ALTUS — Mary Josephine Stover, 54, of Altus died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born May 24, 1949, in Franklin County. She was a cashier and the widow of Johnny Stover.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Liberty cemetery in Altus.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Nichols of Altus; a son, Henry Stover of Altus; six sisters, Anita Lawrence and Margie Huffman, both of McFall, Mo., Nettie Knight, Denna Page and Pamela Campbell, all of Altus, and Sally Bates of Gentry; four brothers, Johnny, Robert, Danny and Will Wilson, all of Altus; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lewis, Mike Mainer, Calvin Stover, Randy Page, George Bahart and Larry Bates.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Casey Herring
FAYETTEVILLE — Casey Herring, 14, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Fayetteville. He was born June 8, 1989, in Fayetteville. He was an eighth-grade student at Ramay Junior High School and was a member of Oak Manor Christian Church.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville with burial at Mount Comfort cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Rick and Janice Herring of Fayetteville; a sister, Amy Herring of Fayetteville; paternal grandparents, Major and Lucille Herring of Fayetteville; maternal grandmother, Nadine Morris of Fort Smith; and maternal grandfather, Max Brannon of Fayetteville.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Casey’s memory to Alstrom Syndrome International, 14 Whitney Farm Road, Mount Desert, ME 04660.

A.E. Hooper Jr.
RUSSELLVILLE — A.E. Hooper Jr., 84, of Russellville died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Russellville. He was a major in the Army. He served in Italy and North Africa in World War II. He attended College of the Ozarks, was a football coach at Booneville High School for two years. He rejoined the Army and served 20 years, was a administrator of the Booneville City Hospital for 13 years and was a charter member of the Soreheads.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill cemetery in Booneville under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mary Miller of Richmond, Va., and Cathy Merkel of Fayetteville; and a brother, Tommy Hooper of Fort Smith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Animal Shelter in Russellville or the charity of donor’s choice.

Andrea Bradley
WICKES — Andrea L. Bradley, 64, of Wickes died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Mena. She was born March 30, 1939, in Deland, Fla. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Crystal Hill cemetery in Wickes under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie; three daughters, Paula Gonzalez of Mount Pleasant and Shirley Todd and Linda Saddler, both of Wickes; four sons, Bill Joyce and Kenneth Bradley, both of Grannis, Buddy Joyce of Naples, Texas, and Steve Bradley of Wickes; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gretta Newman
Gretta Ann Newman, 58, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a retired professional waitress for the Ribeye Steak House, the Lighthouse and Old Mill Inn restaurants, and was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Hon cemetery in Hon.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby; a sister, Donna Currier of Fort Smith; a brother, Wayne Bottoms of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Tom McCann, Jessie Stringer, Bob Gilson, Delbert Hodge, Paul Getz and Robert Newman.
The body may be viewed 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Marvin Price
Marvin S. Price, 84, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born Oct. 21, 1919, in Webb City. He was a World War II Army veteran, was retired from Superior Motor Co. in Fort Smith and a member of Barling Assembly of God and was a Gideon.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Barling with burial at Cecil cemetery in Cecil under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice; two daughters, Virginia White and Georgia Werner, both of Hackett; a stepdaughter, Ruth Berry of Fort Smith; two stepsons, Ken Redding of Alma and Don Redding of Fort Smith; three sisters, Irene Volentine of Clarksville, Ellen Sharp of Charleston and Oma Armstrong of Stone Mountain, Ga.; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Nick Bartmier, John Berry, Justin Leding, Zach Roam, Wes Redding and Trey Nelson.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ronald David Carson
Our loved one, Ronald David Carson, left this world to be with our heavenly father, on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. Born June 4, 1951, in Fort Smith to Walter and Virginia Sapp. His celebration of life service will be Good Friday 2004 at 1 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery. Retired from Whirlpool after 25 years of service, known as the original “Happy Birthday” singer, who brought joy to so many, making them feel special on their birthday. He is survived by a devoted wife, Charlene Carson; a caring daughter, Carrie Swink and son-in-law, Adair Swink of Greenwood; his father, Walter Sapp; brothers, Karl, Phillip, James and Daniel Sapp; sisters, Mary Ray, Deborah Swaim, Regina Popa. He was a member of Evangel Temple. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Prescott, Adair Swink, Howard Ray, Matthew Sapp, Greg Griffin and Roy Bass III. COVE — DeLena Chism Jinks, 90, of Cove died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in Mena. She was born Feb. 1, 1914, in Joy. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with burial at Pleasant Grove cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Jinks of Benton; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

VIAN — Robin M. Killian, 49, of Vian died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born Sept. 28, 1954, in St. Louis. He was in home remodeling with K&K Improvements and a Protestant.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Blackgum with burial at Sallisaw City cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; a daughter, Kimberley Weigel of Hackett; three sons, Robin Killian Jr. of Sallisaw, and Stephen and Dustin Killian, both of Spiro; a stepdaughter, Tiffani Gann of Sallisaw; two stepsons, Douglas Gann of Wichita, Kan. and Shawn Gann of Sallisaw; a sister, Dawn Killian of Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Harry Killian Jr. of Shady Point and Douglas Killian of Muldrow; and 14 grandchildren.

PARIS — Monett Stone Moore, 81, of Paris died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in Paris. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church in Paris, attended the Paris Senior Citizens and was the widow of O.E. Moore.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Paris with burial at Oakwood cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Taylor of Radford, Va., and Linda Hixson of Paris; a son, Gary Moore of Jessieville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Henson, George Neumeier, Don Rieder, Bentley Allen, Robert Ehren and Herschel Cleveland.

WINSLOW — Vida Virona Loftin, 88, of Winslow died Thursday, April 8, 2004, in Alma. She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Winslow. She was a homemaker, a member of Blackburn Community Church and the widow of Clarence Loftin.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Blackburn Community Church with burial at Blackburn cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville.
She is survived by three daughters, Loretta Center of Van Buren, Sibyl Center of Alma and Sharon Poore of Fort Smith; a son, William Loftin of Bigelow; a brother, Clayton Barnett of Portland, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

STIGLER — Pauline James, 85, of Stigler died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Stigler High School in 1938, retired from Public Service Co. of Oklahoma and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stigler.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Stigler with burial at Whitefield cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers will be Sam Rose, Bill Cox, Duke Dunn, Truitt Rogers, Larry Godfrey and Doug Martin.

Leland Davis
SANTA ANA, Calif. — Leland John Davis, 94, of Santa Ana, Calif., died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, in his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1909, in Hartman. During World War II, he helped build blimp hangers at Lighter Than Air Base in Irvine, Calif., and he owned LJ Davis Cement Construction.
The body was cremated under the direction of Neptune Society of Orange County.
He is survived by a daughter, Jude LaBarre of Santa Ana, Calif.; and one grandchild.

John Carson
JOHNSON — John David Carson, 59, of Johnson died Thursday, April 8, 2004, in his home. He was born June 20,1944, in Memphis. He was a supervisor for Roadway Express and a member of Springdale First Assembly of God.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville with burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; a daughter, Julie Lance of Millers Creek, N.C.; three sons, John Carson Jr. of Mountain Home, Daniel and Aaron Carson, both of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Sue Arick of Bartlett, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Huntington cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.
She is survived by her husband, John; six sons, Doug, Pete, Danny, Clay, Arden and Randy; six stepdaughters; two stepsons; five sisters; three brothers; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons.
