Estherlene J. Patz
April 4, 1920 – November 9, 2010

Estherlene J. Patz, 90, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan. Estherlene “Lena” Patz was born to Concetta Amarosa and Frank Otterino Madia on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1920, in Kleenburn, Wyoming. As a young woman she worked as a teacher at the Wagner School in Acme and at the Murphy Gulch schools, and also as a receptionist for Dr. Frackleton. In later years she worked for Dr. Pettit. She married Frank Patz on June 15, 1941 at the St. Thomas Church in Monarch, Wyoming. During World War II, Lena, her sister Rose Marie, and brother Selwyn produced a newsletter which they sent out to servicemen from Monarch. Over the years, Frank’s 27 year Army career took her to live in many states as well as Japan, Italy, and Germany. She and her family returned to Sheridan in 1970. She enjoyed keeping in contact with her friends from the military. She was a wonderful cook and hostess. She was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church as well as the Holy Name St. Frances Council of Catholic Women. She loved her family and friends and treasured spending time with her grandchildren. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, a sister and her husband, Frank. She is survived by her three children; Fred Patz of Sheridan, Wyoming; Greg Patz (Deanna) of Juneau, Alaska; and Laura Crawford (Harold H.) of Buffalo, Wyoming; her sister Rose Marie Madia of Sheridan, Wyoming; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation for Lena will be at Kane Funeral Home on Thursday, November 11, 2011, at 6:00 pm with Christian Wake Service Services at 7:00 pm, with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 12, 2010, at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating, interment will be held in the Sheridan Elks cemetery, with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus, 301 E. Brundage, Sheridan, Wyoming. Memorials to honor Lena may be made to the Holy Name School Foundation, Box 6611, Sheridan, WY, 82801. Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library, 335 W. Alger, Sheridan, WY 82801, and the Sheridan Senior Citizen’s Center, 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Harriett Cover Hough
August 20, 1933 – November 6, 2010

Harriett Hough, 77, a long time resident of Oro Valley, AZ, died in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, November 6, 2010. She died of cancer. Harriett was born on August 20, 1933 in Akron, CO and was raised in Casper, WY. She attended Natrona County High School. Later she attended Sheridan Beauty College for a cosmetology degree and later went on to get her certification as Cosmetology Instructor. In addition to owning and operating beauty salons in Dayton and Ranchester, WY, she instructed at the Sheridan Beauty College. Harriett served on the Wyoming State Board of Cosmetology as auditor and examiner. Harriett loved the community theater and was cast in several performances in Casper and Sheridan, WY. She received the “Best Supporting Actress” award for her performance in The Chalk Garden. Harriett took keen interest contributing her part for civic duties including: instrumental role in progressing infant polio vaccinations in Casper; active member of Casper and Dayton/Ranchester chapter of VFW Auxiliary; and President and board member of her resident association (The Highlands in Oro Valley). She received great pleasure as a board member of the Oro Valley Arts Council where the results of her efforts will live on through sculptures and other art works placed around the rapidly growing city of Oro Valley. Harriett was an active member of the Foothills Community Church of Oro Valley. Harriett’s pastimes include cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, reading and gardening. Harriett is survived by her children Holly Gupton of Sheridan, WY; Dennis McCarthy (Debbie) of Oro Valley, AZ; Terry McCarthy (Bonnie) of Atlanta, GA; Kay McCarthy (Billie) of Henderson, NV; and Patrick McCarthy (Thelba) of Peoria, IL; her step-children James Cover (Valerie) of Cody, WY; and Jeanette Cover of Columbia, IL; her siblings Janice Cyprian (Rudy) of Tucson, AZ; Gwen Ricketts (Paul) of Buena Park, CA; Larry Monk (Irene) of St. George, UT; Harry Monk Jr. (Shannon) of Farmington, NM; Susan Kannard of Farmington, NM; Sandy Blaisdell (Nick) of Durango, CO; Randy Monk of Grand Junction, CO; Merle Monk (Cheryl) of Farmington, NM; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Harriett is survived by her best friends Barbara, David and Jennifer Dresher of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by her cat Juno. Harriett was preceded in death by her mother Vivian Monk Parker, her father Harry Monk, her step-father Harold “Bud” Parker, her son Michael McCarthy, and her brother George Monk. Memorial services are planned for the spring in Dayton, WY (date to be announced). Memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Harriett’s name.

