CLARKSVILLE — Marie Roberts, 89, of Clarksville died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in a Clarksville hospital. She was the widow of Olney Roberts.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel of Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
She is survived by one son, Jackie of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Connie Martin and Steve Skidgel, both of Van Buren, Bruce Skidgel of Fort Smith, Lale Roberts of Green Forest and Leah Castleberry of Sulphur, La.; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Simons, Bruce, Steve and Steven Skidgel, Lale Roberts and Steve Castleberry.
Nolen Rhinehart
PARIS — Nolen Lafeyette Rhinehart, 72, of Paris died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in Little Rock. He retired from Dresser-Rand Air Services and was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Paris.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Paris with burial at Graves cemetery in Delaware, Ark., under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Jo Campbell Rhinehart; three daughters, Patricia West and Nelma Bennett, both of Paris and Reba Keith of Chismville; one brother, Delmas Ray Rhinehart of Midway; four granddaughters; and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Rick Allen, Leon Askins, Kenneth Rhinehart, Fred Wurst, Ewell Bowman and Kirby Campbell.

Lois Peace
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Lois “Genew” Norene Peace, 91, of Broken Arrow, formerly of Uniontown, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at her home. She was a member of Uniontown Christian Church and retired as a civil service employee. She was the widow of Ural Peace.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Uniontown Christian Church with burial at Uniontown cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by one daughter, Arta Janway of Broken Arrow; two sons, Beauford of Mineola, Texas, and Bernard of Tulsa; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Howard, Greg Pruitt, Homer Marshall, James Morrison, Herman Howell and Vernon Russell.

Crockett Morse
Crockett Morse, 71, of Fort Smith died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was the former owner and operator of Arkansas Vacuum and retired from Electrolux as Leading Division Manager in 1976. He was a Calvary Baptist Sunday School teacher.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at New cemetery in Mulberry.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one daughter, Shirley Morris of New Orleans; two sons, Dwight of Hot Springs and Ricky of Mena; three sisters, Thelma Jean Riggs of Morehead, N.C., Margie Sue Parrott and Ruth Eden, both of Conroe, Texas; two brothers, William E. Morse Jr. of Mulberry and Clyde Morse of Port Boliver, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Neel, Melvin Farrar, Chris Pruitt, Pat Owens, Gene and Charles Wimberly, Rex Bailey and Paul Goldsmith.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Men’s Sunday school class and deacons of the church.
The family will visit with friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Beverly Finley, 66, of Fort Smith died Feb. 14, 2000, in Fort Smith. She retired as an employee of Rheem Manufacturing. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church and Belle Point Quilter’s Guild.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday in Fentress Mortuary Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William J. “Bill” Finley; one daughter, Mora Flatte of Bentonville; one son, Dr. Matt Finley of Fort Smith; one sister, Barbara Sue Howe of Sedalia, Mo.; and one grandchild.
Larry Jones
Larry Jones, 63, of Rudy died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, in Pastoria, Mexico. He was a Navy veteran, the originator of the Van Buren Downtown Old Timers Association and the retired owner of the Paint Store & Lumber Shed. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Van Buren and later in Mexico.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home; two daughters, Susan Perletti of Alaska and Marcia Shigley of Washington state; two sons, Bill Jones of Rudy and Leland Jones of Germany; two sisters, Juanita Jones of Washington state and Carol Whitney of Mexico; three brothers, Don, Bob and Lloyd Jones, all of Oregon; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Patsy Ann Lasiter, 68, of Mulberry died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Mulberry. She was the former owner of Lakeview One Stop in Van Buren and a former employee of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Department and attended the Van Buren Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Gale Lasiter; a grandson, Jody Lasiter, and a daughter-in-law, Leneda Lasiter.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Woodlawn cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Othel; four sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Lasiter of Mulberry, Michael and Deborah Lasiter of Spiro, Bruce and Bonnie Lasiter of Fort Smith and Dennis and Heidi Lasiter of Mulberry; three sisters, Jean Jones Collier of Fort Smith, Shirley Avey of Mulberry and Sue Reed of Fort Smith; three brothers, Donald Boyd of Fort Smith, Billy Boyd of Mulberry and Teddy Boyd of Fort Smith; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Minnie Ruth Woodward
Minnie Ruth Woodward, 78, of Marble City died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a teacher’s aide and cook at county schools, a Baptist and the widow of George Osburn Woodward.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Marble City with burial at Flute Springs cemetery near Marble City under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Henning of Sallisaw and Nadine Sharp of Muldrow; a sister-in-law, Mattie Cloud of Stilwell; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Sue Woodward of Marble City; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Mack Flute, Brad Likens, Donald Sharp, Roger Young, Frankie Sumpter and Jackie Woodward.
Naomi B. Elkins
Naomi B. Elkins, 95, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a member of First Christian Church and the past president of the League of Women Voters, both local and state. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzo E. Elkins.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Oak cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two nieces, Jean Flaherty of Boulder, Colo. and Darleen Sundberg and her husband, Paul of Westminster, Colo.; a nephew, Richard Daniels and his wife, Johnnie of Fort Smith.
Marie L. Johnson
Marie L. Johnson, 79, of Fort Smith died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of Temple Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Johnson; and two sons, Gerald and Mike.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lairamore of Fort Smith; one son, Johnnie Johnson and his wife, Jill of Fort Smith; one sister, Mildred Fox of Pima, Ariz.; one brother, Don Dixon of Roosevelt, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Missy, Andy and Alex.

