BUFFALO - Ronald Albert Harris, 78, of Buffalo died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Johnson County Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bob McHenry and Jamie Gronenberg officiating. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Sunday and 8-9:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Willow Grove cemetery with military graveside services by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorials may be made to the Wesleyan Church Building Fund in care of Adams Funeral Home, 351 N. Adams, Buffalo, WY 82834.

Judy A. Rasmussen

Memorial services for Judy A. Rasmussen, 59, of Sheridan will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Latter-day Saints. Arrangements are with Champion Funeral Home. Mrs. Rasmussen died Monday, March 5, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital of natural causes. She was born Feb. 11, 1948, in Roseburg, Ore., to Elmer and Louise Hartle. She grew up and graduated from high school in Oregon and worked as a waitress. She married Mike Huff. They lived in Bend, Ore., before moving to Rock Springs. She and Mr. Huff were divorced, and she married Earl Rasmussen in Sheridan, where they moved in 1996. She worked at Westview Health Care Center and then Sheridan Manor. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the mountains. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Rick Hall of Sheridan and Wesley Huff of Buffalo; a daughter, Adina Huff of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Bob Hartle; three sisters, Nancy Betacourt, Esther Sanchez and Janet Sanborn; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Rose Baker

Vigil services for Rose Baker, 84, of Sheridan will be 7 p.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Funeral liturgy will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ronald Stolcis officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Elks cemetery. Mrs. Baker died Monday, March 5, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She was born March 15, 1922, in Kleenburn to Bruno and Elizabeth (Varcalli) Polito. She grew up on a ranch near Decker, Mont., and attended Monument Creek School. The family moved into Sheridan in 1940, and she graduated from Sheridan High School in 1942. She worked at the Lotus Cafe until 1944, when she began a 50-year career as a sales clerk for Von Ragsdale Co., C.R. Anthony's, J.M. McDonald's and Conrad's. She retired from Conrad's in 1994. She married Maxon Baker on July 13, 1947, in Sheridan. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking for her family. She was preceded by in death by two sisters, Josephine Polito and Mary Bach. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Janus Powell of Ranchester; two sisters, Ellen Polito of Sheridan and Lois Lewis of Hardin, Mont.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may benefit the Diabetes Foundation.

DeLaine Ann Wagner

Funeral services for DeLaine Ann Wagner, 85, of Sheridan, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Seventh-day Adventist Church with the Rev. Weldon Treat officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal cemetery under direction of Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Wagner died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in Sheridan Manor. She was born July 18, 1921, on a ranch near Gillette to Earl and Christina (Zeigler) Camblin. She grew up on the Pumpkin Butte Ranch and graduated from high school in Gillette. She received a nursing degree from St. John's McNamara nursing school in Rapid City in 1942. She married Wesley Traner in 1944. They divorced. She married Albert Wagner in 1955. They lived in Sheridan and divorced. Mrs. Wagner lived for a time in Gillette and worked at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. She later returned to Sheridan and worked at Memorial Hospital, Sheridan VA Medical Center and Sheridan Manor, where she retired. A member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, she was an avid rockhound and enjoyed the outdoors, camping and collecting antiques. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annadee Traner. Survivors include two sons, Russell Traner of Roseburg, Ore., and Tim Wagner of Buffalo; two daughters, Christine Kelm of Olympia, Wash., and Carla Strain of Silverthorne, Colo.; three sisters, Josephine Fortin of Upton, Betty Woods of Gillette and Alberta Cox of Moorcroft; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorials may benefit Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Jennie Ellen Robison

Funeral services for Jennie Ellen Robison, 54, of Sheridan will be 3 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone Church with the Rev. Tony Forman officiating. Viewing will be 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Private burial will be in McAllister, Mont. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home. Miss Robison died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at her residence of natural causes. She was born Oct. 7, 1952, in Ennis, Mont., to Max and Katherine (Armstrong) Robison. She grew up on the family ranch in McAllister and was a 1971 graduate of Ennis High School. She received a teaching certificate from Montana State University-Bozeman and began her teaching career in a one-room school in Buffalo, S.D. She then taught in Jeffrey City before coming to Tongue River Elementary in Ranchester, where she taught for 26 years. Survivors include her parents of McAllister; a sister, Molly Aagard of McAllister; and four brothers, Raymond Lee of Poolesville, Md., Frank Lewis and Vernon Eugene, both of Ennis, and Max James of McAllister. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church, 4351 Big Horn Ave., Sheridan, WY 82801.