Gail Youde Jones
January 11, 1911 – November 7, 2010

Gail Youde Jones, born to Guy C. And Zelma (Cobb) Youde on January 11, 1911 on a farm near Sutherland, Iowa, died at Sheridan Manor on November 7, 2010. She graduated from Sutherland High School in 1928 and Nurses Training at the Methodist Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa in 1932. She married L. H. "Heinie" Jones August 18, 1935. They lived together in Sioux City until his death in 1999. She worked as a private duty nurse, in hospitals and doctor’s offices. She did volunteer work for St. Luke’s Hospital, Samaritan Home, Florence Crittendon Home and Girl Scouts of America. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Sioux City since 1935, PEO chapter HZ and Shrine Auxiliary. In 2004 she moved to Sugarland Ridge Assisted Living Facility in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers Delmar C., Lyle L., and Roger D. Youde. She is survived by her daughter Janet Haight (Roger) of Sheridan, Wyoming, son Mark M. Jones (Lynn)of Los Alamos, New Mexico, grandchildren Tamara Jones-Trumbull (Lyle) of Bala-Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Sharon Jones of Sacramento, California, Kyle Haight (Anne) of San Jose, California, Kevin Haight of Tempe, Arizona, great-grand sons Neil and Miles Trumbull of Bala-Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, cousins Hallie and Dorothea Cobb of Primghar, Iowa and seventeen nieces and nephews. Gail was a loving wife, mother and friend, an accomplished cook, seamstress and hostess, and a positive influence on all. She will remain in the memories of her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Graceland Park cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa in the spring of 2011. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local arrangements.

Suzanne Snyder Gates
January 3, 1940 – November 3, 2010

Suzanne Snyder Gates, 70, of Story, died November 3 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joel Gates, and is survived by her daughters Martha Gates Hedrick, of Fort Collins CO, Lisa Gates, of Boise ID, Sarah Gates, of Salida CO, and her son Jonathan Gates, of Story. Suzanne Gates was born Suzanne I. Snyder in New York City on January 3, 1940. Growing up in Manhattan, she attended private school at Chapin and Wheaton College. As a girl and into her teenage years, she vacationed with her family in Allenhurst New Jersey, Santa Fe, and later at Tepee Lodge in the Big Horn Mountains. She worked several summers at Tepee where she met her future husband in 1959. In 1960 she married Joel Gates and together they settled permanently into Wyoming as a working ranch family. Sue and Joel began their lives together working at Dutch Creek with Amory Hubbard. They later moved to Leiter where Joel was a ranch foreman for Jack Chase. After a brief stay in Big Horn, the family bought and operated their own farm and ranching outfit, Owl Creek Ranch, on what is now Green Carpet Sod. In 1976 Sue and Joel moved the family to Story where they lived out the rest of their lives. Sue studied nursing at Sheridan College and later earned her Master’s degree. After working in hospitals in Sheridan and Buffalo, she later became part of the nursing faculty at Sheridan College where she helped many current-day nurses reach their goals and develop their careers. After her time at Sheridan College, she later focused her efforts toward several community programs and served multiple board functions for organizations including Family Planning of the Big Horns, Sheridan Memorial Hospital, C.H.A.P.S., the Sheridan County Dog and Cat Shelter, and others. In 1993 Sue and Joel purchased their cabin at Tepee and that became an important and beloved part of Sue’s life. She loved to ride and especially loved having her grandchildren Meredith and Julienne Kuchera and Abigail and Joel Hedrick visit her at Tepee. During the long Wyoming winters, she dedicated much of her time writing grant proposals for various non-profit organizations throughout the community. Sue impacted many and will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services and celebration of Sue’s life will take place at 3:00pm on Friday, November 12 at the Powder Horn Clubhouse. Gayle Marie Kennedy Ketterlin
October 9, 1949 – October 25, 2010

Gayle Marie Kennedy Ketterlin, 61, of Amarillo, TX, died on Monday, October 25, 2010, after a courageous battle with melanoma. Gayle was born on October 9, 1949 in Newcastle, Wyoming, the first of six daughters born to Donald (Doc) and Beverly Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Beverly Kennedy of Newcastle, her grandparents, Willard and Elizabeth Kennedy and Preston and Josie Blakeley, several aunts and uncles and one niece. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Don Ketterlin; two sons, Derek and wife Kristy, Brian and wife Stacy, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Sadie, Zoey, Claire, Britton and Hannah, all of Amarillo; five sisters, Sherry Schroepfer of Washington, MO, Vickie Mader of Sheridan, WY, Susan Dasher of Mountain View, WY, Karen Cattles of Casper, WY and Lori Baggs of Sheridan, WY; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Daniel I. Springer
October 25, 1932 – November 5, 2010

