Donald Primm

LAKE CITY -- Donald Primm, 58, of Lake City died at his residence on Sunday, April 2, 2006, of natural causes.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Langford-Bookout Funeral Chapel with Nathan Primm and Bruce Primm officiating. Burial will be in Nettleton Cemetery with Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in charge.

Active pallbearers will be Allen Biggers, Jeremy Walker, Tommy Davis, Eugene Cambron, Greg Simpson and Chad Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be all employees of the Craighead County Highway Department.

Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 1407 Providence St., Kennett, Mo. 63857.

Jack Lee Smith

NELSONVILLE -- Jack Lee Smith, age 57, of Nelsonville died Sunday, April 2, 2006, in the White River Medical Center at Batesville.

He was born Aug. 8, 1948, at Miami, Okla., to Donald LeRoy and Priscilla Ellen Garrett Smith. He was employed by the Bank of Cave City, served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was of the Church of Christ faith.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

No visitation is planned.

Violet Williams

PARAGOULD -- Violet Williams, 82, of Paragould, a member of Bethel Station Baptist Church, died Sunday.

Survivors include one son, Thomas E. Williams Jr. of Casa Grande, Ariz.; one daughter, Loretta Jane Cornell of Greentown, Ind.; one brother; three sisters; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday in Mitchell Funeral Home at Paragould.

Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, with Doyne Robertson and Dennis Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.

Floyd Bonham

JONESBORO -- Mr. Floyd Bonham, 78, of Jonesboro died Thursday.

Arrangements are incomplete and have been entrusted to Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Keith M. Brown

HARRISBURG -- Mr. Keith M. Brown, of Harrisburg departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 40.

He was born March 26, 1966, in Trumann, the son of Archie Brown and Zorola Watson Brown. Keith had worked many years as a store manager in retail sales and was a member of the Assembly of God. He enjoyed crafts, traveling and photography.

He is survived by his parents, Archie and Zorola Brown of Harrisburg; one brother, Dwayne Brown of Harrisburg; a very dear friend, Forrest Shaw of Harrisburg; two nieces, Jill Brown and Rosa Brown; and two nephews, Morgan Brown and Jagger Studdie.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5-8 this evening.

Mary Nell Fry Calderon

KIRKWOOD, Mo. -- Mary Nell Fry Calderon, 75, of Kirkwood, Mo., formerly of Lake City, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 5, 2006.

She was born in Bay. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, J. Lynn and Essie Fry, and her daughter, Donna Lee Calderon.

She was the cherished mother to Colleen and Mike Murphy, Bill and Becky Calderon, Patti Carol Fires and Diana Calderon; devoted sister to Laura Fry Busby and Patti Fry and Ron Soong; adoring grandmother to Daniel, Billy, Mallory, Ryan, Brooke, Justin, Cody, Loren, Jeremy and Kendall; caring great-grandmother to Austin, Jake, Dakota, Reanna and Destiny; and loving aunt to Michael, Scott, Todd, Chris, Jeff, Craig, Calvin, Jon and Merri.

A dedicated nurse, teacher and friend, Mary was a registered nurse who served patients for 40 years. Throughout her career she was proud to instruct nursing students and in 1969 was one of the first nurses to be inducted into the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AACOG). Mary assisted former President Bill Clinton -- then governor of the state of Arkansas -- in piloting the nation's first Home Health Aides program designed to assist women in state assistance programs to achieve training and employment in home healthcare. She specialized in many areas of nursing including surgery, emergency services, and labor and delivery before retiring as an oncology nurse in 1992 from St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood, Mo.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood, Mo. Local services will be held at a later date at McIlroy Cemetery in McIlroy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Mary Calderon Continuing Education Scholarship Fund, co St. Joseph's Hospital in Kirkwood.

Jacob Paul Clark-Oxborrow

JONESBORO -- Jacob Paul Clark-Oxborrow, 19, of Jonesboro died Friday, March 31, 2006.

He was born in Tonopah, Nev., and had lived in Jonesboro for 312 years, moving here from Las Vegas.

Survivors include parents Randy and Tealie Oxborrow of Las Vegas and Jeanie Clark and Serge Lefebvre of Jonesboro; brothers, Joe Oxborrow of Summersville, S.C., Joshua Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ross Lefebvre of Seattle; and Stephen Shipton of Las Vegas; and sister, Tea Marie Oxborrow of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro.

Honorary pallbearers are Nick Webb, Chris Knight, Jeff Broadaway, Joshua Clark, Ross Lefebvre, Stephen Shipton, Nathan Wilbanks, Josh Engle, Monte Johnson, Brian Mask and Joseph Oxborrow. Burial will be private.

For those wishing to leave a lasting memorial, the family requests donors give to a charity of their choice.

Harry P. Dunavant Jr.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Harry P. Dunavant Jr., 84, of Hot Springs Village went to be with his Lord on April 6, 2006.

He was born in Keiser on June 4, 1921, to the late Harry P. Dunavant Sr. and Minnie Dotter Dunavant. He was a retired farmer and businessman from Northeast Arkansas and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing as well as hunting. His love for the outdoors carried over into his activities with the Boy Scouts. He truly loved scouting and was instrumental in all levels of scouting from local troops to helping build scout camps.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Allie Vee.

He is survived by children, Kathy Jane Clark and her husband Gary, Jo Lynn Dunavant, Harry P. Dunavant III and his wife Rhonda and Hank Dunavant; grandchildren, Kelly Jo Lane, Jania Beth Smith and her husband Travis Smith Jr., Brian Daniel Brickell and Lynsey Ann Smith; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Smith and Kayden Stane.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Mountainside Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola with burial to follow in Potter Cemetery at Lepanto.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountainside Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village or Caraway Methodist Church in Caraway.

Alma Laverne Elkins

PIGGOTT -- Alma Laverne Elkins, 73, of Piggott died April 5, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; father and mother, Oscar Holman and Violet Berry; and two sisters, Clara Reeves and Charlene Weaver.

She is survived by her children, Glenda Duncan, Marilyn Short, James Elkins and Mike Elkins; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hoggard & Sons Chapel.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will begin at 11 today an continue until funeral time.

Danny Leon Gambill

BONO -- Danny Leon Gambill, 54, of Bono died Tuesday at his residence.

Born in Jonesboro, he lived most of his life in Northeast Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Gambill of Berea, Ohio; his stepmother, Leona Gambill of Bono; five sons, Jeff Gambill of Magnolia, Texas, Jared Gambill and Justin Gambill, both of Lovelady, Texas, and Evan Gambill and Ryan Gambill, both of Berea, Ohio; a brother, Randy Gambill of Lake City; six grandchildren; and numerous friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Helen Leatherwood Gambill, and a daughter, Dana Gambill.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Shiloh Cemetery, with Don Belk officiating.

Pallbearers will include Randy Bailey, Allan Bailey, Terry Bailey, David Bailey, Kevin Bailey and Jimmy Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers will include Allen Lackey and James Mason.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
