Carl McGee
Funeral Service for Carl McGee will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 26, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, 2004 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Carl McGee, age 82, a Campbell County native and long time resident passed away July 21, 2004 at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Carl was born July 15, 1922, on his parent's homestead, 19 miles north of Gillette, Wyoming. Carl was raised and educated on the homestead, attending the Calf Creek School. On July 27, 1942, Carl married Beth (Pacot). The couple lived on the McGee homestead, where they spent their lives farming and ranching. The couple divorced in 1961, and Carl continued to live on the McGee homestead.
Carl has resided in Louisiana since the death of his wife, Ola Birdsong McGee in 2000.
Carl always looked forward to the fall hunting seasons.
Carl is survived by his first wife, Beth McGee of Gillette, Wyoming; two sons: Allen and his wife Carol of Youngsville, Louisiana; Keith and his wife Maryann of San Dimas, California; five grandchildren: Craig McGee of St. Amant, Louisiana; Clinton McGee of Lafayette, Louisiana; Crystal McCoy of Ft. Benning, Georgia; James McGee of Chicago, Illinois; and Stephanie Johnson of Gillette, Wyoming; four great-grandsons; one sister, Wilma Carter of Gillette, Wyoming and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents: Grover and Grace McGee; one brother, Aaron McGee; and sisters: Minnie Mobley and Helen Harlow.
A memorial has been established in Carl's name to benefit the Alzheimer's Association of Acadiana, 128 Demanade Blvd., Building 4, Suite 109, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. Condolences may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716

Stanley Benson
Funeral services for Stanley Benson, age 67, of Gillette will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Larry Sessions presiding and Bishop Tony Klamm conducting. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery, at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 with Charles Vincent dedicating the grave. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette and Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell are entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Benson died on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette of natural causes.
Stanley Mortensen Benson was born September 14, 1937 in Cowley Wyoming the youngest son of Leonard A. and Laura (Mortensen) Benson. He was raised and educated in Lovell. Stan married Sharleen Bassett on November 18, 1957 in Lovell. This is where the couple made their home together and started their family. As a younger man Stan worked in road construction. He also owned his own truck and worked for various companies driving for them. In August of 1970 Stan moved his family to Colstrip, Montana. Here he worked as a foreman for Long Construction. Residing in Colstrip over a seven year period Stan and Sharleen grew their family by one while there. In 1977 the family returned to Lovell adding the last child to complete their family of eight. Stan delighted in his children and his wife he loved them dearly and that was reflected in the amount of time he spent with them. In 1988 Sharleen and Stan made their last move to Gillette. Stan worked as a heavy equipment operator. Though Stan's family never felt as if he retired he did refrain from employment in 1994.
Stan enjoyed cooking, the Big Horn Mountains: fishing and camping within them, restoring old cars, classic car shows and admiring them on the road as well. He will be remembered for his fun joking manner (that he passed on to his kids) ability to visit with everyone and his warm sincere heart.
Survivors include his wife of forty seven and a half years Sharleen; six children: Jan (Charles) Vincent of Colstrip, Montana, Joleen (Fred) Crosby of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Michael (Nicole) Benson of Gillette, Wyoming, Julie (Rick) Banks of Lovell, Wyoming, Malissa (Rick) Applegate of Fairbanks, Alaska and Mitchell Benson of Gillette, Wyoming; eighteen grandchildren; three sisters: Alma Jolley, Verna Walker, and Ruth Olsen all of Lovell, Wyoming.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Jean Gelok and three brothers: Albert Benson, Dell Benson and James Benson.

Robert Sanford Thiemke, Jr.
Funeral services for Robert Sanford Thiemke, Jr., age 31, will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Clay Alexander of the Wright Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Gillette-Mt. Pisgah cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. - 7 P.M. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette on Tuesday, July 1, 2003.
Robert died Friday, June 27, 2003 in Johnson County from injuries he received in a vehicle accident.
