Thelma Leona Siron

Graveside services for Thelma Leona Siron, 82, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Aug. 1, 1915, in Leon, Iowa, Mrs. Siron died April 20, 1998, at her Fairfield home after a long illness. She lived in Fairfield the past 11 years.

Mrs. Siron retired in 1972 after working 21 years for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. She retired from Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash., and had also worked at George Air Force Base.

She graduated from Leon High School in Leon. She also belonged to the organization of former Army and Air Force Exchange employees. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church.

Mrs. Siron is survived by her daughter, Patricia D. McLeod of Fairfield; sister, Ruth Nester of Provo, Utah; granddaughter, Barbara K. Groves of Vacaville; great-grandchildren, Byron, Corey, Valerie and Wesley Groves, all of Vacaville; great-great-grandson, Alex Groves of Vacaville; a niece; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in August 1996.

Visitation is from Noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

James D. Mallock

Memorial services for James D. Mallock, 70, of Vacaville will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Vaca Hills Chapel.

A member of the Vacaville Lodge No. 134 F.& A.M. will preside. Burial will be at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.

Born June 1, 1927, in Minnesota, Mr. Mallock died April 22, 1998, at VacaValley Hospital after a long illness. He moved to the area in 1963.

Mr. Mallock retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korea and Vietnam wars. He also retired from the University of California, Davis.

Mr. Mallock was a member of the Square & Compass Masonic Lodge No. 3 in Tokyo and Cypress Lakes Golf Course.

Mr. Mallock is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter and son-in-law, Kim Mallock-Hutsell and Glenn Hutsell of Modesto; and grandson, Chance J. Hutsell of Modesto.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Benita C. Santos

Funeral services for Benita C. Santos, 69, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Rev. Joey Alcordo of Jesus Risen Lord Alliance Fellowship will preside. Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.

Born June 3, 1928, in the Philippine Islands, Mrs. Santos died April 23, 1998, at her Fairfield home after a short illness. She lived in Fairfield for seven years. She was a homemaker for the past 50 years.

Mrs. Santos is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lilia and Isagani Bonifacio of Fairfield, Marilou Chua of Fairfield, Leticia Dela Cruz of Vallejo, and Lucia Banares of the Philippine Islands; son, Rodelio of the Philippine Islands; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Stanley Kent Bramwell

Funeral services with full military honors for Stanley Kent Bramwell, 68, of Fairfield will be 2 p.m. Monday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2700 Camrose Avenue in Fairfield.

The Bishop Anthony Young will preside. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery in Suisun.

Born July 23, 1929, in Garland, Utah, Mr. Bramwell died April 24, 1998, at his Fairfield home. He lived in the city since 1970.

Mr. Bramwell grew up in Salt Lake City, where he graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. Prior to college graduation, he spent 2 1/2 years in Argentina as a missionary.

Upon college graduation, Mr. Bramwell received a commission as an Air Force second lieutenant. He served with the Air Training Command, Strategic Air Command, and Military Airlift Command.

He graduated from several military-oriented courses, including air war college and the defense language institute in Monterey.

During the Southeast Asian Conflict, he flew 130-gunships along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. He was a C-141 pilot when stationed at Travis Air Force Base.

Mr. Bramwell served as Theater Airlift Manager for Central and South America while stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. He was chief of the Air Force Section of the Military Advisory Assistance Group attached to the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal. He retired as a colonel in the Air Force in 1983.

For several years, he was employed with John Hancock Securities. From 1993 to 1997, he and his wife lived in Santiago, Dominican Republic, as missionaries. He was also president of the Santiago Mission for his church.

Mr. Bramwell is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Fairfield; daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen of Los Angeles, and Shauna and Doug Ogden of Roosevelt, Utah; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher of  Washington, D.C., Scott and Kym of Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and Mark and Malinda of Provo, Utah; sister, Jeane B. Farr of Salt Lake City; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Marcy of Bonita; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Contributions may be made to NorthBay Hospice Program, 1200 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Fairfield 94533, or to the American Cancer Society, 1312 Maryland St., Fairfield 94533.

Arrangements are by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Rose Marie Simon

A Memorial Mass for Rose Marie Simon, 82, of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. Michael Downey will preside. Burial will be private in Jamestown, N.Y.

Born July 21, 1915, in Falkner, N.Y., Mrs. Simon died April 24, 1998, in Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento after a short illness.

She had owned and operated the hair salon, Rose Marie's, in Jamestown, N.Y., for more than 40 years. She married her husband, Earl, on June 9, 1956, in St. Peter's Basilica, Rome, Italy.

She was a charter member of the Northern Solano Lodge No. 2534, Sons of Italy. She also had been the commander of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Chapter No. 81, Fairfield-Suisun for 12 years, and had been a U.S.O. volunteer at Travis Air Force Base for 12 years.

Mrs. Simon is survived by her husband of 42 years, Earl of Fairfield; brother, Joseph Ribaudo of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Carmella Pellegrino of Placentia and Agnes Scheria of Buffalo, N.Y.; and three nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, or to the Northern Solano Lodge, No. 2534, Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund.

Arrangements are by Nadeau Family Funeral Home.

