in DeQueen, Arkansas.
Born May 7, 1937, to Jewel Allen and Ruth Irene Logan Campbell in DeQueen, Arkansas, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on September 6, 2009 at his home in Mineola, Texas with his family by his side.
Pallbearers are: Reul Hodge, Ron Davis, Billy Terrell, Bud Pritchard, Henry Warren and Dalton Banks. Honorary Pallbearer is Wayne Miller.
Jim grew up in DeQueen, graduated from DeQueen High School in 1955, then enlisted and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jim went to work at General Electric/Trane Co. in Tyler as a Tool maker, retiring in 2000 after 41 years.
Jim married Juawiece Stephenson of Van, Texas, on June 24, 1960. They lived the majority of their lives in Tyler, then 11 years on "The Farm" in Lindale and finally Mineola. Jim's greatest pleasures were family time spent at the hunting lease, coaching Tyler Kiwanis Boys Boxing Club and hours spent in his garden and shop while enjoying his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Juawiece; children Terri Grace and husband Jim Zurowski, Beth and husband Greg Chandler, Curtis and wife Lisa Campbell; grandchildren Kelby and Cooper Campbell, Callie and Caitie Chandler; brother Bobby Campbell; sisters Christine Edwards and Kathleen Campbell; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Hiliary and Donald Campbell.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home in Lindale from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday evening.

Rafael Villa Figueroa
Mr. Rafael Villa Figueroa, age 52, a resident of De Queen, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in the Mena Medical Center, Mena.
He was born to Bernabe and Angela Villa Figueroa at Michoacan, Mexico on August 20, 1957. He was a member of the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed camping, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Esther Vargas Figueroa of De Queen, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rafael, Jr. and Zemyace Figueroa, and Brandon Figueroa all of De Queen, three daughters and a son-in-law, Diana and Raymundo Luna of De Queen, Laura Figueroa, Anna Karen Figueroa, all of De Queen, two grandchildren, Aaron and Camila Figueroa, his father, Bernabe Figueroa of De Queen, three brothers, Roberto Figueroa, Melchor Figueroa, both of De Queen, and Salomon Figueroa of Mexico City, Mexico, three sisters, Maria Buenrostro, Josefina Buenrostro, and Rosa Velazquez, all of De Queen.
Funeral Services for Mr. Rafael Figueroa will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 7, 2009 in the Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Carlton and Bro. Pete Nunez officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Emma Privitt Dockery Murray
Mrs. Emma Privitt Dockery Murray, age 86, a resident of Wickes, Arkansas died at her home on Friday, September 4, 2009. She was born to Hiram and Emmer Privitt on November 3, 1922 in Lockesburg, Arkansas.
Mrs. Dockery Murray was preceded in death by her late husband, Carl Dockery, on February 18, 1992.
Mrs. Dockery Murray raised seven children and always had time for each one individually. She dedicated her life to her home and family. She was a hard worker and loved to sing while she worked. She put everyone else first, even in the last stages of her life. She enjoyed participating in arts and crafts and bluegrass festivals with her late husband, Carl Dockery. She was an accomplished quilter and her quilts won ribbons and were sought after by many. She and Carl were married 52 years until his death in 1992.
In 1995, Emma married her childhood friend, Raymond Murray. They had an extremely loving and playful relationship together. She was the light of his life, and he of hers. They adored each other. They were as happy as newlyweds for the entirety of their marriage.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Murray of Wickes, Arkansas, four sons, Wayne Dockery and wife Joyce of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Charles Dockery of Pensacola, Florida, James Dockery and wife Mary of Clarksville, Missouri and Doyce Dockery and wife Elaine of Diana, Texas, three daughters, Helen Dockery Housey of Wickes, Arkansas, Vernois Dockery Wilson and husband Keith of Young Harris, Georgia, Nelda Dockery James and husband Mike of Wickes, Arkansas, one step-son, Steve VanWagoner and wife Donna of Green Forest, Arkansas, one step-daughter, Michaele Murray of Wayne, Oklahoma, 41 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Mike Talkington, Scott Housey, Kendall White, Glen Dockery, Dustin James, Terry Turner, Wes Turner and honoraries, Adam Dockery and Lee Dockery.