Robert was born September 20, 1971 in Rochester, NY, the son of Robert and Gail (Janzen) Thiemke. Robert attended schools in Lockport, NY, Green River & Rock Springs, Wyoming. Robert joined the Job Corp in Anaconda. Robert has resided in Gillette for the past several years, working as a welder and oilrig hand and currently for White Rhino.
In 1991, Robert married Kandy Graham. To this union they had two daughters: Kayla and Rebecca. They were later divorced. In 2001, Robert met Deanna Talbott whom he presently was engaged. Together they have a daughter, Karina.
Robert was well known for his art work and tattooing skills. Robert enjoyed bow hunting, fishing and playing video games.
Robert is survived by his fiancée Deanna Talbott; three daughters: Kayla, Rebecca, and Karina; his parents Robert and Gail Thiemke; one brother, Erik S. and Renee Thiemke; one sister, Vicki and Tom Cory and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Robert is preceded in death by one sister, Katrina Thiemke, and his grandfather, Cecil H. Janzen.
A memorial has been established to the Green River Boy Scout Troop #412 and donations may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th St. Gillette, Wyoming 821716.

Doyle "Bud" George Hayden
Doyle 'Bud' Hayden, age 80, a longtime Campbell County rancher, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Grand Junction, Colorado of natural causes. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette is entrusted with the arrangements.
Doyle George 'Bud' Hayden was born at the Austin Thomas place July 17, 1923, the son of Zaida L. (Rippey) and Glenn Hayden in Lawver, Wyoming. He attended the Hollander School, and graduated from the Campbell County High School in 1942. Upon graduation, he worked with his father driving a four horse Fresno building roads and dams. Starting in January of 1943, he worked for five years at the Keeline Ranch as a ranch hand. In the fall of 1948, Bud and his brother, Darrell, leased the T7 and Raitt Ranch and were in the sheep and cattle business. Bud had his first job lambing at age eleven and worked during lambing season every spring until he moved to Fortification in 1956.
Bud married Amie Floyd on June 17, 1954 at the Presbyterian Church in Gillette, Wyoming. They moved to the Fortification ranch west of Gillette in 1956 into the old Roy Montgomery ranch house where Bud and Amie still reside. They didn't have running water or electricity, but acquired a telephone in December of 1958. In 1966, Bud and Amie purchased part of the Fortification ranch from Dent and Oran Floyd. A rural school started at the ranch in 1961. Troy, Kerry and Lora were the only students most of the time and Amie taught them for three years. Later they attended the schools in Gillette. Electricity was run to the ranch in 1966 and the roads were graveled in 1967. The couple began taking in hunters in 1957, first for the need of extra income and still today for the old friendships which have lasted over thirty years. Elk, deer and antelope are all hunted on the ranch. In 1973, the couple purchased the rest of the ranch from Dent and Oran, who retired and moved to Gillette. In 1984, they bought a house in Gillette, but Bud was still active on the ranch with his sons and grandsons.
Bud was on the Advisory Board of the First Interstate Bank and also on the Board of Directors of the St. Onge's Livestock Auction, a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge, Wyoming Stockgrowers and the Farm Bureau. He attended the Presbyterian Church of Gillette. Bud enjoyed being on the ranch, visiting with neighbors, being with his family, and especially being around his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending many sporting events to watch his children and grandchildren participate in football, basketball, track and rodeo. He loved to watch the grandchildren at whatever they were doing.
Bud is survived by his wife, Amie Hayden of Gillette, Wyoming two sons: Troy (Peggy) Hayden of Rapid City, South Dakota; Kerry (Stephanie) Hayden of Gillette, Wyoming; one daughter, Lora (David) Winninger of Powell, Wyoming; six grandsons: Barry, Ryan, Eric, Burt, Mark, and Nate; and two granddaughters: Heidi and Lacy; three great grandsons: Hunter, Dylan, and Joe; one great granddaughter, Kaylee Rae; one brother, Bob Hayden of Gillette, Wyoming; three sisters: Neva Wilmot of Fort Collins, Colorado; Norma Duvall of Gillette, Wyoming; Nita Rae Christensen of Casper, Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Darrell and Donald Hayden.

