Dan W. Patterson
Dan W. Patterson, 74, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church. He was retired owner operator of Industrial Glove Cleaners.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at Oak cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Billye; one son, Allen Patterson and wife, Elizabeth, of McKinney, Texas; one sister, Lou Graham and husband, Niles, of North Port, Ala.; two grandchildren, Blake Patterson and Ryan Patterson of McKinney, Texas. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Moody, Tex Bayouth, Danny Austin, Jim Rose, Melvin Roberts and Roger Ross.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Moore, Doyle Autry, Wesley Sunday school class of Goddard United Methodist Church.
Family will visit with friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goddard United Methodist Church, 1922 Dodson Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Reed Hildebrant Jr.
EL PASO, Texas — Reed Douglas Hildebrant Jr., 72, of El Paso, Texas, died Friday, June 4, 2004, in Lubbock, Texas. He was of the Catholic faith, graduated from Texas Western College in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, was a member of the East El Paso Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the “Sons of the Sun,” an Eagle Scout, a holder of the Silver Beaver, owned Hildebrant’s Inc. in El Paso, was an Army veteran of the Korean War and received the Bronze Star.
Rosary will be 6:30 today at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Janet Mattingly of Houston and Mary Scholz of Lubbock, Texas; three sons, Reed Hildebrant III of Sheridan, Ore., James Hildebrant of El Paso, Texas, and Christopher Hildebrant of Fort Drum, N.Y.; a sister, Diana Mohrhauser of Ruidoso, N.M.; a brother, Dennis Hildebrant of El Paso; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Reed and Sean Mattingly, James Newman Jr., Larry Newman and Christopher and James Hildebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 3291 S. Thompson, Suite D-104, Springdale, AR 72764.

Margaret Mosley
MENA — Margaret Cecil Emerson Mosley, 90, of Mena died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Mena. She was born Jan. 18, 1914, in Mena. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, taught first grade for the Mena Schools System for 29 years, a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Mena, where she taught Sunday school, and a member of Mission Friends, was recognized by Beta Sigma Phi as Woman of the Year and was the widow of Frank Mosley.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
She is survived by a daughter, Susanna Mosley of Mena.
Honorary pallbearers will be all former students.

Roy Cain
Roy Eugene Cain, 61, of Van Buren died Sunday, June, 6, 2004, in his home. He was a retired Army veteran of the Vietname War and a member of Jubliee Christian Church.
Graveside service and military honors will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sarah Grove cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Faye; four daughters, Edna Kilgore, Kathy Reynolds and Sherry Turpin, all of Van Buren, and Marcy Bell of Alma; two sons, Danny and Ricky Cain, both of Van Buren; two sisters, Barbara Ellison of Lawton, Okla., and Elizabeth Newman of Cordell, Okla.; two brothers, Talmage Cain of Texas and Donald Cain of Oklahoma; and 16 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Jenkins, Don Hunter, Phillip Whitsett, Gary Brown, George Byer and Mike Mounce.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edward Gollihare
PANAMA — Edward “Otto” Gollihare, of Panama died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Tulsa.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Fairview cemetery in Panama under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; three sons, Edward and Chuck Gollihare, both of Panama, and James Gollihare of Missouri; two sisters, Jane and Judy, both of Panama; four brothers, Jerry, Ricky, Donnie and Ronald Gollihare; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Wayne, Chuck, Ronald, James and Donnie Gollihare, Robert York and Irvin Jones.

