SALLISAW — Frank Ross, 34, of Sallisaw died Friday, April 11, 2003, in Van Buren. He was a 1986 graduate of Sallisaw High School, a veteran of Desert Storm and a bridge welder.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fleetwood cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Kim Ross of Cedarville; a sister, Laura Kuykendall of Sallisaw; and a brother, Jerry Ross of Spiro.
Ulysses King
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Ulysses Allison “Al” King, 85, of Tahlequah, Okla., died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Tahlequah. He was a former educator at Vian Schools, where he taught math at the junior high and high school levels most of his career. He was an Army veteran of World War II, attended Connors State College at Warner, Okla., and graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Garden of Memories cemetery in Vian.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; a daughter, Frankie Bennett of Davis, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Clarence Durham
SALLISAW — Clarence William “Sebo” Durham, 79, of Sallisaw died Sunday, April 13, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a tool and chemical salesman, a former postal clerk, an Air Force veteran of World War II, a Protestant and the widower of Alice Durham.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Akins Assembly of God with burial at Akins cemetery northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by two daughters, Pat Givens of Gallatin, Tenn., and Shirley Jackson of Sallisaw; a son, Lee Durham of Gallatin; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Travis Miller
LAMAR — The Rev. Travis Allen Miller, 76, of Lamar died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from Bibler Lumber and was a member of Holman Freewill Baptist Church, a school bus driver for Lamar Schools and a minister.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holman Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Holman cemetery in Lamar under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters, Janice Ritchie of Fort Smith and Sandra Willis of Clarksville; a son, Billy Miller of Lamar; a sister, Ella Jones of Crescent, Okla.; a brother, Loy Dean Miller of Lamar; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Featherston, Roger Bates, Glenn Crotts, Bobby Joe Wilkins, Kenneth Turner, James Daniel and Johnny Handley.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Katherine Goldtrap
Katherine Marie Goldtrap, 91, of Fort Smith died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at a Fort Smith hospital. She was born June 27, 1911, in Kindred, N.D. She studied domestic science at North Dakota Agricultural College in Fargo, N.C. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in home economics in 1934, where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the widow of Arthur Curtis Goldtrap, who opened the Acee Milk Co. with his father in 1937.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Katy Ann Myles of Denver; a son, Arthur Curtis Goldtrap Jr. of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

OZARK — Ron Cumming, 68, of Ozark died Thursday, April 10, 2003, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a self-employed business owner.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Highland cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
He is survived by two daughters, Laurie Hyde of Mabelton, Ga., and Kari Coody of Ozark; two sons, Bill Mullen of Ozark and Michael Cumming of Little Rock; a brother, Lee Cumming of San Francisco; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Gilbreth, Darren and Jay Alston, Steve Humphries, Bronson Ruston and Zachery Mullen.

COAL HILL — Raymond E. Corbishley, 71, of Coal Hill died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in an area hospital. He was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Russellville. He was a retired wood worker and formerly lived in Little Rock for several years. He was the widower of Betty Corbishley.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodland cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
He is survived by four daughters, Jan Head of Little Rock, Carol Warren of Clarksville, Billie Jean Crandell of Fort Smith and Charlene Johnson of Bryant; two sons, Ray Corbishley of Little Rock and James Corbishley of Coal Hill; three sisters, Beatrice Stenson of Mabelvale, Audrey Broderick of Russellville and Charlene Nabisco of Carlsbad, N.M.; a brother, Joe Corbishley of Cabot; and six grandchildren.

Sarah B. Lowe, 87, of Natural Dam died Friday, April 11, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was a retired furniture company employee, a homemaker and the widow of E.B. Lowe. She was preceded in death by a son, Sonny Lowe; and a daughter, Carol J. Lowe.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Assembly of God in Natural Dam with burial at Dam Hall cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Brown of Natural Dam; two sons, Buddy Lowe of Fort Smith and Steve Lowe of Tyler, Texas; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy Shook
Dorothy Shook, 79, of Fort Smith died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in a local nursing home. She was retired from OK Foods and a member of Spradling Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Davidson of Van Buren; a son, Michael Shook of Fort Smith; a sister, Ruth Simmons of Alma; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Loyd Summerhill
The Rev. Loyd Summerhill, 79, of Van Buren passed from this walk of like and went to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 12, 2003. He was born June 7, 1923, in Short, Okla. He was a lifelong resident of Crawford County. He was a retired supervisor for Klein Tool. He was an ordained Freewill Baptist minister (October 1955), pastoring several area churches in Arkansas in Oklahoma over a span of 47 years. He was instrumental in helping establish several churches and acted on the leadership of God to begin a new work, Vista Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D.D. and Malinda Summerhill; his wife of 40 years, Hilma Summerhill; a twin sister, Lois Summerhill; a brother, Fay Summerhill; and a sister, Ina Syrock.
He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; a daughter, Bonnie and her husband Jerry Sebo of Spiro; three sons, Paul and his wife Dellana, Kenneth and his wife Michelle and David and his wife Carolyn, all of Van Buren; a stepdaughter, Leanne and her husband Thomas Ballard of Bartlesville, Okla.; a stepson, Scott Breeden and his wife Kathy of Van Buren; five sisters, Letha Belk of Perryville, Quixie Patterson of Fort Smith, Velma Melancon of Laffayette, La., Emma Lou Pendergrass of Muldrow and Verna Mae White of Muldrow; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Vista Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Allison cemetery in Sequoyah County.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Sebo, Jeremi, Chad and Matthew Summerhill, Jeremy Ransom and Jonathan Ballard and nephews Ivan and Dewaine Summerhill.
Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow ministers, Crawford County Rehab Center staff, Leslie Lowery Bob Bryant and Boyd Stout.

