Stephen Maulden

KENNETT, Mo. -- Stephen Maulden, 50, of Kennett died Monday, Aug. 22, at University Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born at Piggott.

Survivors include two brothers, Carl Beck Jr. of Rector and Charles Beck of Nimmons; and seven sisters, Bonnie Raney of Beebe, Brenda Hendley of Nimmons, Diane Thomas of Topeka, Kan., Charlene Schleuder of Denver, Anna Kay Williamson of Wappapello, Mo., Paula Dailey of Leachville and Carlotta Morrison of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Duanita Maulden; and his grandparents, Carl and Violet Beatrice Beck, who raised him; and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, with Donny Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Nimmons Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brett Palmer, Terry Palmer, Gary Redmon, Mike Morgan, Nick Dailey, Wendal Raney and Roger Beck.

Honorary pallbearer will be Adrian Horton.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Gladys Penrod

LAKE CITY -- Graveside services for Gladys Penrod, 94, who died Monday, Aug. 22, at Skilcare Nursing Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in The Old military Cemetery at Sedgwick.

Bookout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 3-5 today at the funeral home.

Born at Cotton Plant and formerly of Lake City, she was a homemaker. She attended Lake City Church of Christ.

Survivors include a sister, Billie Winford of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Katherine Anderson and four brothers.

Sally Louise Rowe

DELL -- Sally Louise Rowe, 74, of Dell died Monday, Aug. 22, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - East in Memphis.

Born at Watertown, N.Y., she was a homemaker and a member of Dell United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Rowe of Dell; two sons, David Rowe of Pittsford, N.Y., and Terry Rowe of Walworth, N.Y.; three daughters, Carol Tilton of Lima, N.Y., Karen Hardin of Marion, N.Y., and Lynn Rowe of Blytheville; eight grandchildren, Steve McNair, Laurie Rowe-Richardson, Kathryn LeeAnn Gee, Jeff Cook, Tad Tilton, Kelly Rowe, Courtiney Lollar and Emily Lollar; two stepgrandchildren, Erin Szostak and Eric McNeil; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Lela Crowner Sloan, her stepfather and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the Rev. Danny Rigney officiating.

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 25 in Rochester, N.Y.

No visitation is planned.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis 38101.

Bernard I. Weinstock

JONESBORO-- Bernard I. Weinstock, 73, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Aug. 23, at his residence.

Born at Cambridge, Mass., he lived in Wellesley Hills, Mass., before moving to Jonesboro in 1969. He served in the United States Army and the U.S. Coast Guard from 1950-1955. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked at Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro for more than 25 years and spent 45 years in the women's shoe industry. He was a former member of the Craighead County Quorum Court, and a member of the Jonesboro Country Club, the Three Oaks Tennis Club and Temple Israel.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Weinstock, of the home; a daughter, Lisa Weinstock Sagely of Fayetteville; three sons, Lt. Col. Howard Lawrence Weinstock of Fredericksburg, Va., Michael Alan Weinstock of Richmond, Va., and Robert Mitchell Weinstock of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, Max Weinstock, Kenneth Weinstock, Ryan Weinstock, Mark Weinstock, Stephen Weinstock, Matthew Weinstock, Jessica Weinstock, Nathan Weinstock, Sarah Sagely and Spencer Sagely.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Temple Israel, the Craighead County Community Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.

Charles Clayton

WYLIE, Texas -- Charles Clayton, 90, of Wylie died Thursday, Aug. 25, at his residence.

Born at Peach Orchard, he was an Army veteran of World War II, a carpenter and a retired employee of McDonnell Douglas. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include four sons, Mickey Bramlett of Lebanon, Mo., and Robert Clayton, Calvin Clayton and John Clayton, all of Wylie; two daughters, Caroline Johnson of Reyno and Patricia Kirby of Corning; and a sister, Alma McIlvoy of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Clayton; a daughter, Donna Courtney; a brother; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Eufa Jane Condray

PARAGOULD -- Eufa Jane Condray, 86, of Paragould died Thursday, Aug. 25, at Paragould Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born at Leeper, Mo., she was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include four sons, Joby Condray of Henderson, Rob Condray and Donald Condray, both of Beech Grove, and Leeroy Condray of Paragould; one daughter, Dorothy Crafton of Beech Grove; one sister, Edith Boyer of Arnold, Mo.; 21 grandchildren ; 33 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Mitch" Condray; one son, Hiram Edward Condray; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heath Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel, with Jeff Hyde and Rayburn Forman officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery at Lafe.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Howard Condray, Greg Condray, Tim Condray, Ronnie Condray, Bryan Wade Miller Jr., and Wayne Stallcup and Weldon Stallcup

Kerry Cook

TRUMANN -- Kerry Verlon Cook, 47, of Trumann died Thursday, Aug. 25, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

He was a truck driver and member of First Baptist Church of Trumann.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Lynn Cook of the home; three daughters, Monica Ray of Trumann and Amber Lynn Cook and Jody Paige Cook, both of the home; his parents, Billy and Betty Cook of Trumann; a sister, Beth Mitchell of Trumann; a brother, Tim Cook of Marion; a half-sister, Marti Terro of Sulphur, La.; a half-brother, Steve Linvell of Sulphur; and two granddaughters, Hannah Ray and Brianna Ray.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Trumann, with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery at Harrisburg under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Tabor, Gussie Aston, Ernie Smith, Jimmy Banks, J.R. McDaniel, Jordan Heavener, Harley Timbs and Dustin Cook.

Honorary pallbearers will include Rick Baine and Shannon Herring.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jerry Dunkin

BLYTHEVILLE -- Jerry Leroy Dunkin, 68, of Blytheville died Thursday, Aug. 25, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born at Etowah, he was a carpenter and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Kathy Watkins and Vicki Durdin, both of Hernando, Miss.; a son, Steven Baker of Memphis; a stepson, Robert Baker of Pensacola, Fla.; his mother, Alma Joiner Dunkin of Blytheville; two sisters, Sandra Gordy and Debbie Vandyke, both of Blytheville; and two brothers, Jewel Dunkin of Mobile, Ala., and Johnny Dunkin of Gosnell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Oliver Dunkin; a sister; and two brothers.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today in Sandy Ridge Cemetery at Burdette with Gary Andrews officiating. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
