Mrs. Nellie Evalyne Cornelius, age 81, of Cove, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her home.
She was born November 07, 1928 in Hatfield, Arkansas to the late William Marion Hicks and Minnie Molly Colley Hicks. She was united in marriage to the late Norman Cornelius. She was a homemaker and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by:
Sons: Norman Wayne Cornelius and wife Mary of Mena, Arkansas Billy Gene Cornelius of Anchorage, Alaska Roy Lee Cornelius of Cove, Arkansas
Daughters: Shirleta Overton and husband Dan of Weatherford, Texas Jeannie Jordan and husband Jim of Cove, Arkansas Samantha Chastain and husband Bruce of Euless, Texas Rosette Sutton and husband James
Mother: Minnie Molly Colley Hicks of Mena, Arkansas
16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her father, William Hicks, her husband Norman Cornelius, and a daughter, Dixie Loretta Cornelius.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. at The Revival Center of Cove with Brother Donnie Jewell and Brother Reggie Fryar officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery
at Cove under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening, July 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made towards expenses at the funeral home.
Harold N. Davidson

Harold N. Davidson, age 84, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, July 04, 2010 in Mena He was born December 20, 1925 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Oscar Harry Davidson and the late Nettie Creach Davidson. . Mr. Davidson worked as a lumber carrier driver and also a Core Maker at Brodix. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War ll. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witness. He was a loving husband, father, brother and a friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Nettie Davidson, two brothers, Bobby Joe Davidson and Oscar Harry Davidson, Jr. Harold N. Davidson, age 84, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, July 04, 2010 in Mena.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.

Bertella A. Lefevre, age 81, of Mena, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at her home.
She was born January 13, 1929 in Douglas, Arizona to the late Walter Morgan and Elthelreda Tucker. She was united in marriage to Andre G. Lefevre “Frenchy”. Mrs. Lefevre was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andre G. Lefevre “Frenchy”, and a sister, Francis Eining of Elk Grove Village, Illnois
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. in the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lamar Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, July 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kleeman and Glenn Pierce.
Dorothy May Hughes