Hattie C. Gleason

Memorial services for former Sheridan resident Hattie C. Gleason, 78, of Gillette will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating. Viewing will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Committal of cremains will be later in Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Mrs. Gleason died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1928, in Crow Agency, Mont., to Edward and Elnora (Kelsey) Bixby. She grew up on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation as a member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe. She attended boarding school and was a 1944 graduate of high school in Busby, Mont. She married W.P. Bill Gleason on Sept. 19, 1945, in Hardin, Mont. They lived in Sheridan until 1957, when they moved to Gillette. They returned to Sheridan in 1972. Mrs. Gleason worked for Boyd's Supermarket in Gillette and Sheridan. Mr. Gleason died in 1999, and Mrs. Gleason returned to Gillette to be near family. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking, camping, fishing and being with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary; a great-grandson; three brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include a son, William Bud Gleason of Sheridan; a daughter, Sandra Reynolds of Gillette; a sister, Darlene Bowman of Auburn, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Gillette Hospice in care of Campbell County Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 3011, Gillette, WY 82717.

Pearl E. Eastvold

Funeral services for Pearl E. Eastvold, 88, of Sheridan will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mayville (N.D.) Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mayville cemetery. Local arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home, with North Dakota arrangements by Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Eastvold died Monday, March 5, 2007, at the home of her daughter here. She was born Feb. 8, 1919, in Mayville to Oscar and Tilla Strom. She grew up in Mayville and was a 1936 graduate of Mayville High School. She worked as a waitress, housekeeper and nanny for three years. She married Alvin K. Eastvold on Dec. 15, 1939, in the Mayville Lutheran Church. They farmed until Mr. Eastvold retired. They moved to Sheridan in 1997 to be nearer family. They spent time on their farm during summers for the next seven years. Mrs. Eastvold served on her church council, was president of the Ladies Aid, chairwoman of annual fall dinners, and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed the farm, baking, cooking and entertainment. She sewed, crocheted, embroidered and wrote children's stories. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Darryl; a brother, Oral Strom; and a sister, Roselyn Aronoff. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Otteson of Sheridan; a brother, Wallace Strom of Windsor, Colo.; two sisters, Hazel Potter of Marysville, Wash., and Ione Golden of Friendship, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Mayville Lutheran Church Legacy for Ministry, 24 Third Ave. SE, Mayville, ND 58257, or to Hospice of the Big Horns, 1401 W. Fifth St., Sheridan, WY 82801.

Jacob Ray Wolfe

Jacob Ray Wolfe, infant son of Billy and Amanda (Irwin) Wolfe of Sheridan, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, in Children's Hospital in Denver. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Eagles Lodge. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Jacob Ray Wolfe Memorial Fund to help with medical costs, in care of Sunlight Federal Credit Union, 303 S. Main St., Sheridan, WY 82801

Jennie Ellen Robison

Jennie Ellen Robison, 54, of Sheridan died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at her residence of natural causes. Viewing will be 1 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone Church. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Tony Forman officiating. Private burial will be in McAllister, Mont. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home. Mary Ann Twite

Mary Ann Twite, 49, of Sheridan died Friday, March 2, 2007, at her residence of natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and at her request, no services are scheduled. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home. Mrs. Twite was born May 11, 1957, in Odessa, Texas, to Miriam (Mayfield) and Burl Shumaker. She lived in Washington before moving to Sheridan. She married Pat J. Twite on Oct. 31, 1983, in Rawlins. She worked for two years at Albertson's as a cashier. She enjoyed collecting elephant figurines. She was preceded in death by a son, Andy. Survivors include her husband and two sisters, Irma Curl of Dryson, Wash., and Donna Bloomer of Forest Grove, Ore. Memorials in her name may be sent to 1050 Emerson St., Sheridan, WY 82801. John Ruzicka John Ruzicka, 84, of Sheridan died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. A Christian wake service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Mount Hope cemetery. Arrangements are with Kane Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Diocese of Cheyenne Permanent Diaconate Program, P.O. Box 1468, Cheyenne, WY 82003.

Alma Anna Steinfeld

Alma Anna Steinfeld, 84, of Sheridan died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Sheridan Manor. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and private services for her family will be later. Mrs. Steinfeld was born July 13, 1922, in Deloit, Neb., to Theresa Anna (Fraundorfer) and Henry Edward Arthur. She married Arthur Steinfeld on Feb. 4, 1946, in Kennebeck, S.D. He preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis, and four brothers, John, Raymond, Joseph and Edward. Survivors include a son, Douglas of Sheridan; two brothers, Eugene Arthur of Rapid City and Milford Arthur of Lodi, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred Zadel of Clifton, Colo., and Leona Best of Rapid City; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a recipient of the donor's choice.

