Ryan S. & Rorey G. McMahan
On behalf of the McMahan Family, Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home will be holding a memorial service for the community of Campbell County. A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with celebrant Kenna Lou Rose officiating. If you have a favorite memory or a card you would like to share with the family, please bring it with you as we will be sending them on to Ryan and Rorey’s family in California.
Ryan, known to his family and friends as “Bear” and Rorey were involved in a boating accident Monday, September 6, 2004, on the Colorado River near Needles, California.
Joint funeral services were held on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona, California.
Ryan was born June 1, 1977, in Hot Springs, South Dakota and graduated from high school in 1996 in Minot, North Dakota. He received his undergraduate degree from Montana State University in 2001. He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a conductor in Needles and served in this capacity for about one year.
Ryan is survived by his father and mother, Royce and Rita McMahan of Corona; a twin brother, Randy Lee McMahan of Chicago, III.; one sister, Renadon Henderson of Springfield, MO; his maternal grandmother, Irene Frye; paternal grandparents, Roy and Jolene McMahan; two nieces; and two nephews.
Rorey Granville McMahan was born November 22, 1975, in Alliance, Nebraska. He graduated in 1994 from Campbell County High School and attended Montana State University. Rorey worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for the past ten years, and most recently held the position of trainmaster in Barstow, California.
Rorey is survived by his wife, Brenna McMahan; his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Sharon Reiner; and family members as mentioned above.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Ryan and Rorey’s names at the First National Bank in Gillette, Wyoming.

Marion Russell "Buck" Ruff
Visitation for Marion Russell “Buck” Ruff will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Rozet cemetery and luncheon at the Rozet Bar & Café.
Marion “Buck” Ruff age 67, Rozet resident, died on August 24, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Buck was born December 7, 1937 in Gillette, Wyoming to Alfred “Pug” and Mae (Morris) Ruff. He graduated from the Rozet High School in 1956. August 31, 1956 he married the love of his life Norma Jean Duvall in Custer, South Dakota. Together they had four children. Buck drove truck, sheared sheep, cut timber and worked in the oil field. Buck & Norma owned and operated the Rozet Bar from 1984 to the present. He loved to play poker, golf, hunt, fish, and arguing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of almost forty-nine years Norma; mother-in-law Jessie Duvall; two children: Diane (Bobbie) Husted, and Justin “Jake” (Lu) Ruff. Four grandchildren: Brandie Jeffress, Trey Husted, Trevor Ruff, and Nolan Ruff; two great grandchildren: Logan Jeffress, and Lana Jeffress; four brothers: Dennis, David, Butch, and Mike; one sister: Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by two children: Alfred Carroll, and Peggy Jo; his parents and father in-law Carroll Duvall.
A memorial has been established in Buck’s name to benefit the Future Farmers of America scholarship fund.

Betty Cool
Betty Cool, age 82, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away September 14, 2004, at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Betty Jane (Bartell) Cool was born April 9, 1922, the daughter of George and Monta (Milner) Bartell in Claremore, Oklahoma. Betty married Bryce Wesley Cool on April 30, 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Monta Lea Carr of Gillette, Wyoming; her son, Samuel Ivan Cool of Casper, Wyoming; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Betty was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed being close to nature, spending time at her summer home at Alcova Lake, traveling, bowling and golfing.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 21, 1991 and her oldest son, Bryce.
At the request of Betty, a private service will be held at the Memorial Garden cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Betty’s name to benefit the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of Gillette, Wyoming or to a charity of one’s choice.

