MANSFIELD — Anna Mae Wagner, 73, of Mansfield died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in Lamar. She was a homemaker and a member of James Fork Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at James Fork Baptist Church with burial at Coop Prairie cemetery in Mansfield under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.
She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Minnich of Jefferson City, Mo., Janice Holt of Lamar and Laura Gillis of Mansfield; a son, William Wagner of Bee Branch; two sisters, Geraldine Newman and Dessie Draper, both of Waldron; a brother, Frankie Newman of McCloud, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Minnich, Jerry Holt, Mark Gillis, Joshua and Landen Holmes and David Draper.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
David McConnell
David McConnell, 49, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1954, in Fort Smith. He was of the Methodist faith, worked as a volunteer for the Fort Smith Visitor’s Center at Miss Laura’s, and worked in the retail business.
Burial of cremains and graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his mother, Mary McConnell of Fort Smith; and a sister, Jill Otts of Fort Smith.
Mirtha Rivera-Mendez
LAVACA — Mirtha Luz Rivera-Mendez, 59, of Lavaca died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Moca, Puerto Rico. She was born Dec. 3, 1944, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Barling and was a retired PCA from Sparks Hospital.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca with burial at Mayberry cemetery in Central City under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca.
She is survived by her husband, Pete; two daughters, Debbie Mendez-Jackson of Lavaca and Jeanette Zambrana of Fort Smith; her mother, Domittila Mendez of Lavaca; four sisters, Carman Rivera of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Luz Cotto of Matteson, Ill., and Nancy Medina and Marybel Torres, both of Lavaca; six brothers, Luis Rivera of New Lenox, Ill., Juan Rivera of Barling, Harry Torres of Lavaca, Victor Torres of Fort Smith and Robert and Miguel Torres, both of Chicago; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Cotto Jr., Jose Medina, Anthony Rivera, Pablo and Alfonso Mendez, Robert and Noel Torres and Harry Torres Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
William Delp
DAYTON — William L. “Bill” Delp, 86, of Dayton died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in his home. He was a retired truck driver.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Clarks Chapel cemetery in Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Katie of the home; two daughters, Linda Powers of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Starlett DeGraffenreid of Bedford, Wyo.; a son, Billy Delp of Dayton; a sister, Billie Harmond of Cortez, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Delp, Willis, Harold, Jimmy and Robert Delp and Bob Orf.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Fowble Twins
The infant Fowble twins of Paris were born and died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Clarksville.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Caulksville cemetery in Caulksville under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
They are survived by their parents, Carl and Lee Ann Fowble of Paris; and three sisters, Carla Thrailkill and Christine and Rachel Fowble, all of Paris.
Bobby King Sr.
Bobby Gene King Sr., 66, of Fort Smith died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1938, in Fort Smith. He was a retired auto body repairman and a member of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church of God.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Sarah Kerr of Los Lunas, N.M., and Polly Stephens of Fort Smith; a son, Bobby King Jr. of Fort Smith; two sisters, Edith Bobbit of Greenwood and Margie Garner of Van Buren; two brothers, George King of Fort Smith and Paul King of Louiston, Calif.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed beginning at 9 a.m. today.
The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

POTEAU — Katherine Cameron, 81, of Poteau died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in a Poteau. She was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Poteau. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Poteau.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Oakland cemetery Pavilion with burial at Oakland cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Marie Etzkorn
PARIS — Marie Louise Etzkorn, 85, of Paris died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the widow of Lawrence Etzkorn.
Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial at St. Benedict Catholic cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Gilbert of Paris; a son, James Etzkorn of Bonanza; and a grandchild.
Cecil Harrison
POTEAU — Cecil Wesley Harrison, 82, of Poteau died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Talihina. He was born June 14, 1922, in Monroe. He was a painter, carpenter and contractor and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Poteau and the American Legion. He was the widower of Novella Harrison.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Vaughn cemetery in Gilmore, Okla., under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by two daughters, Latresha Brazzell of San Antonio and Brenda Clark of Poteau; a son, Roy Harrison of Crowley, Texas; three sisters, Lorene Mabry of Poteau, Opal Davis of Urbana, Mo., and Jewel Allen of Los Lunas, N.M.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ralph Prescott
ARKOMA — Ralph Prescott, 80, of Arkoma died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in Arkoma. He was a retired factory worker for 30 years for Bendex Corp. and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith with 
military honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie B. Prescott of the home.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Bobby Joe Lee
Bobby Joe Lee, 52, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, in Mobile, Ala. He was a pharmaceutical representative, former owner and operator of Professional Errand Service for 12 years, a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and an Air Force veteran.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Episcopal Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home; a daughter, Stacy Lee of Fort Smith; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Paula O’Leary of Tallahassee, Fla.; two godsons, Ryan and Keith Jones of Muldrow; four sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Mender Lee and Catherine Massey, all of Spiro, and Joyce Lee of Tulsa; three brothers, Mitchell and Thomas Lee, both of Spiro, and Jimmy Lee of Fort Coffee, Okla.
Pallbearers will be John Hamill, Gary and Brandon Phillips, Michael Lee, Whitney Peterson and Reggie Chitwood.