Dorothy May Hughes, age 95, of Norman, Arkansas passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 2, 1915 in Richwood Community, Arkansas to the late George Reynolds and the late Viola New Reynolds. She was united in marriage to Charley Hughes. Mrs. Hughes was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Viola Reynolds, her husband Charley Hughes, her son, Hillard Leo Hughes, her grandsons, Dewayne Mosbeck and Bobby Dean Karr and her brother, Richard Reynolds.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. at the Hillside Cemetery
in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Interment will follow under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ladell Risenhoover, Billy D. Lewis, Randy Romero, Earl Dean Hughes, Joe Manning, and Gerald Brewer.
Visitation will be general.
Dalton Riley Donica
(April 9, 1933 - July 16, 2010)
Dalton Riley Donica died Friday, July 16th, 2010, on his property near his home in Zafra, OK. Mr. Donica is survived by his wife Jane, and their four children, Dr. Cynthia Perkins, of Nashoba, OK; Sherry McKim, of Atlanta, GA; Robin Wolaver of Nashville, TN; and David Donica, of Hatfield, AR, 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Born to William Valentine Donica and LeDema (Dema) Isom on April 19th, 1933, in the community of Fewell, Oklahoma, (now part of Nashoba, OK), Riley was the eldest of four children. His siblings are Katie Donica, of Honobia, OK, Rodman Donica of Sherman, TX and the late Serena Fredrick, of Honobia, OK.
Riley Donica left his native Kiamichi Mountains in the fall of 1950 to attend Dallas Christian College. Upon obtaining his degree in Pastoral Ministry, he returned, with his wife and two daughters, in December 1957 to serve, under the auspices of the Kiamichi Mountain Christian Mission, the Zafra Church of Christ, Zafra, OK, where he ministered for over 52 years. He also established and led the Panther Creek Church of Christ in Brushy Ridge, OK. Due to the violent murder of his father, Bill Donica, and later, his step-father, Tex Prior, Riley’s efforts throughout the 1960s were focused on the abolition of violent crime in the Mountain communities. In 1982, Mr. Donica founded The Nations’ Ministries, an organization devoted to caring for those in need throughout the territory.
Influenced by his mother, a mountain school teacher, Riley grew up with a thirst for knowledge and was widely read in the fields of history, geography, literature, politics and religion. His cowboy father instilled in him a love of the land, horses, cattle, guns and freedom. The combination of these two individuals created a unique man who became internationally known for his colorful story-telling and speaking abilities. His fearless, ebullient spirit engaged political leaders with the issues of his day. He received audiences with heads of state and officials from the U. S. State Department. In 1978, Riley ran for United States Senate as an Independent candidate, desiring to shape the debate and influence the policies of his opponents through his efforts in the arena of ideas.
Riley Donica was a singular individual, who loved his mountain homeland and its people. From the stage of a small rock church-house in an oft-forgotten village, he helped raise up generations of leaders whose influences spreads throughout the world. He guided the growth of educators, musicians, writers, counselors, and missionaries. Their work and achievements flow directly from the well-spring of Riley Donica’s life. For the thousands of people whose lives he touched, there will never be another who so boldly showed the power of one man to make a difference. He was a friend to all, and his heart was that of a servant — one whose efforts were the outflow of a soul devoted to God and committed to be a student, and thus a healer, of the human spirit. “I am poured out as a final drink offering and the time of my departure is at hand. ”
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010, 2:00 p. m., at the First Baptist Church, Mena, AR. Interment follows in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Floyd, Cullis Lee, Clifford Johnston, Garland Owens, Jerry Self, and Stanley Stinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Hugh Edwards, Coy Fairless, Monty Gray, Charles Mowdy, Marvin Skipper, and James Parker. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening, July 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
Funeral will be officiated by Ben Merold, Minister at Harvester Christian Church, St. Charles, MO, in conjunction with Joe Wilson of Church Growth Ministries, Enid Oklahoma.
Charley Joseph Nichols
(December 4, 1918 - July 18, 2010)
Mr. Charley Joseph Nichols, age 91, of Hatfield, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 in Cove. He was born December 4, 1918 in Hatfield, Arkansas to the late Charley Isom Nichols and the late Minnie E. Strawn Nichols. He was united in marriage to the late Opal Redding. During World War 2, Joe worked for the Department of Defense, and also worked on the KCS Railroad, was a mechanic for Emerson Ford Company and U. S. Motors, and owned Nichols Radio and T. V. Shop. He was a member of the Hatfield Freewill Baptist Church and was a loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Minnie Nichols, his wife Opal Nichols and brothers, Charlie and Robert Nichols.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. at the Hatfield Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Donnie Jewell officiating. Interment follows in Mountain Fork Cemetery
under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening, July 20th from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.

Grace Gray Paquette
(November 17, 1919 - July 7, 2010)
Grace Gray Paquette, born November 17th 1919, died peacefully at 90 years of age on July 7th 2010 in Ojai California. Grace spent the last 2 years of her life in California to be close to her son Joe and his family. She spent most of her busy life before coming to California splitting time between her home in Dallas and the farm in Watson, Oklahoma. She loved the farm where she grew up and will be laid to rest there. Grace was born in Baker Springs Arkansas to Joe and Luna Gray and moved to Watson in 1932 growing up with her sisters Verda, Murble, Norma, and her brother Bill. She married Raymond F. Paquette in 1947 and they had 3 sons, Jerry, Roger and Joe. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Durant Oklahoma and spent her professional life teaching school in Dallas, Atlanta, Watson, and Smithville. Grace was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. Grace loved life most raising animals on the farm where people would come from miles around to see the menagerie.
Grace is survived by her sons Roger in Lucas Texas and Joe with his wife Carol in California. Her grandchildren include Lauren, Richard, Jessica, Austen, and Leah, and her great-grandchild Dallas. Grace is also survived by her sister Murble Pickens of Watson and Norma Taylor of Bokchito Oklahoma, along with her numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Grace was preceded in death by her mom and dad, her sister Verda and brother Bill, her husband Raymond, and her oldest son Jerry.
Services to celebrate Grace’s life will consist of visitation on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Beasley Wood Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas, followed by Services in Watson at the Baptist Church at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday July 17th with a graveside service at the Watson Cemetery.
James Richard Lee
(October 28, 1967 - July 13, 2010)
Mr. James Richard Lee, age 42, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Benton. He was born October 28, 1967 in Redlands, California to George Leroy Lee and Arlene Baxter Lee. He was a truck driver by profession in the construction industry and was of the protestant faith. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
