Mary Leathers, 77, of Van Buren died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, J.W.; a daughter, Atha Kephart of Waldron; a son, Walker Leathers of Van Buren; two sisters, Helen Waters of Weirton, W.V., and Millie Nelms of Stockton, Calif.; two brothers, Noble and Robert Allen, both of Granbury, Texas; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Lorene Myers
MULDROW — Lorene Myers, 63, of Muldrow died Monday, April 19, 2004, in Muldrow. Born June 3, 1940, in Sequoyah County, she was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Roland City cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland.
She is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Patricia Chamberlain of Van Buren; four sons, James Crossno of Fort Smith, Ralph Crossno of Hutchison, Kan., William Crossno of Van Buren and Charles Crossno of the home; three sisters, Irene Akins of Ravia, Okla., Delphi of Big Cabin, Okla., and Goldie of South Carolina; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pauline Eastep
ACORN — Pauline Lee Eastep, 92, of Acorn died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in a Mena hospital. Born Oct. 28, 1911 at Big Fir in Montgomery County, she worked as a migrant farm worker in California, a cook in Arizona and was the cook at the bus station in Mena. She was a Baptist and the widow of Furman Allen Kimp.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Hall Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mena with burial at Owens Chapel cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil; three sons, Roy Kimp of Burney, Calif., W.A. Kimp of Hamilton, Mont., and Billy Kimp of Acorn; two stepdaughters, Lois Ross of Fort Smith and Pat Eastep of Acorn; two sisters, Sylvia Warren of Mena and Arvina Vincent of Bartlesville, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Melba Daniels
BARLING — Melba Daniels, 76, of Barling died Saturday, April 17, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a Baptist and worked at Emmy’s German Restaurant for many years. She was the widow of James Daniels.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her companion, Perry Jackson; a daughter, Janice Knudson of Charleston; a sister, Ella Spencer of Fort Smith; two brothers, Hank Ross of Greenwood and James Ross of Pensacola, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Taylor, Bobby Crabtree, Cliff Harris, Chuck Hyatt, Rick Edwards and Nathan Redford.
Camilla Krallman
Sister Camilla Krallman, 96, of Fort Smith died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in her home. She was a housekeeper and made her religious profession June 24, 1924.
Vespers will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel with burial at St. Scholastica cemetery under the direction of Putnam Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a sister, Margaret Beshoner of Scranton; and sisters of her religious community.
Pallbearers will be Harry, Mary, and Bill Beshoner, Mary Frances Cauldwell and Jerome Minden.

Marie O’Neill
Marie Edna O’Neill, 84, of Fort Smith died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was the widow of Clinton O’Neill Jr.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today in McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated.
She is survived by a daughter, Maureen Stoddard of Greenwood; four sons, Clinton O’Neill III of Holbrook, N.Y., Brian O’Neill of Blue Point, N.Y., Kevin O’Neill of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Terrance O’Neill of Lindenhurst, N.Y.; a brother, Urban Hasson of Bloomingdale, N.J.; nine grandchildren, one step-grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Mary Weiderkehr
Sister Mary John Wiederkehr, 100, of Fort Smith died Monday, April 19, 2004, in her home. She was a gardener and made her religious profession June 25, 1929.
Vespers will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Scholastica Monastery Chapel with burial at St. Scholastica cemetery under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by sisters of her religious community.

GREENWOOD — William W. “Buddy” Law, 54, of Greenwood died Monday, April 19, 2004, in Little Rock. Born Nov. 19, 1949 in Paris, he was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood and was a retired route salesman for Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood with burial at Caulksville City cemetery in Caulksville under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Gayla; two daughters, Holly King and Whitney Law, both of Greenwood; and two sisters, Sue Chastain and Dee Reames, both of Fort Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Milus Bullington
CHARLESTON — Milus William Bullington, 90, of Charleston died Friday, April 16, 2004, in Fort Smith. Born Oct. 17, 1913 in Charleston, he was a member of Charleston First Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Charleston with burial at Garden of Memories cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
He is survived by five sons, Bill Bullington of Abidjan, West Africa, Bob Bullington of Charleston, Dan Bullington of Knoxville, Tenn., John Bullington of Fort Smith and Ed Bullington of Little Rock; two sisters, Norma Buchanan of Eastaboga, Ala., and Melva VanVlack of Charleston; a brother, B.L. Bullington of Tulsa; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be his sons, Billy Lee Bullington, Robert Ray Bullington, Milus Edgar Bullington, Danny Mack Bullington and John Carl Bullington.
Honorary pallbearers will be his daughters-in-law.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

