Ronald Andersen Sr.

Ronald Clayton Andersen Sr., 60, of Sheridan died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Deaconess Billings Clinic-Hospital. Funeral services were March 31 in the Bridger Community Building in Bridger, S.D. Burial was in Bridger cemetery under direction of the Luce Funeral Home of Eagle Butte, S.D. Mr. Andersen was born in Fort Yates, N.D., July 30, 1942, to Cordelia (Hold) Andersen and Clifford (Iron Moccasin) Andersen. He was a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in Eagle Butte. He attended schools in Rapid City and graduated from high school in Ganado, Ariz. He attended Yankton College in Yankton, S.D. He worked as a heavy-equipment operator for more than 40 years with Peter Kiewit, Western Paving, Larry’s Inc., High Country Construction Inc. and Decker Coal Co. He enjoyed being with family and friends and playing pool, dart ball, softball and going camping. He was preceded in death by one son, Ron Jr. Survivors include his wife, Lucinda (Arney) Andersen; three children, Winona Barber and Ferron Andersen, both of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Heather Andersen of Pierre, S.D.; a brother, Melvin Wright of Comfort, Texas; a sister, Tira Andersen of Sheridan; 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma Jean Woodsend

DAYTON – Norma Jean Gower Woodsend, 72, of Dayton died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Sheridan Manor. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service was Friday. Kane Funeral Home handled arrangements. Mrs. Woodsend was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Shamrock, Okla., to Andrew and Millie (Deel) Gower. After high school she married Charles Woodsend March 13, 1962, in Pierre, S.D. She was a homemaker most of her life. She loved painting and being with her family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Jean; an infant daughter, Mary Ann; an infant son, Charles Jr.; and two brothers. Survivors include her husband of Dayton; three daughters, Linda McKellar of Loveland, Colo., Tina Madler of Billings and Tammy Etzel of Everett, Wash.; six sisters; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Vernon Reep Sr.

BUFFALO — Vernon James Reep Sr. of Buffalo died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Charles Taylor as celebrant. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with military graveside rites by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Foundation or the VFW in care of Adams Funeral Home.

Glen Nicholson

Glen Nicholson, 74, of Sheridan died Monday, March 31, 2003, in the Sheridan VA Medical Center. A celebration of life is 2 p.m. Friday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home for family and friends. Mr. Nicholson was born Feb. 5, 1929, in Prince Edward Island, Canada, to Archie and Katherine May (MacDearmind) Nicholson. He grew up on a farm homestead owned by his father in Moffit, N.D., and attended a country school in Moffit and high school in Bismarck, N.D. He joined the Army at 17 and served from 1946 to 1947. He married Geraldine Lund in 1963 in Sundance. Mr. Nicholson was a painting contractor in Sheridan for many years. He enjoyed antique cars, loved to work in the yard and enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, “Bugsy.” He also enjoyed trying his luck with the lottery and playing practical jokes. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include his wife, of Sheridan; a son, Scott of Spokane, Wash.; two daughters, Susan Amsden of Chandler, Ariz., and Dixie Egan of Sheridan; two stepdaughters, Pat Wilson of Sheridan and Marcia Wickman of Pahrump, Nev.; three stepsons, Bob Reinholt of Denver and Kenneth and Steve Reinholt, both of Sheridan; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Gary Gossett

