Thomas Brune
Thomas Edward Brune, 80, of North Little Rock died on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He was born December 16, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas.
He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Chemical Engineering, was a Korean War Veteran, and worked for Remington Arms Sporting Ammunition retiring in 1990.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golf, and boating.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hazel Brune of Kansas City, Kansas and a son, David Brune, of Avilla, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Mae Inlow Brune; brother, Raymond Brune, of Maitland, Florida; his children, Donna Lee Daly and her husband, Colonel (ret.) John Daly, of Papillion, Nebraska and Dennis Brune and his wife, Jan, of Trumann, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Marc Brune, Paul Brune, Trisha Palmer, Tina Brune, Scott Brune, Caitlyn Brune, Michael Daly and Jennifer Daly; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made (in honor of Thomas Brune) to Arkansas Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203 or Arkansas State Veterans cemetery Beautification Foundation, A.M. Armstrong, Chairman, P.O. Box 1004, Waldron, Arkansas 72958.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170.

Evelyn Harrell
Evelyn Harrell, widow of Richard Stanley Harrell, went home to Heaven Friday morning in Salem, Virginia.
Family members surrounded Mrs. Harrell when she died of natural causes. She was 87.
She worked in an ammunition factory during War World II, cared for child welfare children, raised collie pups and enjoyed growing and canning her own vegetables.
She lived the last year of her life in Roanoke, Virginia.
Evelyn was the eldest daughter of Rachel Barnhart Hammons and Floyd Hammons. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela R.Witcher and her husband Joe of Roanoke, Virginia and Sherry A. Leach and her husband David of Morrilton, Arkansas. She has eight grandchildren; Belinda R. Huffard, Brian D. Witcher, Sherry M. Mullins, Terry D. Leach, Kimberly Evans, Bethany J. Witcher – Axtell, David Leach III and William Leach; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her faithful little feline “Oliver.”
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial will at Sumner cemetery

Robert "Bob" Delk
BORN: August 11, 1950
DIED: November 20, 2009
LOCATION: North Little Rock, Arkansas
Robert (Bob) Delk, 59, of North Little Rock, joined our maker on November 20th, 2009 after a battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 26 years, Janice Delk of N.L.R., two sons, Jason C. Delk of Rison, AR. and Robert S. Peak of Dallas, Tx; a sister, Mary Elam of Mississippi and brother, Vaughan Delk of Florida; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his VFW family and many friends.
Robert served his country for eight years in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Dassault Falcon Jet for fifteen years until his retirement in October of 2006. He loved God and his Country and served them well as a Master Mason of the Blue Lodge, 32nd degree Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #1004, American Legion Post 1. He devoted twenty plus years of this life to helping fellow veterans through his membership in the VFW. He was commander some 14 years and known as “Our Fearless Leader” of Levy Memorial VFW Post 11474. His love and devotion to his fellow comrades will always be remembered by those who know him.
Donations in his honor can be made to St. Jude Hospital of Memphis, VFW Post 11474 Building Fund or Arkansas Hospice.
Visitation with family and friends will be at North Little Rock Funeral Home, Monday, November 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Service by Pastor Brian Merchant will be Tuesday, November 24th at 1:00 P.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Masonic Service. Interment with Full Military Honors at the Arkansas State Veterans cemetery.

Joyce LaVon Johnson Moody
Joyce LaVon “Sue” Johnson Moody, age 78, of Heber Springs, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her home in Heber Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leona Johnson Sr.; her brother, George Johnson Jr., and her loving daughter, Pam Ward. Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thurman Moody; two grandsons, Jeff Ward of Fayetteville and Justin Ward of Heber Springs; one sister, LaVerne Johnson Kelly Walls and husband, Luchen of Hazen and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen with burial in the Hazen cemetery. Arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.

Martha L. Stanley
Martha L. Stanley, age 87, died November 15, 2008.She is survived by her son, Thomas Johnson of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stanley. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Carlisle cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.

Iva Lorene Sims
Iva Lorene Sims, age 78, of Cabot, went home to heaven, Sunday, November 16, 2008. She was born on October 7, 1930 in Osceola, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Flora Coffman Sims. She was a loving, Christian mother belonging to the Assembly of God faith.
She is survivedby her children, Ricky Koon (Kathy) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Charles Koon of Alexander, Arkansas, Jeffrey Koon-Danks (Anne) of Oceanside, California, Michael Koonof Midwest City, Oklahoma, Cynthia Hamric (Bernard) of Hickory Plains, Arkansas, Deborah Chumley (Kenneth) of Alexander, Arkansas, Beverly Koon (Julie) of Cabot, Arkansas, Nancy Walker (Rick) of Cabot, Arkansas and William Koon (Nikki) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at New Horizon Baptist Church in Ward with Bro. Richard West officiating. Pallbearers were Bernard (Spook) Hamric, Rick Walker, Jeremy Chumley, Garrett Walker, Bernard D. Hamric, Tony Waters and Kenneth Chumley. Graveside services were 2 p.m., Wednesday at Chickalah Hill cemetery south of Dardanelle with Bro. Dennis Holmes officiating. Arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, (501) 843-5816.

