Edward Leroy Cox
Edward Leroy Cox, age 80, of Searcy, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003.
He was a retired truck driver, antique dealer and a Baptist.
He is survived by one son, Larry Cox of Wichita Falls, Texas; his daughters, Carolyn Adams, Lonoke, Annette Nabors of Fayetteville, and Beth Ann Miller of Searcy; one brother, Earl Cox of Fort Wayne, Ind., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service was Thursday at West Race Baptist Church, Searcy, with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Elizabeth R. McGuire
Elizabeth Ruth McGuire, 67, of Carlisle, died Feb. 25, 2003.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas McGuire of Carlisle; six children, 17 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, and one sister.
Services were Tuesday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke, with interment at Walters Chapel Cemetery
in Carlisle.
Evelyn Hooper
Evelyn Elizabeth Sullivan Hooper, 82, of Conway, died Feb. 27, 2003.
She is survived by three daughters, Elzora Gilliam of Cabot, Nora Pierce of Greers Ferry, and Lillian Bass of Clinton; two sisters, Dovie Bridges of Mortion and Minnie Sullivan of Cabot; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were March 3, at Cabot Funeral Chapel.
Othalee Jackson
Othalee Jackson of Little Rock died Feb. 24, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jackson, daughter, Vickie Jackson; son, Ivory Johnson; five sisters, Dorothy Gray, Carrie Burnett, Reela Jones of Carlisle, Emma Bell of Chicago, Ill., Retha McGee of Des Arc; two brothers, Hermon and Nathaniel Jackson of Carlisle; six grandchildren.
Family hour 7:15-8:15 p.m. Friday at Hubble Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m. at Revelation COGIC in Carlisle.
Thurzie R. Moody
Thurzie Rollins Moody of Delight, born Feb. 14, 1910, died March 6, 2003, at Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro.
She was a member of Delight First Missionary Baptist Church.
Her husband, Roy Moody, and a son, Earl Moody, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Heuitte and Linda Moody of Lonoke, Thomas and Marilyn Moody of Lonoke, and Walter and Joan Moody of Eagle River, Alaska; one daughter and her husband, Donnis and Luther Lott of Delight; two brothers, H.D. Rollins of Lonoke and Bryon and Audrey Rollins of Overland Park, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m., Monday, March 10, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke, with interment in Arkansas Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville.
Virginia A. Stapleton
Virginia Ann Percefull Stapleton, 71, died March 3, 2003, at Eugene, Ore.
She was the daughter of the late George and Virginia Percefull.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy McCarley Peeples of Belton, Texas; sons, Fred S. McCarley, Hawaii, and James Patton McCarley of Eugene, Ore.; a granddaughter; sisters, Carol Morris of Bartlett, Tenn., and Jane Stecks of Little Rock; and a brother, George Percefull of Fairfield Bay.
Private cremation will be held in Oregon.
Floyd Beedle
Floyd William Beedle, age 93, of Gillett died Sunday, March 9, 2003.
He was a farmer and Baptist.
Survivors include his children, Laverne and Robert Sterling of Little Rock, Louise and Billy Paul Bullock of DeWitt, Roger and Diane Beedle of Carlisle, Nancy and Eddie Hollingsworth of Gillett, Floyd Jr. and Donna Beedle of Stuttgart; brothers, Claude Beedle of Ashdown, Alfred Jensen and Raymond Jensen both of Bloomfield, Neb.; sister, Alberta Barnes; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Essex Funeral Home Chapel in DeWitt with burial at Bayou Meto Cemetery.
Leolie Stephenson
Leolie Stephenson of Little Rock died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003.
He was born in Lonoke County.
Survivors are his wife, Sallie Stephenson; one daughter, Venita McClendon of Little Rock; two sisters, Kizzie Jenkins of North Little Rock and Mary Johnson of Chicago.
Funeral services were March 8, at Mattie Hicks Memorial Chapel, 1518 S. Battery Street. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home.
Annie Marie Boyd
Annie Marie Boyd, 58, of Jacksonville died Saturday, March 8, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Dickie M. Boyd; daughters, Terri S. Pearl of Arlington, Texas, and Susan A. Steenbergen of Ward; brother, Luther Doyle Hawks Jr. of Jacksonville; sister, Oza C. Stewart of Morristown, Tenn.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service was held Monday, March 10, at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel.

Dorothy Lee Reed, 65, of England, died Friday, March 7, 2003.
She is survived by six sons, Doyle Reed of Scott, Lloyd Reed of England, Orville Reed of Star City, Carl Reed of Pettus, Johnny Reed of England, and Robby Reed of Lonoke; three daughters, Ferrendia “Kay” Keeth Sample of Sheridan, Teresa Orrell of Jacksonville, Martha Weeks of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Junior Strickland of Lake Village; two sisters, Jeanette Sipes of Pine Bluff, Bula Mae Swilling of Pine Bluff; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 10, at the Roller-England Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Union Valley Cemetery.
Albert Nathan Coker
Albert Nathan Coker, 75, of North Little Rock died March 6, 2003.
He worked at Windsor Door for 33 years and retired as plant supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Iona Coker; son, Steve Coker; one granddaughter; one sister, Faye Hively of North Little Rock; one brother, Thomas Ivo Coker of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Services were March 8, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel with interment at 16th Section Cemetery, Cabot.
