Ann Dickens

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Ann M. Lovelady Dickens, 83, of Mountain View, formerly of Piggott, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in Batesville.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Lovelady and Raymond Dickens; daughter, Gloria Beaver; and sister, Magie Burks.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Boyer of St. Francis; son, Weldon Lovelady of Corning; and six grandchildren.

Services will be today at 2 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the funeral.

Hazel Erpenbach

NEWPORT — Hazel Erpenbach, 89, of Newport died Friday, Sept. 14.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Roger Kurtenbach; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Callison and Mary Erpenbach; brother-in-law, Art Stune; special friends, Mitchell and Willard McGee, and Cleo Studer; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and constant companion, Mike, her lap dog.

Honoring her request, there will be no church service. Graveside memorial services are planned during the 2008 Memorial Day holiday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care Foundation, c/o Pat Kurtenbach, 2813 Kimberly St., Newport 72112.

Arrangements are by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.

Floyd Flynn

JONESBORO — Floyd Eugene Flynn, 73, of Jonesboro died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie Flynn of the home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Emerson Funeral Home.

Christie LeAnne Gambill

JONESBORO — Christie LeAnne Gambill, 36, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born in Jonesboro and had lived there most of her life. She was a homemaker and also attended Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Audrey Lammers.

She is survived by her loving son, Silas Pizzutiello of the home; parents, Rex and Phyllis Gambill of Jonesboro; mother, Cynda Harmer of Jonesboro; brother, Ryan Gambill of Jonesboro; two sisters, Audra Gambill of Jonesboro and Olivia Harmer of Wisconsin; paternal grandparents, Frank and Virginia Gambill of Jonesboro; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty French of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Travis officiating. Burial will be in Lorado Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Gambill, David Gambill, Paul Gambill, Kevin McDole, Dale Lammers and Brad Hanson.

William John Hall

MOUNTAIN HOME — William John Hall, 61, of Hardy died Saturday, Sept. 15, in Mountain Home. William was a carpenter and served in the Army.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. in Heath Funeral Chapel with Floyd Rikard officiating and burial in Baker Cemetery.

William is survived by son William John II of Cartersville, Ga.; three daughters, Brenda Seagesser and Susan Holloway of West Plains, Mo.; Tammy Hall of Willow Springs, Mo.; two brothers, Wilson Bruce Hall of Hardy; Floyd Green of Mountain View, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements are by Heath Funeral Home of Highland.

Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Loeffler

June 28, 1915 - Sept. 16, 2007

CHEROKEE VILLAGE — Rudolph “Rudy” Loeffler, 92, of Cherokee Village, died Sunday.

Survivors include three children, Barbara (James) Buyer, Rudolph Jon (Gladys) Loeffler and Alice (Paul) Georgian; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and his sister-in-law, Ella Loeffler.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Hubert Otto Markum

CAMPBELL, Mo. — Hubert Markum passed away at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 2 days.

He was born April 11, 1916, in Brookland to the late Odes and Evie Speakes Markum.

On June 28, 1934, in Lake City, he married Bonnie Merryman. She preceded him in death May 14, 1997.

Survivors include his daughter, Doris Jean Warren and husband John of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter-in-law, Mary Markum of Piggott; grandchildren, John Markum Warren and wife Sarah of New York, Holly Searight and husband Dickie of Collierville, Tenn., Mary Dawn Tichenor of Potts Camp, Miss., Martye Nelson and husband Todd of Jonesboro and Monty Markum of Piggott; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Matthew Searight of Collierville, Zachary Tichenor of Potts Camp, Amanda Tichenor of San Antonio, and Jordan and Katie Nelson of Jonesboro; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Eugene Markum; grandchildren, Curtis Markum and Sarah Warren; and brothers, Gilbert, Herbert, Troy and Cletus Markum.

Services were held Sunday in Kennett, Mo., under the direction of Bradshaw Funeral Home.

Earl Russel Morgan

NEWPORT — Earl Russel Morgan, 83, of Newport died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Jonesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Woodruff Morgan; son, Dale Morgan; daughter, Doris Mason and husband Jacky; sister, Ima Johns; grandchildren, Becky Palmer and Justin Mason; and grandchildren, Madison Faith Mason, Chloe Grace Mason, Jonah Carter Mason and Mason Conner Palmer.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Ballews Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Hoover Lewis and David Winfrey officiating. Interment will follow in Ballews Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 in Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.

Donald Dean Routon

Paragould — Donald Dean Routon, 67, of Paragould died Sunday, Sept. 16, at Paragould.

He was born Feb. 7, 1940, the son of the late Pat and Pearl Johnson Routon. He was a retired equipment mechanic from Kirk Equipment Co.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ethel Mallett, Beatrice Gibson, Wilmer G. Routon, Thelma Snider, Prather Routon, Paul Routon and Jerry Routon.

He was survived by his wife, Linda Routon of the home; stepson, Shannon Stage of Paragould; daughters, Cameo Meadows of Denton, N.C., and Sunny Chaddean Roberts of Chicago; brothers, Bob Routon of Leachville, Donnie Hall of Lepanto and Eugene Routon of Denver; and five grandchildren.

His life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Heath Colonial Chapel with Lowell Ussery.

Nathan Neil Stallings

JONESBORO — Nathan Neil Stallings, 27, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, from injuries in an airplane accident near York, Ala.

Nate was born June 15, 1980, in Olathe, Kan., and moved to Jonesboro in 1987. Nathan was employed by Neil Stallings Properties as a professional property manager and was also a commercial pilot.

Nathan was a member of Forest Home Church of the Nazarene where he was very active in youth ministries, men’s ministry and ministry to foster children. He was a member of Serving Our Savior Sunday school class along with softball and basketball programs.

Nathan was a very active young man and enjoyed many things in life. He enjoyed flying and was a charter pilot. He hoped to pursue Charter Angel flights for families in catastrophic needs. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends. He was an outstanding husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Neil Stallings; his uncle, Steven Moore; and a dear friend, Daniel Ryan.

Survivors include his wife, April Tate Stallings of the home; one son, Owen Neil Stallings of the home; his parents, Ken and Linda Stallings of Jonesboro; his sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Brad Wilson of Tulsa, Okla.; grandparents, Mary Stallings of Jonesboro and Elmer and June Hanneman of Denver City, Texas; a special aunt, Kathy Moore of Jonesboro; one niece, Abby Davis of Jonesboro; his father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Tate of Forrest City; his mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grimm of Jonesboro; and his sister-in-law and her husband, Crystal and Aaron Davis of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ken Stallings and the Rev. Peter Kline officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Lance Shepard, Brad Wilson, Eric Timmons, Paul David Stallings, Aaron Davis and Robert Hanneman Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will include all cousins and members of the Serving Our Savior Sunday school class.

Visitation will be held tonight from 5-8 in Emerson Funeral Home at Jonesboro.
