Fred "Ted" Paul Wilbur
1946-2011
Fred" Ted" Wilbur, 65, of Little River, Albert Co., NB passed away unexpectedly on October 21st, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Midway, Albert Co., NB on May 29th, 1946 the son of the late Preston and Edna(Brewster) Wilbur. Fred worked driving truck and last worked for Nelsons. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. Fred cherished his family and treasured all the time they spent together. He may have been rough on the outside but once you got to know him he had a heart of gold. The little ones had him wrapped around their fingers. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors ; gardening, hunting and fishing. He also had a special place in his heart for his animals especially his dogs. He will live on in the hearts of his family forever. Remember all the fun times and good memories, this is what he would want us to do.
He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Violet (Jones) Wilbur of Little River; daughter, Cindy Jones of The Glades; son, Paul Wilbur (Cathy) of Memel; and his precious granddaughter, Tia; sisters, Judy Crandlemire (Gary), Carol Barton (Owen) of Harvey, Albert Co., Paula Bradley (Mervin)of Charlottetown, PEI, Wenda Cormier (Raymond)of Fenwick, NS and Phyllis Rushton of Moncton; brothers, Wayne Wilbur (Ginette) of Wabamun, AB and Gerry Wilbur of Spruce Grove, AB; sisters-in-law, Susan Wilbur of Alma, Candy Thompson (Mark) of Memramcook and brother-in-law, Tim Jones (Lari-Lynn) of Irishtown and his special niece, Emma and nephew, Scott who were like grandchildren to him. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Roger.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Monday, October 24th, 2011 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating.
Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2 734-2780

Floyd Edgbert Elliott
1918-2005
Floyd Edgbert Elliott, 87, of Alma passed away on October 24, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
Floyd was born in Alma West, NB on April 11, 1918 the son of the late Thomas Edgbert Elliott and Avis Leolia (Dixon) Elliott. He worked as a young man in the lumber business and also sold Christmas Trees. He later worked for the Province of NB as a tax assessor until his retirement. He was a member of the Howard Lodge # 15 F&AM. He was well known in his community and everyone knew he was always there when needed. He was a very special man and you could always expect a warm welcome from Floyd. He especially loved times spent with his family and took great pride in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will never be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Edna Elliott; two daughters Carol Steeves of Saint John and Ann Dyer of Lower Coverdale; by his seven cherished grandchildren Peter Rossiter, David Rossiter, Darren Rossiter, Patricia Rossiter, Michael Steeves, Andrew Steeves and James Steeves; and by his precious 11 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Viola Lewis (Ira) ; half brother Glendon Fillmore (Helen).
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27th, 2005 at 2pm. Internment will be held in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB.
Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home.
Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

Edna Laveria Elliott
1920-2012
Edna Laveria Elliott, 92, of Alma, who had been residing in Saint John with her daughter for the past few years, passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side.
Edna was born in Alma West (Fundy National Park) on January 4, 1920 the daughter of the late Roland "Doc" and Pearl (McKinley) Dixon. Her main goal in life was taking care of her family, she was proud of her daughters and loved helping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the outdoors and just being in nature, she loved fishing and going on hikes in the park especially to Dixon Falls, she was also an avid card player. Edna was a very special lady whose good character and the kindness of her heart won the affection of her loved ones, she was loved by all. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and for her kind and generous ways. She has left her family with a lot of good memories to cherish. "What we keep in memory is ours forever."
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Carol Steeves of Saint John and Ann Elliott of Lower Coverdale; her treasured grandchildren, Peter Rossiter, David Rossiter (Linda), Darren Rossiter (Melanie), Patricia Green (Larry), Michael Steeves (Susan), Andrew Steeves (Krista) and James Steeves (Pam); several cherished great grandchildren; sister, Winnifred Burns (Leo) of Alma and sister-in-law, Norma Dixon of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Floyd Elliott; infant daughter, Patricia; sister, Georgia Kane (Hamilton); brothers, Lawson Dixon (Lena) and Roy Dixon; sister-in-law, Georgia (McKinley) Dixon.
There will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB at a later date.
Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Darlene Elaine Danahy
1962-2012
Darlene Elaine Danahy, 49, of Riverside-Albert passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 4th, 2012 after a brief illness.
She was born in Albert on November 28, 1962 the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Newcomb) Danahy.
Darlene was a homemaker, she was a very proud mother and grandmother, her children and grandson were definitely her world. She loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed bingo and had a special place in her heart for animals. She lived life to the fullest, she loved a good party and getting together with all her family and friends. She would want us to remember all the fun times and many laughs we all had over the years...there were so many. Darlene will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever. "Mom you were the best."
She will be deeply missed by her treasured children, Evan Lyman (Jillian) of Hopewell Hill, Amanda Lyman (Daniel), Carly Lyman and Brandon Collier all of Riverside-Albert; step-son, Dana Lyman of Alberta, precious grandson, Joseph; sister, Beverly Steeves of Riverside-Albert; brother, James Danahy (Kelly) of Alma; nephew, Zak and niece, Mandi. She will also be missed by special friends, Lia DeWolfe and Gisele Gilbert; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her step-father, Bob Wilson and nephew, James Adam.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-9pm. The Funeral Service will be at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Rev. Carol Smith officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to Darlene's young family would be greatly appreciated and donations can be made at the funeral home.