Sheridan native Gary Wayne Gossett, 64, of Buffalo died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at his residence after a long illness. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with the Rev. Dick Edgerton officiating. Anchor Lodge 7 AF and AM will present a Masonic Funeral Service. A private family burial will follow. Mr. Gossett was born Nov. 10, 1938, in Sheridan to Harold and Lorna Gossett. He was a 1958 graduate of Sheridan High School. He joined the National Guard after graduation and served eight years as a company cook. He married Joan Harrison Sept. 7, 1958, in Sheridan, and they made their home here while he worked construction. He worked several years for Coca Cola and later for Pepsi Cola. The family moved to Buffalo in 1971, and Mr. Gossett managed the Bison Theater until it closed in 1984. They returned to Sheridan and he managed the Centennial Theaters for one year. They returned to Buffalo, and he went into partnership with the Top Choice Meat Plant. He worked for Jenks Trucking from 1985-87 then worked for Lamb Construction. He also worked for Malapi Mining, the Crossroads Inn and Buffalo Lumber from 1993 until 2001 when ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, a member and past master of Anchor Lodge 7 AF and AM, a past master of the York Rite and a member of the Kalif Temple and Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne, and a sister, Arlene Lopes. Survivors include his wife, of Buffalo; two daughters, Gayle Gill of Buffalo and Janice Sanders of Carpenter; two brothers, Virgil of Sacramento, Calif., and Tom of Laramie; two sisters, Nora Horton of Superior, Mont., and Nita Pixley of Sacramento; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children Travel Fund or the Suzie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Adams Funeral Home.

Tanya Herring

Tanya M. Herring, 30, of Sheridan died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in Deaconess Medical Center in Billings of natural causes. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Kane Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Goodwin officiating. Ms. Herring was born June 26, 1972, in Utica, N.Y., to William H. and Sandra (Legacy) Herring. She spent most of her childhood in Dayton. She was a 1991 graduate of Sheridan High School. She worked as a caregiver in elder care and volunteered at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Lodge 4169 calling Bingo. She loved her cat, Gizmo, and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her parents, of Sheridan; a brother, Thomas of Cheyenne; a sister, Tina Walker of Fort Collins, Colo.; her grandfather, Shirley Herring of Hobe Sound, Fla.; and nieces and nephews. John Partington

John B. “Johnny” Partington, 79, of Sheridan died Friday, March 28, 2003, in the Sheridan VA Medical Center. Graveside services will military honors were 10 a.m. today in the Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, S.D. Arrangements were with Kane Funeral Home. Mr. Partington was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Provo, Utah, to Margaret and Paul Partington. His parents died, and he and his sister went to live and attend school at the Presbyterian orphanage in Laramie. Mr. Partington entered the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was discharged in 1944 and returned to Wyoming. He enjoyed working with leather in occupational therapy at the VA.

F.L. Hamilton

F.L. “Hamie” Hamilton, 84, of Greybull died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in Littleton, Colo., after a long illness. He was father of Patrick Hamilton of Sheridan. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Basin with Father Ron Lytle officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside cemetery in Greybull. Visitation is 2-7 p.m. today in the Atwood Family Chapel in Greybull. Mr. Hamilton was born June 30, 1918, in Davis City, Iowa, to Ernest Melvin and Sarah Ellen (Henderson) Hamilton. The family moved to Greybull when he was a small boy, and he was a graduate of Greybull High School. He married Patricia Elizabeth Coll May 29, 1941, in Evanston. He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a conductor on the railroad, working for Burlington Northern 30 years before he retired. He owned and operated Hamilton Outfitters with his son, Patrick, for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin with family and friends. He served on the Greybull Fire Department for many years, including two terms as chief. He was a town councilman and served two terms as Greybull's mayor. He was a long-time member and past officer of the VFW Leonard C. Purkey Post 3305 and a long-time member of the Shriner's Mason Lodge 34 AF&AM and Elks Lodge 1431, all in Greybull. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 21, 2001. Other survivors include two other children, Diane Hamilton of Littleton, Colo., and Darlene Hopkin of Goldonna, La.; a brother, Kenneth Lavere Hamilton of La Verkin, Utah; two sisters, Verla Kershner of Greybull and Verna Lou Brown of Grand Junction, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial fund to benefit VFW improvements at the Hillside cemetery has been established at the Bank of Greybull, 601 Greybull Ave., Greybull, WY 82426.

