Gladys Davis Ashcraft, 83, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, October 10, 2011.
She was born July 10, 1928 in Sidney, Arkansas, daughter of Carl and Annie Marie Hollingsworth Davis.
Mrs. Ashcraft was reared and received her early education in Sidney. She attended Arkansas (now Lyon) College.
She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer for many years. Mrs. Ashcraft was an active member of the Women's Missionary Auxiliary. She also loved sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ashcraft was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ashcraft; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Buford of White Hall; two sons, Randy Ashcraft of Russellville and Wayne Ashcraft of Camden; brother, Ewell Davis of Newport; four sisters, Abbie Malott of Batesville, Hazel Cross of Louisiana, Carla Logan of Dayton, Wyoming and Reba Ussery of Truman; 8 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at Meadowview Baptist Church with Brother Jim Sweeney and Brother Mike Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery
by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Robinson's.

William Coys Hankins
March 15, 1921 - October 11, 2011
William Coys Hankins, 90, of New Home, Arkansas, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1921, in Cleveland County to Dankie Harrison and Eva Mae Reed Hankins.
Mr. Hankins was reared and educated in Cleveland County.
He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
He later went to Engineering School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mr. Hankins owned and operated Hankins Service Company but later went to work at the Pine Bluff Arsenal where he retired as an engineer.
He was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher, the Glendale Hunting Club and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leonard, D. H., Billy, Earnest and Carroll Hankins and a sister, Ellen Ramsey.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita Jean Moss Hankins whom he married on July 3, 1964, in Pine Bluff; stepsons, George Powell, Jr. (Joni) of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Larry Powell of Fayetteville; stepdaughter, Dianna Coats (Dennis) of Pine Bluff; brother, Bobby Joe Hankins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Catherine Studdard of Pine Bluff, Dorathy Dorris of White Hall, Martha Puckett of Sheridan, Nell Roberts of Pine Bluff; grandson and caregiver, Donny Miller; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 PM to 2 PM Thursday at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral service by Ralph Robinson & Son will be 2 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2011, New Home Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Johnie Brewster and Reverend J. W. Dobbins officiating.
Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery.
Doris Jean Eberhart
December 3, 1926 - October 15, 2011
Doris Jean Burkle Eberhart, 84, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Davis Life Care Center.
Born December 3, 1926, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Esther Frances Elser Burkle. She was reared and received her early education in Lafayette, graduating from St. Francis High School. She attended St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, where she became a Registered Nurse. In December of 1947, she married James N. Eberhart, in Lafayette.
Mrs. Eberhart was an RN at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana and also at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1970, she and her family moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she worked as an RN for Jefferson Regional Medical Center until her retirement.
Mrs. Eberhart was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Altar Society, and was also a member of RSVP. She was an active volunteer for the Red Cross, having received the fifty year pin for her years of service. She had a dedicated passion for life, in which her family and faith were always kept first. She lived life to the fullest and loved to travel, which included journeys to all fifty US States as well as dozens of trips abroad. Her other hobbies included cooking, reading and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Georgie and Bobby.
She is survived by her husband of nearly sixty-four years, James Eberhart, of Pine Bluff; her sons, Alan David Eberhart, of Lafayette, Indiana, and Douglas Lee Eberhart, of Cabot, Arkansas; her daughter Lynne Ann McAllester, of Alexander, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother, William Anthony Burkle, of Ohio and her sister Jacqueline Mary Gushwa, of Lafayette, Indiana.
A Funeral Mass will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father L. Warren Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery

Jimmie Carolyn Malone (Roberts)
September 1, 1947 - October 16, 2011
Jimmie Carolyn Roberts Malone, age 64, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Davis Life Care in Pine Bluff. Mrs Malone was born September 1, 1947, in McGehee, Arkansas, the daughter of the late J. B. Roberts and Mable Roberts.
Mrs. Malone was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, where she attended the Watson Chapel schools.
She was a Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a self-employed breeder house owner for Tyson Foods.
She had previously worked at Dillard's Department Store and had owned a beauty salon.
Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Crain.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Malone, Sr., whom she married in 1971; son, Raymond Taylor of Bryant, step-son, Thomas E. Malone, Jr. of Pine Bluff; two brothers, Lynn Roberts of Pine Bluff, Bruce Roberts of White Hall; one sister, Barbara Dean of Carmichael, California; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
A Vigil service will be Wednesday evening at Robinson's at 6:00 PM with visitation following.

