Odessa D. Haynes
FORT WORTH, Texas - Odessa Doss Haynes, 94, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998.
Born April 3, 1904, she was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Benny Haynes Sr.; one son, Grady Haynes; and her parents, Frank and Cycemasa Doss.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Benny Haynes Jr. and Lenwd and Josephine Haynes, all of Bradley, Charles and Mabel Haynes of Hope, and Claude Haynes of Shreveport, La; and four daughters and three sons-in-law, Essie Lee and Monroe Howard of Fort Worth, Louise and Johnny Fleming of Lewisville, Cleo Doss of San Francisco and Eardene and Fred Hamilton of Mountain Pine.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Union Hill Baptist Church, Canfield, with the Rev. William Haynes officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Bradley.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Arrangements are by Brandon's Mortuary, Hope.

Willie F. Holt Sr.
ARKADELPHIA - Willie F. Holt Sr., 61, of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, in a Hot Springs hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1936, in Forrest, Miss., to Jessie and Mattie Mowdy Holt, he was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, worked for ICC Railroad and Clark County Road Department, was a carpenter and member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Fite Holt; two sons, James W. Holt and Willie F. Holt Jr., both of Arkadelphia; two daughters, Bobbie Jean Holt of Mountain Pine and Rosezetta A. Luna of Jacksonville, N.C.; a brother, the Rev. David Holt of Morton, Miss.; three sisters, Kate Mathis and Jeanette Armstrong, both of Crystal Springs, Miss., and Betty Moudy of Pelahatchie, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Calhoun officiating.

Burial will be in Round Hill cemetery near Willow.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

James E. Hudson
BAYTOWN, Texas - James Edward Hudson, 70, of Baytown, Texas, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998.
Born Dec. 26, 1927, in Dalark, to Bud and Lillie Digby Hudson, he was a retired butcher.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Parker Hudson; one son, James E. Hudson Jr. of San Antonio; two stepsons, Mike Harrison of Laporte, Texas, and Terry Harrison of Kilgore, Texas; three daughters, Becky Hudson and Linda Hudson, both of San Antonio, and Tammy Hudson of Singers, Texas; one brother, L.B. Hudson of Camden; four sisters, Elmer Efird of Malvern, Virginia Kling of Hot Springs and Annie Rucker and Katie Gilbert, both of Texarkana; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Fendley officiating.

Burial will be in Macedonia cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.

Milton Neal
MOUNTAIN PINE - Milton Neal, 92, of Mountain Pine died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, in Lake Charles, La.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Gross Funeral Home chapel.

Burial will be in Godwin cemetery.

Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Desser L. Perry
LITTLE ROCK - Desser L. Perry, 67, of Little Rock, formerly of Hot Springs, died Monday, June 29, 1998.
Born May 9, 1931, in Haynesville, La., to Otis Lane and Pearline Wilson, she was a Jehovah's Witness in the South Congregation.

Survivors include three sons, Nathaniel Lane of Malvern and Coy Lee Perry and Billy Doyle Perry, both of Hot Springs; a daughter, LaVerne Perry Duvall of Little Rock; three brothers, Odell Lane, John Calvin Wilson and Andrew Wilson III; four sisters, Little Dale Berry, Lean Wilson, Patricia Coleman and Bobby Smith; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home chapel with Elder Clemnon White officiating.

Burial will be in Crestview cemetery, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Lyda A. Wolf
Lyda A. Wolf, 87, of Hot Springs died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, in a local hospital.
Born June 27, 1911, in Norman, she was owner of Lyda's Art Studio, a member of Arkansas Hair Dressers Association, Central Bowling Lanes, St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a choir member, a volunteer at St. Joseph's Regional Health Center and Retreat League of Coury House at Subiaco. She was predeceased by her husband, Dan E. Wolf.

Survivors include one son, John E. Wolf of Hot Springs; two daughters, Jane E. Robertson of Plano, Texas, and Anne M. Diggs of Bonnerdale; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Gross Funeral Home chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Leo Riedmuller as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be John Edward Wolf Jr., Daniel E. Wolf II, Vincent J. Wolf II, David B. Robertson, Tom Wolf Robertson, Jim R. Diggs, Paul E. Diggs and Trey Robertson.

Burial will be in Hickory Grove cemetery, Bismarck.

Joe Byers
DARDANELLE - Joe Byers, 87, of Dardanelle died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in a Dardanelle nursing center.
Born May 9, 1911, in Pike City to Ira C. and Allie Wlard Byers, he was a power plant operator the Fayetteville V.A. hospital and World War II U.S. Navy veteran and member of Dardanelle First Baptist Church and Heaven-Bound Sunday Schl class.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sadie Byers of Dardanelle; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jolene Maupin and Dr. James L. Maupin of Dardanelle and Inez Cline of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Christina Maupin of Dardanelle, Bill Cline of Hot Springs and Nancy Cline Minton of Story; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Dardanelle with Dr. Bob Parsley and the Rev. Kent Tallent officiating.

Burial was in Brearly cemetery.

Pallbearers were the Rev. Milton Cowling, Pete Tilmon, Orville Brown, Roy Aday, Jimmy Martin, Frank Johnston, the Heaven-Bound class and First Baptist Church's pastor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent the building fund of First Baptist Church.

Alice Dunson
LANGLEY - Alice Dunson, 89, of Langley died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998.
Born Feb. 20, 1909, at Albert Pike to William Elisha and Caroline Febea Hunter Rainwater, she was a retired teacher, graduate of Henderson State Teachers College and member of Daisy Church of Christ. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude Dunson; a brother, Albert Rainwater; and a sister, Esther Prince.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Yvonne Dunson of Langley; a grandson, John Dunson; a granddaughter, Theresa Stevens; a great-granddaughter; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Juanita Rainwater of Mena; a niece; and a nephew.

Services will be 2 p.m Thursday at Langley Hall Church with the Rev. J.B. Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Langley Hall cemetery.

Arrangements are by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwd.

Elmer L. Flowers
ARKADELPHIA - Elmer Lee Flowers, 79, of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, in an Arkadelphia hospital.
Born July 16, 1919, in DeRoche to Ira Elmer and Mittie Owens Flowers, he was a crane operator retired from Reynolds Metal Co. and member of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a son, Tim Wayne Flowers, and three brothers, Cotton Flowers, A.J. Flowers and Fred Flowers.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Flowers of Arkadelphia; a brother, John Flowers of Sheridan; a sister, Evelyn Shockey of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at DeRoche cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to DeRoche cemetery Fund.

Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.

Everett A. Mre
Everett A. Mre, 68, of Hot Springs died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at home.
Born Oct. 23, 1930, in St. Louis, he was predeceased by his father, Everett F. Mre.

Survivors include his stepmother, Agnes Mre of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Services were Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Oak Ridge cemetery in Missouri with Spencer Furby officiating.

Arrangements were by McDaniel Funeral Service Inc., Kennett, Mo.
