Ruby Williams Harbison

Funeral services for Ruby Williams Harbison, 91, of Birmingham, will be at noon Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Livingston Chapel, the Rev. Bill Harbison officiating, with Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Jefferson Memorial Trussville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harbison died Friday, April 10. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Harbison.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth H. Baldwin; five sons, Carlos Braxton Harbison, James Harbison, Troy Harbison, Ralph Harbison and David Harbison; one sister, Audrey Grimes; one brother, Bill Williams; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Diabetes. Foundation.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Salvatore Riccardi

Funeral services for Salvatore Riccardi, 75, of New Jersey will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Christ the King Abbey in Cullman, with Burial in the church cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Riccardi died Friday, April 9, at the Tuskeegee Veterans Administration Hospital after a prolonged battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on Jan. 31, 1929. He was a 27-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He taught air traffic control for 10 years, followed by volunteering for another 10 years with the Daphne Fire Department. He was a decorated veteran, having served during the Korean War and the Vietname War.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Louise Riccardi; a daughter, Maria Moran; a son, Salvatore Riccardi Jr.; five granddaughters; and a son-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ the King Abbey, P.O. Box 1616, Cullman, Ala. 35058-1616.

A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Preston Yeager

Funeral services for James Preston Yeager, 81, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Revs. Ray Latham and Robert Morgan officiating, with Burial in Simcoe Methodist Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yeager died Sunday, April 11, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1923, in Cullman to James Buford and Myrtie Mae Jetton Yeager. He was a produce business owner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II, a deacon at Unity Freewill Baptist Church for over 20 years and a member of the Masons Lodge No. 421, Cullman Chapter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Katherine Cruce; and two brothers-in-law, G.W. Pinkard and Henry Burks.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Marcelle Washburn Yeager of Cullman; a daughter, Charlotte Yeager (Gary) Reid of Cullman; three sisters, Idell (Bill) Gravette and Edna (Paul) Barnett of Vinemont and Opal Pinkard of Fairview; a brother-in-law, Pasco Cruce; two grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Hightower and Zeb Reid of Welti; and a great-grandchild, Peyton Makenzie Hightower.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Willie Mae Moore

Funeral services for Willie Mae Moore, 82, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Dr. Howard Rodgers and Chaplain Tim Kinney officiating, with Burial in Logan Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moore died Saturday, April 10, at her residence. She was born March 6, 1922, to William Edward and Elizabeth Irene Stephens Nix. She was retired from Belk's after 24 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Moore; and her parents.

Survivors include a son, Michael Moore of Cullman; a daughter, Judy M. (Leldon) Smith of Cullman; two grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) White and Jennifer DeForrest; and four great-grandchildren, Haley and Cohen White and Tommy and Stevie DeForrest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lifecare Hospice.

Visitation was Monday.

Rollin A. Gill Sr.

Funeral services for Rollin A. Gill Sr., 82, of Munice, Ind., will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Avondale United Methodist Church, with Burial in Elm Ridge Cemetery with military rites by veterans of Delaware County.

Meeks Mortuary of Muncie is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gill died Saturday, April 10, at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Munice to Ralph and Beatrice Shipley Gill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Doris Ammon; and a brother, Darrell Gill.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Gill; a son, Rollin A. (Linda) Gill Jr. of Muncie; a daughter, Marshia Durham of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren, David Rinker Jr. and Rachele Weber, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Kristin (Darrell) Beaty of Muncie; Karie (Trent) Dewees of Colunbia, Ill.; and Rillin Ty (Stacey) Gill of Gaston; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosalind Blocher (John) Casey of Cullman and Bonnie Gill-Green of Muncie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Avondale United Methodist Church, 1314 W. 10th St., Muncie, Ind. 47302.

Mary Joyce Blankenship Lyle

Funeral services for Mary Joyce Blankenship Lyle, 68, of Hartselle will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Peck Funeral Chapel, Geoff Halbrooks officiating, with Burial in New Friendship Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lyle died Saturday, April 10, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 1, 1935, in Morgan County to Parish and Lola Lott Blankenship. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Elbert Hartford Lyle; and a son, John Paul Lyle.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory Lyle and Anthony Lyle, both of Hartselle; three daughters, Diana George of Baileyton, Jean Lyle of Birmingham and Barbara Hills of Hartselle; and two sisters, Margaret Mitchell of Somerville and Helen Sanders of Blountsville.

Visitation was Monday.

Willie Vaden Swann

Funeral services for Willie Vaden Swann, 63, of Hayden will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, Larue Carraway officiating, with Burial in Garden City Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Swann died Wednesday, April 14, in Hayden. He was born in Locust Fork on Feb. 25, 1941, to Dan and Lois Morgan Swann.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Bales Swann of Hayden; two sons, Grant Swann and Jerome Swann, both of Garden City; a sister, Vonda Ray of Garden City; a brother, Tommy Swann of Hanceville; and two grandchildren, Vanessa Swann and Elijah Swann.

