Curtis Means
Funeral services for Curtis Means, age 47, of Gillette, Wyoming will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dan Morgan of the High Plains Community Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, September 24, 2004 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2004, at the Lakeview cemetery in Cheyenne, Wyoming with Pastor Dick Young of the Cheyenne Hill Church officiating.
Curtis Means went to be with the Lord September 21, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming.
Curtis Eugene Means was born October 8, 1956, the son of Sydney “Jack” and Barbara (St. Clair) Means in Eureka, California. He was raised and educated in Quincy, California, graduating from Quincy High School in 1974. In 1978, Curtis graduated from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. Upon graduating, Curtis took his first mining engineering position at Trapper Mine in Craig, Colorado in 1988. He obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado. In 1989, he moved to Wyoming, where he worked for fifteen years in various positions and mines, establishing his reputation as a dragline expert. Recently he consulted for several mines in Australia. Cutis worked for twenty-six years as a mining engineer and made many innovations to the mining industry.
Curtis was devoted to Christ, his daughter, Katelyn, and his family. He was always remembered as a living witness. He was a member of the High Plains Community Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was also active member in Community service.
Curtis is survived by his parents, Sydney “Jack” and Barbara Means of Springfield, Oregon; his daughter, Katelyn Means of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one sister, Marlee (John) Daniels of Wapola, Wisconsin; two brothers: Doug (Marita) Means of Cannon City, Colorado; Michael (Claudia) Means of Winnemucca, Nevada; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one brother, Monte Means; one uncle and one cousin.
A memorial has been established in Curtis’s name to the High Plains Community Church.

KimLe Holloway
Graveside Services for KimLe Holloway will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2004 at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
KimLe, age 40, died November 15, 2004 at her home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
KimLe Holloway was born July 4, 1964. KimLe graduated from high school in Denver, Colorado. Due to a disability KimLe was unable to work. However friends and family say she was a very talented artist. She enjoyed making homemade clocks, jewelry boxes and leather crafts. She also liked to color fuzzy posters and watch an assortment of movies.
KimLe is survived by her father Lewis Holloway of Orange, California; two brothers, Kirk Holloway of Denver, Colorado; and Eric Holloway of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her mother.

Hiram Burbank
Private family services will be held for Hiram Burbank age 59, of Gillette who died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of renal failure.
Hiram Burbank Jr. was born the son of Hiram Sr. and Geraldine (Sebright) Burbank on May 16, 1946 in Battle Creek Michigan. He was raised and educated in Battle Creek. On October 5, 1974, Hiram married Anne Obenour. In 1975, the couple made their home in Gillette. Hiram worked at Wyodak for twenty two years before going to work for KG Construction. He worked there until his health would no longer allow.
Hiram enjoyed watching football, especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys, playing golf, fishing and playing his Game Boy.
Hiram is survived by his wife of thirty one years of Gillette; one daughter Dawn Kepler of Charlotte, Michigan; three sons: Craig Burbank of Missouri, Jason Burbank and Ryan Burbank both of Gillette; 2 grandchildren; one sister, Elanor Amos of Pensacola Florida; four brothers: Tom Burbank of Pensacola, Florida, Martin Burbank and Donald Burbank both of Battle Creek, Michigan and Arthur Burbank of Lake Okachobee, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Fred.

Sophie Danilewicz Tholson
Graveside service for Sophie Tholson of Northfield, Massachusetts will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2005 at Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church officiating.
Sophie Danilewicz Tholson, age 90, died Saturday morning, December 17, 2005 at Charlene Manor Nursing Home in Greenfield, Mass. of natural causes. Services were held at Kidder Funeral Home in Northfield, MA on December 20, 2005.

Mrs. Tholson was born in June of 1915 to Victor and Gladys Danilewicz in the town of Keene, New Hampshire, and raised in Greenfield. She met Calvin Tholson while serving in the United States Military in the city of Manila, in the Philippine Islands. They were married on July 23, 1955 in Bakersfield, California. During her time with the government she lived in England, the Philippines, Germany and Australia. Mrs. Tholson retired to live in Northfield, Mass. close to Greenfield. She and her husband celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary during this past summer.
Mrs. Tholson loved to cook and read classic literature. Because she traveled for a living, she always carried a homemade cookbook in her hand luggage. She has only recently come into possession of a television, of which she previously thought was unnecessary. A traditional person at heart, she would never use a microwave. Her hobbies also included gardening with her husband and bird watching.
“Sophie was a very formidable but loving person,” says her sister-in-law, JoAnn Tholson.
Mrs. Tholson is survived by her husband, Calvin, her brother and sister in-law, John and JoAnn Tholson of Rozet Wyoming, her three nieces, two nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her two older sisters, her older brother and a niece.

Gladys Kistler
Upon her request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
Gladys Kistler, age 81, of Gillette, Wyoming died October 10, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette of natural causes.

