JERRY MURLE FORD
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Jerry Murle Ford, 55, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with Cliff Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Greens Cemetery
in Lincoln.
Mr. Ford died Feb. 26 in Sylacauga. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County and was a former auto body repairman. He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Edward Ford; his parents, Henry (Keen Eye) and Ada Ford; and three brothers, Tommy Mack, Bobby and Jimmy Edward Ford; and stepson, Rodney Thomas.
He is survived by daughter, Jenny Ford Stephens of Munford; son, Jeff Ford of Talladega; special friend, Annie Ruth Thomas of Talladega; sisters, Helen Jean Minton of Reece City, Frankie Bentley Palmer of Ohio and Patsy Bazwell of Oklahoma; brothers, Johnny Ford of Eastaboga, Tony Ford of Ohio and Randy (Red) Ford of Eastaboga; stepchildren, Randy Thomas, Ronnie Thomas and Tracey Kendrick of Talladega; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, Bryan Bentley, Rory Kendrick, Randy Ford, Brinton Coughran and Stevie Waters.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
JOE BUEL HARRELL JR.
ALPINE — Graveside service for Joe Buel Harrell Jr., 77, will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating.
Mr. Harrell died Feb. 25 at Bill Nichols State Veterans Home in Alexander City. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was a retired painter for Coosa Valley BMC and was a veteran of World War II. He was a former employee of Beaunit Fibers and was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Harrell; and son, Joe Ed Harrell.
He is survived by daughters, Shelia H. Todd of Gordo and Heather Daniel Bennefield of Alpine; sons, Ronnie Harrell of Winterboro, Terry Bennefield of Alpine and Gary Bennefield of Sycamore; sisters, Mary Humphries of Talladega, Peggy Ann Jones of Plantersville and Thelma Yvone Hardy of Alpine; brothers, Charles Harrell, Roscoe Harrell and Ralph Harrell of Talladega; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
ELLA MAE JACKSON
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Ella Mae Jackson, 87, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Jackson died Feb. 26 in Sylacauga. She was a member of Marble City Baptist Church and retired as clerk of the Plant Department for BellSouth Telephone after some 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Obie Haynes; her mother, Martha Abney Haynes; and sister, Edna Hayes. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by brother, Jerome Haynes of Sylacauga; niece, Gina Haynes of Sylacauga; nephew, David Haynes of Sylacauga; and great-niece, Ashley Haynes of Sylacauga.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Marble City Baptist Church, 1512 Quarry Road, Sylacauga, Ala., 35150.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

VICTORIA GRACE PARSONS
ASHLAND — Graveside service for infant Victoria Grace (Gracie) Parsons, one month, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ashland City Cemetery
with the Rev. Braden Morrison officiating.
The infant died Feb. 25 at University Hospital. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Phillip Oliver and Ben and Margaret Parsons.
She is survived by her mother, Angelia Gail Wheeles; her father, Brian Scott Parsons; half brother, Triston Parsons; grandparents, Wayne and Cindy Wheeles and Scott and Theresa Parsons, all of Ashland; great-grandparents, Don and Freda Wheeles of Portsmouth, Ohio, Wilma Oliver of Ashland and Walter and Clois Gravette of Ashland; and a host of aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m.

LOUELLA RANSAW
ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral service for Louella Ransaw, 102, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Elam No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Earlie Leonard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ransaw died Feb. 25.
She is survived by daughter, Essie Fennie of Alexander City; son, James Ransaw of Alexander City; seven granddaughters; four grandsons; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

BOBBIE RUTH CUNNINGHAM TRUSS
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Bobbie Ruth Cunningham Truss, 65, of 98 Eula Lane, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Johnny F. McKenzie and the Rev. Paul D. Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Ragland Cemetery.
Mrs. Truss died Feb. 21 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, was a former employee of Woolworth's Department Store and was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Truss; her parents, Willie R. Cunningham and Viola Burk Cunningham.
She is survived by daughter, Regina T. Briskey of Leeds; stepdaughter, Terris J. Adams of Ellenwood, Ga.; son, Timothy Truss Sr. of Talladega; sister, Mary Smith of Talladega; brothers, Willie J. Cunningham of Talladega and Paul D. Cunningham of Oakland, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Truss, Maverick Stockdale, Robert Draper, Bernard Tuck, Stam Garrett and Lester Rowls.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Cunningham, Clifton Cunningham, Marshall Smoot Jr., Marshall Smoot Sr., Greg Smith and Troskey Twymon.
Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

ELBERT BEST JR.
ANNISTON — Funeral service for Elbert Best Jr., 74, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church with the Rev. W.C. McGown Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Best died Feb. 27 at Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Anniston and member of the Players Chapel C.M.E. Church, where he served as steward. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Best, and one son, Homer Best.
He is survived by one son, Elmer Best III of Anniston; five daughters, Patricia Tharpe of Jacksonville, Sandra Best-Smith of Portsmouth, Va., and Gloria Wright, Willie Delois Heath and Regina Spikes, all of Anniston; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wright of Oxford and Geraldine Williams of Boston; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Anniston Funeral Services will direct the service.
FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT CULP
BIRMINGHAM — Funeral service for Franklin Roosevelt Culp, 70, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga with Dr. Hal Warren officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
in Sylacauga.
Mr. Culp died Feb. 27. He retired from the Kimberly-Clark Corp. after some 30 years of service. He was married for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Culp of Sylacauga; one son, Chuck Culp of Sylacauga; three daughters, Robbie Bassett and her husband, Ronnie, Kim Duncan and her husband, Jeff, and Cheri Lewis and her husband, Michael, all of Sylacauga; one brother, Joe Culp of Sycamore; two sisters, Lois Acton of Panama City, Fla., and Myra Berg of Tallahassee, Fla.; six granddaughters, Jill Dewberry and her husband, Brandon, Nicole Bassett, Kristin Duncan, Shelley Bassett, Brittnie Culp and Hannah Mitchell; two grandsons, Corey Culp and Jaycob Culp; and one great-granddaughter, Brookelyn Dewberry.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bassett, Jeff Duncan, Michael Lewis, Brandon Dewberry, Doug Looney and James Looney.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

PELL CITY — Jessie Lewis Curry, 86, died Feb. 28 at his residence.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Gertrude Thomas Hill, 82, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Childersburg chapel of Curtis and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Burl Landers officiating. Burial will be in Childersburg Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill died Feb. 27 at Sylacauga Health Care. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Hill, and two sons, Colon Hill and Ronald Hill.
She is survived by two sons, Tim Hill of Childersburg and Roger Hill of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ron Risher, Jeff Risher, Matt Hill, Adam Shackleford, Mason Wright and Rocky Tubbs.