Harold Wayne Davis
Harold Wayne Davis, age 73, died on Friday, June 13, 2003 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the Gillette Senior Center.
Harold Wayne Davis was born in Kellogg, Idaho, on August 15, 1929 to Sam and Grace (Arnold) Davis. He was raised and educated in Idaho and Washington. As a young man, he traveled the country from New York to California doing odd jobs and being a farm hand. While traveling the country, Hal hitchhiked to Lingle, Wyoming, where he met George Burgess. Hal went to work at the Burgess farm for a season and there he met his future bride, Jane Burgess. When Hal returned to Idaho, he and Jane corresponded for a time, he claimed his bride on May 17, 1958, in Torrington, Wyoming.
Hal and Jane resided in Idaho and Washington where Hal supported his family by working as a television repairman. While in Washington, Hal realized his dream of owning his own radio and T.V. repair shop. One of the benefits to this was sponsoring a racecar. Hal spent many happy hours working on the car and watching it race at the Spokane Speedway. An opportunity to work with his wife presented itself when he purchased a neighboring business, the Hillyard Variety, and he closed his repair shop. They enjoyed working together and ran a successful business.
Together, Hal and Jane raised four children. They enjoyed five grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren. Hal and Jane were avid fishermen. Hal also was an accomplished painter. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. The Campbell Country Senior Center was Hal's favorite place in his last years. Hal valued the companionship and love he was shown there.
Hal is survived by his sister and brothers in Spokane, Washington: Lorraine Woodman, Jack Davis, and Gene Davis; his children: Terry Davis of Chandler, Arizona, Lori Jones of Gillette, Wyoming, Jerry Davis of Gillette, Wyoming, and Barry Davis of San Marcos, Texas; his grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hal was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother, Howard Davis; and one sister, Beverly Prentice.
A memorial has been established to the Senior Housing Fund and memorials may be sent to the Senior Center, 701 Stocktrail Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming 82716. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Norm Conley
Norm Conley, a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, left this earth on November 17, 2005 after an unexpected illness took him from our lives at the very young age of 63.
Norm spent the last several years enjoying life in Wyoming and Michigan where he cherished the beauty of God's creation in the land and the wildlife. Norm was an avid fisherman and hunter. Those that he has left behind will forever have fond memories of days with Norm in the outdoors. Whether it was on a lake catching trout, the shore of a stream with a fishing rod in his hand, gazing out on a plain looking for that elusive big buck or helping out on somebody's ranch with any type of work to be done, Norm breathed the air outside with a passion.
Norm was born in New Lathrop, Michigan on March 13, 1942 to Genevieve and James Conley Jr. He graduated from Chesaning High School in 1960. In 1964 he married Jeannie. Their sons Jeff, Jim, John and Jason blessed their lives. He spent 28 years working for DOW Chemical in Midland, Michigan.
Later in life, Norm found his soul mate, Margie Rumminger. They married in 1998, settling in Gillette, Wyoming for seven years and then moved to their dream-home outside of Osage, Wyoming in the beauty of the Black Hills. There, Norm could watch wild turkeys, deer and elk from his deck and take his grandchildren through the rocks and trees to find caves and build 'forts'.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Lavern, Phil, Bernard Conley).
