CLARKSVILLE — Mildred Orlena England, 92, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in a Clarksville nursing home. She was a homemaker, was of the Assembly of God faith and was the widow of Herman England.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with burial at Mount Vernon cemetery in Clarksville.
She is survived by three sons, Ray England of Clarksville, Cecil England of Ingleside, Texas, and Philip England of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Viola Carey of Clarksville; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David, Mark, Greg, Bryan, Brad and Josh England.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Opal Fielding
WICHITA, Kan. — Opal G. Randolph Carter Fielding, 71, of Wichita, formerly of Sallisaw, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in Wichita. She was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Sallisaw. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was a homemaker, a former nursing home administrator and nurse and a former unit secretary at Hilcrest Hospital in Tulsa.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberlee Yeakley of Wichita; a sister, Louise Mahan of Quinton, Okla.; a brother, Sam Randolph of Sallisaw; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy, Danny and Jerry Baty and Sam and Bobby Randolph.
Pauline Farmer
Pauline Farmer, 69, of Fort Smith died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a retired licensed practical nurse for St. Edward Mercy Medical Center and a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church and ESA Sorority. She served as a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 23 years.
She is survived by her husband, Carl L. Vendel of the home; two daughters, Sonya Hiatt of Fort Smith and Zoe Hathaway of Barling; four stepdaughters, Linda Grebe of Van Buren, Gail Ann Sosa of Clinton, Ala., Betty Ruth Rogers of Kent, Wash., and Doris Lee Bilderback of Lowell; three stepsons, John and Alan Vendel, both of Charleston, and Kenneth Vendel of Clayton, N.C.; a brother, Owen Hopper of Ozark; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Cliff Baptist Church with burial at the U.S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Hopper, Christopher Vendel, Pete Morgan, Chad Upton, Jason Grebe and Lance Dixon.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Larry Michael Smith
Mr. Larry Michael Smith, 51, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a 32-year employee of Whirlpool Corp. in Fort Smith, was past president of the Arkansas Valley Mustang Club in Fort Smith and had been a member of the 188th Tactical Fighter Wing in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheilla Jane Hurd Smith.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren. Mr. Smith will be cremated.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynnetta and Travis Penson of Fort Smith; his mother and father, Nell and John D. Smith of Fort Smith; a sister, Betty Williams of Greenwood; two brothers, John Smith of Van Buren and Louis Smith of Central City; two grandchildren, Paige and Presley Penson, both of Fort Smith; his mother and father-in-law, Melba and James Hurd of Dyer; a sister-in-law, Alta Wilson of Alma; and five nieces, Jonella Graham, Tammy Burrow, Amy Goff, Penny Thompson and Tina Biggs.
Margaret Schmitz
Margaret Schmitz, 92, of Charleston died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Charleston. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston and St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Schmitz; and one son, James Leo Schmitz.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Scranton with burial at St. Ignatius cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose Anna and husband Lewis Dunn of Fort Smith; two sons, Wilfred George Schmitz of Charleston and Robert Joseph and wife Dorothy Schmitz of Stroud, Okla.; three sisters, Lucille Pfeiffer of Paris, Geneva Lasiter of Fort Smith and Dorothy Seville of Ballwin, Mo.; a brother, Johnny Spellins of Subiaco; nine grandchildren, Alan and Randy Schmitz of Tulsa, Debbye Johns of Moore, Okla., Patty Miller of Stroud, Susie Harrison of New Braunfels, Texas, Nancy Smith of Fort Smith and Dr. James, Gary and Scott Schmitz, all of Charleston; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Ruth Andrews Nickols
Ruth Andrews Nickols, 94, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004. She was a retired business woman. She and her husband, M. Dwight, owned and operated ladies clothing stores in Iowa and Texas before moving to Fort Smith where they were associated with the former Tilles Stores. She was with the Tilles Mall Store from the time of opening until her retirement 10 years later. She was also a teacher in the Missouri School system during the depression years.
Mrs. Nickols was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three children, James and wife Judy of Dallas, Robert and wife Rita of Sugar Loaf Lake, and Beverly Placker of Norman, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside service will be held at Hopewell cemetery near Versailles, Mo., with arrangements under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Velma Christine (Fox) Black, 82, of Roseville died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Roseville. She was born in Driggs, was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bessie (Streat) Fox; and two sons, Michael Glen Black and Travis Lee Black.
Funeral service will be at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris at 10 a.m. Wednesday with burial at Carpenter cemetery in Roseville north of Caulksville off Arkansas 288 south under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris.
She is survived by her husband, E.A. (Demp.) Black; three sons, Dempsey Black of Heber, Calif., Dennis Black of Roseville, and Tom Black of Hinesville, Ga.; two sisters, Marine Sullivan of Virginia Beach, Va., and Margie Kirchner of New Blaine; four brothers, Damon Fox of Ratcliff, T.J. Fox of Sun City, Ariz., Wayne Fox of Seattle, and Chester Fox of Ardmore, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and other relatives.

