James Earl Kellum

Funeral services for James Earl Kellum, 61, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Vernon Alvis officiating, with Burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kellum died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Arab on April 8, 1942. He was a laborer for Goldenrod Hatchery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Elorna Kellum; and his stepfather, David Dale.

Survivors include two brothers, Ted Dale of Berlin and Thurmond Kellum of Whitesville, Tenn.; and three sisters, Barbara Helms of Garden City, Jo Ann Kee of Berlin and Frances Wright of Hanceville.

Visitation was Monday.

Edgar W. Klauer

Funeral services for Edgar W. Klauer, 86, of Sidney, Ohio were held Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003 at Cromes Funeral Home, Fred B. Lacuesta officiating, with Burial with full military honors in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, Ohio.

Cromes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Klauer died Thursday, July 31 at his residence. He was born Sept. 6, 1916 in Mansfield, Ohio, the son of Herman and Viola Homerick Klauer. He graduated from Piqua High School in 1934. He was a World War II Army veteran of the Pacific Theater. He married Mary K. Heath Snyder on Oct. 18, 1952. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217, Sidney Elks Lodge No. 786, Sidney Moose Lodge No. 568, and the Sidney V.F.W. He was employed by Union Oil Company 76 as plant manager, retiring in 1981 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed wood working and golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Thomas) Sturm of Dothan; a sister, Gertrude Neff of Greensburg, Ind.; three grandchildren, David (Cynthia) Sturm of Bangor, Maine, Scott (Michelle) Sturm of Ashford and Maria (Steven) Stanford of Cullman; six great-grandchildren, Cathrynn Sturm, Elizabeth Sturm, Andrew Sturm, all of Bangor, Maine, Matthew Sturm of Ashford, Mary Katherine Stanford and Thomas Jackson Stanford, both of Cullman; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Rebecca O'Connor and Bethany O'Connor, both of Bangor, Maine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association or the Dorothy Love Life Care fund in his memory.

Lucy Wynell Vickers Farris

Funeral services for Lucy Wynell Vickers Farris, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003 at Walker-Brown Funeral Chapel, with Burial in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Walker-Brown Funeral Home of Bartlesville, Okla. is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Farris died Sunday, Aug. 10 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was retired from the Tulsa Public School system, having served as a cafeteria manager until 1983. She was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and Tulsa Baptist Temple. She was born March 14, 1925 in Cullman to John William "Buck" and Josie Lee Hodge. In 1943 she met and married Bill Vickers in Rome, Ga. They traveled across the United States through his employment. They ultimately made their home in Tulsa raising three children until his death in 1975. She married Clyde Farris in 1983 and they enjoyed their retirement years by traveling and enjoying gospel music until his death in 1996. In 1999 she moved to Bartlesville to be closer to her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; three sisters; her first husband, Bill Vickers; her second husband, Clyde Farris; a son, Charles W. Vickers; and a grandson, Edward Keith Brown.

Survivors include a son, Bill (Connie) Vickers of Cortez, Colo.; a daughter, Gail (Keith) Brown of Bartlesville; a daughter-in-law, Sue (Bob) Locke of Owasso; a sister, Jeanette Witcher of Cullman; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brandon) Maloy, Michelle Adams, Keith (Kelly) Vickers, Kevin Brown and Lauren Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Beau and Zac Ellingford, Hope Adams and Colton Vickers.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Michael Amos Griffin

Funeral services for Michael Amos Griffin, 22, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Brian Murphree officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Griffin died Monday, Aug. 11. He was born April 29, 1981 in Cullman. He worked in shipping and receiving at Cullman Products.

Survivors include his father, Michael (Terri) Griffin of Vinemont; his mother, Nancy (Darrill Moore) Griffin of Cullman; a brother, Timothy Griffin of Vinemont; grandparents, Lesley and Betty Griffin of Vinemont; an uncle, Jimmy (Sheila) Griffin of Vinemont; and two aunts, Pam (Randy) Gunter of Vinemont and EVa Mae Harrison of Hartselle.

Visitation wil be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Jeanette Childers

Memorial services for Jeanette Childers, 65, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Ken Allen officiating.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Childers died Monday, Aug. 11 at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born March 4, 1938. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Fulmer.

Survivors include her husband, Elton Childers of Cullman; two sons, Charles (Cindy) Childers of Cullman and Steve (Carmen) Childers of Columbus, Ga.; a daughter, Kathy Childers of Cullman; her mother, Lottie Mae Fulmer of Cullman; a sister, Barbara (Allen) Sharp of Cullman; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 9 p.m. today.

Cordis Mary White

Funeral services for Cordis Mary White, 86, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, Keith Whitley officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. White died Monday, Aug. 11 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1917 to Alford and Mary Turney Carnes. She was a sales clerk for Southern Cloth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde White; two brothers, James and Clarence Carnes; and three sisters, Louella Yarbrough, Mertis Morgan and Erin Schnelle.