He is survived by his wife Margie Conley of Osage, WY; sons Jeff (Kerreen) of Belleville, MI; Jim (Jody) of Beaverton, MI; John (Judy) of Clinton, MI; and Jason of Midland, MI; 7 grandsons: Austin Conley, Eli and Alex Sutherland, Chad, Devin and Kyle Aldridge, and Ben Rumminger; Ray (Marge) Conley of Chesaning, MI; Harold (Jean) Conley of Saginaw MI; Marion (Jim) Birchmeir of Beaverton, MI; Iolene Rathbun of Eagle River, AK; Eleanor (Vince) Birchmeir of Chesaning, MI; Carolyn (Dean) Fulton of Chesaning, MI; Loretta (John) Locke of Brand, MI; and Ruth Conley of Brand, MI. Margie's children, Dave (Sherri), Gina (Jef), Sandy (Jeff) and Kevin loved Norm very much and their children knew him from a very early age as Pappa Norm. Norm's seven grandsons will be raised knowing Pappa Norm as a warm and kind man who would do any thing to help others.
We will miss you Norm.

Josephine Armstrong
Funeral Services for Josephine Armstrong of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2003 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Father Kadera of the St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette.
Josephine Armstrong entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming after a long bout with cancer.
She was born March 20, 1927, in Ophir, Colorado to Guiseppe 'Joseph' Pintarelli and Christina Lell-Pintarelli. The family later moved to Denver, Colorado where Josephine graduated from high school.
On February 3, 1952 she and Jack R. Armstrong were married in Raton, New Mexico. Josephine and Jack lived in several different towns on the West Coast before making Hoquiam Washington their home. In September of 2002 she moved to Gillette to live with her daughter Theresa Stout.
Josephine worked in retail all of her life. As a young adult she worked in Denver, Colorado for the largest Woolworth's Department store in the world. She then worked for several different Safeway Stores on the West Coast. After moving to Hoquiam she retired from Swanson's Grocery Store after sixteen years of service. Her coworkers and customers fondly knew her as 'Sweet Loveable Jo.'
After retirement from Swanson's Josephine was very involved with the Hoquiam Food and Clothing Bank. She was a member of the Hoquiam Eagles Auxiliary, the Grandmothers Club and the Senior Center. She was a long-standing member of Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church.
The joy of her life was her three children and four grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her spouse of 47 years to Europe, Hawaii, and the Midwest.
Josephine is survived by her son Rodney and his wife and sons of Ellington, Connecticut; her daughter, Theresa, and her son and daughter of Gillette, Wyoming; her brother John Lell and her sister Rose, both of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack, and one son Richard. Josephine will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband and son.
In Lieu of flowers, the Armstrong family has established a memorial to benefit the Heptner Oncology Center, Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital or a charity of one's choice.

Agnes (Kills Night) Littlehead
Agnes (Kills Night) Littlehead 'Setovoh'ohmehe'e'
Agnes went home and made her journey across in the early morning hours Tuesday, December 8, 2009, she was born on May 22, 1935 to Charles Kills Night and Rosa Black Medicine. She is a direct descendant of Chief Little Wolf, Black Medicine & Kills Night. Her father, Charles Kills Night, being a Cheyenne Chief raised her with the beliefs and values of the Chiefs way of life. In her youth Agnes enjoyed riding horseback with many relatives and friends at Green Leaf. She also enjoyed gourd dancing, benefit dances, pow-wow's, playing cards, quilting, beading, making dry meat and berry picking. Despite many hardships, she was always steadfast in her faith and lived a life of prayer.
Agnes married Leo White Wolf, they had one child. She then married Otto C. Brady, Sr. in 1956 in a traditional Cheyenne wedding, they had eight children. After the death of her husband Otto she continued to raise their children alone. She was then blessed with her youngest child Theresa Lynn. She later married George Littlehead. Agnes enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children and grandchildren. She always took an active role in her grandchildren's lives, especially in their early childhood. She was proud of her children in all of their endeavors, especially her sons' work to protect and preserve sacred sites and maintaining our traditional way of life. She helped to instill these values and beliefs in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very proud of her grandchildren in their accomplishments in Academics and Athletics, always encouraging them to continue their education.