Funeral services will be held at the Wickes Church of the Nazarene on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Leon McCleskey and Alvin Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Daniel Cemetery
in Wickes under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
Delphia Laverne Hickman Sweeten
Mrs. Delphia Laverne Hickman Sweeten, age 74, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born August 25, 1935 in Fanshaw, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
Mrs. Sweeten was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Sweeten in 1998; one daughter, Donna Sweeten in 1962; her father, Thomas Hickman; and two sisters, Ruth O'Neal and Bonnie Hutcherson.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Donna Sweeten of De Queen, Mike and Kammie Sweeten of Mena and Brice and Kim Sweeten of Hatfield; a step-daughter, Laverne Zymanski of St. George, Utah; her mother, Bertha Bost Hickman of Richmond, Missouri; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dortha "Bitty" and Alfred Wilson of Richmond, Missouri, Themla "Bobbie" and Danny Johnson of Kingsville, Texas and Edna Heath of Seagraves, Texas; two brothers, Johnny Hickman of Reserve, New Mexico and Donald Hickman of Alamagordo, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Charlotte Alviter.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Sweeten will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009 in the Six Mile Cemetery
near Hatfield, Arkansas, with James McRae, minister officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Jeremy Lynn Frachiseur
Mr. Jeremy Lynn Frachiseur, age 30, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009, from injuries received in a 18 wheeler wreck near Washington, Ark.
He was born to Randy and Linda Morris Frachiseur at De Queen, Arkansas, on April 23, 1979. He was a 1998 graduate of De Queen High School, and attended SAU. He was an employee of Pilgrim’s Pride, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hatfield. He was a 4-H leader in the Lakeside 4-H, vice president of the 4-H Leaders Organization, was involved in the Sevier County Fair, a member of the Sevier County Cattlemen, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping young people.
He is survived by his wife, Katrina Walston Frachiseur of De Queen, two sons, Hunter and Brayden Frachiseur, a daughter, Raegan Frachiseur of De Queen, His parents, Randy and Linda Frachiseur of De Queen, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kevin Frachiseur of De Queen, Brandon and Kimber Frachiseur of Horatio, his grandparents, Abe and Leona Frachiseur of Grannis, and Raymond and Wilma Morris of De Queen. Jeremy is also survived by his wife’s parents, Joe and Sharon Walston of Hatfield, a brother-in-law, Kurtis Walston of Hatfield, Arkansas, a sister-in-law, Kayla and her husband, James Mirus of Mulberry, Ark.; nephews, Landon, and Evin, nieces, Attalee and Brenlei, as well as other family Members.
Funeral services for Mr. Jeremy Frachiseur will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2009, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Homer Frachiseur and Roger Neeley officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery, Grannis, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Loy Washington Brewer
Loy Washington Brewer, 91, of Rogers, Arkansas died August 31, 2009 at Circle of Life in Springdale. He was born September 3, 1917 in rural Benton County east of Rogers near Prairie Creek and his beloved White River. He was the son of George W. and Josephine Moon Brewer.
A 1936 graduate of Rogers High School, Mr. Brewer attended Fayetteville Business College before serving in the U.S. Army’s Pacific Theatre in World War II from 1942 to 1945. Following basic training in Camp Roberts, California, Mr. Brewer was sent first to Hawaii, then to Australia before seeing action in the New Guinea campaign and the invasion of the Philippines. Mr. Brewer was discharged from the Army in November 1945 with the rank of technical sergeant.
In 1950, Mr. Brewer began a 30-year career with the Postal Service as a letter carrier – the first 25 years as a city carrier in Rogers and the last five as a rural carrier.
Mr. Brewer was an avid fisherman and hunter, a skilled carpenter and mechanic, and built custom hand-made fishing rods as a hobby. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent, deacon, elder, and chairman of the church board. He was also a longtime member of The Disciples Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Iris Jean Adams Brewer, three children — Teresa Mallette of DeQueen and her husband, Allen; James Loy Brewer of Monticello and his wife, Susan; and John Warren Brewer and his wife, Kelli — and four grandchildren — Kirk Mallette of Bozeman, Montana and his wife, Natasha; Lance Mallette of Fayetteville, Doug Brewer of Fayetteville, and Lauren Brewer of Monticello; and a sister, Izella Morris of Kosciusko, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charley G. Brewer, and a sister, Zelda.
A celebration of Mr. Brewer’s life will be held Thursday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church. The family will greet visitors in the church narthex following the service.
Memorials may be made to the music ministry of the First Christian Church located at 13th and Oak Street, Rogers, AR.
Joshua Carter "Josh" Wright
Joshua Carter “Josh” Wright, 22 of Eagletown, OK, was born July 16, 1987 in Idabel, OK to Jamie Wright and Samantha Noin.
