CLARKSVILLE — Vera Rebecca Hudson Hart Williams, 90, of Clarksville died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in Clarksville. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Woodland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Linda Beckett
GREENWOOD — Linda Gayle Beckett, 53, of Greenwood died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in her home. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Roberts Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Booneville with burial at Corley cemetery in Paris.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin; and one sister, Annette Miller of Topeka, Kan.

Fannie Davis
EL PASO, Texas — Fannie Marie Davis, 82, of El Paso, Texas died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001. She was born in Dayton, Ark., in 1918 and was a beautician.
Funeral services were private and the body was cremated under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of El Paso.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue Cox of El Paso, Texas, Donna Thomas of Rio Vista, Texas, and Margo Cisco of Rio Rancho, N.M.; three sisters, Alva Hanna of Fort Smith, Vala Jo Critas of Huntington and Grace Hall of Michigan; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and friend, Bill Kryzak.

Mildred Tanner
DALLASTOWN, Pa. — Mildred Tanner, 88, of Dallastown, Pa., formerly of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in Dallastown, Pa. She was a homemaker and former member of Old Fort Museum and the Fort Smith Art Center and Sparks Auxiliary and Sparks Auxiliary Volunteer, a member of Harmony Chapter No. 544, Order of the Eastern Star and the United Commercial Travelers Ladies Club. She was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and past vice president of the United Methodist Women.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Ardison of York, Pa.; two brothers, Philip W. Fry Jr. and Richard L. Fry, both of Fort Smith; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cullen, Philip and Richard Fry, David Brotherton, Gary and Matthew Ardison.
The family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home,

Lillian Daniel
Lillian Nichols Daniel, 95, of Fort Smith died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and retired public school teacher with the Oklahoma Public School system. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women’s Circle Deborah and was the widow of Leon Ross Daniel Sr.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Tahlequah City cemetery in Tahlequah under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Woods of Fort Smith; one niece, Jean Morris Tarver of Lynden, Wash.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Donald Monks
MCCURTAIN, Okla. — Donald H. Monks, 66, of McCurtain died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was the widower of Etta Mae Monks.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Church of Christ in McCurtain with burial at Milton cemetery in McCurtain under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; two daughters, Tammy Davis and Sandi Monks; two sons, Rick and Jeffery Monks; one sister, Linda Myers; one brother, Mickey Monks; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Leonard, Larry and Chris Monks, Kenny Hart, Bart Byrum and Kenneth Gabbard.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 6440 S. Lewis, Suite 100, Tulsa, OK 74136 in memory of Donald and Etta Mae Monks.

Darlene Ball Allen
ALMA — Mary “Darlene Ball” Allen, 62, of Alma died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in a local hospital. She was a cashier at J and J Restaurant in Alma, a member of Eastern Star Remy Lodge No. 260 in Mulberry and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday in Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial of cremains at Love cemetery in Alma.
She is survived by one daughter, Melinda Ball of Alma; two sons, Quinton Ball of Springfield, Mo. and Clinton Ball of Hackett; two sisters, Barbara Flickenschild of Claremore, Okla. and Roxann Rodgers of Roland; three brothers, Don Qualls of Lavaca, Paul Jerry Qualls of Leesburg, Fla. and Eldon Qualls of Choctaw, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew, Adam, Arin, Amanda, Megan and Shane Ball.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Billy Crouch
BOONEVILLE — Billy Joseph Crouch, 44, of Booneville died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was born Sept. 24, 1956, in Pocahontas. He was a landscaper and a Navy SeaBee NMCB28 of Bartsdale, Air Force Base in Shreveport, La., and a member of Booneville Christian Center.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Mount View cemetery in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Molly, one daughter, Tabatha Lee Ketner of Houston; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Stone and Emily Anderson, both of Booneville; one son, Stonie J. Crouch of Holton, Kan.; one stepson, Ian Anderson of Booneville; his parents, Joe and Genell Crouch of Ozark and Betty Johnson of Ozark; his grandfather, Stonie Crouch of Ozark; two sisters, Kathy Nichols and LaTonna Williams, both of Ozark; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Vernon Williams, Albert, Joe and Raymond Nichols, Matthew Young and Danny Crouch.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Retha McCann
POTEAU — Retha Gipson Barnes McCann, 75, of Poteau died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, in Poteau. She was born March 4, 1926, in Central. She was a retired cosmetologist, attended Norris Baptist Church and was the widow of Oscar “Dick” Barnes and J.C. McCann.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Grace Manor Funeral Home Chapel in Poteau with burial at Oakland cemetery in Poteau.
She is survived by two daughters, DiAnn Adkins of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Shirley Dennis Koeninger of Maysville, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Jenna Huggins of Caddo, Okla.; one son, Donald J. Barnes of Poteau; one sister, Arlena Winters of Roland; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jay, Bill and Cleave Gipson, Johnny Horton, Troy Francis and Coopy White.

