Haasis, Sophia, Mrs. Sophia Hassis, aged 68, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Jarvis, 1409 Rock street, last night at 10:15 o'clock. She was a native of France, and was born in Alsace-Lorraine, removing to the United States when a young girl. She had been living in this city for three years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. Jarvis and Mrs. C. W. Walthers of Little Rock; two sons, E.L. and Albert E. Hassis of Collinsville, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Fred Wolters of Little Rock, and nine grandchildren. The body will be sent to Collinsville, Ill., tomorrow night by the Healey & Roth Undertaking Company. 9/9/1917 The body of Mrs. Sophie Haasis, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Jarvis, 1409 Rock street Saturday night was sent to Corlinville, Ill, at 7:45 o'clock last night by Healey & Roth for burial. Pallbearers will be E. E. Johnson, Gus Grady, George Reicharts, William Schmidt, Andy Karcher and Fred Walthers. 9/10/1917 Hackler, Irene, Mountain Home, May 3 - Miss Irene Hackler, aged 14, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H. A. Hackler, died Tuesday of measles and pneumonia. 5/4/1917 Hadden, W. E., W. E. Hadden, aged 27, formerly of Little Rock, died at Halhart, Tex., yesterday, according to a message received here yesterday by friends. The body will be brought through Little Rock, going to Russellville, Ky., today, and will be in the Rock Island baggage room from 11:15 this morning until 3:10 this afternoon. Mr. Hadden was a conductor on the Rock Island. Members of the Order of Railway Conductors and friends of Mr. Hadden are asked to go to the depot while the body is there. 5/8/1917 Haddick, W.N., Crossett, June 28 - Mrs. W. N. Haddick of Crossett died in a local hospital Tuesday. 6/29/1917 Haden, Hugh, Marion, Jan 27 - Hugh Haden, aged 38, well known attorney of eastern Arkansas, died at his home here early this morning. He was a son of the late Dr. J. T. Haden of Crawfordville, and was born there August 19, 1883. He was married October 24, 1905 at Searcy to Miss Luella Percival and is survived by her and one child. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at Crawfordsville. 1/28/1922 Hafford, V.A., The body of V. A. Hafford, aged 39, who died at 2:40 yesterday afternoon at a local hospital, is being held at the Healey & Roth parlors pending instructions from relatives. He is survived by his wife. 7/26/1917 Halburt, J.A., J.A. Halburt, aged 45, manager of the Morrilton Compress Company, Morrilton, was instantly killed, and Lawrence Cook, night watchman at the compress, was seriously injured about 7 o'clock yesterday morning near Palarm, 14 miles north of Little Rock. Mr. Halburt lost control of an automobile he was driving and the car turned turtle into a ditch at the side of the road Halburt is survived by his wife and four children. 7/5/1917 Hale, Dr. G.T., El Dorado, March 3 - Dr. G T Hale of Junction City, aged 86, one of Union county's oldest citizens, died Thursday morning at hs home. He came to this county in the early 70's and began the practice of medicine at Hillsboro, where he lived until Junction City was founded. He moved there about 17 years ago and continued his practice until a few months ago, when he became ill with stomach trouble. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon. 3/4/17 Junction City, March 3 - Dr. G T Hale, aged 83, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Harris, yesterday. He was born in Blunt county, Tennessee, and emigrated to Springfield, Mo., where he married Miss Denny. They were among the first settlers in this section. He was a practicing physician for more than 40 years. He leaves his wife, aged 75, four daughters and many grandchildren. 3/4/1917 Haley, Henry, Sheridan, July 25 - The body of Henry Haley, aged 26 years, who was drowned in Little River while bathing with friends Sunday, arrived here yesterday for burial. Several attempted to rescue young Haley, but failed to reach him in time. This body was recovered a few minutes later, but efforts to revive him failed. He was engaged to be married to Miss Pearl Hamilton of Erin. 7/26/1917 Hall, C.O., C.O. Hall, aged 50, of Hazen died at a local hospital at 2 yesterday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, one son, Harry Hall; three daughters, Misses Ruby, Gladys and Ruth Hall, all of Hazen. The body will be sent to Hazen this morning by P.H. Ruebel & Co. 3/30/1917 Hall, D.J., Okolona, Feb. 5 - D.J. Hall, aged 53, died at his home here Sunday of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife and seven children; his father, R.K. Hall; a brother, H.K. Hall, and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Osborne and Mrs. Forest Hall. 2/6/1917 Hall, Elizabeth, Mrs. Elizabeth Hall, 73, died at 3 o'clock yesterday morning at the family residence, 1417 West Thirty-third street. She is survived by two children. Mrs. John M Moore and C.M. Hall. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence at 1 o'clock this afternoon and from Primrose chapel at 2 o'clock. The Rev. D.P. Baker will officiate. Mrs. Hall was a native of Ohio. She resided in Little Rock for 26 years. 4/5/1915 Hall, Mrs. J.J., Texarkana, Jan. 6 - Mrs. J.J. Hall, aged 79, died Thursday night at the home of her brother, Esquire G.W. Ragland, a mile north of town. 1/7/1917 Hall, Mary, Mountain Home, Jan 4 - Mrs. Mary Hall, aged 85, one of the oldest residents of Baxter county, died at her home near County Line, Saturday. She was the widow of the late Elisha Hall, one of he best known farmers in Baxter county. 1/5/1922 Hall, R., R. Hall, aged 81, Banner, Ky, who died Saturday, will be buried in the Hall family cemetery near Banner at 2:30 p.m. today. He is survived by four sons, I N and K F Hall of Banner, Burley Hall of Pendleton, Ky and Melvin Hall of Dumas; one daughter, Mrs. Lee Zuber of Sweet Home; a brother, Judge M Hall of Allen, Ky; 30 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hall was a member of the Baptist church. 1/20/1930 Hall, Willie Joe, Okolona, July 19 - Willie Joe Hall, 23 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hall died Wednesday at his home near here of typhoid. He is survived by his wife and one child, his parents, three brothers, Chester, Wendall and Bryant; and four sisters, Faye, Sallie, Lela and Emma Ree. 7/20/1917 Haltom, Ella, Mrs. Ella Haltom aged 27, died at 2 p.m. yesterdy afternoon at the family residence, 1022 West Twenty-first street. She was born in Arkadelphia and is survived by her husband, W. M. Haltom, a construction foreman at the cantonment; one son, four daughters, two sisters, Mrs. Stella Madlock and Mrs. Birdie Pinnell, both of North Little Rock; one brother, Clarence Ray of Little Rock, and her mother, Mrs. Susie Ray, also of this city. The Rev. B. F. Cato, pastor of the First Christian church, will hold the funeral services at the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Orkland cemetery. 10/15/1917 Halton, Gladys, Prescott, May 5 - Miss Gladys Halton, the 14 year old daughter of Mrs. E.D. Jackson died at the family residence this morning at 8 o'clock after a three days illness with appendicitis, complicated with congestion. The body will be taken to Rosston, this county, tomorrow, where the funeral services will be conducted in the afternoon. 5/6/09 Ham, J. C., J. C. Ham of Rushing, Stone county, died at a hospital here at 3 a.m. yesterday. He is survived by a brother, W. A. Ham of Rushing. The body is held at the Healey & Roth parlors. 1/16/1930 Hamilton, Archibald, Camden, July 23- Archibald Hamilton, aged 70, former state senator, died at his home here today. He was born in Alabama and came to Arkansas when a young man. He served in the Confederate army, and was a member of the Klu Klux Klan. He was sheriff of Ouachita county from 1890 to 1898, and a member of the House of Representatives two terms. Later he was elected state senator from this district, but resigned furing the last session of the legislature on account of ill health. He is survived by his wife and three sons, The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow from the family home by the Rev. William Wright. 7/24/1917 Hamilton, Bettie Lee, Bettie Lee Hamilton, the eight month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Hamilton, died at the family residence, 709 East Seventh street, Argenta, at 3:30 o'clock yesterday. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. F.D. Baars, pastor of the First Argenta Baptist church. The body will be sent to Prescott this afternoon by Owens & Co. 9/15/1917 Hamilton, Infant, The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton, East Seventeenth street, died yesterday afternoon. She is survived by her parents and a twin brother. The body was send to Adonia by Healey & Roth for burial. 3/3/17 The body of the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hamilton, East Seventeenth street, who died at the residence Friday, was sent to Adonia yesterday by Healey & Roth, following funeral services held at the residence at 3 p.m. 3/4/1917 Hamilton, J.R., Rush, May 6 - J.R. Hamilton, justice of the peace of this township, died at his home Wednesday of dropsy. He had been a resident of this community for years. 