He was preceded in death by his father, great-grandfathers, James Carter Wright and Gene Bates, great-grandmother Genara Noin, great-great-grandmother Josie Joiner and one uncle Maxwell Curtis Noin.
Josh was a student at the Tulsa Welding School. While in high school he enjoyed showing animals and had received the Grand Champion Steer Award. He also was involved in forestry judging contests and had received a state degree in F.F.A. Josh liked horseback riding, golfing, hunting and helping others. Most of all he loved his family and was a lover of life.
Josh is survived by his mother, Samantha Noin (Tipton); one sister Lakesha Wright and one brother Christopher Wright and wife Kim; grandparents, Clovis and Johnnie Ray Wright and grandmother, Jeanie Bates all of Eagletown, OK; grandparents, Sam Noin and wife Carolyn, San Antonio, TX and great-grandmother, Lavern (Granny Hoot) Bates, Eagletown, OK; uncles, Michael Noin and wife, Malinda, Justin Noin and wife, Meagan, and Johnny Wright and wife, Janeice; aunts, Linda Noin Blackburn, RaJohnia Tollett and husband, Jimmie, Judy Joiner and husband, Kenny and Tammy Tabler and husband, Randall; four nieces, Isabella and Cloey Ann Burcham, and Madi and Breanna; cousins, Crystal Tillman, Jennifer Goss, Clayton Noin, Sammy Aaron, April Joiner, Kendra Joiner, Gerald Brittain, Krystal McClendon, Kennedee Brittain, Mikey Wright, Jamie, Kristen and Andrea Wright, Lane and Braden Tabler, Jason Tollett, and Jennifer Graves; lifelong friends, Eugene Rios, Daniel Lamphier and Columbus Black; a large extended family and a host of friends.

J. D. Jones
Mr. J. D. Jones, age 76, a resident of Dierks, Ark., and former resident of De Queen, died Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Baptist Medical Center, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born to Sam Paul Jones and Maudie Lorene Best Jones at Gillham, Arkansas, on October 24, 1932. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired route salesman for Ideal Bakery Company, with 23 years service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillham, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Maxine Veal, and his step-father, Jess Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Nell Bearden Jones of Dierks, two step-sons, Robbie, and his wife, Kelly Miller and David, and his wife, Stephanie Miller all of Dierks, a step-daughter, Phyllis and her husband, Larry Edwards of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Bobby Ray, and Doris and Sammy Mickle all of De Queen, AR, a sister-in-law, Juanita Bearden of Dierks, Ark., eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three nephews, one niece, two great-nephews, and one great-niece.

Burial will follow in the Gillham Cemetery, Gillham, Ark., under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Helen Dale Whitaker Vick
Mrs. Helen Dale Whitaker Vick, age 71, a resident of Horatio, died Sunday, at her home.
She was born to Hershel Ernest and Mary Mae Bozarth Whitaker at Cement, Oklahoma, on May 8, 1938. She was a medical transcriptionist for McCurtian Memorial Hospital, Idabel, as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed genealogy, computer graphics, painting, gardening, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Billy Joe Vick, a son, Glenn Dean Vick, siblings, Hershel Whitaker, Jr., Wanda Joy Henry, Patricia Gaylord, Ella Joyce Spriggs, Ruth Kellums, Jean Stephens, Mary Mae Leatherman, and Nancy Rans.
She is survived by a son, Mark Eugene Vick of De Queen, two daughters and a son-in-law, Jo Beth McCormack of Horatio, and Cheryle Lynne and Woodson Barringer of Fort Worth, Texas, nine grandchildren, Christopher, Mark, Rebekah, Eli, Bill, Amanda, Sarah, Danielle, and Tory, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, John Whitaker of Horatio, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Services for Mrs. Helen Vick will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 27th with Rev. Coy Arnold officiating. Cremation under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.
Henry Wallace Taylor
Mr. Henry Wallace Taylor, age 86, a resident of De Queen, AR died Sunday, August 23, 2009 in De Queen.
He was born June 18, 1923 in Sevier Co., Arkansas. He was retired from D.& E. Railroad and was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Bartlett and Rachel Rounsaville Taylor, his wife, Burnis Leona Stubbs Taylor in 2003, two sons, Bobby Wayne Taylor and Jr. Taylor; and three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Marilyn Taylor and Archie and Betty Taylor, all of De Queen; one sister, Winona Skelton of De Queen; and four grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Zack Taylor, Daniel Newbold and Jennifer Peel.
Funeral Services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel wit Rev. Charles Hebert officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2009 at the funeral home.
