THELMA B. SHAW

Cheyenne - Services for Thelma B Shaw, 92, will be heldat 2:00 pm January 15 at Schrader Chapel with Pastor Max Janzen officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens. She died January 11 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born October 17, 1905 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She married " target="_blank">married Roy E Shaw on July 7, 1924.

Shaw has been a homemaker. She was affiliated with Sunnyside Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sons, Charles T Shaw and Ron Ruiz (raised as a son), both of Cheyenne; three daughters, Elaine Shephens of Long Beach, California, Kathleen Herron of Joplin, Missouri, Shirley Fosnight of Huntington Beach, California; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E Shaw on January 12, 1980; a son, William Shaw; a daughter, Mary Lou Armstrong; and her parents, Charles A and Lilly M Gambrell.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Ruiz, Nathaniel Ruiz, Cliff Grout, Jim Johnson, Bob Ryland and Brian Hendricks.

Friends may contribute to Sunnyside Baptist Church, PO Box 5267, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82003.

MATHILDA WALKER
80

Cheyenne - Funeral Liturgy for Mathilda "Tillie" Walker, 80, will be held at 10:00 am January 10 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Gerald Sullivan as celebrant. Private interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery. She died January 7.

She was born October 6, 1917, in Carneyville, Wyoming. She married " target="_blank">married Laurence A Walker on June 1, 1946, in Jackson.

Walker was a retired teacher and had worked in Laramie, Jackson, Sheridan and Florida. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kappa Delta Pi, Newman Center in Laramie, Salvation Army and Red Cross Grey Ladies.

She is survived by one son, David Walker of Cheyenne; two sisters, Mary Waisner and Halen Legerski, both of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Walker; her parents, Andrew and Eva Michalek; one brother; and one sister.

Friends may contribute to the Salvation Army, food for the church pantries, or the University of Wyoming-Laurence A Walker Scholarship Fund, P O Box 3963, Laramie, Wyoming, 82071-3963.

ROBERT F. ELDRIDGE

Cheyenne - Private family services will be held for Robert F Eldridge, 77. He died January 7 at United Medical Center-West.

Eldridge married " target="_blank">married Ruth Granlund on July 7, 1951, in Cheyenne. He served as a flight instructor in the U S Navy during World War II. He was Vice President of Ideal Aerosmith and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Eldridge of Cheyenne; his mother, Betty Eldridge of Greeley, Colorado; and one brother, Jack Eldridge of Longmont, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Eldridge; one sister, Jane Eldridge; and one brother, Harvey Eldridge Jr.

Friends may contribute to the Wyoming Lung Association or Meals on Wheels.

Cheyenne - Trisagion service for Chanter Emeritus Nicholas George Cledon will be held at 7:00 pm January 7 at Schrader Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm January 8 at Schrader Chapel with Father Dean Talagan and Father Peter Harrison officiating. Interment will be in Beth El Cemetery. He died January 5.

He was born April 26, 1896 in Calamonti, Greece.

Cledon had owned a deli store in Denver from 1928-1938 when he came to Cheyenne. He then worked at the Mayflower Cafe until 1963 and also worked at the Midwest Cafe in Laramie. He served in the Greek Army during World War II. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of Sts. Constantine and Helen, where he served for 25 years as cantor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No 3, Laramie A F and A M; Rawlins Korean Shrine; and the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association.

Pallbearers will be Philip G Andrews, George Zaharas, Sam Contos, Alex Eliopulos, Zack Costopoulos and Nick Kalokathis.

Friends may contribute to the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Constantine and Helen.

ARLYN GODBEHERE

Phoenix, Arizona - Services for Arlyn Godbehere, 50, will be held at 1:00 January 7 at Schrader Chapel with Father Tim Solon officiating. He died January 1 in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was born July 10, 1947, in Cheyenne.

Godbehere had lived in Cheyenne and in Bouse, Arizona. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Kauffman, Kimberly Godbehere, and Stacey Godbehere, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers, Bob Godbehere and Tom Holder, both of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Becky Murray also of Denver; and three grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Godbehere, Michael Godbehere, Tom Holder, Zane Godbehere, Mike Moran and Richard Shaw.

Friends may contribute to the Paralyzed Veterans Association, 1101 Syracuse, Denver, Colorado, 80220.

CAROLINE SIDWELL

Cheyenne - A memorial service for Caroline Sidwell, 58, will be held at 11:00 am January 6 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Rex Whitman officiating. Cremation has taken place at Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory. She died January 4 at her home.

She was born January 9, 1939, in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Sidwell had been employed by US West as a technical assistant. She was a member of American Legion Post 6.

She is survived by two sons, Eldon Tolle of Pierce, Colorado and Troy George of Cheyenne; two daughters, Sally Bean and Lori Coppinger, both of Cheyenne; her mother, Blanche George of Cheyenne; her step-mother, Irma Sidwell of Eaton, Colorado; a brother, Leland Sidwell; four sisters, Eva Berg, Monna DePorter, Shirley Bradshaw and Cindy Hooper; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Edward Sidwell; her step-father, Orval George; and a brother, Bruce Sidwell.

Friends may contribute to the American Cancer Society.

DANIEL R. SHAW

Cheyenne - Funeral Liturgy for Daniel R Shaw, 84, will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 3, at St Mary's Cathedral with Father Carl Beavers as the celebrant. Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard. He died November 30 at Life Care Center.

He was born February 12, 1913, in Ivanhoe, North Carolina. He married " target="_blank">married Marguerite Fowler on November 21, 1949, in Huthinson, Kansas.

Shaw had been a mechanical engineer. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of St Mary's Cathedral and the United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the plumbing and pipe fitting industry, Local 192.

He is survived by one brother, Robert Eugene Shaw of Ivanhoe;and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Shaw in February, 1977; and three brothers, "Buddy" Aubrey and Douglas.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Curtright, Scott Shaw and Harry Shaw.

MILDRED C. DORN

Cheyenne - Visitation will be held for Mildred C Dorn from 8 am to 6 pm on November 30, at Schrader Funeral Home. Services will be held in Burlington, Iowa. She died November 28 at Life Care Center.

She was born July 21, 1906, in Osceola, Iowa. She married " target="_blank">married Daniel D Dorn on April 23, 1926 in Indianola, Iowa.

Dorn was retired. She had owned motels in Fort Madison and Burlington, Iowa. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a former member of Musical Entertainment Group, Kings Daughters and was a church organist for many years. She was also a former president of the American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by three sons, Dan C Dorn of Dallas, Texas, Eugene Dorn of Des Moines, Iowa, and David Dorn of Burlington, Iowa; one daughter, Norma Calhoun of Cheyenne; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel D Dorn in 1967.

Friends may contribute to the American Lung Association.

Cheyenne - Funeral services for John M Dougherty, 73, will be at 2:00 pm December 2 at Schrader Chapel. Dr Darrel Cory will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens. He died November 27 at United Medical Center - West.

He was born July 29, 1924, in Cheyenne. He married " target="_blank">married Myrt Hopkins on August 6, 1950, in Burns.

Dougherty had been a service manager at Wortham Machinery since 1949 and was a veterean of World War II, serving in the US Navy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ray Dougherty, Rob Dougherty and Rick Dougherty, all of Cheyenne; brother Edward Dougherty of Cheyenne; sister Edna Humphrey of Laramie; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Dougherty, on January 11, 1992, and his parents, John and Avis Dougherty.

Pallbearers will be John Dougherty, Run Hopkins, Brett Humphrey, Chris Humphrey, Cody Humphrey and Mike Derr.

Friends may contribute to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