Shirley Anna Hopkins Taylor

Former Sheridan-area resident Shirley Anna Hopkins Taylor, 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Billings following a stroke. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Sheridan, followed by a reception at The Powder Horn. Arrangements are with Bullis Mortuary in Hardin, Mont. Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 29, 1923, in Chicago to Farley and Margaret von Maur Hopkins. She grew up in Chicago and Lake Forest, Ill., and graduated from Ethel Walker's School in Connecticut. Her first trip to the West was as a guest at the HF Bar Ranch near Buffalo in the mid-1930s. She married Walter Jennings Taylor on April 15, 1944, in Lake Forest. They lived in Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., and moved to Kirby, Mont., in 1949 after Mr. Taylor purchased the Dick Glenn ranch. Mrs. Hopkins became involved in many activities around Sheridan and was among those who formed the Big Horn Equestrian Center (now the Big Horn Events Center). She was a member of the Memorial Hospital board in the early 1950s and the board of directors of Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation from 1997-2001. She bred Thoroughbred race horses, owning many Group 1 stakes winners. She was a part owner of Alleged, winner at the Curragh in 1976 and the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe in 1977 and 1978. She used her winnings from Alleged in a mare-breeding program. She was one of the few women members of the Jockey Club, beginning in 1989, and served as president of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association from 1984 to 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include four children, James of Billings, Susanna Meyer of St. Paul, Minn., Walter Watty Taylor Jr. of Kirby, and Margaret J. Taylor of Bozeman, Mont.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Memorials may be sent to Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, P.O. Alma Anna Steinfeld, 84, of Sheridan died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in Sheridan Manor. Cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time in keeping with her wishes. Cooley Butler

Memorial services for Cooley Butler, 46, of Sheridan will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda Worship Center, 1100 Big Horn Ave., with Pastor Scott Lee officiating. Arrange-ments are with Kane Funeral Home. Mr. Butler died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. He was born March 19, 1960, in Sheridan to Cooley and Connie (Lowe) Butler. He was a graduate of Tongue River High School. He lived in Sheridan most of his life. He married Kerrie Harnish in 1980. He enjoyed entertaining people with his music and supported other musicians in production of their works. He also enjoyed acting, appearing in performances of "Greater Tuna, " "Midnight" and "The Boys Next Door." He enjoyed soccer, mountain-biking, skiing, kayaking, golf and spending time at the family ranch near Parkman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a son, Cooley Allen O'Toole Butler; three sisters, Sharon Wolcott of Pasadena, Calif., Cean Weber of Sheridan, and Sarah Bowman of Parkman; a brother, Tom of Bingen, Wash.; and a granddaughter. Memorials may be made to the WYO Theater in care of Tara Keep, First Federal Bank, P.O. Box 6007, Sheridan, WY 82801.

David P. Ferrari

A Christian wake service for Dr. David P. Ferrari, 65, of Sheridan will be 7 p.m. today at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Ron Stolcis officiating. Dr. Ferrari died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Sheridan VA Medical Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Athol, Mass., to Antonio and Greta (Richards) Ferrari. He enlisted in the Navy in 1960 and served until 1964, when he was honorably discharged. He married Kathleen Mickinak on Jan. 4, 1969, in Latrobe, Pa. He attended Montana State University-Bozeman and graduated in 1973 from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He enjoyed fly-fishing and photography. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis. Survivors include his wife and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Diocese of Wyoming or the Deaconate Training Program in care of CITCO Federal Credit Union, attn: Angie Burton, P.O. Box 4067, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Evelyn Irene Malli

Evelyn Irene Malli, 88, of Arvada died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Mike Lovato officiating. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Friday and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial will be in Arvada cemetery with graveside services. Mrs. Malli was born April 20, 1918, to Charles A. Sage and Josephine Gossett Collins in a log cabin six miles east of Arvada on Wild Horse Creek. Mr. Collins died when Mrs. Malli was 12, and her mother later married Bob Tyler. Mrs. Malli attended country school near Wild Horse and high school in Arvada and Gillette. She married Gusti Malli on April 14, 1936, in Buffalo. They made their home on the family ranch in Arvada. Mr. Malli died in 1983. Mrs. Malli remained on the ranch until her death. She was a member of the Arvada Women's Club for many years. She enjoyed her flowers and cows, reading, and visits from her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Survivors include two sons, Riley and Buz, both of Arvada; two daughters, Norma Malli of Arvada and Donna Hakert of Buffalo; one sister, Zella Gibson of Montrose, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her two brothers and one great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Arvada Women's Club in care of Adams Funeral Home, 351 N. Adams, Buffalo, WY 82834.