Kristina Borrego
Kristina Michelle Borrego, age 24, of Gillette, Wyoming, died October 19, 2004, at her home in Gillette of undetermined causes.
Funeral services for Kristina will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 23, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Kristina Michelle Bohn, was born March 21, 1980, the daughter of Mark C. Bohn and Lisa (Ryan) Bohn at the Williams Air Force Base (AFB) in Chandler, Arizona. She left Arizona at the age of three weeks, when her father was transferred with the Air Force to Colorado Springs, Colorado. At age two, she moved again to the Netherlands, where her father was stationed at Soesterberg AFB, where she attended pre-school and began kindergarten. Returning to the states in 1986, Mark was given an assignment at Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Kristina spent the next three years in Cheyenne. In 1989, the family moved to Everett, Washington, where Kristina attended grade school and junior high. In 1993, the family moved back to Wyoming, residing in Saratoga, then Hanna, Wyoming. Kristina attended Hanna Junior High and High School. It was here that Kristina made many of her lifelong friends. She met and married her best friend, Ryan Borrego in March of 1998. The couple had two sons, Jordon and Austin. Kristina loved being a wife and mother. In 2000, the family moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where she worked at the Campbell County Recreational Center, Bell Knob Golf Course and recently as a bank teller at the First Interstate Bank. Here in Gillette, Kristina made many friends.
Kristina had a special light about her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She had an extreme compassion for friends and even strangers. She was always giving, if someone needed help. She worked with the Special Olympics, enjoying every minute of it. Kristina loved to ski in the winter and spend time at the lake during the summer. She enjoyed attending her children’s sporting activities, but most of all, she loved being a mother, daughter and sister.
Kristina is survived by her husband, Ryan Borrego; two sons: Austin and Jordon Borrego, all of Gillette, Wyoming; her father, Mark Bohn of Bloomfield, Indiana; her mother, Lisa Hento and brother, Jacob Hento of Story, Wyoming; three sisters: Brittany and Nicole Fank, both of Rawlins, Wyoming; and Shannon Ryan; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Jasin of Apache Jct., Arizona; and two uncles: Ernest Kinney of Florida; and Terry Bohn of California.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Hazel Bostwick; and her maternal grandparents.

Howard Collins
Funeral Services for Howard Collins will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Donovan Voigt of the Presbyterian Church of Moorcroft officiating. Interment will follow in the Moorcroft cemetery in Moorcroft, Wyoming. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
Howard Collins, age 69, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, died Friday, October 8, 2004, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota of a long term illness.
Howard D. Collins was born on June 26, 1935, the son of Alph and Opal (Davis) Collins in New London, Texas. He attended school in Texas. After school when he was 17 he went to work in the oil field on work-over rigs and in oil production through out Texas and New Mexico. On August 27, 1954, Howard married Virgie Schifflett in Seminole, Texas. In 1968 he moved his family to Casper, Wyoming were he was a production foreman with Union Texas Petroleum. In 1990 he went on disability due to health problems. He resided in Moorcroft for 32 years.
Howard was a member of Elks club in Worland for 30 years; he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Howard also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandchildren and joking with everyone. He was a perfectionist that enjoyed cooking, but not cleaning up. Howard made cupcakes for his granddaughters’ birthday that she could take to school and share with her friends.
Howard is survived by his wife Virgie Collins of Moorcroft, Wyoming, his children Phil( Trish ) Collins of Grand Junction, Colorado, Rhonda( Ted )Manke of Moorcroft, Wyoming, Rodney Collins of Casper, Wyoming, Darla( Robert) Hays also of Casper Wyoming. Daughter- in- law Trina Collins of Meeker, Colorado, his brother Ross (Ruthe) Collins of Silver City, New Mexico, one Aunt; Margie Kimmons of Fort Worth, Texas, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 4 step- great grandchildrenan numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
In lieu of flowers memorial has been established to benefit the Moorcroft Fire Department and Moorcroft Ambulance. Donations and/or condolences may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716

Gordan L. Linneman
Memorial services for Gordon L. Linneman Sr. of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 15, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Carsrud officiating of the Family Life Church in Gillette, Wyoming.
Gordon L. Linneman Sr., age 73, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Gordon L. Linneman Sr. was born on July 18, 1931 in Clearmont, Missouri the son of Joseph and Pearl (Showalter) Linneman. The family moved to Douglas, Wyoming in 1934. He was raised and educated in Douglas, Wyoming and graduated high school from there in 1949. Gordon then served in the United States National Guard. He worked with his father painting houses and then worked in the oilfield, uranium mine, truck driver and a terminal superintendent for Black Hills Trucking until his retirement in 1998. Gordon enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, reading and woodworking. He was a true artist, loved the ocean and to travel. Gordon enjoyed watching his gold fish and feeding the birds and squirrels.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Virginia Linneman of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Shelley (Rick) Rowland of Green River, Wyoming; daughter, Ruthie Vahlberg of Green River, Wyoming; sons, Rick Linneman; Gordon Lee Jr. (Natalie); Don Linneman; Ron (Judy) Linneman all of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter in-law, Sharon Linneman of Moorcroft, Wyoming; brother, Joedy Linneman of Sacramento, California; sister, Patty Hall of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sister, Bonnie Ruth Griffin of Artesia, New Mexico; uncle, Clarence Ramseier of Esterbrook, Wyoming; sixteen grand children, thirteen great grandchildren and his beloved dog Toto.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, youngest son, Frank and son-in-law, Ron.

