Marlene A. Nealeigh
Funeral services for Marlene A. Nealeigh of Buffalo, Wyoming will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Marvin Massey, minister of the Church of Christ Sundance, Wyoming. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, April 28, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. Burial will be in the Willow Grove cemetery, Buffalo, Wyoming.
Marlene Ann Nealeigh, age 71, of Buffalo, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at her home of cancer.
Marlene Ann was born November 15, 1934 the daughter of Harry and Vadna (Cohrs) Buhler in Trenton, Nebraska. She was raised and educated in Trenton, Nebraska graduating in May of 1952. Upon her schooling Marlene married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Nealeigh on June 7, 1953 in Trenton. The couple made their home in Denver, Colorado. Marlene’s primary focus was raising her kids and caring for her family. When the kids grew older Marlene would work occasionally as a bank teller. In 1977 Marlene moved with her family to Gillette, Wyoming. Here Ken served as the minister at the Church of Christ and Marlene was Ken’s partner in their ministry. Due to the nature of Ken’s work the couple lived in different areas of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and South Dakota. The past 10 years Marlene has spent training others for ministry through their work with Bear Valley Bible Institute. In 2004 the couple made their home in Buffalo, Wyoming. Marlene enjoyed making greeting cards for her friends and family never forgetting birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special occasions. Marlene loved to camp and hike with her family. She was best known for her cooking and her incredible hospitality.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Ken of Buffalo, Wyoming; son, Rod (Linda) Nealeigh of Curitiba, Brasil; daughter, Candi (Glenn) Staudinger of Gillette, Wyoming; mother, Vadna Buhler of Trenton, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father Harry.
Memorials may be sent in Marlene’s name to Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice of Buffalo. Condolences may be sent to Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming.

Ralph Kisgen
Funeral services for Ralph Kisgen, age 63, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held 10:00A.M, Monday, May 16, 2005 at the Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette with Pastor Chad Brucklacher of the Prince of Peace Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette.
Mr. Kisgen died Friday, May 13, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Ralph James Kisgen was born February 11, 1942 the son of John & Veronica (Schneider) Kisgen in Chokio, Minnesota. He was raised & educated there. Ralph was a baptized & confirmed member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Upon finishing his schooling Ralph went to work at various jobs through out Minnesota. Ralph married and had 5 children, the couple later divorced. During the 1970’s Ralph owned & operated Ralph’s Crane Service in Morris, Minnesota. In 1982 he came to Gillette where he began working for the Campbell County Road and Bridge Department, as a heavy equipment operator. He retired after 20 years of service in 2002. On December 5, 1992 Ralph married Betty Trigg in Gillette, Wyoming where the couple has resided since.
Ralph will be remembered most for knowing how to have a good time. As a young man Ralph raced cars & snowmobiles, he loved the speed of the race. He enjoyed spending time with his dog (Ofta), darts, fishing, camping, bowling and when he was younger, hunting. Most of all Ralph loved playing horse shoes and spent many hours of his summers practicing and competing. Ralph was a jack of all trades & master of all. Trades included were: carpentry, welding, restoring old cars and yard work.
Ralph is survivors by his wife, Betty of Gillette; four sons: Mark Kisgen of Powell, WY, Mike Kisgen (Deb) of Gillette, WY, James Kisgen (Donna) of Freeburg, IL, B.J. Kisgen of St. Charles, MO., one daughter, Peggy Burckhard of Devils Lake, ND; one brother, Marvin Kisgen of Alberta, MN; two sisters: Joyce Snell of Chokio, MN and Mary Jo Brown of Hancock, MN; three stepchildren: Emily Hicks of Gillette, Christopher Hicks of Thomaston, CT, Aaron Hicks of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lois Kisgen and his brother Jerry Kisgen.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or the Gillette Moose Lodge. Donations or condolences can be sent in care of the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th St. Gillette, Wyoming 82718

Joan C. "Sherry" Appel
Joan C. “Sherry” Appel, 57, of Gillette was born to eternal life on Sunday, August 7, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born December 15, 1947 in Trenton, New Jersey to COL Donald L. Fischer, and Marie Fischer, as the only daughter of an Air Force Officer, Sherry continuously relocated around the country with her parents, and three younger brothers, Donald L. Fischer Jr., Alan Fischer of Colorado, and Harold Fischer of Gillette. She eventually settled in Gillette, where she raised her three children. She was employed for eighteen years as an equipment operator for Jacobs Ranch Coal Mine. During that time she met, and married her true companion William E. “Bill” Appel of Gillette. At the time of her illness she was employed with Davis Chevrolet. For the past several years Sherry spent her time with friends and family at her home just outside the city limits of Gillette. She was an avid sports fan with a true passion for the Wyoming cowboys and Denver Bronco’s.
A special “Thanks” to all of her friends for their care and support. The staff at the Oncology Center of Campbell County Memorial Hospital, and Hospice Care Staff.
She is survived by her husband; William E. “Bill” Appel: her mother; Marie Fischer: father in law; William J. Appel: three children: Cheryl Brannan, Scott Siller, and Amy Siller: three step daughters: Angie Kennedy, Melanie Sylte, of Gillette, and Tiffany Cholez of Colorado; three brothers; Donald Fischer, Harold Fischer, and Alan Fischer. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and “Darby”.
She is preceeded in death by her father, COL Donald L. Fischer.

