Marjorie M. Goddard, 83, passed away December 9, 2003 in Kingman, AZ. She was born to Robert & Sheila (Bowden) Morison on December 26, 1919 in Los Angeles, CA.

Marjorie was a resident of Carpinteria, CA where she was a secretary for the Carpinteria School District. Most recently, her and her husband had made plans to make Kingman their home.

Marjorie will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Harold and all of her family and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

William F. Cramer, 71, passed away December 9, 2003 in Kingman, AZ. He was born to Fredrick & Hazel (Hammond) Cramer on June 21, 1932 in Martinsville, IN.

William has been a resident of Arizona for 27 years, moving here from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a civil engineer for Army Corps of Engineers in Florida for 7 years. He was also a proud veteran in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

He will be dearly missed by beloved wife, Joyce and all of his family and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Irene Liebgold, 89, passed away December 11, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Patrick & Catherine (Byrne) Culbert on September 15, 1914 in New York City, NY.

Irene made Lake Havasu her home 23 years ago, moving here from Newburgh, NY where she was a retail buyer for Travers (clothing store).

Irene is survived by her loving family, son, Peter Liebgold of Cave Creek, AZ; daughter, Carole Nelson of Lake Havasu; sisters, Marie Vielee of Marion, IN and Rebecca Hecker of Hamden, CT; grandchildren, Michael Liebgold, Daniel Liebgold, Michael Skrosky, Andrew Nelson, Nicole Liebgold and Cathy Liebgold and four great granddaughters.

She was preceded in by two brothers, Steve Culbert and Victor Culbert and two sisters, Lenore Bock and Rose Nazarkewich.

The family respectfully request donations to be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.

Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Lela P. Murphy, 88, passed away on November 28th, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born Lela Pearl Goff on September 7th, 1915 in Easton, PA; to James and Pearl Goff.

Lela lived most of her life in Delaware County, PA. She married Harry Murphy in 1937 and taught elementary school in Chichester Township.

Lela and her family moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in 1974, where she was active in church work, teaching Sunday School and serving as church pianist.

Lela will be deeply, lovingly missed by her daughter Loreen Morris of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandson Robert Morris of Sunnyvale, CA; granddaughter Jennifer Hall, husband Darin and family of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Arkansas. and nephew Paul Melton Jr; wife Pat and family of Linwood, PA. She was preceded in by her parents, uncle I. I. Barto, sister Jaima Melton and husband Paul, and her loving husband of 62 years, Harry.

She has requested there be no public funeral arrangements or flowers. Donations can be made in her name to the charity of your choice.

James Eugene Hogan, 69, passed away December 3, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Walter & Delia (Knight) Hogan on July 1, 1934 in Bakersfield, CA.

James and his wife owned Wonella’s restaurant in Lake Havasu for 12 years. He loved wood carving, especially bears. His other favorite hobbies included painting and gardening. But mostly he loved and cherished his family.

Wonella was a long time friend of James’ sister. One day she saw a picture of him in his Navy uniform, even before she met him and knew that she would be his wife someday.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years and best friend, Wonella; sons, Kenneth Hogan of Fresno, CA, Donald Hogan of Monroe, WA and Rodney Hogan of Fresno, CA; brother, Ernie Hogan of North Fork, CA; sister, Vie Simone of Fresno, CA; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He is preceded in by his son, James Hogan Jr. who passed November 7, 1993.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.

James will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Janice Morgan Robb, 79, passed away December 2, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Howard & Mildred (Matterson) Morgan on April 12, 1924 in Norwich, NY.

Janice is a resident of Colorado Springs, making Lake Havasu their winter home for the past 7 years. She is a member of the St. Francis Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs, CO, the Grace Episcopal Church in Lake Havasu and the ROWC (Retired Officers Wives Club).

Janice was known for her green thumb especially for African Violets and Roses. She also enjoyed shopping, bowling, golf and was an avid reader. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with a special passion.

Janice is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years and best friend, Lyle D. Robb; daughters, Linda M. Robb of Long Beach, CA, Elizabeth “Betty” A. Horn and her husband Bob of Lake Havasu and Carol J. Applebaum and her husband Ellis of Kaneohe, HI; four grandchildren, Stephanie Gandy, Jennifer Collins, Justin Applebaum and Trevor Applebaum; three great grandchildren, Jarron Gandy, Shayne Gandy and Kylee Collins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Chapel in Colorado Springs with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Father Martin Piersall of St. Francis Episcopal Church will officiate.

Donations may be made to charity of choice.

Jessie LaVera Lane was born December 16, 1914 in Ford Dodge Iowa. She passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Sunday morning November 30, 2003, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lawrence Lane, her son Larry Lane, her granddaughter Dawn Harper and great grandson Robert Lane, all of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She is also survived by her nephew (and #2 son) Gary Lane, sister-in-law Alma Lane, nephews Don Lane, Kenny Lane, Richard Lane, and nieces Sharon Volk, Linda Seeger, Pat Ferrell, Carol Crase, Velma Lane and Mary Schnitker. She also leaves behind numerous good friends in Hemet and San Pedro, California.

Jessie loved fishing at Lake Hemet and Lake Cachuma in California. She loved to hostess large parties at her home in San Pedro. She loved nickel machines. She loved her family and friends, who will all miss her very much. She loved her life-long friend and husband, who moved her from Wichita, Kansas to Santa Monica, California in the 1930’s to begin a great adventure together. She loved to tell the story of the long trip in a A Ford and stopping in Arizona, just before the California border so they could clean up because they had been told that California had a dress code and wouldn’t let them in if they didn’t pass it!

Jessie had overcome several serious health challenges during her elder years, but lost a short battle with cancer. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care provided by the very special staff at Jasmine House and Hospice of Havasu who ensured she never suffered during her final days. There will be a small memorial service at Jasmine House at 3:30 PM, Thursday December 4, 2003 for the residents and family, and a Remembrance Service at the Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene later in January. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Jessie Lane Memorial Missions fund at the Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene, 2700 N Rainbow Ave, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86403. The family also wants to thank Terry, Chris and Kristen of the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home for their compassionate assistance in arranging her final care.