Daniel I. Springer, 78, of Sheridan passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010, at Sheridan Manor surrounded by his family. Dan was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on October 25, 1932 to Lena Dowell and William Springer. He was raised in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1949. Dan joined the Navy in May of 1951, and retired from Naval Services December 3, 1998 after 32 years of service. He was a Master Chief Petty Officer and served in Korea. He married Jean Arnieri on September 17, 1955. Later he married Willa Fugate on January 11, 1999 in Sheridan. He was a rancher, worked at the Wyoming Highway Department, Decker Coal, Sheridan Country Club and Sugarland Development. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Life Member Elks 520, the American Legion with 52 years, and plank owner USA Navy Memorial in Washington DC. Dan enjoyed fishing, gardening and yard work and loved spending time with his friends and family. Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Springer on June 15, 1997 and also his parents. Charles Buell
July 22, 1916 – November 5, 2010

Funeral services for Charles Buell, 94 year old lifetime Johnson County Pioneer who passed away quietly Friday at his home in Buffalo, surrounded by his family, will be held Tuesday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Bob Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Buffalo Senior Center, the Buffalo FFA or the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. There will be a reception for all family and friends following the graveside at the American Legion Hall in Buffalo. Charles E. Buell was born on July 22, 1916 at the Glen Haven Ranch on Shell Creek, in Johnson County, Wyoming the eldest son of Miles and Helen “White” Buell. Charles grew up on the ranch and received his primary education at the Shell Creek Grade School. He graduated from Johnson County High School in 1934. After high school he worked on the John Winniger Ranch in Cody and returned to work at the family ranch on Shell Creek. Charles married Pearl Bybee on December 23, 1939 at her brother Frank Bybee’s Ranch also on Shell Creek. Charles and Pearl made their home on the Glen Haven Ranch until the summer of 1940 when he went to work for the Forest Service and they lived together in a tent in the Big Horn Mountains at Muddy Guard Ranger Station and also in Hunter Lookout Tower. They moved into Buffalo in 1947 where they eventually made their home on Brock Street. Charles started C.E. Buell Trucking in 1945 which he operated until 1995. In those 50 years he logged millions of miles driving truck. After retirement Charles and Pearl continued living in Buffalo on Brock Street until the time of his death.Trucking and the Grange organization held a very important place in Charles’ life. He was a member of the Grange since 1945, serving as Master of the Shell Creek-Piney Grange, the Klondike-Piney Grange, the Johnson County-Pomona Grange and also the Wyoming State Grange for several years. He was also a member of the National Grange. He was on the board of the Easter Seal Camp, he was a 4-H and FFA supporter and was on the Wyoming State Highway Board and the Wyoming Trucker’s Association. As a trucker he was the driving force behind building the first runaway truck ramp on Highway 16 above Buffalo. Charles served as the Camp Boss of the Big Horn Mountain Roundup for 30 years and received the Pax Irvin Sportsmanship award in 1996. He served two terms as a Johnson County Commissioner from 1976 until 1984. He also served as a Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy. He is survived by his wife Pearl of Buffalo; two sons, Robert Buell and his wife Sharon and Chuck Buell and his wife Linda all of Buffalo; three daughters, Sandy Leis and her husband Bill of Buffalo, Jeannie Fitch and her husband Buck of Riggins, Idaho and Bonnie Klasinski and her husband John of Buffalo; two brothers Ralph Buell of Cheyenne and Eldon Buell of Sheridan; thirteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents four brothers and two sisters.

Georgia G. Couch
September 3, 1922 – November 5, 2010

The private graveside service for Georgia G. Couch, 88, of Sheridan, who died Fri, Nov. 5th, will be held on Tues., Nov. 9th at 11:00 am at Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Scott Orchard will be officiating. Mrs. Couch was born on Sept. 3, 1922 in North Platte, Nebraska. On Nov. 23, 1946 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she married William L. Couch who died in 2001. Following their marriage they lived in Nebraska where they had five children. They eventually moved to Eagle Point, Oregon and finally to Laramie, Wyoming. In her later years she retired to Sheridan, Wyoming. Georgia was a wonderful hard-working mother who dedicated her life to raising her children. She loved cross-word puzzles and was an excellent rummy player. She enjoyed watching Wheel-of-Fortune. She was avid animal lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and a brother. Survivors include two daughters, Eileen Butterfield, Phoenix, AZ; Patricia Johnson, Havelock, NC; and three sons, Tom Couch, Sheridan, WY; Chester Couch and Arthur Couch of Medicine Bow, WY; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Velma Irene (Macklin) Wolff
September 8, 1915 – November 2, 2010