5/7/1917 Hamilton, J.S., Benton, June 10 - The Rev. J.S. Hamilton. ed 80, for many years a Baptist preacher, died at his home here Wednesday. Funeral services were conducted by the Elder J.A. Smith of Little Rock. 6/11/1917 Hamilton, Joe, Pine Bluff, Sept. 4 - Joe Hamilton, aged 74, a rural route carrier, in Grant county, died in his buggy this morning as he was preparing to begin his daily delivery. Despite his age, he had been making daily deliveries for a number of years. 9/5/1917 Hamilton, Joe, Sheridan, Sept 5 - Joseph Hamilton, aged 70 years, died suddenly yesterday from heart disease. He is survived by his wife and several children. 9/6/1917 Hamilton, Laura, St. Joe. May 2 - Miss Laura Hamilton who underwent an operation for Appendicitis in Little Rock in February, died here this evening. At the time it was thought the operation was successful and that she would recover, but she took a relapse three weeks ago. 5/03/1909 Hamlen, Mary, Harrisburg, July 20- Mrs. Mary Hamlin died suddenly at her home here Wednesday. 7/21/1917 Hamlin, Charles, Clarksville, Jan 7 - Charles A Hamlin, aged 82, died at the home of his grandson, E J Williams, at Knoxville Sunday night. He is survived by one granddaughter and four grandsons. 1/8/1930 Hammans, Dr. A. C., Warren, Jan 3 Dr. A C Hammans, aged 50, died at his home in Warren yesterday morning. He was born at Choudrant, La, and graduated from Tulane University dental school. He moved to Warren in 1904 and has practiced dentistry here for 26 years. He is survived by his father, two brothers and one sister of Lincoln parish, Louisiana, his wife and six children, Bob, Grace, Rex, Pat, Virginia and Jack Hammans. 1/4/1930 Hammett, Edgar, Morrilton, March 30 - Edgar Hammett, formerly a resident of Morrilton died recently in Dadesville, Ala., where he was in the moving picture show business. He leaves his mother and a brother, both here. 3/31/1917 Hammett, Mrs. Inez, Paragould, Jan 18- Mrs. Inze Hammett, aged 50, a resident of near Marmaduke, died Tuesday in St. Louis. She ws the widow of the late Dr. Oscar Hammett. 1/19/1930 Hammock, Cheryl Annette, d. 12/7/90 Camden. ed 29; Survived: Father, William Hammock; Mother, Florence Hammock; Brothers, William Mark, John Douglas Hammock; Sisters, Glenda Hammock, Peggy Berry; Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayburn Moore; Interment: Heavenly Rest cemetery. 12/12/90 Hammond, D.M., Antoine, March 31 - D.M. Hammond, 86, died yesterday from a paralytic stroke. Mr. Hammond had been a resident of Antione about 21 years. He was driving a stage coach from Malvern to Hot Springs when it was robbed by the James and Younger boys. The coach is in Hot Springs now. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. 4/1/1915 Hammond, J.W., J.W. Hammond, 66 years aold, died at the family residence, 1623 West 17th street, at 8:45 last night. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Bryant, Misses Anna, Eva and Ruby Hammond, and a son, H.H. Hammond, all of Little Rock; also by two brothers, J., of Terrell, Tex., and P.H. of Beeville, Tex. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. 5/10/1917 Hammond, W.H., W.H. Hammond, aged 58, died at 9:45 last night at St. Vincent's infirmary. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. S.E. Barclay of Pittstown, Pa., and Mrs. F.G. Blocher and Miss Alice P. Hammond, both of Little Rock. Mr. Hammond, a native of Hot Springs, was a resident of Little Rock for 47 years and was the son of Dr. W.H and Juliet E. Hammond of Hot Springs. He was employed for several years by J.M. Blocher as a printer on the Gazette and later worked for the Woodruff Printing Company here. After working for several years as a deputy in Pulaski county circuit clerk's office, Mr. Hammond accepted a position as chief clerk in the office of G.S.A. Deane, land commissioner for Iron Mountain here, where he remained for 26 years. Funeral services were held at 5 this afternoon from the residence of his sister, Mrs. F.G. Blocher, 823 West Third street, in charge of the Rev. C.F. Parker. Burial will be in Mount Holly cemetery. 6/26/1917 Hampel, Lee, Lee Hampel, 45 years old, died at 4 yesterday morning at the family residence, 1423 Wolfe street, after an illness of about 10 days. Mr. Hampel was born in Jefferson county, Missouri, and had lived in Little Rock for about 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adelia Hampel; three sons, Carl, Norma and Lee Hampel Jr.; four daughters, Misses Adelia, Glayds, Mildred and Mary Katherine; three brothers, Peter Hampel of Bigelow, Fred Hampel of Hot Springs and Sylvester Hampel of Little Rock; five sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Snider of St. Louis, Mrs. Mary Noll and Mrs. Katie Hunderman of St. Vincent, Mrs. Louise Morganstein of Montana and Mrs. Tresa Snyder of Little Rock. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 8:30 tomorrow morning. The body will then be removed to the St. Edward's German Catholic church, Ninth and Eherman streets, where mass will be said. The Rev. Morris Rohner will officiate. Pallbearers will be Honorary: Dr. arl Bentley, Dr. Homer Higgin, J.C. Imbry and M.O. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. 1/30/1917 Hancock, B.A., Ozark, June 28 - B.A. Hancock, a pioneer business man, died at his home here yesterday. 6/29/1917 Hancock, Mrs. N., Como, Feb. 8 - Mrs. N. Hancock, 56 years old, died here today of pneumonia. She is survived by her husband and four children. Funeral services will be held tomorrow forenoon. 2/9/1917 Hand, John, Rush, Feb. 7 - John Hand, who for years has been justice of the peace, died last night of consumption. 2/8/1917 Haney, George R., Mammoth Springs, Feb. 9 - George B Haney, aged 55; a farmer, died yesterday near Camp, of pneumonia. 2/10/1917 Haney, W.J., W.J. Haney, a traveling man whose home is at New Hope, Tenn., died at a local hospital at 1:30 o'clock this (Friday) morning. His wife was at the bedside. 4/2/1915 Hankins, Rev. Masters M., The Rev Masters M. Hankins, aged 72, Episcopal minsiter of Longport, NJ and a winter resident of Little Rock, died at 11:35 last night at his home 107 East Eighth street, following an illness of only a few hours. Mr. Hankins attended the meeting of the T J Churchill chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy last night and delivered the invocation. Upon his return home, he became ill and a physician was summoned, but the minister died shortly afterward. Acute indigestion is believed to have caused death. While a resident of Little Rock for many years, Mr. Hankins was rector of Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal) at Longport, NJ, during the summer. The church is supported by a summer colony, and Mr. Hankins and his wife spent their winters in Little Rock. Mr. Hankins was in business in Little Rock until about eight years ago, when he began studying for the ministry. He was ordained about six years ago and since that time had been assistant rector of Christ church. He served as acting rector of Christ church for about five months prior to the assignment of the present rector, the Rev W F Witsell. The Rev Mr. Witsell, who is in Fort Smith, was shocked by the news of his assistant's death when informed by the Gazette early this (Thursday) morning. He planned to return to Little Rock this morning. The Rev. Mr. Hankins married Miss Juliette Churchill, daughter of the late Gen T J Churchill of the Confederate army. His wife survives him. 1/16/30; - Funeral services for the Rev. M M Hankins, who died at his home, 107 East Eighth street, Wednesday night will be held at Christ church, Capitol avenue and Scott street at 3 p.m. tomorrow with Rev W P Witsell in charge. Burial will be in Mt. Holly cemetery in charge of P H Ruebel & Co. 1/18/30; -Funeral services for the Rev. M M Hankins, who died suddenly Wednesday night at his home, 107 east Eighth street, will be held at Christ church, Capitol avenue and Scott street, at 3 p.m. today in charge of the Rev W P Witsell. Burial will be in Mt. Holly cemetery. Honorary; Gordon N Peay, James Penick, George G Worthen, S P Scott, R D Fenton, Moorhead Wright, Deadrick H Cantrell, C E Ratcliffe, J Curran Conway, F B T Holenberg and Claude C Thompon. 1/19/1930 Hanley, Thomas L., Hot Springs, April 1 - Thomas L. Hanley, former sheriff of Garland county and one of the best known residents of Hot Springs, died at his home here early this morning of apoplexy. He leaves his wife, a brother and two sisters. Mr. Hanley was active in local politics. He was appointed sheriff by former Governor Hays following the death of Sheriff Charles C. Webb. His efficiency in office was complimented from the bench by Judge Wood. He had lived here 15 years, coming from Chicago. Mr. Hanley's sudden death caused surprise in the city. He attended to his duties as usual yesterday. Grady Hays, son of former Governor Hays was a guest at his home yesterday and remained with him until late last night. The body will be taken for Interment to Olean, N.Y., where Mr. Hanley's mother is buried. 4/2/1917 Hanna, Mary B., Mrs. Mary B. Hanna, 79, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.L. Greer, 2112 Ringo street, at 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 8 o'clock this morning. The Rev. J.M. Workman will officiate. The body will be sent to Beebe by P.H. Ruebel & Co., 112 East Sixth street, for burial. 