Reedy Buzbee
Reedy M. Buzbee, 81, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was the founder of Better Homes Inc. in Fort Smith, was recipient of the Realtor of the Year Award in 1966, and was a Realtor with Donoho and Sons. He had served as chairman of Arkansas Real Estate Commission, president of the Fort Smith Board of Realtors, president of the Optimist Club, chairman of the Arkansas/Oklahoma Rodeo Association, and as manager and performer in the Arkansas and Oklahoma Quadrille. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, chief in the Navy and had attended Henderson College.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances; two sons, Robert of Austin, Texas, and Richard of Davis, Calif.; one sister, Wanda Brian of Weatherford, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Maurer, Bob Bradford, Paul Walker, Haward Berry, Leo Faulkner and Earnest Westfall.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Fort Smith Board of Realtors.
Kathryn Grossman
MENA -- Kathryn Grossman, 82, of Mena died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in a Mena hospital. She was a Methodist, a secretary and the widow of Harold Grossman.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Mena under the direction of Hall Funeral Service of Mena.
She is survived by one sister, Julia Washburn of Mena; and several nieces and nephews.
Carl Hixson
MULDROW -- Carl Merle Hixson, 95, of Muldrow died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in Fort Smith. He was retired from DeSoto-Ward Furniture Factory as a furniture pattern maker. A charter member of the Church of Nazarene in Muldrow, he was a former Sunday school superintendent, served on the church board and as treasurer, and sang in the church choir and quartet. He was the widower of Zelma Eula Jackson Hixson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by two daughters, Myrl Fargo of Muldrow and Atha Johnson of Fort Smith; two brothers, Everett of Tahlequah, Okla., and Waydron of Fort Smith; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lona Lou Wisely
OWASSO, Okla. -- Lona Lou Wisely, 66, of Owasso, Okla., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, in her home. She was a retired employee with fleet service with American Airlines, a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa and was the widow of Harold Gene Wisely.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. today at Hall cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
She is survived by one daughter, Lona Jean Hodges of Chelsea, Okla.; two sons, David and Steve both of Collinsville, Okla.; six sisters, Lena Johnson of Benton City, Marie Smith and Ella Ross both of Van Buren, Velma Lee Elrick of Oklahoma City, Lizzie Jackson of Siloam Springs and Ruby Hatton of Visalia, Calif.; four brothers, T.J. Brown, Arlie Brown, Billy Brown and Jimmy Brown, all of Natural Dam; and seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Erica, Stacie, Lee Ann, Lindsey, Cecilia and Johnny.
Pallbearers will be Woodrow Hankins, Blake Lindle, Ralph Parker, Eric Shannon, Ron Mixer and Lindell Watson.
Pearl Dunn
Pearl Arnold Dunn, 92, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Westark Church of Christ, Order of Eastern Star, Army Mothers of World War II, American Red Cross in World War II, and served as a hostess for the Clayton House.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters Bettie Seaman Kelly of Fayetteville, Ga., and Gladys Seaman Beam of Fort Smith; two stepsons, James B. Dunn of Covington, Ga., and John H. Dunn of Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nine stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

CHARLESTON -- John O. Corbin, 60, of Charleston died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in his home. He was a member of the Charleston Methodist Church, was president of Little Creek Country Club, president of Arkansas State Graders, and was employed for the USDA as a grader. He was a member of John Corbin and the Sundowners Band.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Charleston United Methodist Church with burial at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.

BOONEVILLE -- Doris Wayne McEntire, 71, of Booneville died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in Booneville. He was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church, a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Army reserves. He was the recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Occupation Ribbon, Victory Ribbon for Japan, two overseas service bars and was a military qualifications rifle sharpshooter.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with burial with full military honors by VFW District Seven burial detail at Carolan cemetery in Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; one daughter, Debra V. Young of Booneville; four sons, Marty T. McEntire, Monty M. McEntire, James E. Wigley and James Anthony McEntire, all of Booneville; one sister, Dessie Mae Crain of Waldron; and one grandson, Dakota McEntire of Booneville.

TALIHINA, Okla. -- Lloyd George Seratt, 80, of Talihina, Okla., formerly of Muldrow, died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, in Talihina. He was a laborer, an Army veteran of World War II, of the protestant faith, and was the widower of Emily Seratt.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Agent Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Seabolt cemetery near Muldrow.
He is survived by one sister, Elsie Walters of Muldrow; one brother, Lowell of California; and several nieces and nephews.

RUSSELLVILLE -- Charles William Loveless, 80, of Russellville, formerly of Ozark, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in Fort Smith. He was a retired grocery store owner, a merchant seaman, and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Highland cemetery in Ozark.

Armond McBride
ALMA -- Armond Allen "Mac" McBride, 63, of Alma died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in a local hospital. He was the owner and operator of TOMAC NDT Service Inc. in Garden Grove, Calif., for 20 years. He was a Navy veteran and a former employee of Chevron Oil Corp.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. Saturday in Ocker Funeral Home Chapel of Alma with cremains burial at Lake Village cemetery in Lake Village.
He is survived by his wife, Tressa; one daughter, Lisha Nelson of San Diego; two stepdaughters, Jina Serra of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Lisa Walsh of Garden Grove, Calif.; one son, Tom of Orange, Calif.; two brothers, Ray of Lake Village and Clyde of Oak Grove, La.; and five grandchildren, Anthony and Michael Rodriquez, Shauna McBride, Samantha Walsh and Tommy McBride.

BOKOSHE -- Clarence Earl Norris, 80, of Bokoshe died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a World War II Army veteran and received the American Theater Service Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Service Star and Good Conduct Medal. He was also an Air Force veteran and received Korean Service Medal for Humane Action, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, GCD Medal, WWII Victory Medal, American Theater Campaign Medal, AP Campaign Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and Philippine Independence Ribbon. He was retired from Department of Human Services with the State of Oklahoma.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Manor Chapel Funeral Home of Poteau with burial at Old Bokoshe cemetery in Bokoshe.
He is survived by his wife, Euna Lee; one daughter, Carol Ann Calhoun of Bokoshe; one son, Steve Alan Norris of Tulsa; two sisters, Erma C. Baskett and Norma Jean Talmadge both of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Pocola United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star and Worthy Matron, Bonanza Chapter. She was the widow of Lloyd Williams.