Funeral services for Velma Irene Wolff, 95, will be held Thursday, November 11, 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Casper with Pastor Robert McNamara celebrating. Interment will follow in Highland cemetery in Casper, Wy. Visitation will be from 6-7 P.M., Wed. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 710 E. 2nd St., Casper, Wy. Velma passed away at Sheridan Manor, Nov. 2, 2010. She recently celebrated her 95th birthday Sept. 8, 2010 at Sugarland Ridge Retirement Home in Sheridan, after moving there this past summer. Velma previously lived 48 years in Casper. Velma was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Big Springs, Nebraska to Lewis and Emma Zalman. She was raised on a farm homestead in Nebraska, attended a country school, and graduated from Big Springs High School in 1932. She became a certified teacher for the country schools in Deuel County, Nebraska at the age of 16. Later, Velma received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at the University of Wyoming in 1968, the same year her son, Kent Macklin graduated from UW. Velma married Seddie Macklin July 10, 1937 in Sidney, Nebraska. After living their early years in Nebraska, they moved to Laramie, Wy. where their first child, Kent was born. Later, while living in Casper, Wy., their daughter Marcine was born. Velma also lived in Buffalo where Seddie owned the Ford garage. After Seddie’s death, Velma married Harold Wolff, Aug. 8, 1961. They lived in Casper where Velma taught in the elementary school system until retiring at the age of 70. She loved teaching. Her daughter, Marcine and granddaughter, Andrea, followed in her footsteps. Velma was active many years at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Casper, helping with the Ladies group that made quilts for the needy, and she served on the Altar Guild. In Buffalo, she was a Sunday school teacher, and played the organ on Sundays. She was known for her excellent cooking, canning, and making homemade jellies. She enjoyed gardening, raised a large vegetable garden and grew many flowers, especially beautiful roses. She loved to paint the lovely flowers. She also enjoyed her pet cats through the years. In her later years at the retirement homes, she truly appreciated the loving care she received from the nurses and aides. She is survived by her son, Kent (Donna) Macklin, Casper, daughter Marcine (Robert) Kvidahl, Sheridan, grandson, Christopher Sly, Cheyenne, granddaughter Andrea Macklin Davey, (Brian) and granddaughters, Emma and Caitlyn, Gilbert, AZ, and grandson, Nathan Macklin, Washington, DC . She was preceded in death by her husbands, Seddie, and Harold, parents, Louis and Emma Zalman, and brother, Marvin Zalman. Velma leaves a legacy of loving, learning, and serving. She loved the Lord and was ready to be at home with Him. SFC Phillip C. Tanner
October 18, 1967 – October 26, 2010

SFC Phillip C. Tanner, 43, Clarksville, TN died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in Kuwait. A celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson, with full military honors with Chaplain Michael Krog officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. He was born October 18, 1967 in Wyoming and was preceded in death by his father, Martin Allen Tanner; mother, Evelyn Walston LaFever; step-father, Harley Dean LaFever; and step-brother, Harley Dean LaFever II. SFC Tanner was a Motor Transportation Operator assigned to 541st Transportation Company, 106th Transportation Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He joined the Army in Oct 1993 and arrived at Fort Campbell in March 2007. His awards and decorations include: Bronze Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal; Non- Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; National Defense Service Medal; Korea Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; United Nations Medal; NATO Medal; and Driver Mechanic Badge. He was a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Hyun Tanner, Clarksville; daughter, Ashley M. Tanner, Hinesville, GA; sisters, Taresa Baldwin, Bedford, IND, Shara Sidebottom, Springfield, OR, Harlettie Skaggs, Eakly, OK; step-sisters, Lorraine LaFever and Gail LaFever. Edith Iona Johnson Risdahl Morris
June 9, 1937 – October 31, 2010