Betty Mae Shipman

Betty Mae Shipman, 78, of Sheridan died Monday, March 31, 2003, after a long illness. A celebration of her life will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Sheridan's Elks Lodge 520 at 45 W. Brundage Street. Arrangements are with the family. Mrs. Shipman was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Spokane, Wash., to Matt and Viola (Bingham) Michels. She married Chester Harold Stroup Feb. 29, 1941, in Hardin, Mont. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1944 and worked for Mountain Bell Telephone for 25 years before retiring to pursue travel and leisure activities with Mr. Stroup. He died July 7, 1983. Mrs. Shipman married Gordon Shipman Nov. 15, 1990. She was a member of Eagles Aerie 186 Auxiliary, Elks Lodge 520 Does, the Sheridan Doll Club, Bead Club, the class of 1944 and Mountain Bell Telephone Ladies Group. She played pan Ginny (a card game) every Tuesday with special friends. Survivors include her husband; three children, Sue Brooks of Scio, Ore., and Tom and Harry Stroup of Sheridan; stepdaughters Patty Krasovick of Hamilton, Mont., and Maxine Vering of Arizona; two brothers, Glen Michels and Steve Michels of Idaho; a sister, Josephine Sare of Sheridan; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Donald Mires

Donald R. Mires, 69, of Sheridan died Saturday, March 29, 2003, at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings. Cremation has taken place; services will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are with the family. Mr. Mires was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Handley, Texas, to Leonard and Willie Mae Mires. He married Betty L. Pudge Nov. 20, 1953, in Laramie. He served in the U. S. Armed Forces during the Korean War. The family moved to California following his honorable discharge. Mr. Mires worked in the metallurgical industry until fall 2002 when he retired and he and Mrs. Mires moved to Sheridan to be closer to family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching wildlife and seeing the countryside from the back roads. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Survivors include his wife, of Sheridan; five children, George of Haymarket, Va., Teresa Flammer of Van Nuys, Calif., Michael of North Hollywood, Calif., Steven of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Barbara Eaton of Sheridan; and four grandsons.

Ralph Carpenter

Ralph Donald Carpenter, 96, of Seattle died Saturday, March 29, 2003, in Seattle's Swedish Hospital after suffering a fall in his home. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Seattle. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in Assumption Catholic Church in Seattle. Mr. Carpenter was born May 17, 1906, in Belle Fourche, S.D. The family later moved to Sheridan, and Mr. Carpenter attended schools here. He went to work as a grocery clerk at age 9 and drove a delivery truck starting at age 10. He worked at that occupation to help support his mother and sisters until he was 22. He married Bessie Norman in 1928, and they moved to Seattle then. He worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. in Seattle and Spokane, Wash., until 1966 when he retired. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Sandpoint Golf and Country Club and the Elks. He was preceded in death by Bessie Norman in 1979; a second wife, Marie, in 1991; a son, Donald; and two sisters. Survivors include one son, Duane of Mukilteo, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mary F. Bryant

Mary F. Bryant, 89, of Sheridan died Friday, July 25, 2003, at the residence of Kim and Dorothy Bangerter in Sheridan. Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ronald Stolcis as celebrant. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery in Buffalo. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Bryant was born Aug. 23, 1913, in Pueblo, Colo., to John and Mary (Mezan) Zaletel. She grew up and attended schools in Pueblo. She worked in the Ordinance Depot in Pueblo during World War II. She married Weston W. Bryant Oct. 14, 1950, in Pueblo. They moved to Greybull, then to Sheridan later that year. She enjoyed cooking and baking, fishing and camping with her husband and working in her flower bed. She was a member of the Cheery Chics Homemaker's Club and Holy Name Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and a stepdaughter. Survivors include her daughter, Alice Hepp of Sheridan; three sisters, Rose Jersin, Frances Petros and Dorothy Zele, all of Colorado; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Regina Fauber