James E. Whitson
James E. Whitson, 80, of Van Buren died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in a nursing home. He was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Woodland, Calif. He was a retired T/Sgt. for the Air Force, was of the Catholic faith and was a veteran of World War II and the
Korean War and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the widower of the late Nola Whitson and was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Blackman, grandson David Frisbie and parents James and Irene Whitson.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary Frisbie of Lavaca and Diane Hernandez of California; a son, Bill Cawood of Midwest City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
James L. Lehren
James L. Lehren, 85, of Fort Smith died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a graduate of Carnegie Industrial Tech with a degree in industrial engineering. He had a 46-year career with Wolverine Toy Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Booneville, where he served as president of the company from 1968 to 1984. He was also a master sergeant in the Army during World War II.
Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Catholic Church in Fort Smith with burial at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by four sons, James R. Lehren of Butler, Pa., Jeffery Lehren of Atlanta, David Lehren of Eureka Springs and Gary Lehren of Fayetteville; one sister, Roz Emmons of Darien, Conn.; two brothers, Harry Lehren of Big Bear, Calif., and Hank Lehren of Boston, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Jessica Lehren Hall of Rogers, Sarah Lehren of Fayetteville and Scott, Jennifer and Christie Lehren, all of Dayton, Ohio.
Pallbearers will be James R. Lehren and Jeffery, David, Gary, Scott and Harry Lehren.

Dr. Rick Martin
Dr. Rick Martin, 57, of Greenwood died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in Houston. He practiced medicine at Bailey Clinic in Greenwood, a division of Cooper Clinic. He was also co-owner of Fin City Pet Supplies in Greenwood. He was a member of the Sebastian County Medical Society, Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians and American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Martin was a faithful member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, where he held many positions, including vice chairman of the administrative board, and was a missionary to Haiti. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Dr. Martin was an avid fisherman, antique car buff, voracious reader and wonderful joke teller. Since starting his medical practice in Fort Smith and Greenwood 29 years ago, he has been a respected, caring physician who dearly loved by all who knew him.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Greenwood United Methodist Church with burial at Liberty cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Gail Martin of the home; two daughters, Kara Martin Ault and husband, Rick, and Beth Martin Johnson and husband, Joseph; one granddaughter, LeAnna Gail Johnson; his parents, Earl and Teddy Martin; four aunts, Lee Minor, Grace Pumphrey, Jayne Clark and Bonnie Clark; three uncles, Marvin Minor, Loyd Pumphrey, and David Clark; and a special cousin, Mary Lea Huss. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Alta Clark, Earl and Myrtice Martin, and his uncle, Bob Clark.
Viewing will be 1 to 9 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Bob Turner, Ron Lewis, Sam Jennings, Randy Tarver, Dick Parrish and Stan Wooten. Honorary pallbearers will be David Clark, Marvin Minor, Loyd Pumphrey and administration and physicians of Cooper Clinic and St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. Martha Agnes Oliver Coomer
Martha Agnes Oliver Coomer, 80, of Alma died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in her home. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, a lifelong resident of Crawford County and was a retired inspector for Whirlpool. She was the widow of Finis Coomer.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Yoestown cemetery near Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Faye Smith of Alma and LaDonna Gaye Martin of Alma; two sons, William Finis Coomer of Van Buren and Norman Dale Coomer of Alma; a sister, Eula Bell Hart of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers, Harold K. Oliver of Alma and Earl Oliver of Fort Worth, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Painter, Sam Oliver, Don Oliver, Bryan Nichols, Jason Parks and Jerry Oliver Jr.