Gladys Elizabeth Kistler was born November 5, 1922, the daughter of Russel and Leah (Fischer) Bell in Watertown, South Dakota. Being raised and educated in South Dakota, Gladys attended schools in the Mitchell, South Dakota area. Upon her schooling, she worked on the family farm. On January 11, 1940, Gladys married Dale H. Kistler in Mitchell, South Dakota, where they resided for several years. The couple moved to Idaho for ranching and back to Mitchell. In 1959,Gladys and Dale then moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where Dale was employed in the oil fields in the winter and the couple trained quarter horses in the summer to race on the track.
Gladys enjoyed gardening, crossword and jig saw puzzles, and embroidery. She also enjoyed watching the deer that came to visit. Gladys looked forward to picking up William to watch him after school from the bus stop. They became good friends. Gladys loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and traveling to Oklahoma to see them. She loved cooking and her family says she is a “good cook.” In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, canning and making homemade bread.
She is survived by three sons: David (Caroline) Kistler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dan (Lisa) Kistler of Billings, Montana; Rich Kistler of Gillette, Wyoming; her daughter, Diana Parker of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Dick Bell of Gillette, Wyoming; three sisters: Goldie Kistler of Sheridan, Wyoming; Violet Ferreria of San Diego, California; Tiney Lutz of Dickson, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Kistler on June 20, 2001; one son, Richard “Dickie” Kistler in June of 2004; two brothers: James and Eddie Bell; and one sister, Jeanette Gustafson.
A memorial has been established in Gladys’ name to benefit Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital of Gillette. Condolences and/or donations may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716.

Glen Boden
Glen Harold Boden, beloved husband of Janette Boden, and father of Vicki Jan Wood and Kathleen Boden Jones passed away at his home in Gillette Friday morning. Services will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Stevenson-Wilson Chapel.
Glen Harold Boden was born February 16, 1922 to Lela Slaybaugh and Virgil Boden in Creston, Iowa. His family moved to the Gillette area in 1928. Homesteading in the north part of Campbell County.
He attended grade school in Gillette and was a 1941 graduate of Campbell County High School where his love for football began as a halfback. He enlisted in the army on October 19, 1942 and served until January 6, 1946 in the European Theater in World War II. He served in the 942 Engineer Aviation Topographical Battalion. He received the American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and a Meritorious Service Unit Plaque CO 197, HQ 9th AF 45. Glen was a member of the Masonic Lodge #44 Choteau, Montana and the American Legion.
After the service he worked for Shell Oil managing a man camp for a seismograph crew. He married Janette Geschwender in Miles City, Montana June 28, 1952. They moved to Choteau, Montana where he owned a radio and TV repair service. Later they moved to Boulder, Colorado where he owned a restaurant. He and his family moved to Gillette in 1968 where he was a Master Electrician until his retirement in 1980. Glen enjoyed traveling, was an avid fisherman and hunter. He especially enjoyed the fall hunting trips to the Tetons with his buddies. His grandchildren were very important to him and he did whatever he could for them. Many of his winters he spent in Arizona with his wife Janette.
Mr. Boden is survived by his wife Janette Boden of Gillette, two daughters; Vicki Wood of Gillette and Kathleen Jones of Kirby, Montana; grandchildren Dustin Wood, Tiffany Wood of Gillette, and Danielle Jones; siblings Wayne Boden of Eugene, Oregon, Toddy McCann and Betty Johnson of Gillette.

Opal Barbe
Graveside services for Opal (Keck) Barbe, age 76, of Casper, Wyoming will be held Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the Recluse cemetery. Opal’s family and friends will be gathering at 11:00 a.m. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming and processing to the Recluse cemetery.
Opal Barbe died on Monday, February 14, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family in Casper, Wyoming.
Opal Barbe was born on February 3, 1929 the daughter of John Keck and Louisa (Maddox) Keck in Gillette, Wyoming, she was the youngest of 14 children. In 1947 she graduated from Campbell County High School. Later that year Opal married Ken Barbe on November 9, 1947 in Gillette. She was a dedicated homemaker, who by her count had prepared more than 65,000 dinners. Opal worked at Sweet Briar clothing shop for several years where she helped others dress in style. She loved her children, her home and her beloved husband. Opal enjoyed spending time at their Arrowhead Ranch north of Powder River.
Opal is survived by her husband Ken of Casper, Wyoming; daughters, Starla (Larry) Smith of Denver, Colorado; Jamie Barbe of Casper, Wyoming; son, Kenny (Judy) of Casper, Wyoming; grandson, Shawn (Cathie) Barbe of Denver, Colorado; granddaughter, Ashley (Matt) Smith and their two children Coulter and Mackenzie of Denver, Colorado; sister, Dona Smith of Weston, Wyoming; brother Clete Keck of Gillette, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clayton, Claude and Conley; Sisters Zelma, Reba, Emily, Darlene, Retha and two infant sisters.