Judy Lynn Bean
Judy Lynn Bean, 60, of Des Arc, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008. Survivors include one son, Robert Hughes; one sister, Helen Seymore; two grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 a.m., Wednesday at Garth Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery by Garth Funeral Home.

Dr. James O. Anderson, DD
Dr. James O. Anderson, DD, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 21 in Little Rock. He received his early education in the Lonoke and Fargo, Ark., schools and received his B.A. from Philander Smith College. He later received his Doctor of Divinity degree from Arkansas Baptist College.Dr. Anderson taught in the Hazen and Pulaski County School Districts and was pastor of Wofford Chapel Baptist Church in Casscoe and Poplar Creek B.C. in Crocketts Bluff, Ark.
Rev. Anderson is predeceased by his wife, Leola Culberson and son, Calvin Bledsoe. He is survived by son, Othelum, of Little Rock and daughter, Mary Lee Jordan, of Savannah. Ga.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at First Baptist Church Highland Park, 3800 W. 18th St., Little Rock. Arrangements by Dubisson Funeral Home, 1851 Marshall St., Little Rock, 374-5025.

BILLIE SUE FELKER
August 17, 1930 - June 11, 2013
Billie Sue Felker, 82, of Jacksonville died Tuesday, June 11, 2013. She was born August 17, 1930 in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Elbert and Muriel Meadows Andrews and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother. She made camping in a tent like staying in a five star hotel. She was a tireless horse show mom, softball cheerleader and no one will ever be able to match her cornbread hushpuppies and pinto beans. She was our seamstress, our nurse and our example of the art of homemaking as it used to be. She loved a good yard sale, a flea market, could spend hours in Sam’s and really enjoyed eating at Olive Garden. She dearly loved her family and her neighbors, Carolyn and Sharon and will be greatly missed by all of us. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Felker was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Felker and brothers, James and Leon Andrews.
Mrs. Felker is survived by her daughters, Alice Singleton (Jerry), Debbie Davenport, Mary Felker and Sandra Hambrick (Steven); grandchildren, David Hicks, Jon Singleton, Felicia Cash, Amy Old, Phillip Hambrick, Will Hambrick and Owen Hambrick; great grandchildren, Chasey Singleton, Caleb Cash, Thomas Old, Olivia Old, Laney Hambrick and Rylee Hambrick as well as her siblings, Charles Andrews, Wayne Andrews, Larry Andrews, Diana Essary, Jeannett Anderson, Bernice Latch, Elenor Donald and Mary Lois Cooke.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Walter officiating with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501)982-2136. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Susie Evelyn Nichols
Susie Evelyn Nichols, age 66, of Hazen, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Nichols; mother, Ethel King; fathers, Amberse Jasper and Ed King; sisters, Lucille Colclasure and Barbara Perry, and granddaughter, Lea Whaley.
Susie is survived by three children, Bill Nichols and wife, Judy of Weiner, Arkansas, Dorthey Woodall and husband, Keith of Carlisle and Donnie Nichols and wife, Carla of Carlisle; three brothers, Bill Campbell and Tom Jasper of Hazen and Cliff King of Little Rock; one sister, Sandra White of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Robert Nichols and wife, Melissa of Brooklyn, Arkansas, B.J. Nichols and wife Stephanie of Des Arc, Arkansas, Anthony and LeAnn Woodall and Dusty and Dylan Nichols all of Carlisle and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008, at the Center Point Baptist Church near Hazen with burial in the Center Point cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Loudermilk, Bob Hollyfield, Sherrill Copeland, Scott Copeland, Glen Holmes and Charles Foster. Pallbearers were John Caviness, Andy Hill, Vernon Caviness, Todd Jones, Kent Weddle and Brent Weddle.
Memorials may be made to the Center Point cemetery C/O Gail Wallace, 2826 Hwy. 249 North, Hazen, Ark. 72064. Arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.

Lelo Tilley

July 22, 1928 - May 30, 2013
Lelo E. Tilley, 85, of Jacksonville passed away on May 30, 2013. She was born July 22, 1928 in Germany and was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her sister Maria Stewart and a host of other family and friends.

John Edwin Percefull
John Edwin “Ed” Percefull, age 97, passed away Nov. 18, 2008, in Little Rock. Born in Carlisle July 25, 1911, to Marshall and Pearl Rice Percefull on the family farm, he was the second son and child of 11 children. A lifelong farmer and member of Hamilton Baptist Church, Deacon, with 43 years as Treasurer, he was Past Master of the Carlisle Masonic Lodge and Past Worthy Patron of the Carlisle Eastern Star.
He is survived by his only child Larry Way (Ellie) Percefull of East End (Saline County); grandson Brian (Toni) Percefull of Sherwood; granddaughter Shelli Percefull of Furlow; great-grandson Alex Percefull; great-granddaughter Brittney Percefull, both of Sherwood; one brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Percefull of Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews and a large extended family he loved as his own; two granddaughters and husbands, three great-granddaughters and husbands, one great-grandson and three great-great-granddaughters.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Hamilton Baptist Church, with burial following in Hamilton cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hamilton Baptist Church or cemetery. Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