Boyd Oxley Steeves
1937-2012
Boyd Oxley Steeves, 75, of Moncton passed away on April 18th, 2012 at the Dr. Georges L-Dumont Hospital.
Boyd was born in Moncton on February 23, 1937 the adopted son of Bruce H. Steeves and Nora F (Smith) Steeves. He worked for the CNR for 25 years before his retirement. Boyd grew up in Osborne Corner and loved spending the summers in Hopewell Hill. He was a real Albert County boy who took a keen interest in the Steeves family history. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening. He had a special place in his heart for animals and loved his many pets over the years. He was very proud of his sobriety and was a very active member of the AA Group for 26 years.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
He will be missed by his children; Sheldon Steeves (Nancy) of St. John's, NFLD, Jacqueline Beck (Mike) of Edgett's Landing, Stephen Steeves (Monique) of Riverview, Deborah Ellsmere (Edward) of Dartmouth, NS and Karen Hellenbrand (Uwe) of Reinbek, Germany. He will also be missed by the mother of his children, Margrethe Steeves of Riverview; by his 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Gregory of Moncton; brother, Sheldon Steeves (Lois) of Riverview; and by his beloved friend Margaret Mills of Moncton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Ted; half-sister, Laurie and half-brother, Raymond.
Honoring Boyd's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held in the Albert Mines Cemetery, Albert Mines, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Albert County Food Bank or the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital- Dialysis Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Reginald "Reg" E. Milton
1931-2012
Reginald "Reg" E. Milton, 80, of Hopewell Cape passed away on May 6, 2012 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Reg was born in Osborne Corner on September 1, 1931 the son of the late Peter and Doris (Butland) Milton. He was a true jack of all trades but especially enjoyed carpentry and working in the woods. He attended the Lower Cape Baptist Church and the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church when he was able. Reg loved being outdoors and it was truly one of his favorite places to be. His passion was hunting and he also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Burrow Hills Golf Club and was an avid golfer. He also had a special place in his heart for animals and his dog Kody and new dog, Reno meant the world to him. Reg felt so blessed to be able to stay in his home and have his caring and devoted family look after him. He had to be on dialysis and his wife, Gerry, made it possible to have the treatments done at home where he was comfortable. He was truly grateful to her for everything she did. Also to his treasured children and grandchildren, the last few years have been tough but really brought the family together when it counted. It made the time together so important and they have many beautiful memories to cherish. Reg is now at peace with nature and God.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Geraldine (Atkinson) Milton of Hopewell Cape; son, Parker Milton (Carol) of Stoney Creek; daughters, Deborah Milton (Brent) of Moncton, Jan Lutes (Russell) of Riverview, Gail Fillmore (Tom) of Beersville and Kim Tingley (Terry) of Riverview; his precious 16 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters, and he will be watching down on his newest great-grandson due in June; Sisters, Vivian Campbell of Hillsborough, Gloria Chase of Stoney Creek; brother, Richard "Dick" Milton of Weldon. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his step-father, Reginald Chase; sisters, Theresa, Harriett and Marjorie; brother, Darrell Chase.
The family will be meeting with relatives and friends for visitation on Thursday, May 10th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, May 11th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating and Rev Gordon Horsman assisting. Interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB.
Family flowers only please, donations to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Dialysis Unit, Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Department or Juvenile Diabetes. Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Due to allergies please refrain from wearing scents or perfumes to the visitation or Memorial Service.

Sylvia Faye Milton
1938-2012
Sylvia Faye Milton, 73, of Riverview passed away on Sunday, May 20th, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Sylvia was born in Moncton on November 9th, 1938 the daughter of the late Alonzo and Florence (Beaumont) Steeves. Sylvia was a housewife and mother, being a good wife to Vaughn and raising her daughter was her passion. Sylvia loved her grandchildren and they were her pride and joy, all of them having their own special place in her heart. She was an Associate Member of the Branch #32 Hillsborough Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed going to her TOPS Group. Sylvia spent many hours walking beaches and collected beach glass, she loved camping and especially enjoyed her times at St. Martins. She was truly a very special lady who will live in in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She would want us all to remember her smile and cherish all the good times we had together. " What we keep in memory is ours forever."
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Vaughn Milton of Riverview; treasured daughter, Roberta Alcorn (Bernie) of Riverview; precious grandchildren, Jeffery, Christopher and Julie; sisters, Lillian Milton of Albert Mines and Nettie Goguen of Moncton. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd, Ernest and Jack; four sisters, Lena, Elizabeth, Martha and Gloria.
The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Memorial Service and Celebration of Sylvia's Life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB.
Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Weldon John Elliott
1924-2012
Weldon John Elliott, 87, of Forest Dale Home and formerly of Alma passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2012 at the nursing home with his family by his side.
Weldon was born in Hastings, Albert County, NB on August 27th, 1924 the son of the late James and Catherine (Bogle) Elliott. He was a carpenter by trade and took great pride in his woodworking. He was one of a kind that will never be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Dorothy ( Barry) Elliott of Alma; children, Kevin Elliott (Betty), Norma Marks (Gordon), Jean Stevens (Bob), Daryl Elliott, Heather Mitchell (George) all of Oshawa, ON, Sheldon Elliott (Susan) of Riverside-Albert, Jerry Elliott of Hillsborough and Scott Elliott (Bernadette) of Riverside-Albert; step-children, Robert Dixon (Wendy) of Oshawa and Mary Bates (Robert) of Mississauga; his 23 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.; sisters, Reta Cameron of Halifax, Helen Black of Hillsborough and Kay Swim of Campbell River, BC. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by step-daughter, Jean Mejlaq ; sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Edna ; brothers, Charles, Walter, Victor, Parker and Winston .
The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. A Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30th, 2012 at 2:00pm with Rev. Don MacDougall officiating. Interment will be held in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma, NB.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Forest Dale Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