Visitation was Thursday.

J.C. Duncan

Funeral services for J.C. Duncan, 78, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Barbara Trussell and Jim Laney officiating, with Burial in Kemp Baptist Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Duncan died Wednesday, April 14, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 29, 1925, in Winston County to Bud and Josie Crompton Duncan. He retired from the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Harper Duncan of Hanceville; a son, Benny Knighten of Cullman; a daughter, Linda (Robert) Wilsford of Cullman; a daughter-in-law, Paula Knighten of Cullman; two brothers, D.J. Duncan of Danville and Leburn Duncan of Hartselle; five grandchildren, Brittany Willis, Tyler Willis, Austin Willis, Angie Knighten and Ginger Bicate; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday.

Rev. Drennen E. Alldredge

Funeral services for the Rev. Drennen E. Alldredge, 75, of Snead will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Bethel Baptist Church in Snead, the Revs. Bric Latham, Randy Burtram and Larry Holley officiating, with Burial in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state two hours prior to the service.

Rev. Drennen died Wednesday, April 14. He was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Blount County to Steve and Lorena Lewis Alldredge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, H.C. Alldredge; and a sister, Avio Dunn.

Survivors include his wife, Maxie LaRue Alldredge of Snead; four children, Wallace (Judy) Alldredge of Pell City, Danny (Vickie) Alldredge of Holly Pond, Charlie (Rhonda) Alldredge of Albertville and Dell (Robbie) Kimberly of Sand Rock; 11 grandchildren, Jeff (Nancy) Alldredge, Darrell (Cindy) Alldredge, Greg (Samantha) Sewell, Kim (Phil) Streety, Wesley (April) Alldredge, Stanley Alldredge, Stacey Alldredge, Christy Alldredge, Jill (Eric) Keeton, Kevin (Julie) Kimberly and Karla Kimberly; four great-grandchildren, Gage Hazelwood, Michael Alldredge, Allison Alldredge and Avery Keeton; three brothers, Tunis Alldredge of Oneonta, Dwight Alldredge of Blountsville and Ed Alldredge of Straight Mountain; and five sisters, Bea Smith, Pernie Gray, Jewell Sively, Elanor Foster and R.E. Handley, all of Blountsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bethel Baptist Church building fund, the Liberty Hill Cemetery fund or to one's favorite charity.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Raford Ardell Pigg

Funeral services for Raford Ardell Pigg, 69, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2004, at Blair Congregational Methodist Church in Vinemont, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Pigg died Wednesday, April 14, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Pigg; his parents, Bill and Luella Pigg; a brother, John Pigg; and a sister, Violet Pigg.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Pigg; two daughters, Phyllis Overton and Kay Kugler; two brothers, Rock Pigg and Paulee Pigg; three sisters, Magdalene Good, Edna Key and Wanda Laney; and six grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday.

Dezell 'Dee' Motes Taylor Kendrick

Funeral services for Dezell "Dee" Motes Taylor Kendrick, 80, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, Moss-Service Chapel, David McDonald officiating, with Burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kendrick died Thursday, April 15, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Aug, 2, 1923, in Alabama to Will and Elvie Dollar Motes. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Terrel (Donna Dale) Taylor and Franklin Garrel (Bobbie Nell) Taylor; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary York and Annell Tucker.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Henry 'Hank' Petz Jr.

Memorial graveside services for Henry "Hank" Petz Jr., 75, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Ebenezer Cemetery, Joe Cook officiating.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Petz died Friday, April 16, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born Nov. 30, 1928, to Henry Sr. and Katherine Horvath Petz. He was a retired layout man in an iron mill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Shub Petz.

Survivors include a wife, Earnestine Dean Petz; five sons, John Petz, Jeff (Linda) Petz, Whenn (Debbie) Petz, Dale (Carolyn) Petz and Ralph (Nora) Petz, all of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Holzaphel of Akron, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and neighbors at their residence.

Robert Osman Cleghorn

Funeral services for Robert Osman Cleghorn, 88, of Arley will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Liberty Baptist Church in Arley, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Cleghorn died Thursday, April 15, in Cullman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Iva Cleghorn; two brothers, Gordon Cleghorn and James Cleghorn; three sisters, Bernice Stephenson, Bertha Adams and Blanche Lyle; and a granddaughter, Paula Cleghorn.

Survivors include a son, Evan Cleghorn; a brother, Voyt Cleghorn; two sisters, Edna Barron and Ilva Hale; and three grandchildren, Glenn Cleghorn, Terinda Cleghorn and Gary Cleghorn.

Visitation was Friday.