Barbara M. Klenke Foster
Barbara M. Klenke Foster, age 71, of Greensboro, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004 at her residence. She was born Aug. 3, 1933, in Cleveland to the late John Klenke and Hermine B. Dunker Klenke. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard H. Foster of Greensboro; three daughters, Catherine Kirkpatrick and husband Dennis of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Toni Dally and husband Mark of Blakeslee, Pa., and Linda Neville and husband Greg of Edmond, Okla.; a son, Richard Foster II of Oklahoma City; a sister, Joan Klenke of Leeds, Ala.; five grandchildren, Casey Kirkpatrick, Ashley and Shannon Dally and Jason and Trevor Neville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Private committal service will be Wednesday at First Presbyterian Columbarium with a memorial service 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Gerald Woody, 68, of Greenwood died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was retired from Food Plus Grocery in Greenwood.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty cemetery in Greenwood under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Woody of the home; one daughter, Deborah McKinney of Greenwood; two brothers, Carol Woody of Fort Smith and Harold Lee Woody of Sherman, Texas; one grandson, Kyle Lewis McKinney; and several nieces and nephews.

LAMAR — Dayton Milton Johnson, 79, of Lamar died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in his home. He was a farmer and a construction worker, and attended Holman Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville with Masonic honors at Holman cemetery in Lamar.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; a daughter, Teressa Shaw of Lamar; two sons, S.D. and Charles Colvin, both of Lamar; two sisters, Lenora Crutchfield of Lamar and Anna Bixler of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Earl Johnson of Canalau, Mo. and Jeff Johnson of Russellville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

RUSSELLVILLE — Carisa Lynn Ennis, 25, of Russellville died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Clarksville. She was born Dec. 6, 1978, in Arkadelphia. She was a graduate of Russellville High School, attended the Assembly of God, and was an employee of Tyson Processing Plant in Clarksville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Assembly of God in Russellville with burial at Rest Haven cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
She is survived by her parents, Gregory and Debbie Ennis of Russellville; paternal grandmother, Paige Ennis of Russellville; and maternal grandparents, Bobby and Clara Copeland of Arkadelphia.
Dorothy Miller
SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. — Dorothy Y. Miller, 85, of Saranac Lake, formerly of Fort Smith, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Saranac Lake. She was owner and operator of Eagles Store with her husband for over 50 years. She was a member of the United Hebrew Congregation and the first woman to be elected its president, and was a member and past president of the Temple Sisterhood; she was a member of Girls Scouts for over 50 years; she was in the UCT Ladies Club and active in the Fort Smith Little Theater. She was the widow of Theodore Miller.
The family will visit with friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith, with graveside service following visitation at the Jewish cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Stodghill of Seattle and Joan Donaldson of Saranac Lake; a sister, Helen Held of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cliff and Aaron Donaldson, Ben Stodghill, Dana Robertson, David Roberts and Roger Held.

Dale Hendrickson, 84, of Fort Smith died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a maintenance foreman for the Civil Service and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated.
He is survived by his wife, Johnie; three daughters, Sandra Unger and Barbara Thomas, both of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nola Boggs of Greenwood; a son, Maurice Hendrickson of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepsons, George Dyer of Roland and Rick Dyer of Fort Smith; and several grandchildren.

BARLING — Jerry Kerr, 61, of Barling died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born June 15, 1943, in Creston, Iowa. He was a retired journeyman for Jan Taylor Plumbing and Heating.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Barling City cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Tammy Wise of Fort Smith and Jerri Linson of Barling; two sons, Billy Dobbins of Van Buren and Preston Kerr of Fort Smith; a sister, Dixie Hill of Ozark; a brother, Larry Kerr of Creston; and 13 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; three daughters, Rachel Schneider and Tina Gray, both of Clarksville, and Valerie Day of Lamar; four sons, Jesse, Jack and Falon Gray, all of Clarksville, and Mace Gray of Ozark; his parents, Jesse and Ruby Gray; two sisters, Rachel Lacey and Elaine Prest, both of Oklahoma; four brothers, Harley Gray of Arizona, Ronnie and Aaron Gray, both of Oklahoma, and Bonnie Gray of Missouri; and 12 grandchildren.
