EDITH MAE CRUMPTON

WEOGUFKA — Funeral service for Edith Mae Crumpton, 81, of Weogufka, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Larry Morris and the Rev. Joy Screws officiating. Burial will be in O.J. Mooney Cemetery in Weogufka.

Mrs. Crumpton was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Crumpton and a son, Jerald Dunn Crumpton.

She was a retired nurse and served as director of Nursing Service at Baptist Medical Center Princeton. She was an active member of West Coosa Senior Citizens Center and Weogufka Methodist Church.

Mrs. Crumpton is survived by one daughter, Anne Evans of Weogufka; two brothers, O.J. Mooney of Weogufka and Hoyt Mooney of Millington, Tenn.; two sisters, Sarah Pope of Weogufka and Louise Rudd of Dothan; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Weogufka Methodist Church. The family can be contacted at www.radneysmith.com.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

CAROL JAMES FRINAK

NEENAH, Wisc. — Carol "Jim" James Frinak, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Neenah on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003.

Mr. Frinak was born on Oct. 6, 1926, in Stanley, Wisc., son of the late Adolph and Soneva "Susie" (Erickson) Frank. On Dec. 28, 1952, he married Carol B. Meyer.

Mr. Frinak graduated from Stanley High School in 1994, where he served as Senior Class President and went on to study at Eau Claire State University in Eau Claire, Wisc. His education was interrupted by service in the U.S. Army Infantry in 1945, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Following his honorable discharge, he continued his education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, where he received his bachelor’s in Liberal Arts degree in 1952.

After graduation, his entire professional working life (34 plus years) was with Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Personnel and Industrial Relations, including 24 years with the Coosa River Mill in Childersburg.

He retired in April 1987 from Kimberly-Clark's Neenah Paper Division. His interests included wood working and clock making and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Frinak of Neenah; four sons, James Carol (Peggy Jean) Frinak of Grapevine, Texas, Timothy Rolf (Josepha) Frinak of Auburn, Steven Lars Frinak of Middletown, MD., and Paul Eric (Sheila Jo) Frinak of Mansfield, Ohio.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aaron, Alicia, Sara, Kevin, Eric and Kyle Frinak; his brother, A Sherman (Charlotte) Frinak, Kansas City, Mo., and his sisters-in-law, Patricia "Patsy" Frinak of Stanley, Wisc. and Veda "Pat" Frinak of Beaver Dam, Wisc.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 147 E. Fourth Ave., Stanley, Wisc., with the Rev. William Stewart officiating.

Family and friends may visit at Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah on Sunday from 6-7 p.m. and again on Monday at the church in Stanley, Wisc., from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

A prayer service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Ahlemeyer officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley, Wisc. A memorial fund is being established to benefit the American Lung Association.

Mr. Frinak's family would like to say a special thank you to the staff and volunteers with Theda Care Hospice for their wonderful care and concern.

JIMMY LOUVELL SWAIN

VINCENT — Memorial service for Jimmie Louvell Swain, 48, of Vincent will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Coosa Valley Baptist Church with Rev. W.J. Posey officiating.

Mr. Swain died Aug. 11 at his residence.

He is survived by one brother, Billy Joe Threatt of Vincent; one sister, Sarah Norwood of Harpersville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Annie Bell Swain and one brother, D.C. Franklin.

Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.

RICKEY TRAMMELL

TALLADEGA — Rickey Trammell of Talladega died Friday at home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Talladega Funeral Home.

DAVID RICKEY TRAMMELL

TALLADEGA _ Funeral service for David Rickey Trammell, 49, will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Talladega Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens.

Mr. Trammell died Aug. 15 at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was a member of the First Brecon Baptist Church and was retired from Synaflex Company in Talladega. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.F. and Inez Trammell and two brothers, Jerry W. Trammell and Bobby Trammell.

He is survived by his wife, Delma Jean Trammell of Talladega; two sons, Daniel R. Smith and D. Eric Trammell, both of Talladega; two brothers, Harvey Trammell of Talladega and Edward Trammell of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Kristen Skye Smith and Brendan Eric Trammell and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be John Brewer III, Joey Wheat, Johnny Goodwin, Billy Irvin, Michael Smith, Timmy Dean and Brian Smith.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

JULIAN ELLIOTT

TALLADEGA _ Julian Elliott, 78, died Saturday at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Usrey Funeral Home.

CHARLES GARRETT

TALLADEGA _ Charles Garrett, 55, died Aug. 13 at Coosa Valley Hospital in Sylacauga.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Rest In Peace Funeral Service.

LOLA ESTELLE STEWART LEE

CROPWELL — Funeral service for Lola Estelle Stewart Lee, 75, will be Monday at 11 a.m. from the Coosa Valley Church of God with the Rev. Harlen Harris and the Rev. John Lombard officiating. Burial will be in the Coosa Valley Church of God Cemetery.

Mrs. Lee died Aug. 16 at her home. She was a longtime resident of St. Clair County and resident of Cropwell since 1951. She was a member of the Coosa Valley Church of God. She and her husband had been married 56 years.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Lee; three daughters, Phyllis Gore and Reba Brown, both of Cropwell and Deonne Waters of Southside; two sons, Chris Lee of Ragland and Tim Lee of Cropwell; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Karl Waters, Alan Waters, Allen Lee, Harold Fairchilds, Benjamin Briseno and Duke Brown.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.

Kilgroe Funeral Home will direct the service.

ESTER MARIE MEASLES

TALLADEGA _ Graveside service for Ester Marie Measles, 61, will be Sunday at 1 p.m. from the Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Haywood officiating.

Mrs. Measles died Aug. 14 at Citizens BMC. She was a native of Calhoun County but had lived most of her life in Talladega County. She as a retired private duty nurse and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lee Taylor and Peggy Willis, both of Talladega; three sons, Bubba Taylor and Robert Taylor, both of Talladega and Danny Measles of Sylacauga; one sister, Peggy Moxley of Talladega; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Taylor, David Denton, Joey Denton, Bubba Taylor, Tammy Taylor and Jackie Denton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Worthington and Jason Cooper.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

ANNIE RUTH ESTES MOUNT

MONTGOMERY _ Funeral service for Annie Ruth Estes Mount, 67, of Mathews, Ala., will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from Ramer United Methodist Church with Dr. Rodger Dick Johns and the Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the Ramer Cemetery.

Mrs. Mount is survived by her husband, Parker Gray Mount of Mathews; three sons, Parker G. Mount Jr., of Louisville, Ky., William C. (Rhonda) Mount of Mathews and Howard R. Mount of Birmingham; one daughter, Melissa M. (Rob) Hertenstein of Montgomery; one brother, V.J. Estes of Sylacauga; one sister, Evelyn Fillingim of Long Beach, Miss. and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation or United Methodist Children's Home.

Brooks-Cargile Funeral Home in Montgomery will direct the service.

KATHIE DEAN SMITH

PELL CITY _ Funeral service for Kathie Dean Smith, 44, will be Monday at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Marc Culver officiating. Burial will be in Seddon Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Aug. 15. She was a resident of Pell City for the past six years and a Baptist by faith.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Orr and Mrs. Carlee Armstrong, both of Pell City; mother, Mrs. Iladean Conley of Pell City.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

MARTHA WADE

TALLADEGA _ Martha Wade of Talladega, died Aug. 16 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