4/18/1915 Hannan, Mrs. Anna, Van Buren, Jan 21 - Mrs. Anna Hannan, aged 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J H Butler in Van Buren last night. 1/22/1930 Hansford, Rev. Irvin, The Rev. Irvin Hansford, 26 years old, died at a local hospital at 7 o'clock last night. He is survived by his wife and one son, aged five; by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Hansford; four brothers, F.M. and P.R. of Donaldson, and the Rev. W.H. of Eagle Mills, and the Rev. E.L. of Kinder, La. The body is being held by P.H. Ruebel & Co., awaiting funeral arrangements. 1/4/1917 Hansen, Mrs. Ruah, Rogers, May 16, - Mrs. Ruah E. Hansen of Independence, Kan., formerly a resident of Rogers, died here yesterday at Dr.Love's sanitarium. 5/17/1917 Haralson, C.G., Pine Bluff, Sept. 29 - Charles G. Haralson, aged 40 years, died at his home here today after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was a traveling salesman for the Bahlau Produce Company and became ill while on a trip last week. He is survived by his wife and two children; a sister, Mrs. Bea Wilson of Sulphur Springs; a brother, John Haralson of Pine Bluff,and his parents, The Rev. and Mrs. J.B. Haralson of Sulphur Springs. 9/30/1917 Hardin, Mattie May, Okolona, Jan. 25 - Mrs. Mattie May Hardin, aged 30 years, wife of Aleck Hardin, died Tuesday afternoon. She is survived by her husband and two children and by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Shakleford Sr., two sisters, Mrs. William Huffman and Mrs. Dyer Baber, and three brothers Erith, Marion and Bert Shackleford, all of Okolona. 1/26/1917 Hardin, Milton, Malvern, March 3 - Milton, the two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Hardin, died yesterday morning. 3/4/1917 Hardin, Ollie May, Pine Bluff, July 7 - Ollie May Hardin, 12 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hardin of Kedron, died last night at Kedron. 7/8/1917 Hardin, W.M., The body of W.M. Hardin, aged 60, who died at 11:15 yesterday morning at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. J.W. Ivey, Nineteenth street and Forest Park avenue, will be sent this morning by Healey & Roth to Booneville for burial. Funeral services were held at 7 last night at the residence. Mr. Hardin was a merchant of Booneville and was visiting his daughter here. He was a native of Georgia. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Ivey; three sons, Ben, Gordon and Moody Hardin of Booneville; a brother, J.T. Hardin of Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. J.V. Sanders of Little Rock. He was a member of the Masonic order of Booneville and the Woodmen of the World. 7/12/1917 Hardv, Annie, Annie Hardv, at Paragould, April 29. 5/3/1909 Hardy, Harl, Harl Hardy, aged 14, son of Mrs. H.T. Hardy, a widow, 1314 North street, died at the City hospital at 6 p.m. from the effects of burns received yesterday afternoon when he and his younger brother waded into a sewer running under the Iron Mountain station into which the steam from the exhaust pipes from the power plant is discharged. 6/27/1917 Hargraves, J.L., Forrest City, June 27 - Mrs. J.L. Hargraves, mother of Prosecuting Attorney S.S. Hargraves, died Saturday night in a hospital at Memphis, following an operation. 6/28/1917 Harkness, Frank P., Hope, April 16 - Frank P. Harkness, deputy county clerk, died at his home in Fulton this morning after a few days' illness of pneumonia. Mr. Harkness was one of the best known men in this setion, having been connected with the courthouse force in this county for 30 years. He was circuit clerk for two terms and has served as deputy in almost every office in the county. The funeral will be held tomorrow at Washington, where he lived for many years. The county clerk's office will be closed tomorrow. 4/17/1915 Harmon, Herman A., Herman A. Harmon, aged 24, died yesterday afternoon in Newport. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Farmer of Ireton, Okla., two brothers and two sisters of Oklahoma. Two uncles, W.A. Harmon, 5106 West Tenth street, and Sam F. Harmon, 1004 West Nineteenth street, live in Little Rock. The body was brought to Little Rock last night and will be sent this afternoon by Healy & Roth to Bradley, Okla., for burial. 6/10/1917 Harnwell, Alyda S., Funeral services for Mrs. Alyda S. Harnwell, formerly of Little Rock, who died at the home of George H. Lee in New York city Saturday, will be held at Mount Holly cemetery at 10 this morning. The body will arrive at 7 this morning, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Lee, and will be removed to the cemetery by James Cook & Son Co. The Rev. W.G. Parker, rector of Christ's Episcopal church, will officiate. 