Donna Maxwell
Funeral Services for Donna Mae Maxwell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2006, at Stevenson Funeral Home. Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church will officiate. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 4-7 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Burial of Ashes will take place at a later date at Black Hills National cemetery, Sturgis, SD.
Donna went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2006 after a short battle with cancer. She passed with close family by her side. She was born on October 14, 1949 to Daniel and Margaret Senn in Dickenson, ND. Her family lived there for a few more years until they moved to Sidney, MT where Donna attended Catholic School through the 8th grade and then attended local public schools. Donna worked at several local stores and was liked by everyone she knew. She was outgoing and worked very hard. Donna met Monty Maxwell in Sidney and they were married on June 3, 1978. They adopted their daughter April in June of 1981 and moved to Gillette in 1984 where they spent the remainder of their years together. Donna worked at Lula Bells and then at Campbell County Memorial Hospital until 1997 when she started selling Avon. In 1999, she and Monty adopted another daughter and spent most of their time with them.
Donna always kept a smile on her face, even when faced with difficult times. She opened her home and her heart to everyone she met. She always put other’s needs before her own. Donna was known by all and never forgot a name. She lived for her daughters and her family. She loved children and they loved her right back. Donna loved playing bingo, card games, spending time with loved ones and selling Avon.
Donna is survived by her two daughters, April ( Travis) Glick and Deserae Senn Maxwell, both of Gillette. Two sisters, Linda Byer of Sidney, MT and Paulette Waller of Big Piney, two brothers, Harvey Senn of Sidney and Dale Senn of Apple Valley, CA, her mother Margaret Senn of Sidney, MT, two grandchildren Marcus Glick and Dillon Glick of Gillette, 23 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Monty Maxwell, her father Daniel Senn, a brother, Gary Senn, a sister, Charlene Senn, father and mother-in-law Art and Dorothy Maxwell. Russell Lloyd West
Funeral services for Russell Lloyd West of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Russell Bode of Central Baptist Church officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Pisgah cemetery, in Gillette, Wyoming.
Russell Lloyd West, age 51, died Thursday, July 21, 2005 at his home.
Russell was born September 18, 1953 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Lillian (Klein) and Wilbur West. He married Lillian Herried on March 11, 1981 in Sturgis, South Dakota. Russell had worked at Jim’s Water Service for many years until the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, being with friends, playing yatzee and card games.
He is survived by his wife Lillian; one daughter: Julie West of Gillette, Wyoming; four brothers: Mike West of Deadwood, South Dakota; Robert (Bob) West, of Hereford, Arizona; John (Bud) West, of Albia, Iowa; and William (Bill) West, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota: five sisters: Anita (Robert) Lewis of Hereford, Arizona; Ida West, of Spearfish, South Dakota; Carla West, of Spearfish, South Dakota; Marla West, of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Kathy (Virgil) Kock of Custer, South Dakota: numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Patrick West, and Darrel West; one sister: Mary West; two nephews: James West, and Donald (Donnie) West; and mother in law, Josephine Williams.

Deborah Ostby Vincent
Funeral services for Deborah Ostby Vincent, age 51, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the New Life Wesleyan Church in Gillette with Pastor Martin Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Hulett cemetery in Hulett, WY. Visitation will be Monday November 29, 2004 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Vincent died on Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper of heart complications.
Deborah Fay Ostby was born on May 13, 1953 in Deadwood, S.D. the daughter of Soren and Arvilla (Brovald) Ostby. She was raised and educated in Hulett, WY. Upon her schooling she married Terry Miller in Hulett on July 17, 1971. From this union she had two children: Tammy and Stacy. The couple made their family home in Gillette. Deb devoted her time to her children by staying home with them until the youngest was through school. In the mid 1990’s Deb began to work with her sister doing commercial cleaning. In 2000, Deb became employed with the county, cleaning and maintaining at the cam-plex and currently at the courthouse. She married Kip Vincent on August 26, 2001 in Gillette.
Deb enjoyed collecting Angels, spending time with her husband golfing, going to Deadwood and traveling. The couple was looking forward to a trip to Mexico in January. Deb will be missed by the community, her many friends that meant so much to her and her family.
She was survived by: her parents of Spearfish S.D. her husband Kip of Gillette; one daughter, Tammy Pouge of Lander,WY; four grandchildren: Tyson, Samantha, Tristen and Dalton; Five sisters: Janis (Doug) Mallory, of Lead, S.D., Sandy (Claude) Rauch of Gillette, WY, Gayleen (Ron) Raber of Belle Fourche, S.D., Jolleen (Larry) Knapp of Firestone, CO and Dela (Ted) Bears of Hulett, WY; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and several nieces and nephews.
Deb was preceded in death by her grandparents and her daughter Stacy in 1998.
