Richard M. Brown 1927 - 2002

Richard M. Brown of Lakeview was born on July 1, 1927 in Chicago Il. to Alfred Charles and Helen Mary Brown. He was a tile and carpet worker. He was a US Army Veteran. He moved to Lakeview on October 20, 1993 from Freemont Wisc. He passed away on July 4, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 75 years and 3 days.

Survivors: 2 sons - Joseph A. Brown of Lakeview, Ar., Michael R. Brown of Phoenix, AZ., 2 Daughters: Christy Stow (Craig) of Spokane, WA., 1 Step - Daughter - Cathy Eberhart (Marty) of Thousand Oaks, CA., 11 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 sisters - Madelyn Nelson of Moline, Ill and Doris Pinczer of Davenport, Ia.

Preceded in Death by: Parents, 1 Brother and 1 sister.

Funeral: Funeral Services were held on July 8, 2002 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with American Legion Chaplin officiating. military honors were provided by the North Central Arkansas Veteran's Council (Alley - White American Legion Honor Guard).

Additional Notes: He was a Life Member of the Colin Kelly Memorial Am Vets Post 17, Chicago.

Vera May Schoenly Buchele April 26, 1926 - December 22, 2002

Vera May Schoenly Buchele was born April 26, 1926 at Dayton, New Jersey. She was a bookkeeper for the Princeton University Press for 40 years. She moved to Bull Shoals Arkansas in 1997 from North Brunswick New Jersey where she passed away December 22, 2002 at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 26 days.

Survivors: 1 Son: Jeffrey Buchele of Bull Shoals, Her dog: "Killer", 2 Brothers: Alfred Schoenly of Tavares, Fl. and Grant Schoenly of Monroe Township, New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in Death by: parents

Funeral: Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals with Dr. Fred Taylor officiating.

Burial: Burial will be in the Dayton Cemetery in Dayton, New Jersey

Memorials: American Cancer Society, Carti, or the Peitz Cancer House.

Elmer L. Buenger February 12, 1912 - July 12, 2003

Elmer L. Buenger was born February 12, 1912, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Herman and Bertha Madtke Buenger. He was a manager who worked at Navistar Corporation for 40 years. Elmer was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force in World War II. Elmer lived in Mountain Home for five years, moving from Moline, Illinois. He entered into eternal on July 12, 2003 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 0 days.

Survivors: He is survived by one nephew, Gordon (Lori) Buenger of Mountain Home, one sister, Meta Straub of Newport Ritchie, Florida, and friends.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Martha Lucille Burnett March 3, 1905 - March 13, 2002

Martha Lucille Burnett 97, of Mountain Home died March 13,2002 in Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She was born March 3, 2002 at Havensville, Kansas to Marion L. and Adabelle McKee Parsons. She married Dick Emmet Burnett April 7, 1923 at Holton, Kansas. She enjoyed sewing, Fishing, and gardening. She was baptist.

Survivors: She was survived by 1 son: Walter Dean and Betty Burnett of Flippin. 1 daughter Martha Marabelle Pittman of Gassville. 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, and 1 brother.

Funeral: Funeral services will be 2:00P.M. Saturday March 16, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Chapel.

Burial: Burial will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens.

Ronald Burquin February 25, 1943 - December 24, 2002

Ronald "Ron" Burquin, 59, 0f Flippin died Tuesday December 24, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Ron was born February 25, 1943 in Urbana, IL. He was married to Joyce M. Chada, and was a retired Enterprise Software Management Consultant for J.D. Edwards. He was a resident of Flippin, AR since moving from Oak Park, IL in 1999. He loved to fish and scuba dive, and enjoyed woodworking, and he was Methodist.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Joyce; stepson - Michael Chada of Bolingbrook, IL; sister - Janice Hanger of Cheyenne, WY; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: Visitation will be From 6:00 P.M. to 8 :00P.M.Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday December 27, 2002 at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Thomas Burt 1947 - 2002

Thomas Newell Burt was born january 22, 1947 at Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Newell Douglas Burt and Evelyn Lapham Burt. He had been a resident of this area since moving from Pawpaw, Michigan in 1987. He was a cook at Auburn Hills Nursing Home. He died on May 28, 2002 at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 55 years.

Survivors: 1 Son: William Burt of Mountain Home, AR; 1 daughter Deanna Burt of Lawrence, Michigan; mother Evelyn Burt of Pawpaw, Michigan; 1 sister, Sandy Neumann; 2 grandsons; 2 nices and 1 nephew

Larry Butler 1941 - 2002

Larry Maxwell Butler was born December 5, 1941 at Fulton, Mississippi the son of Sanders Grady Butler and Helen G. Rowin Butler. He married Nancy Pruitt at Starkville, Mississippi on June 6, 1964 and had resided in the Cotter area since moving from Tunica, Mississippi in 2000. He was an engineer for the county of Tunica.

Survivors: Wife, Nancy; 1 son, Craig Sanders Butler of Murfeesboro, TN; 1 daughter, Ashley Butler Boyd of Dundee, MS; 2 grandsons Reed Sanders Butler of Murfeesboro and Tanner Wesson Boyd of Dundee; 2 granddaughters Mary Huntley Butler of Murfeesboro and Allie Tatum Boyd of Dundee; parents Sanders and Helen Butler of Fulton, MS; 1 sister, Cathy Peden of REd Bay, AL.

Funeral: First Baptist Church in Tunica on February 5, 2002.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery in Tunica, Mississippi.

Jim B. Carder March 23, 1928 - June 9, 2003

Jim B. Carder, 75 of Mountain Home, Arkansas died at Baxter Regional Medical Center on June 9, 2003. He was born on March 23, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to Evearad F. Carder and Rose Hyacinth Jones. He married Joan Haley September 15, 1962 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a draftsman for Graver & Graver, Inc. for 19 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain Home. He was a resident of Mountain Home since 1954 after moving from Dallas, Texas.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Joan Carder of the home; two step - sons, Robbie Carder of North Little Rock and Steve Carder of Hot Springs; one brother - in - law, Warren Haley of Mountain Home; five grandchildren; two sisters, Rose McClanahan and Lea Leonard both of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Kirby - Boaz Funeral Home.

Funeral: Graveside Service will be 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Mountain Home Cemetery.

Burial: Interment will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery.

Lucille Carlson 1909 - 2002

Lucille Carlson was born April 10, 1909 at Chicago, Illinois the daughter of David A. Johnson and Hilda M. Nelson Johnson. She married Elmer V. Carlson on February 14, 1953 and resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Chicago, Illinois in 1966. She was a former secretary at Standard Brands and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She died on July 22, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 93 years.

Tommy Ray Carpenter 1957 - 2003

Tommy Ray Carpenter was born April 21, 1957 at Truman, Arkansas the son of J. B. and Idena Moore Carpenter. He married Deborah Brandon at Gassville, Arkansas on January 20, 1978 and had been a resident of the Flippin area since moving from Kansas City, Missouri in 1971. He was a mechanic at RLH, Inc. and was a volunteer fireman with Fairview Fire Department, where he was Assistant Chief. He loved to hunt and was a member of Light House Assembly of God Church.
