Edith Yeakley, 73, of Rogers died Friday, February 2, 2018 at a local skilled care center. She was born February 12, 1944 in Arkansas.

She leaves behind her loving friends.

Kenneth “Ken” Vance Hulse

Kenneth “Ken” Vance Hulse, 67, of Bella Vista passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 31, 2018.||

He loved fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

He is preceded in death by parents Vance and Eva Hulse of Pratt, KS.

He is survived by wife Shelia Hulse, son Shawn (Jennifer), daughter Kristy (Clint Colberg), grandchildren Kylie, Claire, Christian, Carter, Cade, Ellie, and Kaden, step daughter Marisa (Bill Remow) and sister Rita (Marvin Saloga).

Graveside service will be at 11am Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Tucks Chapel Cemetery located near Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bella Vista Animal Shelter P.O. Box 5248, Bella Vista, Arkansas 72714.

Ross Dee Tadlock

Ross Dee Tadlock, 69, of Fayetteville died January 30th at Arkansas State Veterans Home at Fayetteville.

He served in the US Army and is survived by many loving friends and family.

Visitation: Monday, February 5th from 9 to 11 at Epting Funeral Home Bentonville.

Burial : Fayetteville National Cemetery at noon.

Scott Foster Kenworthy

Scott Foster Kenworthy, 57, of Bella Vista died Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 26, 1961 in Denver, Colorado the son of Doris and Frank Kenworthy.

He served in the US Navy and attended Ole Miss. He played golf on the “Nike Tour.” He was the golf pro at Brownsville Country Club located in Brownsville, Texas.

He had lived in Northwest Arkansas for over three years. He was preceded in death by his father; Frank Kenworthy and his aunt Lois Woodworth.

Scott is survived by: his mother; Doris Kenworthy, of Bella Vista, one brother; Jim and his wife Alane, of Pensacola, Florida, one sister; Bonnie Miltimore and her husband James, of Covington, Louisiana, and two nieces; Kaitie Nolan, of Fort Davis, Texas, Sarah Tigert, of New Orleans, Louisiana.

No services are planned at this time.

Jo Claire Adamson

Jo Claire Adamson, 91, of Little Rock, died January 25, 2018. She was preceded by parents Sterling Adamson and Lanette Bradsher-Adamson; son Mark Bonner; daughter Anne Claire Mosley; husbands Thomas Bonner, Jimmy Dunaway, Jack Trotter and J.A. Pulliam.

Jo Claire was a third generation Little Rock person. Her grandparents, the A. E. Adamsons, had a dairy and a general store on the old Hot Springs Highway. Her father was the owner of Sterling Paint Manufacturing Company, a Little Rock company established in 1919.

She graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1943, from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, in 1945; and from the University of Arkansas in 1947 where was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

She proudly led Girl Scout troop #76 for seven years and had the distinction of being the first troop from Arkansas that studied at the International Girl Guide Center (“Our Cabana”) in Cuernavaca, Mexico. She was an award winning artist, an excellent tennis player, enjoyed boating and camping, up for any adventure and a lifelong learner. She loved to host friends and family and bring people together.

Jo Claire was a founding member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a Stephens Minister at First United Methodist Church. She was a longtime member of the Country Club of Little Rock.

She is survived by granddaughter Julie Stagner and husband Rick; great-grandson Andrew, all of Fayetteville; grandson Zachary Mosley and partner James Doolittle of Boulder, Colorado; brother Dr. Jim Adamson and family; step-daughter Pam Dunaway and dear friends at Riverbend.

A memorial of her life will be placed at Roselawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Girl Scouts of America and the Arkansas Arts Center.

Ms. Joy “Peggy” Burdette Meyer

Ms. Joy “Peggy” Burdette Meyer, of Bentonville, Arkansas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, passed away at The Bradford House, Bentonville, AR January 25, 2018.

Joy was born to parents R. B. and Willie Alice Burdette on October 28, 1934, in Menard, Texas. She grew up in Dublin, where she graduated high school in 1952. In 1952, Joy attended Texas Wesleyan College, School of Nursing, Ft. Worth, Texas, City County Hospital. While in Ft. Worth, Joy met her husband, Leonard W. “Bill” Meyer and they married on July 2, 1954, moved to northwest Iowa and farmed for 11 years. Joy was a caring nurse while in Iowa, later in Texas and New Mexico. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as traveling.

Joy is survived by daughter, Cheryl Wright and husband, Jimmy Wright of Bentonville, AR; daughter, Deborah Baremore and husband, David Baremore of Snyder, TX; son, Michael Meyer and wife, Tere Meyer of Oviedo, FL; and son, Bruce Meyer, of Lubbock, TX; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her brother, Charles Burdette and wife, Vickie, of Emory, TX, and her sister, Oleta Allen, and her husband, Bob, of Nicholasville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 31 years.

The family wishes to express our gratitude to the staff and caregivers at the Bradford House as well as those involved in our mother’s care from Circle of Life Hospice.

No service is planned; Interment will be held at Dublin Memorial Park, Dublin, Texas, at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712.

Donald Wayne Roberts

Donald Wayne Roberts, of Bentonville died January 23, 2018.

He was a pharmacist for 33 years in Joplin, and 13 years with the VA Hospital in Fayetteville.

Survivors: his wife of 50 years; Dea Ann Roberts.

No services are planned at this time.

Memorial donations can be made to Bella Vista Animals Shelter.

Bokeui Hwang

Bokeui Hwang, of Bentonville, passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2018. She was 87 years old.

She was born in Japan in October of 1930 and moved to her native country of South Korea in 1945 after end of WW II. She later married and had three children. In 2008 she moved to U.S to be with her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter Miyoung Kong of Pusan, South Korea; daughter and son-in-law Sunny and Stephen McClain of Bentonville; and son Junghee Kong of Pusan, South Korea; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five younger siblings.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10am to 1pm at Epting Funeral Home located at 709 North Walton Blvd. in Bentonville. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Benton County Senior Activity Center, 3501 Southeast “L” Street in Bentonville Arkansas 72712.