NORENE DARLING
TUCKERMAN — Norene Bowen Darling, 89, of Tuckerman died Friday, May 18, 2001, in a Jonesboro hospital. She was born June 14, 1911, in Tuckerman. She was a fourth-generation descendant of one of the pioneer families of Jackson County and was a member of Tuckerman United Methodist Church, where she participated in the WSCS and the UMW. She was the widow of Harry Ed Darling, with whom she owned and operated City Cafe in Tuckerman and Ed’s Cafe in McCrory.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today in Tuckerman United Methodist Church with burial at Gracelawn cemetery, under the direction of Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
She is survived by three sons, James Nelson Darling of Tuckerman, Edward Bowen Darling of Hope and the Reverend Ted Coe Darling of Ozark; six grandchildren, Justin Darling of Winter Park, Fla., Jennifer Darling Orr of Hope, Jamie Darling of Tuckerman, Holly Darling McCormack and Courtney Darling, both of Ozark, and Elizabeth Darling Clark of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Henry Crandall, Bob Penix, Scotty Armstrong, Buzz Soden, David Winston and Thomas McFadden.

“SPEEDY” BROWN
“Speedy” Brown, 70, of Van Buren died Saturday, May 19, 2001, in Van Buren. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Va., and Alma Masonic Lodge No. 735, a Navy veteran of the 
Korean War and a retired employee of Olin Industries.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Poague of Van Buren; two sons, Steve of Virginia Beach, Va., and Paul of Chesapeake, Va.; one sister, Louise Ball of Sallisaw; two brothers, Jack of Springdale and Jerry of Alma; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be R.C. Walker, Jack, Jerry, Jason and Jacob Brown and Christopher Poague.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
LEE OVERBEY
CLARKSVILLE — Lee Overbey, 91, of Clarksville died Saturday, May 19, 2001, in an area hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1909 in Lamar. He was a graduate of Lamar High School, a Navy veteran of World War II and the former owner of Overbey IGA Grocery Store in Clarksville for 26 years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Mount Airy cemetery in Ludwig.
He is survived by one daughter, Pat Lantz of Clarksville; three sisters, Mary De Vey of Newark, N.Y., Vera Young of Fort Smith and Vivian King of Clarksville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

MENA — Bryan Michael Ezell, 16, of Mena died Sunday, May 20, 2001.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Mena with burial at Mount Gilead cemetery in Rocky.
He is survived by his parents, Mike Ezell of Paris and Rolinda and Tim Keith of Mena; one sister, Mica Ezell of Mena; two brothers, Allan of Lawton, Okla., and Clint of Clarksville, Tenn; and his grandparents, Johnye Terrell of Mena and Maxine Ezell of Paris.
Pallbearers will be Clint and Ray Ezell, Terry, Rick and Roger Terrell and R.D. Gann.
The family will visit with friends at the Dallas Avenue Baptist Church Fellowship Hall after the committal service.

Mary Ella Mullins, 75, of Fort Smith died Friday, May 18, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by one son, Herman Mullins of Muldrow; three stepsons, Raymond and Stanley Mullins, both of Fort Smith, and Mark Mullins of Van Buren; one brother, Lee Ray Bernard of Fort Smith; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Raymond and Stacey Weaver, Greg and Becky Griffin, Orville Chandler, Herman and Virginia Mullins and Micheal and Chris Mullins.
Melissa “Missy” Smith Sicard
Melissa “Missy” Smith Sicard, 51, of Fort Smith died Friday, May 18, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Board for the Fort Smith Public School Endowment Trust, the Old Fort Museum and Community Clearing House. She was a graduate of Leadership Fort Smith and the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in education.
A private family committal will be followed by a memorial service, service time pending. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel M. Sicard; a daughter, Melissa Caroline Sicard of the home; a son, Samuel T. and wife Jennifer Sicard of Fort Smith; her father, Ralph “Buddy” Smith of Fort Smith; a brother, Timothy Ross Smith of Fort Smith; and two nephews, T. David Smith and Spencer E. Smith, both of Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Smith.
