Alice Rawe
Alice Rawe, 93, of El Paso, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2003 at her home.
She was born May 3, 1909, the daughter of Charlie and Ethel Dennis Evans. She is preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Joe Rawe.
She is survived by three sons, John Rawe of El Paso, AR, Charles A. Rawe of El Paso, AR and Same Rawe of Cabot, AR; four daughters, Ethel Loyer of Virginia Beach, VA, Nellie Cleveland of Sherwood, AR, Alice McKenzie of Arizona City, AZ and Mable Alexander of BelAir Beach, FL; two sisters, Katherine Dixon of Greenwood, AR and Myrtle Harris of Michigan; one brother, Arthur Evans of Jacksonville, AR.
She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great, grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Wednesday, February 19 at the Cabot Funeral Chapel.
Friends visited on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice, Searcy, AR. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
Maudie Lois Allen
Maudie Lois Allen, age 92, died February 17, 2003.
She was the oldest living charter member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.
She is survived by 2 sons, Tommy Allen and Dennis Allen both of Cabot, 5 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
Services were 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery
by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Leonard David Moore
Leonard David (L.D.) Moore was born on August 16, 1953 to Mahalia Williams and the late Willie Moore. He departed this life on February 16, 2003.
He was a faithful member and Deacon of Springfield Baptist Church at England.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Mahalia Williams of England, one brother, George Moore of England, four sisters: Theresa Cole and Ida (David) Holloway of Lonoke, Rita Kimble and Joyce Williams of England and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, 1 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church with interment in Springfield Cemetery
by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Forrest D. Oliver
Forrest D. “Doug” Oliver, age 67, of Cabot, died February 24 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock. He retired as Retail Advertising Manager after 32 years with the Arkansas Gazette. He later spent 12 years with J. B. Hunt Transports.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jo Robinson Oliver of Cabot; son Mark Douglas Oliver and his wife, Rachel of Conway; grandson and granddaughter; sisters, Nora Harris of Ward and Ruth Ramirez of North Little Rock.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery
Friday at 2 p.m. Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
Pauline Grigsby
Pauline Grigsby, 96, of Bradford, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003.
She was a 60-year member of the First United Methodist Church at Bradford and recently became a member of St. James First United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
She taught school for 33 years. At retirement, she was a high school librarian and English teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 52 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Fletcher of Little Rock; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Bradford, with interment in Calvin Cemetery
in Alicia.

James T. Probus
James Thomas “Tommy” Probus, 65, of Cabot, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Probus; one daughter, Anna Maria Jones; two sons, James T. “Tommy” Probus Jr., and Michael Todd Probus; four grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Probus of Cloverport, Ky., Walter Probus of Hardinsburg, Ky., Charles Probus of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Barbara Rearden of Cloverport, Ky.
Funeral services were Feb. 10 at Cabot Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in 16th Section Cemetery
in Austin.
Memorials may be made to the Baugh Chapel Family Life Center.
Lucien H. McConnell
Lucien H. McConnell of Lonoke died Feb. 6, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann McConnell; six children, Nancy Ostrander of West Commack, N.Y., Kathryn Luttrell, Marc McConnell, Ellen McConnell, all of Lonoke; Nannette Winebrenner of Vilonia, and Lucien McConnell Jr. of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services were Saturday, Feb. 8, at Sunset Memorial Gardens by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke.
Harold A. Wright
Harold A. Wright, 69, died Jan. 20, 2003.
He is survived by daughter, Carol Stivers of Lonoke; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements for cremation made by Boyd Funeral Home of Lonoke. The family has planned no memorial service.
Ada Lucille Blauser
Ada Lucille Blauser, age 65, of Ward, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
One son, Brian Blauser of Ward; one daughter, Angela Manasco of Beebe; two brothers, Earl Dixon of Ward and James Dixon of Cabot; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive her.
Funeral was Feb. 8, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Beebe with burial in Apple Hill Cemetery, Ward.
Herschel Walker
Herschel Walker, 72, of Marked Tree died Feb. 5, 2003.
Survivors are his wife, Davie Walker; daughter, Terry Donham of Cabot; sons, Johnny and Michael Walker.
Funeral was Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree.
Carolyn Gilbert
Carolyn Gilbert, 68, of North Little Rock, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.
She was a member of Crystal Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles H. Gilbert; one son, Chuck Gilbert of Conway; two grandchildren; one sister Val Shaw of Cabot.
Funeral services were Feb. 4, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Michael A. Chundak
Michael A. Chundak, age 60, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.
He was retired from the Air Force and GSA in Little Rock. He was a member of St. Albert’s Catholic Church.
Survivors are his wife, Eileen of Heber Springs; two daughters, Kathleen Smith of Cabot and Maureen Frazier of Heber Springs; one brother, Joseph of Heber Springs and a sister, Maryanne Murphy of Hurricane, Utah, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was held Wednesday at St. Albert’s Catholic Church. Interment Cleburne County Memorial Gardens by Olmstead Funeral Home.