Dorothy Jordan, 75, of Fern died Friday, April 11, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Fern Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Jordan; and her parents, Clinton and Clarissa Davis.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Fern Assembly of God with burial at Brewer cemetery in Fern under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry. Officiating will be the Revs. Buddy Johnson and Andy Johnson.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudette Morse of Van Buren and Deleca Bowen of Cameron; three sons, George and Wade Jordan, both of Mulberry, and Phillip Jordan of Fern; two sisters, Ruby Overby of Fern and Betty Huggins of Mulberry; three brothers, Buster and Earl Davis, both of Fern, and Curtis Davis of the White Rock community; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joseph “J.C.” Conrad Cote II
Joseph “J.C.” Conrad Cote II, 55, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Fort Smith. He worked in human resources for National Transit Service and was past president and a member of the Fort Smith Transportation Club, district director of SHRM for the state of Arkansas, past president of SHRMWA, a member of East Side Baptist Church and a Navy veteran of the Vietname War.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. Rosary service will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meierhoffer Family Funeral Service Chapel in St. Joseph, Mo., with visitation following until 8 p.m. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mount Auburn cemetery in St. Joseph, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter, Crissy Cote of Dallas; a son, Joseph “Jay” Conrad Cote III of Fayetteville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Conrad Cote of St. Joseph, Mo.; a sister, Vicki Ortman of St. Joseph, Mo.; and two brothers, Dana Cote of Conroe, Texas, and Eric Cote of Springfield, Mo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stella Mae Cote.

Wyneta Southerland, 73, of Muldrow died Friday, April 11, 2003, in her home. She was a retired secretary at Gans School, the widow of Albert Southerland Jr. and a member of First Baptist Church in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Muldrow with burial at Memory Gardens cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and Wayne Cowan of Roland and Angela Southerland of Fayetteville; four sons and daughters-in-law, George and Debbie Southerland and Roger and Vicki Southerland, all of Muldrow, Bobby and Cathy Southerland of Roland and David and Theresa Southerland of Tahlequah; three sisters, Geneva Eddingfield of Cookson, Okla., Joyce Speer of Afton, Okla., and Bobbie Schmitz of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Clinton, Glen, Jack and Jim Branham, all of Sallisaw; 14 grandchildren, Daniel, Monica, Jeremy, Nicholas, Jennifer, Justin, Houston and Jordan Southerland, Cynthia and Larry Ulmer, Kevin and Amber Cowan, Michael and Elaine Williams and Nicole and Blake Hattabaugh; nine great-grandchildren, Sebastien Southerland, Nathan Ulmer, Maliah Limon Hattabaugh, Justin and Tyler Hattabaugh and Dakota and Jarren Williams.

Audine Cantwell
Audine Cantwell, 81, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Muldrow. She was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Lamar, Colo., the daughter of Ralph and Lucille Cox. The Cox family moved to Fort Smith in the 1920s. She was a graduate of Fort Smith High School, Class of 1939, and married
her high school sweetheart Archie “Buddy” Cantwell on March 17, 1940, in Fort Smith. She had numerous hobbies including the crossword puzzles of The New York Times, which she did in ink. She also enjoyed gardening and crafts. Throughout her life, she attended the First United Methodist Church in Barling. She also was a member of United Methodist Women and the Sebastian County Extension Homemakers Club.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Barling cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty Fulbright of Muldrow; a son, Larry Cantwell of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Merlene Ballard of Seattle; three grandchildren, Chip Fulbright and his wife Joanne, Charlie Fulbright and his wife Kari, and Kyle Fulbright; and three great-grandchildren, Kristen, Michael and Faith Fulbright.
Pallbearers will be Tom Cantwell, Chip, Charlie and Kyle Fulbright, Charles Davis and Danny Gee.