Lyn Jones Albright
June 5, 1940 - October 18, 2011
Lyn Jones Albright, 71, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Lyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She will be remembered for her quick wit and as a loyal friend.
Born June 5, 1940, Lyn spent her childhood and received an early education in her home town, Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She attended Henderson State University, Arkadelphia and the University of Mississippi, Oxford. Lyn married her husband, Bill, in 1960. She worked for 26 years as a work program advisor for the Department of Community Correction. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pine Bluff, the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and a UMW Circle Leader. A member of the Junior League of Pine Bluff, Lyn was involved in other organizations, Lyn served on the board of directors of the Pine Bluff Festival Association, and was a Neighbor to Neighbor volunteer. Lyn was very well known for her cooking and she loved to entertain. She loved all of the fun activities that went with Razorback football, the beach and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Cochran and Ida Jones, and father-in-law, William "Chick" Albright. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Albright; son, Barrett Albright and wife DeAnna of Little Rock; daughter, Melissa Albright of Plano, Texas; granddaughter, Jennifer Albright Gooch and husband Jeff, great-grandson, Mason Gooch, all of Little Rock; mother-in-law, Ada Barrett Albright of Sherrill; sister-in-law, Martha "Kitten" Coop of Little Rock; nephew, Griffin Coop and wife Elizabeth of Little Rock. Other dear ones to Lyn were Patrick Colclasure, his wife Laura, and their children Will and Mary Claire of White Hall.
Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday October 21, 2011, at First United Methodist Church with Reverends David Fleming and Edna Morgan officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son (online register: www.ralphrobinsonandson.com).

Hughey Harper
October 1, 1917 - October 26, 2011
Hughey "Red" Harper, 94, of White Hall, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Harper was born October 1, 1917, to Hill and Ada Hobson Harper. He was reared and received his early education in Rison, graduating from Rison High School.
He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII.
Mr. Harper owned and operated his service station in Pine Bluff, from 1948 to 1972.
He was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, the Adult Bible Sunday School class, and United Commercial Travelers.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Elkins Harper, two sisters, Juanita and Joe Calhoun, Imogene Courtney, and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Harper, allof White Hall. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Havis Harper, Harland Harper and Herbert Harper.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, October 28, 2011, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son, with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson’s, Thursday evening, 5-7.

Thomas "Tommy" Outlaw

Thomas “Tommy” Outlaw, 66, of Pine Bluff, passed away, Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born October 8, 1945, in Dermott, Arkansas, he was a son of the late William Edgar, Sr. and Bonnie Lee Gibson Outlaw. He was reared and received his education in Watson, Arkansas, graduating from Watson High School.
Mr. Outlaw worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad, now Union Pacific Railroad, for over fifteen years as a Car Knocker and Brakeman before his retirement. He was a member of the Church of the Firstborn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kenneth James Outlaw and three grandchildren, Charity, Rice and Brianna Outlaw.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Edgar Outlaw, of Lexington, Oklahoma and Kyle Ray Outlaw, of Magnolia, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Jacob, Elijah, Cristian, Andrew, Matthew and Aubrielle Ray Outlaw; his former spouse and mother of his children, Rena Outlaw, of Pine Bluff; his brothers, Ben Outlaw, and wife, Pat, of St. Peters, Missouri, Ed Outlaw, and wife, Kathy, of Olathe, Kansas, Milton Outlaw, and wife, Rhonda, of Lexington, Oklahoma, and Charlie Outlaw, and wife, Julie, of Colon, Michigan; and his sister, Betty Gatlin, and husband, Bob, of Benton, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Church of the Firstborn with Brother David Sloate and Brother Gary Watkins officiating, Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery

Michael Patrick Crowley
September 5, 1947 - January 16, 2012
Michael Patrick Crowley, 64, of White Hall, Arkansas, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born September 5, 1947, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Vernon Michael and Bernice Marie Durish Crowley.
He served in the United Sates Army as an infantry soldier in the Vietnam War.
Mr. Crowley was reared and educated in Ft. Scott, Kansas, graduating from Ft. Scott High School.
He continued his education by receiving his Bachelors of Science in Education, Masters of Arts and a Specialist in Education degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Mr. Crowley also received his PHD in Education from Oklahoma State University.
In 1987, he was recognized by Governor Bill Clinton for Academic leadership while serving as Superintendent for the White Hall School District and received several awards and acknowledgements for educational service and dedication throughout his career.
He enjoyed antique cars, working in the yard, caring for plants and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
Mr. Crowley was of the Catholic faith.
He was currently working as the Special Services Supervisor of the Sheridan School District. He had also worked for the Department of Education for fifteen years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Irene Pyle Crowley, whom he married in 1968, in Ft. Scott, Kansas; a son, Patrick Crowley of Little Rock; a daughter, Michelle Bond and husband Bobby Bond, Jr.; two grandchildren, Hayden and Addisson Stanfield; two sisters, Pam Nelson and Ginger Prentice both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; along with several nieces.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Ralph Robinson & Son.
Burial will be private at a later date.