John W. Lonsbury
John W. Lonsbury was born June 8, 1937, in the Bond Special Community in Crawford County, to George and Bessie Lonsbury. He died March 12, 2001, at age 63, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He attended Van Buren schools through high school. He joined the United States Navy at age 18. He served on nuclear submarines for much of his 20 years service and retired with the rank of master chief. He was married to Mary Jean Evangelisto of Pittsfield, Mass., Aug. 3, 1961. He was a general building contractor in Monument, Colo. after retirement, and for the last several years before his death was facilities manager at Pike’s Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Lonsbury, a son, John Lonsbury. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Marc; a daughter, Lynn Cann, and granddaughters, Ashley and Cassandra Cann, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his mother, Bessie Lonsbury of Van Buren; four sisters, Wilma Rogers of Van Buren, Barbara Hutcheson of Fort Smith, Helen McIntyre of Farmers Branch, Texas and Margie Clinkenbeard of Waukesha, Wis.; a brother, George Lonsbury of Orofino, Idaho.
Funeral was March 16, 2001, in Circle Drive Baptist Church and burial at Evergreen cemetery, both in Colorado Springs, Colo. Memorial contributions may be made to Oncology Clinic, Memorial Hospital, 1400 E. Boulder St., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

Rev. William Reed
HOWE — The Rev. William Haskell Reed, 93, of Howe died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Poteau. He was born Dec. 28, 1907, in Monore. He was a retired minister and farmer. He was a Baptist minister for over 60 years, pastor at Springhill Baptist Church for 30 years and a member of Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today in Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe with burial at Monroe cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Melba Carter of Harrah and Kathryn Crouch of Monroe; a son, Sonny Reed of Monroe; three sisters, Bernice Riggs of Monroe, Lilly Mae Dykeheusen of Modesto, Calif., and Ora Melton of Depew; a brother, Eugene Reed of Monroe; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Harold Gray
SUBIACO — Harold LeRoy Gray, 83, of Subiaco died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was a graduate of College of Ozarks in Clarksville, a veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Chevron with 37 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Miss.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Ellsworth cemetery in Midway.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Faye; a son, Gary Michael Gray of Subiaco; a brother, Roy L. Gray of Grand Bay, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Harry John Fox, Alvin Trusty, W.C. “Dub” Hamilton, Jim Scurdder, Larry Parsons and Charles Mosley.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jimmy Doss
KEOTA — Jimmy Doss, 43, of Keota died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Helena. He attended Keota and Porum High Schools.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Iron Bridge cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, June; his parents, James Doss and Mamie Johnson; three sisters, Angie Stroud, Kristy Doss and Kelly Barton; three nieces and a nephew.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Doss, Harold Mack Farmer, Terry Warren, Mike Hood, Mike Coble and Larry Joe Bryce.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Juanita Walker
Juanita Acuff Walker, 90, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a former bookkeeper for Walker Livestock Inc., a former teacher and girl’s basketball coach at Scranton Public Schools, a member of Contract Bridge League and a Methodist. She was the widow of Buddie Walker.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Walker Hogan and Sally Yandell, both of Fort Smith; a brother, Cannon Acuff of Meeker; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Nursing Home, 1915 S. 74th St., Fort Smith, AR 72903 or First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, Box 56, Mansfield, AR 72944.

Mary Pair
Mary Pair, 95, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the widow of Roy Pair.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by three daughters, Pat Post and Judy Starkey, both of Fort Smith and Phyllis Enos of Rogers; two sons, Gayl Pair of Seminole and Bill Pair of Reno, Nev.; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Greg and Chris Post, David Dearinger, Lawson and Adam Pair, Don Enos and Nathan Spear.
Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
