Danny Allan Crow
Mr. Danny Allan Crow, age 58, a resident of Ashdown, formerly of Lockesburg, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Crow was born December 7, 1952 in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was a member and a deacon of the Old Time Gospel Church in Lockesburg for twenty-nine years where he was the former youth minister and pastor. He and his wife were involved with prison ministries and he was the owner and manager of Crow Aggregates Sand and Gravel.
Mr. Crow was preceded in death by his mother, Etta L. Bowman KlaVohn; one brother, Ronnie Crow and one sister Colleen Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Farmer Crow of Lockesburg; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Durinda and Ben Hutson of Ashdown, Mandy and John Hudson of Lockesburg and Chasity Walker and fiancé Taylor Carver of Lockesburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Crystal Curtis of Silsbee, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Judy Bowman of Texarkana, Arkansas and Randy and Trish Crow of De Queen; four sisters, Shelia Martz of Stigler, Oklahoma, LaBetha Leeper of Nashville, Arkansas, Cherly Beck of Salem, Oregon, Monnie Moore and Susie Fugate both of Sutherlin, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Cody Purcell, Breona Hutson, Eden Hutson, Jacob Hudson, Samantha Hudson and Kevin Walker all of Lockesburg and Brittany Curtis, Chase Curtis and Tyler Curtis all of Silsbee, Texas and many more family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Crow will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Jerrel Helms and Bobby Frank McKellar officiating. Burial will follow in the McHorse Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15th at the funeral home.
Dorothy Marie Boyles Johnson
Mrs. Dorothy Marie Boyles Johnson, age 100, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Brookewood Nursing Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 16, 1910 in De Queen. She was an employee of Guys Potato Chip Inc. and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church in De Queen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert and a brother, Reuben Boyles.
She is survived by a special daughter, Floy Bennett Armstrong and her husband, Brian Armstrong; two special nephews, Trent and James Boyles of Muskegon Heights, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Mary Johnson of Louisiana and a host of cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery
under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Diane T. Churchman Airhart
Mrs. Diane T. Churchman Airhart, age 56, a resident of West Monroe, Louisiana died Saturday, September 10, 2011 in West Monroe.
She was born June 1, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. She enjoyed painting; she was an LPN and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Walls Churchman.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Airhart of West Monroe; her father, Paul Churchman of Forest, Mississippi; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Steven and Christy Churchman of Madison, Mississippi, and a niece, Gracie. two aunts, Enola Wagnon and Jo Ann Jarrell both of De Queen.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Airhart will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Redmen Cemetery
with Rev. Rusty Ross officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Donnie Ray Griffin
Donnie Ray Griffin, 52, of Durant passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 in Durant.
Donnie was born October 5, 1948 in Paul's valley, Ok to Milner and Hazel Griffith.
He was raised in Arkansas but has been a Durant resident for the past 17 years. Donnie worked as a truck driver and was a handy man for Johnny Keithley. He was of the Baptist faith and loved fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Ruth Phelps.
Donnie is survived by four sisters Betty Buchanan and husband Carl of Caddo, Ok Louise Alexander of Horatio, Ar. Joyce Kimmel of Mt. Pleasant, Tx and Martha Worthen of Copperas Cove, Tx. girlfriend Mary Kirkhart of Durant, Ok and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.
Funeral Services will held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday September 13, 2011 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be at 11:00am Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at West Otis Cemetery
in Horatio, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service Durant.
Royalene Jester
Mrs. Royalene Jester, age 80, a resident of Lockesburg, AR, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 in the De Queen Medical Center.
She was born June 8, 1931 in Lockesburg to Bishop and Jenny Bell Corley Jester. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lighthouse Church in Lockesburg.
Mrs. Jester was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burlon Young; two daughters, Nona Jean and Barbara Ann Coleman; one son Sammy Jester; five brothers, Merril, Frank, Herschel, Clarance and Howard Jester.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Ronnie King of Lockesburg; one son, C.L. Young of Brownstown, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Bill Truly of Lockesburg; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Cecil Jester of Hope, AR and Robbie and Verlene Jester of Lockesburg; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Jester will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2011 in the Lighthouse Church with Rev. Buster Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleville Cemetery
under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

James Daryl Wolcott
Mr. James Daryl Wolcott, age 60, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his home.
He was born August 10, 1951 in Pendleton, Oregon. He was a carpenter, worked in maintenance at the Sevier County Courthouse and was a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Mr. Wolcott is survived by his parents, Charlie and Marvell Lambeth Wolcott of Horatio; one brother, John Wolcott of Hope, Arkansas; two nieces, Jenni Massengill of Edmond, Oklahoma and Johnna Quinn of Hope.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Wolcott will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2011 in the Beacon Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
Vida Illene Pettigrew Traywick
Mrs. Vida Illene Pettigrew Traywick, age 95, a resident of Ferriday, Louisiana and a former resident of Horatio, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 4, 2011, in Ferriday.
She was born December 1, 1915, in Horatio, Arkansas. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Ethel Millwee Pettigrew; her husband, Eueal Traywick; two sons, Roger Traywick and Gary Wayne Traywick; one grandson, James Traywick and two sons-in-law, Billy Wiggins and Gary Arnold.
She is survived by two daughters, Marge Arnold of Wisner, Louisiana and Carolyn Wiggins of Ferriday, Louisiana; a sister, Earlene Winkfein of Sulpher Springs, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Patsy Traywick of Stamps, Arkansas and Lillian Traywick of Adkins, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Traywick will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Thomas Peoples officiating and her great granddaughter Lacie Canizares will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the funeral home.
Gwinn “Marvella” Roan
Gwinn “ Marvella” Roan, age 65, of Wickes, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 03, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born on November 17, 1946 in Vandervoort, Arkansas to English Woodrow Baker and Alma Hazel Cornelius Baker. She was married to Cecil “ Bear” Roan on January 25, 1977. Marvella loved art, crafts, cooking, sewing, and volunteering at the Senior Center, but her family always came first. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 07, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Nazarene Church in Cove with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery
in Cove under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
Visitation will be at the Roan residence, 150 Polk 6, Wickes, Arkansas 870-385-7305, Monday September 05, 2011 and Tuesday, September 06, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Clay Davis, Ty Beckwith, Tim Harwood, Jimmy Henson, Jerry Roan, and DeWayne Baker.