1/2/1917 Harold, Lee, Paragould, Oct. 6 - Lee Harold died at his home at Bard, seven miles east of this city, Thursday night. He is survived by his wife and four children. 10/7/1917 Harp, Mrs. James, Eureka Springs, Jan 14 - Mrs. James Harp died at her home here Monday. 1/15/1922 Harper, Esther Alice, Mrs. Esther Alice Harper, 18 years old, died at a local hospital at 2 yesterday afternoon. An infant son died soon after the death of the mother. Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband, Ernest B. Harrington, aged 80 a veteran of Company E. Sixth Arkansas, in the Civil war, died at his home here yesterday morning. He was born and reared in Jefferson county near Rob Roy. He served four years in the Confederate army. M., Eugene Moriarty Harrington, aged 59, 2010 Gaines street, died suddenly at 9:30 last night, a few hours after returning from a business trip to Benton Mr. Harrington apparently was in perfect health, and went to Benton early in the afternoon with A J Reap, vice president of the Exchange National Bank. Returning about 5 p.m., Mr. Harrington sat in his living room to read. At 8:45 he called a neighboring doctor and said he had a slight attack of indigestion. The doctor made an examination and they talked for a few minutes. The doctor went to the telephone to order some medicine from the drug store. As the connection was established, he heard a groan. He dropped the telephone, rushed to the side of Mr. Harrington, who was outstretched on the floor, and found him dead. "He was apparently in perfect health." the doctor said, "and we laughed an joked as I made my examination. Death took him in a half minute while I was at the telephone." Mr. Harrington was born in Crete, Neb and came to Little Rock in 1898 as cashier of the Missouri Pacific freight office here. In 1901 he joined the Exchange National bank and continued in that employment until 1927 when he resigned to become president of the Underwriters Insurance Association of California, with offices in the Exchange National bank building. He was cashier of the bank when he resigned. Mr. Harrington is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Harrington; three brothers, W. E. Harrington of Little Rock, John Harrington of Shreveport, and George Harrington of Chicago, and three sisters, the Misses Loretta, Lillian and Julia Harrington, all of Little Rock The body is being held at the Healey & Roth parlors pending funeral arrangements. 1/20/1930 - Funeral services for E M Harrington, president of the Underwriters Insurance Association of California who died suddenly Sunday night at his home, 2010 Gaines street, will be held at St. Andrew's cathedral at 10 a.m. today in charge of the Rt. Harris, former resident of Pine Bluff and conductor on the Cotton Belt railway died recently at Ocala, Fla., according to a message received here today. 8/9/1917 Harris, Charles, Conway, April 12 - Nearing the end of a long trip on a cot in baggage cars, Charles Harris, 35 died in a wagon at Pickles Gap, five miles north of Conway, yesterday afternoon. Accompanied by his wife and their two year old child, Harris arrived in Conway Saturday afternoon. He apparently was in a dying condition when he arrived. The family Friday morning left Galveston, Tex., where they had gone for Harris' health, and were en route to their home in Van Buren county. They spent Saturday night at a local hotel, leaving for their home yesterday morning. After traveling about five miles in the wagon, Harris said he was unable to go farther and died a few minutes later at the home of a farmer. 4/13/1915 Harrod, W.J., Funeral services for W.J. A Hartsell died at his home at Rison Saturday night after undergoing an operation for appendicitis. Mrs. Hartwick was matron at the Confederate Home at Sweet Home during 1906-7-8. She was the widow of the late Sam Hartwick, who was superintendent of the Confederate Home at the same time his wife served as matron. She is survived by two sons, W. D., who is a traveling salesman for the Thompson Brothers cigar store, and John J., a daughter, Mrs. Walter Wilson of the M. E. church. The body will be sent to Atkins Thursday morning at 8:45 o'clock. Funeral services will be held from the home of her son, John J. A Coroner's inquest resulted in a verdict her death was by natural causes. She is survived by her husband and several other relatives. 1/1/1930 Hawn, James, Springdale, June 11 - James Hawn Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hawn, died Saturday at the family home.
