Erclee Cooper Singley
MOBILE - Graveside service for Erclee Cooper Singley,
85, were held Wednesday, Nov. 9th, 2005 at Coopers Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Singley was a native of Silas and a long time resident of
Mobile. She passed away on Monday, Nov. 7th at her residence.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Lou Hawks and Sara (Ed) Ward;
three grandchildren, Katrina Hoffman, Richard Hoffman and Ken
(Becky) Ward; four great grandchildren, Nicole, Garrett, Jade
Hoffman and Jessie Ward; one brother, P.F. (Janice) Cooper; numerous
family and friends.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, Richard Hoffman and Ken Ward.
Active Pallbearers were Ronny Wimberley, Charlie Hoffman, Parish
Plantin and Josiah Holmes.

Thomas Charles Herles
CUBA - Funeral services for Thomas Charles Herles, 41,
were held Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 at Storehouse Worship Center in
Butler with Rev. Jon Brown officiating. Interment followed in
the Marvin Cemetery in Toxey.
Mr. Herles was born January 5, 1964 in Ft. Worth, TX. He worked
for Emergystat Ambulance Service.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Mazingo Herles of Cuba; one
son, Little Tommy Herles of Cuba; two daughters, Nicki Bunyard
Welch (Travis) of Winnsboro, LA; Sherry McKinney of Duncan, OK;
one brother, David Herles of Gainesville, MO; Cathy Herles of
Hustonville, KY; two granddaughters, mother, Sherry Herles of
Gainesville, MO; mother-in-law, Emma Means, father-in-law, Milton
Mazingo both of Toxey.
Pallbearers were Skip Holder, Chris Vaughan, Reid Vaughan, Dennis
Bragg, Levin Culpepper, and Ricky Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers
were Cuba Fire Dept. and First Responders, Emergystat Ambulance
Crew of Sumter Co., Choctaw County Rescue Squad, Steven (Ted)
Mazingo, Travis Welch, Truman Welch, and Wesley Davis.
Bumpers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Winston Wayne Gibson
TOXEY -- military graveside services for Winston Wayne Gibson,
57, were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at Brightwater Cemetery
in Needham.
Mr. Gibson was born on July 26, 1948 to Earlie and Leona Gibson
and died Wednesday, Nov. 9th at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical
Center in Meridian.
Mr. Gibson served in the U.S. Army during the Vietname War and
was stationed in the Mekong Delta with the Mobile Riverine Force.
He was a pointman which is considered an extremely dangerous position
in the front line of duty. He was awarded a Bronze Star with V-DVC.
He was a retired Captain of a river boat.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue Gibson; two daughters,
Lesley Wilson of Meridian, and Shonda Beck of Lavaca; four brothers,
Murray H. Gibson, Arnold Gibson, Gordon Ray Gibson and Mark Gibson,
all of Toxey; three sisters, Linda Jackson of Millry; Cathryn
Wade of Tell City, Indiana, and Vangie Mosley of Lusk; three grandchildren,
Brice Wilson, Madison Beck, and Vaiden Wayne Beck.

Clifton Lewis Turner
TOXEY - Funeral services for Clifton Lewis Turner, 64, were
held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005 at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Kevin Jones and Rev. James Bonner. Interment followed
in the Brightwater Cemetery.
Mr. Turner was born on Jan. 19, 1941 and died on Nov. 10th at
Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He worked for
Ft. James Corporation as a Rewinder Operator.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Turner of Toxey; two sons, Kenneth
Lewis Turner of Meridian; Christopher Wade Turner of Toxey; two
daughters, Sherry Malone of Toxey; Annette Austin of Tallassee;
a brother, Charlie Turner of Needham; a sister, Lois Melton, of
Needham; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Sidney Jackson, Scott Jackson, Carl Jackson,
Sam Dixon, Mark Roberts, and Ken Turner. Alternate pallbearers
were Mike Smith and Timothy Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Shon Jackson, William Fluker, William
Utsey, Perry Newton, Johnny Thompson, Donald Lolley, Paul Turner,
and Harold Lafferty.
Bumpers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

William Tell Davidson
ST. STEPHENS - Funeral services for William Tell Davidson,
79, were held Thursday, November 4, 2005 at the chapel of St.
Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Dean officiating. Graveside
services with Masonic Rites were held at Midway United Methodist
Cemetery in Bigbee.
Mr. Davidson passed away on Nov. 2nd at a local hospital. He was
a native of Texas and a resident of St. Stephens. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Army and spent most of his life in the construction
field.
He is survived by his wife, Lois G. Davidson of St. Stephens;
a twin sister, Mary Nell Boyles of Texarkana, TX; three daughters,
Carrol Johnson of St. Stephens; Sheila Troxler of LA Place, LA;
Becky Morris of Mountain Home, AR; one son, William M. Davidson
of St. Stephens.
St. Stephens Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