Malka Bestel
Burial of cremains for Malka Bestel will be 1:00 PM, Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Moorcroft cemetery.
Malka Bestel, age 95, of Moorcroft, Wyoming, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Malka M. Bestel was born May 1, 1908 the the daughter of Joe and Gaberala K. Moravec in Muskegon, Michigan. She was raised and educated in Michigan and went on to operatic school where she went to Germany, France, and Italy. Malka received a Bachelors degree from Clark’s College in Washington. Upon her schooling, she returned to the United States and married Frederick Bestel in Portland, Oregon. She worked for the Crown Zellerback Paper Mill as a secretary and retired after twenty-five years. Malka lived a fascinating and adventurous life while touring Europe by herself as a young woman, and meeting many interesting people. She also visited the Holy Lands of Jerusalem. Malka moved to Moorcroft, Wyoming in the late 70’s, where she has resided since.
She was currently attending the Eastern Wyoming College in Moorcroft, Wyoming. She had taken over 150 college credit hours. Malka had a beautiful voice and sang in many operas on the west coast. She went to school to learn calligraphy; after her schooling, she taught others and did many beautiful works. Malka loved flowers and plants. She was a member of the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Moorcroft, Wyoming. Malka studied all her life; she loved learning and had a real zest for living.
Malka is survived by one son, Dan (Doris) Bestel of Sundance, Wyoming and a special friend, Gary Lorang of Shelby, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Ruth Whistler
Ruth Whistler, age 101, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at her daughters home in Rapid City, South Dakota of natural causes.
Ruth Belle Whistler, mother of Eurith Romel of Rapid City, S.D. Philip Whistler of Roseville, California and Joan Miller of Laurel Montana; grandmother of 5, great- grandmother of 7 and great-great-grandmother of 2,
Memorial services will be held on her birthday, May 30, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, with Pastor Joel Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley cemetery in Rozet.

Stanley Benson
Funeral services for Stanley Benson, age 67, of Gillette will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Larry Sessions presiding and Bishop Tony Klamm conducting. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery, at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 with Charles Vincent dedicating the grave. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette and Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell are entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Benson died on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette of natural causes.
Stanley Mortensen Benson was born September 14, 1937 in Cowley Wyoming the youngest son of Leonard A. and Laura (Mortensen) Benson. He was raised and educated in Lovell. Stan married Sharleen Bassett on November 18, 1957 in Lovell. This is where the couple made their home together and started their family. As a younger man Stan worked in road construction. He also owned his own truck and worked for various companies driving for them. In August of 1970 Stan moved his family to Colstrip, Montana. Here he worked as a foreman for Long Construction. Residing in Colstrip over a seven year period Stan and Sharleen grew their family by one while there. In 1977 the family returned to Lovell adding the last child to complete their family of eight. Stan delighted in his children and his wife he loved them dearly and that was reflected in the amount of time he spent with them. In 1988 Sharleen and Stan made their last move to Gillette. Stan worked as a heavy equipment operator. Though Stan’s family never felt as if he retired he did refrain from employment in 1994.
Stan enjoyed cooking, the Big Horn Mountains: fishing and camping within them, restoring old cars, classic car shows and admiring them on the road as well. He will be remembered for his fun joking manner (that he passed on to his kids) ability to visit with everyone and his warm sincere heart.
Survivors include his wife of forty seven and a half years Sharleen; six children: Jan (Charles) Vincent of Colstrip, Montana, Joleen (Fred) Crosby of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Michael (Nicole) Benson of Gillette, Wyoming, Julie (Rick) Banks of Lovell, Wyoming, Malissa (Rick) Applegate of Fairbanks, Alaska and Mitchell Benson of Gillette, Wyoming; eighteen grandchildren; three sisters: Alma Jolley, Verna Walker, and Ruth Olsen all of Lovell, Wyoming.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Jean Gelok and three brothers: Albert Benson, Dell Benson and James Benson.

Jeffrey Franklin Burt
Funeral services for Jeffrey Franklin Burt of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Thomas State Center in Blackfoot, Idaho with Bishop Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Jeff Burt, age 21, of Gillette died August 29, 2005 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Campbell County.
Jeff was born on June 30, 1984 in Boulder City, Nevada to Frank Burt and Kellie Burton. He was raised and educated in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and moved to Gillette and began working for RCR Wall Service.
He is survived by his parents: John Franklin Burt of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Kellie Burt of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother: Gregory Paul Burt of Blackfoot, Idaho; one sister Jamie Lynn Burt of Blackfoot, Idaho; numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Thomas State Center in Blackfoot, Id
Interment: will follow in Blackfoot, Idaho
