended schools in Manila and Green River. He served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Air Corps where he attained the rank of sergeant.

He married Shirley Hiner in 1959 in Rock Springs. The majority of his life, he was employed with Mountain Bell Telephone Company. He was also a small business owner.

He was a member of the Union Pacific Employees Club and the Golden Hour Senior Center. He enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lou Ann Varley and husband Jeff, and Kay Lyn Harris, all of Point of Rocks; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan, who is serving in Afghanistan, and Paula Harris of Sedalia, Miss., and Dale and Michele Harris of Green River; seven grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Harris and wife Sara Ann of Buffalo; one sister, Phyllis Jackson and husband Ken of Green River; his mother-in-law Edith Hiner; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Roy Twitchell, sister Zola Lewis and two brothers, Ned and infant Joseph Twitchell.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Friends may call at the family home, 168 S. 4th W. in Green River.

Jennie August

Jennie August, 85, Rock Springs, died March 5 at the University of Utah Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Soda Springs, Idaho, the daughter of the late Sam and Mary Phillips Couros.

She attended schools in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and Ogden, Utah. She was crowned Miss Lava Hot Springs in 1930.

She married Mike August in 1940 in Pocatello, Idaho, and they spent the next few years operating a photo studio in Kemmerer. They moved to Rock Springs where they owned and operated the New Studio for more than 30 years until retirement in 1976.

She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she served as a board member, she was a past president of the Woman's Club and participated in many club activities.

Survivors include two daughters, Antoinette Goddard of Rock Springs, and Mary Ann August and companion George Stevens of Salt Lake City; two grandsons, Joseph and James Goddard, both of Rock Springs; and special friends Cinda Grover and Dave Lipuma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Diana Marie August; one brother, Manuel Couros; and two sisters, Tessie Skliris and Katherine Foukas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Graveside service and interment will be in the Saint Joseph's Section of the Rock Springs Municipal cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Mike August Memorial Fund of the Western Wyoming Community College Foundation, or the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

Kathy Lynn Bloodsworth

Kathy Lynn Bloodsworth, 38, of Green River, died Feb. 16.

She was born July 10, 1965, in Detroit, the daughter of Earl William Mccauley and Marian June Promitzer.

She attended schools in Eastpointe, Mich., and graduated from East detroit High School with the class of 1983.

She married Crag Bloodworth in Flora Vista, N.M. in 1997. She was a member of the Green River Alliance Church.

Survivors include her husband of Green River; her father, Earl McCauley of Okeechobee, Fla.; four brothers, Dale McCauley of Wareen, Mich., Daryl McCauley of Arizona, Michael McCauley of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Bryan McCauley of Okeechobee, Fla.; one sister, Darlene Cooke of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one nephew; her father and mother-in-law, Walter and Marilyn Bloddworth of New Mexico, her dog, Tes and her cat, Annie.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. Alan McCauley.

Following cremation, a memorial service was conducted Saturday at the Green River Alliance Church. Graveside services and inurnment were Monday at the Riverview cemetery in Green River.

Patricia Mary Graham

Patricia Mary Graham, 80, of Hillsboro, Ore., died Feb. 17 at Tuality Community Hospital of complications from pneumonia.

She was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Beaverton, Ore, the daughter of the late Henry Luchs and Agnes Kennedy Luchs. She attended schools there and graduated from Commerce High School in 1941.

She worked at shipyard in Oregon where she met Charles Graham They were married in 1943 and moved to Hillsboro in 1950.

She worked as a bookkeeper at J.C. Penney from 1961 until 1980. She served on the Hillsboro City Council from 1981-1987.

Besides public service, her interests included genealogy, reading, history and politics.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Vicki Roth of Green River and Phyllis Inman of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were conducted Feb. 21 at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.

Dennis Peter Kuntz

Dennis Peter Kuntz, 52, Billings, Mont., died Feb. 28 at Deaconess Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born May 17, 1951, in Miles City, Mont., the son of Andrew and Josephine Berger Kuntz.

He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1969. He married the former Sheila McCaskill in Rock Springs in 1971 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

He was employed as branch manager for Yellow Freight Transportation for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife Sheila of Billings; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tiffany and Gary Salveson of Billings, Traci and Doug Erhardt and Toni and Ryan Madison, all of Denver; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice and Bruce Turcato, Brenda and Tom Jensen, and Berna and Steve McWhorter, all of Rock Springs; his mother of Rock Springs, four grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Bernetta Kuntz.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Rock Springs. Graveside services and interment will be in the Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park in the Rock Springs cemetery.

Friends may call at the church until time of services.

John Ylincheta

John Ylincheta, 72, Washam, died Feb. 26 in Manila following a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Linwood, Utah, the son of the late John and Anacita Ansotegui Ylincheta.

He attended schools in Manila and Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School with the class of 1949.

He married Mera Don Larsen in Las Vegas in 1977.

He was a self-employed truck driver and owner-operator of T-Bone LTD for many years. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David John and Carma Sikich of Draper, Utah; one brother and sister-in-law, MacArthur and Jill Ylincheta of vernal; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanch and Alex Von Gyursy of St. George, Utah and Delores and Tex Terry; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Deborah Joan Sikich.

Following cremation at the Vase White Mountain Crematory, a memorial luncheon will be conducted at a later date.

Darlene DeMille Olds

Darlene DeMille Olds, 76, Hurricane, Utah, died March 3 at her home.

She was born Dec. 2, 1927, in Hurricane, the daughter of the late Oliver and Eliza Hirchi DeMille.

She married Wayne Dodge Olds in 1945.

She was a homemaker and mother and enjoyed shopping, visiting family and friends and having her hair done.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ronald Brown of Green River; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Janteen Olds of New Harmony, Utah, and Jerry and Susan Olds of Centerville, Utah; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one brother and sister-in-law, Glendon and Phoebe DeMille of Hurricane.

Funeral services were conducted March 6 and interment was in the Hurricane City cemetery.

Myron Dale Cook

Myron Dale Cook, 83, Green River, died March 19 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he had been a patient for three days.

He was born June 6, 1920, in Sterling, Colo., the son of the late Arthur and Elsie Alberta Cook. He attended schools in Sterling where he graduated from high school.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and married the late Mary Santiago in Puerto Rico in 1942. She died in 2001.

He was employed as a foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years until he retired in 1977.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Myron and Nancy Cook of Green River; Dean and Veronica Cook, and Richard and Candy Cook, all of Rock Springs; four daughters, Brenda Crowley and husband Tim, and Sandy Dreben and husband Lester, all of Rock Springs, Terry Shane of Houston, and Evelyn Ellison of Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Gilbert Cook, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. Bishop Lance Porter will conduct the services.

Military graveside service and interment will be at the Rock Springs Municipal cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

The family suggests memorials be made to Cowboys Against cancer, the Sweetwater County Diabetes Chapter or the American Heart Association.