Regina Clarie Fauber, 82, of Sheridan died Friday, July 25, 2003, in Westview Health Care Center. Private family funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday in the Sunrise Assembly of God Church in Sheridan with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Burial will be on the family ranch on Lower Prairie Dog Creek. Arrangements are with Adams Funeral Home of Buffalo. Mrs. Fauber was born May 9, 1921, in Oxford, Neb., to Amil and Alice Regalin. She grew up and was educated in Sheridan. She married Clyde Fauber April 13, 1940, in Sheridan. Mr. Fauber worked for the Sheridan VA Hospital, and Mrs. Fauber worked in various restaurants as a waitress. Mr. Fauber died in November 1994. Mrs. Fauber had lived in Westview Health Care Center for three years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Survivors include two sons, Stan of Sheridan and Donald of Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Dorothy Fauber of Florida, Nancy Shehane of Columbus, Ga., and Florence Martin of Sheridan; two sisters, Lucille Clark and Roberta Crocker, both of Sheridan; a half sister, Phyllis Smith of Sheridan; a half brother, Ronald Regalin of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Edna Mae Wilcox

STORY — Edna Mae Wilcox, 89, of Story died Friday, July 18, 2003, in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be 11 a.m. Aug. 25 at the Story Woman's Club. Arrangements are with the family. Mrs. Wilcox was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Lost Springs to Malcolm and Reta Campbell. She grew up in Midwest and Casper and graduated from Natrona High School. She taught school in the area until moving to Denver and, later, Los Angeles, where she worked for Heiland Research and the Los Angeles school board. She returned in 1976 to Story, where her family helped build her home. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, knitting, watching the birds at her year-round feeders and the wildlife outside her windows and visiting Disneyland. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.O. Wilcox. Survivors include a son, Blake; a daughter, Sue; two brothers, Bud and Dick Campbell, both of Story; two sisters, Dorothy Wing of Story and Carol Hayter of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Ed Sittner

A memorial/wake for Ed Sittner, 79, Sheridan, will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the home of his niece and nephew, Lesley Ann and Don Bartlett, 639 W. 15th Ave. in Torrington. Mr. Sittner died Feb. 21 at his home.

Harriet V. Brown

Harriet V. Brown, 85, of Lodge Grass, Mont., died Sunday, July 27, 2003, in Heritage Acres Nursing Home. Funeral services were this morning in Kane Funeral Chapel in Sheridan. Burial was in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Arrangements are with Bullis Mortuary of Hardin, Mont. Memorials may be made to the Big Horn County Historical Society, RR 1, Box 1206 A, Hardin, MT 59034, or to the Big Horn Hospital Foundation, 17 N. Miles, Hardin.

William H. Sept

William H. Sept, 80, of Sheridan died Monday, July 28, 2003, in Sheridan Manor. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment of cremains will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Kane Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Sept was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Neslen, S.D., to John and Helen (Miller) Sept. He worked as a cement finisher in the construction business. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Arnold, Robert, Arthur, Edward and Harry; and five sisters, Tillis Britzman, Doris Sept, Alma Sorenson, Emma Dykes and Leona Lewis. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Gearhart of Buffalo and Bertha Britzman of Riverside, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Marian J. Holland

BUFFALO — Marian Josephine Holland, 96, of Buffalo died Monday, July 28, 2003, in Amie Holt Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 5) at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with graveside services. Visitation will be 1-10 p.m. Monday at Adams Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Mrs. Holland's name to the Jim Gatchell Museum or the Johnson County Library in care of Adams Funeral Home.

Mary Kaltenbach

BUFFALO — Mary Colleen Kaltenbach, 94, of Buffalo died Monday, July 28, 2003, in Amie Holt Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home in Buffalo. Visitation will be 1-10 p.m. Thursday and 8-9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with graveside services. Memorials may be made to Union Congregational Church or the Buffalo Garden Club in care of Adams Funeral Home.

Murel Jean Packard

ARVADA — Murel Jean Packard, 82, of Arvada died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo. Viewing is until 5 p.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Martin Rostad officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Mrs. Packard was born May 11, 1921, in Sheridan to James and Erma (Minster) Enochs. She grew up on the family ranch south of Arvada. She graduated from Sheridan High School and attended business college in Denver. She married Wayne Packard May 29, 1939, at the family ranch. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1948, then moved to Cody. They returned to the ranch south of Arvada in 1967. Mrs. Packard taught piano to neighboring children for many years. She loved music and played various instruments including piano and violin. She enjoyed animals, poetry and storytelling. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. Survivors include a son, Gary of Arvada; a daughter, Wanda Hape of Sheridan; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. William H. Clark Jr.