Edith Iona Johnson Risdahl Morris passed onto our Heavenly Father Sunday October 31st 2010. She was born to Richard Carl Johnson and Agnes Christine Vlach Johnson on June 9th 1937 in Missoula Montana. Edith was a homemaker much of her life. She worked for a short at the DMV in Missoula in her younger years and later after settling in Sheridan Wyoming she worked for a bit at Sheridan Cablevision. Edith spent her last few years in Albany Oregon. She was an artist and used many different mediums for her work but specifically loved to paint. Edith was a very beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a beautiful example of unconditional love and will be greatly missed. Edith was survived by her husband Robert Bruce Morris of Albany Oregon, her sisters Janet Christina of Great Falls Montana and Arlene Bakke of Missoula Montana. She was also survived by her sons Gregory Risdahl of Tok Alaska, Richard Morris of Williston North Dakota, Reuben Morris of Dayton Wyoming, and step son Daniel Morris of Laurel Montana, her daughters Susan Pittman of Milton Washington, Michelle Hoyt of Albany Oregon, and step daughters Lori Knapp of Frenchtown Montana, and Roberta Morris of Billings Montana, as well as many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Andrew Risdahl of Bozeman Montana. Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Missoula Montana at 11AM on Saturday November 6th 2010.

Wendy Esponda
February 18, 1958 – November 2, 2010

Funeral services for Wendy Esponda, 52 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Tuesday at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo will be held Saturday November 6th at 2:00 p.m. at the Buffalo High School Auditorium with Reverend John Constantine officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Wendy Esponda Memorial Education Fund for her sons in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Wendy Anne Esponda was born on February 18, 1958 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Richard and Beverly Condit. She grew up and attended school in Buffalo, graduating from Johnson County High School in 1976. After high school she spent one year in Bolivia as a Rotary Exchange Student. She attended Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and the University of Wyoming, before transferring to Eastern Montana College in Billings where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Business. After college she taught in Clearmont, Wyoming and later in Sheridan. Wendy was married on August 5th, 1983 in Buffalo to Mitch Esponda and they made their home in Buffalo. In 2005, she began teaching Spanish in Buffalo and continued until the time of her death. Wendy shared her love of languages and travel with many students over the years. She was on the Board of the Jim Gatchell Museum. She volunteered at the Summer Art Guild, and was the coordinator from 2002 to 2008. An active member in the Union Congregational Church, she motivated the church to be involved in the Compassion International program. She loved music, art and taking photos. Wendy could often be seen behind the camera taking pictures at sports events, concerts, and at family gatherings. She is survived by two sons, Mitchell and Kasey Esponda both of Buffalo; two brothers Steve Condit and his wife Linda of Seattle, Washington and Brett Condit and his wife Therese of Camano Island, Washington; two sisters Terry Brooks and her husband Allen of Buffalo and Mandy Stinson and her husband Glen of Powell, Wyoming and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lawrence R. Brewer
March 18, 1934 – October 29, 2010

Lawrence R. Brewer, 76, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Westview Healthcare Center. Lawrence was born on March 18, 1934 in Alva, OK to Ollie and Molly (Bitner) Brewer. He married Bessie Marie Ludden on December 31, 1961. After graduating from Alva High School he joined the joined the Navy and served on the USS Hector during the Korean War. After service he worked as a farmer/rancher at the Padlock Ranch for 30 years. Lawrence was a 30 year member of the VFW, serving as Commander 1970-71, 74-75, National Aide de Camp 1976, All State Team Post Commander 1970-71, Quarter Master 1977-2005, 100 Hours Service at VA Medical Center, Chairman- Voice of Democracy Essay Contest. Lawrence was proceeded in death by his parents, wife and siblings. He is survived by a sister in law, Margarette Smith of Lemoore, CA., and a brother in law Lawrence A. Ludden of Marleton, NJ. Graveside service for Lawrence will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Dayton cemetery with Pastor Bob Logan Sr. officiating. Memorials to honor Lawrence can be made to the Tongue River Baptist Church at P.O. Box 626, Ranchester, WY 82839. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mary Kusel
April 27, 1931 – November 1, 2010