Survivors include a sister, Cora Lee (Roy) Holmes; eight nieces; and 12 nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.

Margie F. Brock Sprow

Funeral services for Margie F. Brock Sprow, 52, of Chambersburg, Pa. will be a private family ceremony.

Cumberland Valley Crematorium of Waynesboro, Pa. is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Sprow died Friday, Aug. 8 at her residence. She was born Nov. 3, 1950 in Flint. Mich. to R.V. and June Harris Brock of Bremen. She was a homemaker. She lived her early years in Flint, Mich. She lived in the Chambersburg area for the past six years. She graduated from Hanceville High School in 1968.

She was preceded in death by her father; and infant son, Adam Ray; and on brother, John Brock.

Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Ammie Black Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Wade Sprow of Spartanburg, S.C.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Brock of Bremen and Matthew Brock of League City, Texas; and her companion of the six years, Jeffrey James Miller of Chambersburg.

Winell D. Waldrep

Funeral services for Winell D. Waldrep, 80, of Cullman are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by the funeral home.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Waldrep died Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Derrick Lee Drane

Funeral services for Derrick Lee Drane, 15, of Elizabethtown, Ky. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Funeral Chapel, J.W. Hicks officiating, with Burial in Mt. Hope Baptist Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Drane died Tuesday, Aug. 12 in Kentucky. He was born March 24, 1988 in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mitchell T. Drane Jr.

Survivors include his father, Mitchell Tyrone Drane Sr. of Elizabethtown, Ky.; his mother, Karen Sue Drane of Falkville; three brothers, Christopher Drane, Eric Drane and Anthony Drane, all of Cullman; and a sister, Misty Drane of Trussville.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Howard H. Entrekin

Funeral services for Howard H. Entrekin, 74, of Huntsville, formerly of Cullman, will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at Moss-Service Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Rodney Entrekin officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Entrekin died Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1928 to Emery and Dora Mae Roden Entrekin. He was retired from Chevron-Texaco of California. He lived in Huntsville for the past five years and was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Entrekin; and a sister, Judy Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne Burgess Entrekin of Huntsville; a son, Barry (Anna) Entrekin of Huntsville; a daughter, Viki Staley of Kennesaw, Ga.; two brothers, James E. Entrekin of Lacey's Spring and Larry J. Entrekin of Cullman; a sister, Patricia Entrekin of Cullman; and five grandchildren, Kris Goodwin of Marietta, Ga., Lauren Staley of Kennesaw, Ga., Caleb Entrekin, Adam Entrekin and Philip Entrekin, all of Huntsville.

Visitation was Wednesday.

Victoria Jewel Camp Jetton

Funeral services for Victoria Jewel Camp Jetton, 84, of Baileyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2003 at Mt. Olive First Congregational Methodist Church, the Rev. Charles Dixon officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jetton died Wednesday, Aug. 13 at her residence. She was born April 20, 1919 in Franklin County to Sebron Allen and Emma Nunnelly Camp. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Jetton; four brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include a son, Wayne (Ruth) Jetton of Cullman; a daughter, Brenda (Harold) Widener of Mt. Olive; a brother, Hassel Camp of Georgia; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Milas T. Anders

Funeral services for Milas T. Anders, 71, of Cullman are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Anders died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Virgie Mae Stinson Bradford

Funeral services for Virgie Mae Stinson Bradford, 92, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Howard Wolff Jr. officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Cullman-Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bradford died Thursday, Aug. 14 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1911 to Bert and Luella Noble Stinson. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas S. Bradford; two sons, Buel W. Bradford and Eugene Edward Bradford; a sister, Edith Bellum; and a brother, Herbert Stinson.

Survivors include 11 children, Geneva (Hershel) Morgan, Betty (Bob) Caver, Reba (Van) Wilhite, Paul (Martha) Bradford, Charles Bradford, James (June) Bradford, Linda (Ernie) Pannell, Mary (Jim) Pinkard, Donnie (Telia) Bradford, Keith (Shelia) Bradford, Kelly (Janita) Bradford; two daughters-in-law, Margie Bradford and Bid Bradford; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene Dunlap and Dessie Blair; and a brother, Fleetwood Stinson.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her 13 grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Debra Sue Verus James

Funeral services for Debra Sue Verus James, 48, of Baileyton will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Roger Hood and Eric Hutchison officiating, with Burial in Concord Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. James died Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 21, 1954 in Flint, Mich. She worked for Cullman Cabinet Shop. She was a member of Spring Arbor Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William Charles James; her parents, Fred Darrell and Vera Sheppard Verus; three sons, Tracy Lynn Verus, Ryan Scott James and Michael William James; three daughters, Marcy Lynn Verus, Katileyn Marie James and Kalista Ariel James; and three grandchildren, Amber Nichoele Verus, Erika Hunter Verus and Colton Reese Verus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Spring Arbor Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Debra James.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