She enjoyed the benefit of being a Chiefs child. This allowed her to become very knowledgeable in the customs and lifestyles of each way of life. She always supported her family in any of the traditional Cheyenne ceremonies that they participated in. She enjoyed preparing for, cooking and singing at Sundances, Victory Dances & Pow-wows. She was a member of the Native American Church; she always held an annual prayer meeting on Mother's Day. She also belonged to the Catholic Church. Agnes was a woman of faith and prayer, always reminding us that she prayed for all of us every day. She has been member of the Chief Little Wolf Pow-wow Committee and Northern Cheyenne Elderly Commission for many years.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Rosa. Sons: Luke Brady & Joseph C. Brady. One great-grandchild, Serena J. Killsnight. Sisters: Lucy Red Hat, Margaret Killsnight, Mary Lonewolf, adopted sister Victoria Walksalong, Brothers: James Lonewolf, Hubert Killsnight, and adopted brother Wayne Smells.
Survivors include: Loretha & Ed Grinsell, Eva Bearchum, Irene Bearquiver, Mary Ann Duran, Agnes Limpy, Effie Fighting Bear-Beartrack, Margie Russell and Molly MedicineElk. Children: Merrill Killsnight, Sr., Steve and Linda Brady, Sr., Otto & Barbara Braided Hair, Martin & Jonni Braided Hair, Lavonda Brady, Elizabeth Braided Hair & Danny Carlson, Theresa Lee & Vernon Small, Theresa Lynn Risingsun. Special Nieces: Huberta & Maurice Little, Laveta Oldbear, Phyllis Talawyma. Special Nephews: Eugene & Pat Limpy, Emanuel Killsnight. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by the Kills Night, Elkshoulder, Fighting Bear, Limpy, Long Jaw, Little Wolf, Bearcomesout, Gray, Nightwalker, Lime, Littleoldman, Bullcoming, Heap of Birds, Red Hat, Medicine Top, Sooktis and Medicine Bull families.
Adopted Relatives: Roger & Linda Cummins (Assiniboine Sioux), Wilmer & Lisa Mesteth (Oglala Sioux), Lajuana Antelope, Wilber Antelope (Northern Arapahoe), Rosella Pongah & Hilda Moss, Eloise Whitewolf, Hubert Blackwolf, Brian Brady, Regina Littleshield, Picard Wadda, Willie High Bull. Special Friends: Marietha Charette, Louise Fisher, Carol Redcherries, Martha Wolfname, Lenora Wolfname, Deacon Joe Kristufek. She is also survived by her namesake Melissa McCloud. We apologize if we forgot to mention any of her family and adopted relatives.

Steven DeLauter
Funeral services for Steven James DeLauter of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gordon Harper of Vineyard Christian Fellowship, and Pastor Doug Rumsey of Antelope Valley Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming.
Steven James DeLauter was born May 6, 1948 in Duluth, Minnesota, to David & Gloria (Langlee) DeLauter. Steve began his education attending elementary school through out Minnesota. In 1961 Steve and his family moved to Casper. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1966 and attended Casper College for a couple of years. He worked for Teton Homes until 1973. He began his sales career working for Union Supply. This job brought him to Gillette in 1979. On September 12, 1981, Steve married Debbie Sparks in Casper, Wyoming. At the time of his death he was employed with Motion Industries. Steve was proud to have served his same customers for over twenty-five years although working for different companies including Gillette Winnelson and Applied Industrial. His hobbies included golf and SPORTS. Steve was noted for having three holes in one during his short life time. He was also a great teacher, teaching his daughter Lindsey the love of golf. One of his proudest moments was when she was the state High School Golf Champion in 2000. Steve was an encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to all sorts of sports statistics. Steve was an eighteen year member of Club Energize.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, daughter Lindsey, both of Gillette; his parents of Fort Collins, Colorado; three brothers: Dave DeLauter and his friend Stella, Mark (Cathy) DeLauter, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Jeffrey (Beckie) DeLauter, of Dacono, Colorado; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