William Henry Clark Jr., 55, of Sheridan died Saturday, July 19, 2003, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident east of Sheridan. A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Tongue River Canyon. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 21, 1947, in Pomona, Calif., to William Henry Clark Sr. and Catherine Eileen (Nugent) Clark. He grew up in California. He moved to Sheridan in 1998 and worked for Scheckla Trucking as a long-haul driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, horses and his Harley-Davidson. Survivors include his parents, of Pharump, Nev.; a son, William Henry III of Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Jennifer Marie Clark of Las Vegas; five sisters, Mary Flud and Sandy Harris, both of Las Vegas, Linda Moll of Polson, Mont., Kathy Schaffer of Apple Valley, Calif., and Peggy Russell of Big Fork, Mont.; and four grandchildren.

Mildred M. Russell

Mildred Madson Russell, 94, of Sheridan died Friday, July 4, 2003, in Sheridan Manor. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Deerberry officiating. Inurnment will be in Iowa at a later date. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Susie Mitchell

Susie Mitchell, 92, of Sheridan died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in Sheridan Manor. Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Mitchell was born Oct. 1, 1910, in Kooi to George and Mary (Kacet) Soltis. She grew up in Kooi and went to school in Monarch. She worked for the Yentzer Ranch at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains on Big Goose Creek. She married Joe Mitchell in Sheridan. She worked at the sugar factory in Sheridan. The family lived in Monarch and Acme while Mr. Mitchell worked for the Monarch Coal Mine and, later, Big Horn Coal. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed her flowers and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two sons, Alvin of Sheridan and Robert of Gillette; two daughters, Mary Lupton and Donna Ross, both of Washington; a sister, Helen McAdams of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Sheridan Senior Citizens Center Meals on Wheels program, 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801.

Bonnie Kuzara

Former Sheridan resident Bonnie (Williams) Kuzara, 50, of San Marcos, Calif., died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, in San Diego of an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at The New Song Church in Oceanside, Calif. Cremation has occurred, and a celebration of life service in Gillette will be announced later. There will also be a service Aug. 3 in Dubois, after which Mrs. Kuzara's ashes will be spread. Mrs. Kuzara was born Jan. 20, 1953, to Robert E. “Buck” Williams and Ruby (Ruff) Cox. She grew up in the Rozet and Gillette area and attended Rozet Elementary School, Campbell County High School and the University of Wyoming. She later attended the College of Cosmetology in Sheridan. She married Gregg Kuzara Oct. 21, 1984, in Sheridan. She spent most of her working life in the insurance industry. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Angela, and son, Alex, all of San Marcos; her stepfather, Dean Cox of Dubois; her stepmother, Charlotte Allen of Gillette; two brothers, Bob and Bill Williams, both of Gillette; sisters Connie Williams of Gillette, Kendra Kostreba of Star Valley, Lynn Scott of Aurora, Colo., and Kim Dack of Eagle Point, Ore.; and a grandmother, B. Boutileer of Gillette. Donations may be made to The Gilda Radner Foundation or the March of Dimes in care of Connie Williams, 5200 Stone Gate Ave., Gillette, WY 82718.

Frances Gillis

Frances Kathleen (Brantz) Gillis, 81, of Sheridan died Saturday, July 19, 2003, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. Viewing is 7-9 p.m. today at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral services will 10 a.m. Thursday in Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor William Heine officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Elks cemetery. Mrs. Gillis was born July 14, 1922, in Monarch to Andre and Kathryn (Marosok) Brantz. She was a 1940 graduate of Sheridan High School. She married William J. Gillis in 1942. They later divorced. She married Otto Heczko in 1965; they later divorced. Mrs. Gillis worked at the original Pentagon building in Washington, D.C. She later returned to Sheridan and worked 46 years for Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. She bowled many years for Ernest Saddlery. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She belonged to Eagles, Moose and DOES. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter, and a sister, Victoria. Survivors include a son, Robert of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, WY 82801.