Malcolm VanKirk
Funeral services for Malcolm J. VanKirk of Gillette, Wyoming will be held in Damascus, Virginia on Saturday, January 14, 2006 with Pastor Will Robinson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Laurel Valley cemetery in Konnarock, Virginia. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming and Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus, Virginia have been entrusted with arrangements.
Malcolm J. VanKirk, age 84, formerly of Konnarock, Virginia and Beltsville, Maryland passed away at his home in Gillette, Wyoming on January 9, 2006 of natural causes.
Malcolm was born on August 24, 1921 in Washington, DC, the son of Lloyd H. and Jessie Mae (Shultz).VanKirk He lived in the Washington, DC and southwestern Virginia area until moving to Gillette, Wyoming in 2004.
Malcolm is survived by two sons: Stephen K. and Malcolm R. Sr. both of Mt. Airy, Maryland, daughter; Carol Mallory of Gillette, Wyoming, six grandchildren, two great granddaughters and soon to be blessed with a great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Milllie of 61 years, son, James K., his parents, one sister and two brothers.

David Armstrong
Funeral services for David Armstrong, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 27, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.
Dave passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
David Tait Armstrong was born on July 6, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Frances (Tait) Armstrong. As a teenager he joined the Civilian Conservation Corp and traveled throughout the United States doing conservation work. In 1942 he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp, where he was a radio operator and a ball turret gunner. Dave was stationed at many United States bases. While in Grand Island, Nebraska, he married Jeanette L. Lehman on November 4, 1944. He had orders to serve over seas when the early arrival of his twins came. The couple had four children. Dave started working for Continental Oil Company in 1945, as a pumper, in Lance Creek, Wyoming transferring to Gillette, Wyoming in 1960 as a maintenance foreman where he completed 38 years of employment. His whole life included playing mandolin and other string instruments with family and friends. Many people also have enjoyed his wood working creations from his scroll saw. His love for family and their get-togethers were some of his greatest joys.
Dave is survived by his wife, Jane of 61 years, his four children: twins, Donna Heald of Gillette, Wyoming, David Jr. Armstrong of Denver, Colorado; Denise Shuster and Debra Armstrong both of Gillette, Wyoming: 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Marty Armstrong of Texas; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and son-in-law Chuck Heald.

David Barnett
Funeral services for David Barnett, known to his family and friends as “Buster,” will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Steve Carnahan of the United Pentecostal Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 42. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Buster, age 78, died Thursday, October 28 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of heart complications.
David Penile Barnett was born February 18, 1926, the son of Lee and Ola (Parham) Barnett in Hatfield, Arkansas. Buster was raised and educated in Hatfield. On April 5, 1944, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on February 3, 1949. On February 25, 1950 Buster married Edna Abbott in Waldron, Arkansas. The couple made there home in Mena, Arkansas until 1960 when they moved to Sterling Colorado. In Sterling, he began his career in the oilfield. In 1963, Buster and his family moved to Gillette. Here, Buster worked in the oilfields as a driller. In 1973, Buster was forced to retire due to an accident that cost him his left arm. From that time on, he became a source of support for his family in many ways from becoming a caretaker for his family when they were in bad health to making sure his grandchildren got to school on time.
Buster spent a lot of time fishing; his favorite pastime along with loving his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed fox hunting and metal detecting.
Buster is survived by his wife, Edna of Gillette, Wyoming; one daughter, Darlene (Rick) Warner; two grandsons: David (Kate) and Shane Warner; one granddaughter, Penny Warner; one great granddaughter, Maddison Warner all of Gillette, Wyoming; four sisters: Mary Jo Rodgers of Texarkana, Texas; Irma Shaw of Tyler, Texas; Linda Lance of Mena, Arkansas; Anita Belt of Texarkana, Texas; and one brother, Wayne Barnett of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.