Clora J. Kersey

Memorial services for Clora J. Kersey, 79, of Vacaville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Vaca Hills Chapel.

Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Ms. Kersey died of lung cancer April 23, 1998, in Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Oct. 5, 1918, in Newnata, Ark., Ms. Kersey moved to the area 1 1/2 years ago. She was a housekeeper at several hotels for 10 years and enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Marlene Baker of Vacaville; sisters, Ruth Martin, Flora Harrison and Mary Lou Perry, all of  Oklahoma; brothers, Hayden Gower of Kansas and Dwight Gower of  Oklahoma; granddaughter, Linda Baker of Sacramento; and grandson, Dean Baker of Oakley.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. R.P. Bradanini, 290 Fruitvale Road, Vacaville 95688.

Alice Louise Barnett

Funeral services for Alice Louise Barnett, 71, of Fairfield will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fairfield.

The Rev. Michael Downey will officiate.

Burial will be in San Joaquin National Cemetery, Santa Nella.

Born June 21, 1926, in Merced, she died in Fairfield April 23, 1998, after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

Mrs. Barnett is survived by sons, Steven of Susanville, Joe of Fairfield, David of Santa Barbara, James Jr. of Portland, Ore., and Don of Pittsburgh; daughters, Gloria Thorne of Virginia and Joann Maloney of Massachusetts; mother, Elosia Hernandez of Merced; brothers, Rosendo Hernandez of Merced and Tilo Hernandez of Hanford; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband James on April 3, 1998.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home chapel.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. today in the chapel.

Dorothy Ivaldi

Funeral services for Dorothy Ivaldi, 83, of Vacaville will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vacaville.

Burial will be in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Born Dec. 11, 1914, in Oakland, she died April 24, 1998, in Fairfield, after a long illness.

Mrs. Ivaldi lived in Vacaville for 22 years after living in Davis for 14 years.

She was a member of Past Timers, enjoyed square and round dancing with the Paws and Taws in Davis, was a member of Leisure Town and played bridge and golf.

Mrs. Ivaldi is survived by son, Jim of Vacaville; daughter, Joy Durrett of Medford, Ore.; brother, Mel Viskovich of Walnut Creek; sister, Priscilla Pusich of Woodland, and granddaughter, Crystal Durrett of Medford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry. They were married April 12, 1947.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in McCune Garden Chapel.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel.

Kristi Knutson

A memorial service for Kristi Knutson, 45, of Suisun City will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Fairfield.

Inurnment will be private.

Born May 31, 1952, in Vallejo, Mrs. Knutson died April 26, 1998, in Kaiser Permanent Hospital in Vallejo.

She was a homemaker for 25 years.

Mrs. Knutson is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Bena of San Jose; son, Aaron of Fairfield; parents, E. and Rena Anderson of Westminster,  Colo.; brothers, Skip of Aravada,  Colo., and Ross of Arroyo Grande; sisters, Randi Cooper of Irvine and Becky of Vacaville.

A memorial contribution may be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 817 Missouri St., No. 4, Fairfield.

Arrangements are by Neptune Society of Northern California, Fairfield.

James Joseph Reardon

A memorial service for James "Jimmy" Joseph Reardon, 42, of Vacaville will be held in the Country Club Mobile Home Park clubhouse in Fairfield at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Burial arrangements will be private.

Born June 22, 1955, in Warren, Ohio, he died April 22, 1998, in VacaValley Hospital after a long illness.

He lived in the Vacaville-Fairfield area since 1974.

He enjoyed fishing, softball, pool and being a San Francisco Giants fan.

Mr. Reardon is survived by his wife, Lesly of Vacaville, parents, Rita and Charles of Fairfield; son, Christopher of Benicia; brother, Charles of Arizona, brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick and Michelle of Davis and David and Jane of Suisun City; stepdaughters, Michelle Benitez, Dina and Janice Viera, all of Vacaville; several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren.

Louis Roy Holton Sr.

Funeral services with full military honors for Louis Roy Holton Sr., 63, of Fairfield will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church in Fairfield.

The Rev. John Duncan will officiate. Private burial will be at Rockville Cemetery.

Mr. Holton died April 21, 1998, at his Fairfield home after a long illness.

Born Dec. 21, 1934, in Chico, he moved to Fairfield 33 years ago. During his 21 years of service in the Air Force, he worked as an aircraft mechanic, crew chief and flight engineer, retiring from Travis Air Force Base as a master sergeant in 1975.

Mr. Holton's tour of duty included Sculthorpe, England - where he met his wife, Jean - Roswell, N.M., Vietnam and Travis.

After retiring, he worked for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District for eight years, retiring in 1996.

He loved to fly and had a single-engine pilot's license. He also loved to travel, camp and garden and was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors.

Mr. Holton grew up in Marin County and graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in Fairfax.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of Fairfield; daughter, Julie Anne of Fairfield; son, Louis Roy Jr. of San Diego; father, Judd De Woody of Chico; sisters, Betty Albertini of San Rafael and Barbara Thomas of Woodbridge, Va.; brothers, Donald of San Rafael, Glenn of Hawaii, Frank of Sonoma, and Roger of Petaluma; and one grandchild, Ashley of Fairfield.

Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. tonight at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 West  Texas St., Fairfield.