The Rev. Cecil Lee McCannon
The Rev. Cecil Lee McCannon was born in Henderson, Texas on Oct. 14, 1925. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 at the age of 78 in Fort Smith.
He served in the Army for eight years and the Air Force for 12 years. He was stationed in Germany, France and Alaska. He was stationed at Camp Chaffee where he met and married
Miss Patsy June Barrett. While stationed in Alaska on a remote site, he was appointed chaplain. He also was stationed at Frances E. Warren Air Force Base and Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Ill. His rank was staff sergeant. He also served in England.
The Rev. Cecil McCannon served as assistant pastor at Dickerson, Texas Assembly of God. He was assistant pastor at North Houston Assembly of God. He served as an associate at the Miracle House of Prayer in Arcola, Texas. Also he was an evangelist. The Rev. Cecil McCannon is affiliated with the Independent Assemblies of Lexington, Okla.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy June Barrett McCannon; one daughter, Carolyn F. Cantrell and her husband, Gary of Dallas; one son, Vernon Lee McCannon of the home; two grandchildren, Cameron Cantrell and Connor Cantrell; three brothers, Willis Richard McCannon of Kilgore, Texas, Russell Harrison McCannon and his wife, Judy of Santa Fe, Texas, and the Rev. Billy Roy McCannon and wife, Connie of Midwest City, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Inez Barrett of Fort Smith and Linda Shepard and husband, Claud Shepard Jr.; several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Morrell, Albro “Taco” Rodriquez, Larry Ethridge, Gary Cantrell, Manuel Jimenez and Brian Shepard.

Nellie M. Fillyaw
Nellie M. Fillyaw, 80, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, in Van Buren. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, a former youth director and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Fillyaw.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Miller and Tamara Bailey, both of Fort Smith; a son, Drew Fillyaw of Van Buren; and seven grandchildren.

Mary Ann Miller, 63, of Barling died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Ashland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Saint Joseph, Mo. She was also part of The Sweet Adelines singing group, graduated from the University of Missouri at Maryville and also was a world traveler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Florene Miller and also her nephew, Doug Elledge.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Elledge of Barling; a niece, Stacey Elledge of Barling; a nephew, Derrick Elledge and his wife, Lynette of Rockwall, Texas; her great-nieces and nephews, Andrew, Hallie and Zoe Elledge.

SAN ANTONIO — Margaret Kumpe, 85, of San Antonio, formerly of Sallisaw, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in San Antonio. She was the widow of Earl Kumpe.

She is survived by a son, David Kumpe; two sisters, Maxine Wilson and Wilma Hogan; three brothers, Ed, Ralph and Roy Wilson; and two grandchildren.