Louis Stephenson
Funeral service for Gillette, Wyoming resident Louis A. Stephenson, will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home
Louis Stephenson, age 86, of Gillette, Wyoming, died September 11, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Louis A. Stephenson was born August 28, 1918, the son of Louis and Grace (Shane) Stephenson in Alhambra, California. Louis moved to Wyoming in 1925 with his parents and siblings. Louis attended school in Weston, WY at the Elk Creek Schools north of Gillette. Louis enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941, serving during WWII. He married Dorothy Darlene Bracelin on April 4, 1942, in Salem, OR. Seven children were born of this union. Louis worked as a rancher in his early years and was a mechanic until he retired.
His family was the biggest joy of his life. He also loved playing cards with his sister, Vera, niece, Dene Looby and her husband Jack. He enjoyed going to coffee at local restaurants to visit with friends and family. He also enjoyed training horses.
Louis is survived by his daughters, Marsha Hockett of Gillette, Wyoming; Grace Masteller of Rozet, Wyoming, Sonya Dorr of Gillette, Wyoming, Kim Redinger of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sons Louis L. Stephenson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and John Shane Stephenson of Juneau, Alaska; and a sister Vera Brown of Recluse, Wyoming, eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, daughter Sheila, four granddaughters Hayley Hockett- Rossi, Raydene Thomas, Candace Thomas, Amber Stephenson, brother Hervey Stephenson, and sister Dallas Pack.

Charley Ed Howe
Funeral services for Charley Ed Howe, age 87, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 27, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
Charley passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 26, 2006 at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyoming.
Charley was born on News Years Day, 1919 in Beatty, Kansas to Henry J. and Mary I. (Lonberg) Howe. He attended Grenada County School in Colorado. Charley helped his dad on their farm in Colorado. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1941 and served throughout Northern France and Germany in WWII as a truck driver. After the war he returned to Gillette, Wyoming to continue farming. He then worked at the Co-Op until his retirement. Charley married Rose Corson in January 19, 1967 Charley was a wonderful caregiver helping Rose care for her eleven children. He enjoyed driving cars and trucks and riding his motorcycle.
Charley is survived by his wife; Rose of Gillette, Wyoming, his children: Steve (Sue) Howe of Naples, Utah and Leann (Jim)Allen of Vernal, Utah, step children: Don(Dorothy) Corson of Gillette, Wyoming, Jean (Kent) Behrent of Sterling, Colorado, Ruth Corson of Torrington, Wyoming, Pam (Allen) Baughman of Gillette, Wyoming, Edna (Earl) Winter of Alliance, Nebraska, Amelia Rose Corson of Wheatland, Wyoming, Andy Corson of California, and Rebecca Lynn (Ron) Vandow of Gillette, Wyoming, 49 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and many great great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his step children: Besie, Ramos, Martha Louise Gallegos and Marcine Audrey Lamere.

Earl P. "Tuffy" Argue
Funeral service for Earl P. Argue, known to his family and friends as “Tuffy” Argue will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at the Cam-Plex Heritage Center in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Dan Morgan of the High Plains Community Church of Gillette officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post # 42. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Tuffy Argue, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming, died June 22, 2004, at his home of natural causes.
Earl P. Argue was born August 3, 1919, the son of Christopher and Cora (Pfouts) Argue in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania and was raised and educated in Cyclone, Pennsylvania. Tuffy came from a family of seven sisters and two brothers. He was the last living member of his family. He moved to Wyoming in 1952 and he married Catherine Vigil on May 3, 1954 in Sheridan, Wyoming. They had just celebrated fifty years together. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corporation from October 25, 1937 to December 15, 1938, where he cemented irrigation ditches which are still in use today. Tuffy enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 24, 1942 where he served with the Mounted Police at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He also went overseas in March of 1944, serving in the China, Burma and India Theater of Operations with the 326 Harbor Craft and ferried supplies up the Houghli River with tug boats. On February 4, 1946, Tuffy was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. In 1986, he “retired” from Mesa Petroleum, but returned to work for Kennedy Oil, where he worked until his death.
Tuffy was a member of the Gillette Moose Lodge.
Tuffy is survived by his wife Cathy of Gillette, Wyoming ; two sons: Richard Argue, of Gillette Wyoming and Patrick (Jody) Argue of Holly Beach, Louisiana; two daughters: Linda Argue of Gillette, Wyoming and Virginia ( Allen ) Galentine of Sevierville, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary Argue in 1998, two brothers and seven sisters.
A memorial has been established in Tuffy’s name to benefit the NEW Bird Foundation or the American Legion to keep flags flying in Gillette. Condolences and donations may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716

Dorothy Vaughn
Funeral services for long time Gillette resident Dorothy Evelyn Vaughn, age 75 will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 11:00 am at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. Burial will take place at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming.
Dorothy passed away on December 27, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
