Rebecca Hastings
Rebecca Hastings, 77, of Gurdon died March 19, 2005.
She was a member of Blanchard Springs Baptist Church in Junction City.

Her survivors include husband of 58 years, Billy Hastings of Gurdon; son, Don Hastings of Little Rock; daughters, Glenda Yancey of Cabot, and Diane Parten of Cuba, AL; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Services were held March 22 at First Baptist Church.
Interment was in the Bluff City Cemetery.

Bervie Mae Vint
Bervie Mae Ward Vint, 83, of Morrilton died March 17, 2005.
She was a member of the Caney Valley Baptist church.

She is survived by sons, William Bill Vint of Morrilton, and Mike Vint of Greers Ferry; daughters, Mary Lucy Tipton of Morrilton, Cindy Thomas of Palmer, and Martha Guinn of Cabot; brothers, Stanley and Alvey Ward of Morrilton; sister, Flo Hesselbein of Morrilton; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held March 21, at the chapel.
Interment followed at Wolf Cemetery.

Mabel Burgin Rea
Mabel Burgin Rea, 93, of Carlisle, died March 18, 2005.
She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church between Cabot and Lonoke. She was an artist and retired from Timex in Little Rock.

She is survived by sisters, Maxine Watson and Emmalean Still, both of North Little Rock; and brother, S.H. Bill Burgin of Little Rock.

Funeral services were held March 21 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home chapel. Interment was in the Rea family plot in Glover Cemetery on Sandhill Road, Lonoke County.

Memorials may be made to the Resident’s Activities Fund at Chambers Nursing Home Center in Carlisle.

Wanda Lillian Bland
Wanda Lillian Bland, 83, of North Little Rock died March 17, 2005.
She was a retired cosmetologist, a member of 47th Street Baptist Church and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her son, Perry Bland, of North Little Rock; daughter, Lisa Butler of Lonoke; and two granddaughters.

Memorials may be made to 47th Street Baptist Church, North Little Rock.
Funeral services were held March 19 at 47th Street Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Butlerville Cemetery.

Robert Pennington

Robert A. Pennington, Jr., 78, of Sherwood died on March 17, 2005.

He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church for over 45 years, Masonic Lodge #754 in Sylvan Hills, and retired from Union Pacific railroad.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Malone Pennington of the home; five children, Carol Sue Thompson of Cabot, Robert A. Pennington III of Sherwood, Vickie Clayton of Cabot, Annette Gatez of Houston, TX, and Heather Pennington of Conway; and two grandchildren.

Services were held March 21, 2005 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.

Grace Howton Miles

Grace Howton Monroe Lewis Miles, 90, of Jacksonville, died on March 17, 2005.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville and retired from Timex.

She is survived by sons, Buford Monroe of Conway, Hoyt Monroe of Lonoke, DuCarrol Monroe of Sherwood, and Raymond Monroe of Sherwood; daughters, Juanita Carver of Alamogordo, N.M., Betty Sue McPherson and LaVada Folsom both of Jacksonville; brother, Leo Howton of New Albany, OR; and sisters, Lola Jean Massey and Connie Lee Howton of Palestine; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were held March 21, 2005, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, North Little Rock.

Interment followed at Salem Methodist Cemetery in Goodwin.

Memorials may be made to the Salem Methodist Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 81, Goodwin, Ark. 72340.

Lloyd Camm Toll

Lloyd Camm Toll, 94, died March 18, 2005.

Survivors include his children, Thomas Lloyd Toll of Cabot, and Judith Toll Meinholz Davis of Tollville; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

He was cremated with no viewing or service at his request.

Memorials may be sent to Arkansas Hospice, Inc.

Alin Marion Waddill

Alin Marion Waddill, 81, Austin, died March 19, 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjory “Molly” Bisel Waddill; son, Dale Waddill, FL; daughter, Paula Waddill, Tennessee; one brother; one sister; three grandchildren.

Teddy Standridge

Teddy William “Ted” Standridge, 43, of Hazen, died March 6, 2005.

Survivors include his mother; brother, Chris Standridge of Hazen; sister, Terry Lynn Standridge of Carlisle; and children, Megan, Trinton and Justin.

Graveside services will be held Thurs., March 24, 2005, at the family cemetery on Fawn Acres Road north of Hazen.

Eddie Jackson

Eddie Jackson, age 70, of Carlisle, died March 18, 2005.

Survived by two sons, Murphy Jackson and Harry Jackson; one grandson; two brothers, C.J. Jackson and H.B. Jackson; one sister, Lucille Grayson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Carlisle. Family hour 7:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hubble Funeral Home.

Eva Inez Presley

Eva Inez Presley, age 86, died March 19, 2005.

Services were Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Haynes Baptist Church. Burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.

Survivors five daughters, Louise Cashion, Betty French, Barbara Bittle, Donna Held and Gail Oxner; three brothers, Joe Parrish, Billy Parrish and Hebert Parrish; two sisters, Janice Bryant and Shirley Conner; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.

Clara I. Howard

Clara I. Howard, age 87, died March 21, 2005. She was born in Cleburne County and formerly lived in Hidgen and Searcy. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Eugene “Gene” Howard; one daughter, Voncille Houser of England; one brother, Chester Ingram of Sherwood; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; five great-great -grandchildren and a step-daughter, Jeanie Stane of North Little Rock.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke, with interment in Union Valley Cemetery, Coy. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Nancy Sunderman

Nancy Mildred Sunderman, age 67, passed away March 22, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Red” Sunderman; four children, Christopher Chappue of Austin, Marty Chappue of Missouri, Diane Chappue of Oklahoma and Robert W. Sunderman of Florida; one brother, William Wilson of Virginia and one grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Chappue. A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel, Lonoke.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Heart Association.