Mary Kusel, 79, of Sheridan went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan. Mary was born on April 27, 1931 in Sheridan Wyoming to parents Anna and Joseph Ligocki. She married Henry W. Kusel in Buffalo on May 28, 1966. They had 4 children. Mary enjoyed crocheting, canning vegetables from her garden, flowers from her garden, traditional polish dinners, family, friends, their dog "Chimi", but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by a Grandson Brian Flack, sisters; Francis McCune, Julia Krenzelok, Ann Murray, Helen Kobielusz, and brother Joe Ligocki. Mary is survived by her husband Hank, children Tina Flack (Ken Decker), Chris Samietz (Mike), Randal Dean Tissino, and Sandi Sousley (Chris). Grandchildren, Christian Flack, Jeremy and D.J. Samietz, Shawn, Michelle Sousley. Christian Mass will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:00 at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. interment will be at Mt. Hope cemetery in Big Horn with a reception to follow at the Holy Name Parish Hall. Memorials to honor Mary can be made to the Sheridan Senior Citizen’s Center at 211 Smith St., Sheridan, WY 82801, and for Masses for Mary at Holy Name Church. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Stephen Edward Songer
May 27, 1943 – October 27, 2010

Steve passed away peacefully at the CTCA in Tulsa, OK, in the company of his family after his courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Steve was born in Sheridan; then later moved to California where he graduated from San Marcos High School in 1961. He returned to Sheridan shortly thereafter and has been a resident since. Steve’s most rewarding career was the 13 years that he spent as the Property Manager and family member of the Sheridan County YMCA. The last 3 years he volunteered at the YMCA of the Big Horns. His unique ability to fix nearly anything was cherished by all those that worked along side him. Steve also worked as a mechanic for Decker Coal, a salesman for Hammer’s Chevrolet, restored cars for Bob Carson, and also owned and operated Songer’s Cycle in the 70’s. Steve will be remembered for his smile and willingness to help out those in need, yet asking for nothing in return. Steve is survived by his mother Henrietta “Hank” Songer, who resides here in Sheridan, as well as the love of his life, Ann Revelle, and her two sons Phillip & Angie Bohnsack, of Sheridan and Stan & Sara Bohnsack of Baltimore, MD, both of whom he cared for as his own sons. In addition, Steve’s sons are Stephen “Troy” & Brenda Songer of Orangevale, CA, Brian & Moana Songer, and Kevin Songer of Sheridan. His Grandchildren include Christin Songer & Michael Songer both of Orangevale, Megan Songer, Mindy Songer and Sera Songer, all of Sheridan, as well as Abigail Bohnsack of Baltimore and Sierra Bohnsack of Sheridan. Cousins include Cliff Calkins of Homer Alaska and Barbara Miller of Utah. Steve was preceded in death by his father Charles Adrian Songer and also his paternal father, Edward Matthews. Steve asked for a Celebration of Life, which we be held on Friday, Nov 5th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Elks BPOE #520, located at 45 W. Brundage Lane in Sheridan. Carry in reception is being coordinated by Terri Bare 674-7055. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked your tax deductible donations be sent to: Assistance in Health Care, Inc. Ross Walter Page
May 21, 1940 – October 30, 2010

Ross Walter Page, 70, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 doing what he loved most, hunting elk near his cabin in the Big Horn Mountains in Buffalo, WY. Ross was born on May 21, 1940, in Buffalo, WY to Albert and Alice (Price) Page. Ross grew up in Buffalo and retired in his home town. Ross had many occupations where he started out working various construction jobs, helping build roads from Montana through Wyoming and then moving on to working and retiring as a perator for Amax Coal Company Bel Aye Mine in Gillette, WY. Ross enjoyed spending time in the mountains with family, mountain friends and the boys hunting, fishing, and working on his cabin. When not in the mountains Ross had his morning ritual of going to McDonalds and having coffee with the guys and going for his evening walks with his beloved dog Bobbie. Ross loved his wife, children, grandkids and great grandkids and family very much and always had a big smile on his face when they were around. Ross married Dona Marie Tryner on July 13, 1968. They shared 42 wonderful and fulfilling years together. Ross was proceeded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Dona, children Frank (Pam), Victoria (Jeff) Sautner, and Chuck (Lana), brother Jerry (Betty) and sisters Judy (Carl) Ireland, Marilyn (Allen) Kusler, grandchildren, Stephanie (Noah) McKee, Mandy (Tyrell) Brown, Jordan, Colby, Nickie, Kooper and Kason, and great grandchildren, Kimber, Gavin, and R.J. Service for Ross will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Wesleyan Church, 40 N. Desmet Ave., Buffalo, WY 82834. With Pastor Bob officiating. A reception will follow at Church. Memorials to honor Ross can be made to the Dull Knife Property Association, 789 N. Burritt Ave., Buffalo, WY 83834, Attn: John Miller. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
