S.T. GAY
ANNISTON — Funeral service for S.T. Gay, 78, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Ervin Funeral Chapel (Chapel of the Chimes) in Anniston with the Rev. Henery Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery.
Mr. Gay died July 19 at Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Bledsoe Gay, and his parents, George and Mattie Thomas. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by daughters, Rebecca Gay and Miranda Harris of Anniston; brother, George Thomas II of Anniston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Nieces will serve as flowerbearers.
Ervin Funeral Chapel will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ed Dyer Lightsey Jr., 68, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating. Burial will be in Childersburg City Cemetery.
Mr. Lightsey died July 22 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was married for 31 years and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He drove a truck for Floyd & Beasley Trucking Company for some 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Lightsey of Sylacauga; daughters, Edwina Lightsey of Sylacauga, Dena Lightsey of Plantersville, Pam Roland of Sylacauga and Tori Lightsey of Sylacauga; sons, Frank Lightsey of Millbrook and Greg Lightsey of Sylacauga; brothers, Odell Lightsey and Lonnie Lightsey of Bon Air; sisters, Virginia Marlowe of Childersburg and Evalina McCloud of Spanish Fort; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

OXFORD — Margie Thompson, 48, died July 21 at her residence.

SYLACAUGA — Graveside service for infant Thomas Harper Walton was Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery
with the Rev. Mike Ratliff officiating.
The infant died July 8.
He is survived by his father, Jeremy H. Walton, and his mother, Angela Walton, of Cartersville, Ga.; brother, Jackson Walton of Cartersville, Ga.; sister, Savannah Walton, and twin sister, Harper Grace Walton, of Cartersville, Ga.; grandparents, Don and Star Walton of Seale, Doug and Darlene Freeman of Goshen, Ind., Bill and Lisa Gonzenbach of Tuscaloosa and Virginia Walls of Childersburg.

RUBY JANE GRAHAM COKER
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ruby Jane Graham Coker, 94, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Todd Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery.
Mrs. Coker died July 23 at her residence. She taught school in the Sylacauga School System for 18 years, attended Athens College, where she got her B.S. degree, and was a Girl Scout leader. She was a drama coach at Sylacauga High School and was a member of Sylacauga First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Sarah Lynn C. Hethcox and husband Jim of Sylacauga and Jane C. Glasser and husband Lewis of Tucson, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 8 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jennifer Hethcox Herring, Alan Hethcox, Ashley Hethcox, Benjamin Glasser, Carol Glasser and Lou Herring.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dusty Wall.

VINCENT — Funeral service for Deborah Patricia Reynolds Datcher, 53, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Scotts Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Andrew Davis officiating. Burial will be in Harpersville Cemetery.
Ms. Datcher died July 21 at Coosa Valley BMC. She was a native of Shelby County and was a member of Scotts Grove Baptist Church. She was a former insurance saleswoman and also worked with Madden's Funeral Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Datcher, and her parents, Rushin Wallace and Janie Mae Threatt.
She is survived by daughter, Keva Marie Datcher of Vincent; and sisters, Cynthia Threatt and Shonda Threatt of Harpersville.
Madden's Funeral Service will direct the service.
OPHELIA MAGOUYRK
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Ophelia Magouyrk, 83, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Morris Mitchell and the Rev. Eddie Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Tallassahatchie Cemetery
in Alpine.
Mrs. Magouyrk died July 23 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Magouyrk.
She is survived by daughters, Betty Goodson of Sylacauga, Mary Edwards of Sylacauga, Carolyn Hammonds of Talladega and Annette Haney of Talladega; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ferguson, Paul Ferguson, Jeff Goodson, Chris Goodson, Curtis Smith and Jerry Shaddix.

GOODWATER — Funeral service for Juanita (Net) Odum will be Saturday at noon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Goodwater with the Rev. A.R. Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Odum died July 22 at Coosa Valley BMC. She was a native of Walker County and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James Owens of Martin, Tenn.; daughter, Dorothy Patton of Sylacauga; sons, Ervin Odum of Goodwater, James Odum Jr. of Jasper and Henry L. Odum of Martin, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and16 great-grandchildren.

DADEVILLE — Funeral service for Cozella Stith, 82, will be Saturday at noon at Haven Chapel United Methodist Church in Dadeville with the Rev. David Tucker officiating. Burial will be in New Hope C.M.E. Church Cemetery
in Goodwater.
Mrs. Stith died July 24 at Wilder Health Care Center in Dadeville. She was a member of Haven Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by son, Frankie Stith of Spring Valley, N.Y.; sisters, Mae Hale of Dadeville and Nettie Simmons of Goodwater; and a host of other relatives.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and flowerbearers.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

WILLIAM ELL STOREY
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for William Ell (Jake) Storey, 66, of 255 Curry Lane, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Turner and the Rev. L.L. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Union Springs Church Cemetery.
Mr. Storey died July 20 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ross Storey Sr. and Mattie E. Parker Storey, and a brother, John R. Storey. He was a graduate of Ophelia Hill High School, was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Ford Motor Company.
He is survived by sisters, Sallie Elston and Mattie Welch of Indianapolis, Ind., Rose Truss and Izola Storey of Talladega and Lillian Mighty of Jamaica, N.Y.; and brothers, George Storey of Talladega, Will Prentence Storey of Indianapolis, Ind., and James Edward Storey of Staten Island, N.Y.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Nephews, Union Springs Baptist Church Male Chorus and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