Hazel Osborne
Hazel Osborne, 82, of Van Buren died Sunday, June 6, 2004, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, a member of Catcher Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for several years, and was the widow of Opal Osborne.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by a son, Billy Osborne of Van Buren; two sisters, Nettie Anderson and Robbie Murray, both of Exeter, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Stites of Exeter, Calif., and James Stites of Phoenix; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marion Newton, Bill Slack, David Parks, Terry Watts, Gary Osborne and Ransom Shores.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles Freeman
CLARKSVILLE — Charles Jr. Freeman, 48, of Clarksville died Sunday, June 6, 2004, in Clarksville. He was a logger and owned Freeman and Son Logging.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Mount Judea cemetery in Mount Judea.
He is survived by a daughter, Tina Stufflebeam of Farmington; two sons, Jason Freeman of Clarksville and Tyler Marlow of Lamar; parents, Marie and Gerald McNinch of Russellville; three brothers, Andy Young of Atkins, Lee Young of Pelsor and Leo Young of Russellville; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Freeman, Clifton Papasan, Ricky, Lee, Andy and Leo Young and Greg Tumbleson.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mildred Allen
CHARLESTON — Mildred Bell Allen, 91, of Charleston died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Branch. She was a homemaker, a member of Mount View Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of Thomas Allen.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount View Baptist Church with burial at Mount Hope cemetery north of Charleston under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Naomi Burrell of Vidalia, Ga. and Twila Greer of Fresno, Calif.; five sons, Boyd and Carrol Allen, both of Charleston, Billy Allen of Clovis, Calif., Alfred Allen of Reedly, Calif., and Gary Allen of Fort Smith; a sister, Lillie Beshears of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Manford Robertson of Charleston and T.J. Robertson of Fort Smith; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gabriel Hesslen
POCOLA — Garbiel Adam Hesslen, infant son of Kevin and Christy Hesslen of Pocola, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, in a local hospital.
No services will be held. Arrangements under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Hope and Hannah Hesslen of the home; a brother, Hunter Hesslen of the home; maternal grandparents, Dan and Janet Cathey of Fort Smith; paternal grandparents, J.R. Hesslen of Fort Smith and Mary Morgan of Shady Point; maternal great-grandmother, Ava Fry of Fort Smith.

Jewell Mann
SPIRO — Jewell Mae Mann, 78, of Spiro died Monday, June 7, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was the widow of Andy Mann.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro.
She is survived a brother, Robert Word of California.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Mann, Ron Simons, David Word, Mike King, Ricky Brown, Robert Harper and Phillip Evans.

Verlyn Scott
CLARKSVILLE — Verlyn “Johnny” Scott, 71, of Clarksville died Sunday, June 6, 2004, in his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1933, in Dean, Iowa. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
He is survived by four daughters; five sons; three sisters, Virginia Schmoker of Clarksville, Darlene Brown of Lamar and Shirley Talbot of Bloomfield, Iowa; three brothers, Richard Scott of Alma, Charles Scott of Agency, Iowa, and Gene Scott of Ottumwa, Iowa; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lois Batchelor
Lois West Batchelor, 88, of Van Buren died Sunday, June 6, 2004, in a local hospital. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, a retired office manager for Rhodes Chevrolet in Van Buren and the widow of Warren West and Lonnie Batchelor.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Hoffman of Fort Smith and Rebecca Davenport of Loganville, Ga.; a son, Phillip West of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Iva Spradlin
PORUM, Okla. — Iva J. Spradlin, 75, of Porum, Okla., died Monday, June 7, 2004, in her home.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Porum Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Fields cemetery in Porum under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by her husband, J.E.; two sons, Connie and Ronnie Spradlin, both of Porum, Okla.; four sisters, Emma Craig of Dallas, Pauline Frost of Fort Gibson, Okla., Charlsea Yandell of Eufaula, Okla., and Joyce Dillingham of Muskogee, Okla.; two brothers, Preston Lawson of Porum, Okla. and Elbert Lawson of Muskogee, Okla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Boe Mullins, Jimmy Wright, Clay Adams, Roger Kinsey, Jim Whitman and Bill Coughran.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Rocky Hunt
OZARK — Rocky Lee Hunt, 43, of Ozark died Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Ozark. He was born May 10, 1961, in Fort Smith. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School, a member of Quails Unlimited and president of Hillbilly Hunting Camp.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Body will be cremated at Faith Crematory in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Toni; a stepdaughter, Susan Sims of Maumelle; a stepson, Sonny Sims of Bradleyville, Mo.; and two brothers, Ricky Hunt of Lamar and Robert Hunt of Greenwood.
The family will visit with friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
