Baldridge
Dennis Baldridge, 76, of Monette, died Monday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired farmer and of the Assembly of God belief. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and had lived in the Monette area most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Baldridge of the home; two daughters, Becky Hawkins of Leachville and Denise Coggin of Lake City; two sisters, Lucille Coble of Jonesboro and Veda Grooms of Leachville; two brothers, John L. Baldridge and Lin Baldridge, both of Leachville; and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 10 Wednesday morning at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette, with the Rev. Carl Blankenship officiating.
Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery. Pallbearers include Todd Shepard, Keith Mullen, Justin Blankenship, Michael McFarlin, Garrett Taylor, Jeff Austin.
Honorary pallbearers include Paul "Doodle" Taylor, Maxie Jones, Doyle Yates, Thomas McFarlin, Van VanDerGriff, Jerry Reed, Jerald "Boots" Pitts, David Fletcher and the senior citizens of Monette.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hancock
Mrs. Mary Marie Hancock, 82, of Wynne died Saturday at Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs. She was a charter member of Fairoaks Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Edwin Hancock of Conway; four daughters, Margetta Stokes of Vicksburg, Mich., Pat Mitchell of Hickory, Jean Mitchell of Wynne and Janie Every of Sayre, Penn.; a brother, Benjamin Doty of Fort Smith; a sister, Beatrice DeFoore of Newport; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 Wednesday morning at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne, with Rev. B.F. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery
in Wynne.
Active pallbearers will include Michael Booth, Earl DeFoore Jr., Johnny DeFoore, Mack DeFoore, Matt Hancock, Phillip Mitchell, Allen Stokes and Dwayne Stokes.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Rooks
Miles T. Rooks Sr., 94, of Vanndale died Sunday at his home.
Born in Vanndale, he was a retired farmer and a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Velma Logan Rooks, and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Miles Turner Rooks Jr. of Cherry Valley and Billy George Rooks of Wynne; three brothers, T.D. Rooks of Cherry Valley, Edward Rooks of Wynne and Emmett Rooks of Keiser; a sister, Rosalie Crawford of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 Thursday morning at Kernodle Funeral Home chapel in Wynne. Rev. Robert Tucker will officiate, and burial will follow at Vanndale Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. DePriest
Mrs. Rebecca Davidson DePriest, 92, of Wynne died Saturday at her residence. A retired school teacher, she taught in all grade levels.
Survivors include a son, Nick DePriest of Wynne; and a grandson.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 this morning at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne, with Rev. T.G. Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery
in Russell.
Mrs. Roach
Mrs. Janice Marie Winford Roach, 31, of Lake City, died Monday morning at her residence. Born in Los Angeles, she had lived in Lake City most of her life and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City. She had worked for Fruit of the Loom Corp. in Osceola.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky Roach of Lepanto; a son, Brian Howard Peyton of the home; a daughter, Andrea Marie Peyton of the home; a sister, Michelle Kay Winford of Lake City, and three brothers, Jackie Allen Winford, Kenneth Doyle Winford and Jeffrey Brian Winford, all of Lake City.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 Wednesday morning at First Baptist Church in Lake City, with Scott Miller and Jim Kincade officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Island Cemetery
near Lake City under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilson, Leon Johnson, Brandon Peaster, Steve Davis, Mike Ervin and Ronnie Joe Wooten.
Honorary pallbearers will include Billy Mann, Chip Mann, Curt Timms, Rickie Timms and Dupree Davis.
Visitation will be held from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
Byrd
C.L. Byrd, 82, of Jonesboro, died Monday at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Thompson
Donald G. Thompson, 53, of Sorrento, Fla., formerly of Jonesboro, died Feb. 27 at his home. Born in Marshall, he was a 1966 graduate of Valley View High School. He was a corrections officer for Lake County and a member of the Sorrento Christian Center. He also was active in the Truckers Love Children of Leesburg and had served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Charlette Thompson of the home; two sons, Adam Thompson and Eric Thompson, both of Florida; one brother, Billy Thompson of Cardwell, Mo.; five sisters, Glenda Melton of Yellville, Barbara Barker and Peggy Hanks, both of Jonesboro, Debby Raney of Hot Springs and Stella Waldron of Howey, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Allen J. Harden Chapel in Mt. Dora, Fla.
Pendergraff
Edward Pendergraff, 71, of Bay, died Sunday at the Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the carpenter's union.
Survivors include one son, Charles Pendergraff of Bay; two daughters, Susan Vestal of Bay and Sandra Landis of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Henry Pendergraff of Bay; three sisters, Naomi Pagan of Smithville, and Ruth Hester and Viola Loven, both of Bay, and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 Wednesday morning at the Holly Springs Cemetery, with Jimmy Pagan officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Langford's Funeral Service of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be held from 5 this afternoon to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
Bunch
Samuel Edward Bunch, 81, of Pocahontas died Friday at the Randolph Home in Pocahontas. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Sutton Free Will Baptist Church of Pocahontas.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Bunch of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Linda Wulff of Cherokee Village; six brothers, Gerald Bunch and Byron Bunch of Pocahontas, R.L. Bunch of Benton Harbor, Mich., Vernie Bunch of Las Crusis, N.M., Charles Bunch of Ash Flat and Billy Bunch of Yoakum, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Hibbard of Houston, Texas, and June Hobbs of Ash Flat; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Guntharp Bunch and one sister.
A graveside service will be held Monday morning at 11 at Sutton Cemetery
in Pocahontas. Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge has charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 5 until 9 that evening at the funeral home.
Nance
Richard Jackson "Jack" Nance, 64, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Newport, died Friday at Nashville. Born at Newport he was a graduate of Newport High School and attended Arkansas Technical College in Russellville and Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway.
He was a songwriter, musician and entertainment manager. His most famous song was "It's Only Make Believe," which he co-wrote with Conway Twitty, which earned gold record sales in the United States four different times. Recordings of his songs hit the charts in Britain, Canada, Africa and Australia.
As a musician, he performed with Conway Twitty, played behind Elvis Presley and recorded at Sun Records in Memphis. He had worked with The Jackson Five, Dionne Warwick, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Monkeys, The Moody Blues, The Rolling Stones and Three Dog Night. His television and movie credits include Swinging Country on NBC, Platinum High School with Conway Twitty and contributions to the soundtracks of Blue Sky and last year's animated feature, The Iron Giant.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Lowery Nance of Nashville; one son, Richard Nance of Park City, Utah; one daughter, Melanie Anderson of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York; one stepdaughter Melissa Holden; one stepson, Brouce "Pete" Holden III; his mother Mary Bigham Nance-Stites of Newport; one sister, Franchelle Harrell of Newport and four granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe A. Nance and by one brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 at the Holden Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Jackson's Newport Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 until 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brewer
Mrs. Verble H. Brewer, 96, of Paragould, died Friday at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. She was a homemaker.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.
