1935-2008
The passing of Gerard Gray, 72, of St. Charles occurred suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, Monday, April 21, 2008. Son of Fabiola (Gallant) Gray, and the late Joseph Gray, Gerard worked at the City of Saint John until his retirement. Other than his mother, Gerard is survived by three sisters, Anita Gallant (late Lionel) of St. Louis du Kent, NB, Maria Gray of Moncton, NB and Fernande Arsenault (Félix) of Campbellton, NB; two brothers, Eric Gray of North Bay, ON and Sylvere Gray (Jeannine) of Moncton, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Gerard was predeceased by his father and one brother, Roger (Etta).
Their will be no visitation as per Gerard's wishes. A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Borromee Roman Catholic Church, St. Charles on Friday, April 25th 2008 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at the Parish cemetery at a later date. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibouctou (523-4252).

Albert Babineau
1922-2008
Cap - Lumiere, NB - Albert Babineau passed away on Sunday April 27th, 2008 at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent. Husband of Yvonne (Boucher) Babineau. Born in Chockpish he as 86 years of age. He was the son of the late William Babineau and the late Adelina (Babineau). Albert was retired and had worked as a fisherman. He was a member of the Richibouctou - Village Golden Age Club. He attended the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou - Village. Albert is survived by his wife, Yvonne daughters, Denise Feltmate (Glenn and daughter Angela) - Moncton, Diane Robinson (Jeff) - Harcourt, sisters, Germaine Downey - Chockpish, Rita Boucher (Alcide) - Cap Lumiere, brother, André. Predeceased by three sisters, Marie, Rosée and Sophie, one brother, Emile and four step brothers, Gerard, Jean-Baptiste, Alyre and Gerome along with several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room. Richibouctou - Village with visitation Wednesday 2 to 4, 5:30 PM until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou - village Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 at 7PM. Place of Internment Parish Cemetery. Elvina Geneau
1920-2008
Elvina Geneau, 88, of Acadieville, NB, wife of the late Charles J. Geneau, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi on Sunday April 27, 2008. Born in St. Louis de Kent to the late Napoleon Babineau and the late Domithilde (Daigle) Babineau. Elvina was a member of the Golden Age Club in Richibucto. She also attended the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Valdine Miller (Zélicien Doiron), Waltham, Mass.; two sons, Donald Geneau (Dora) and Ola Geneau (Marcella), both of Acadieville; three brothers, Dominic, Léon and Joe; seven granchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Diane; one son, Aldéo; four sisters, Victime Arsenault, Lydia Robichaud, Marguerite Mcgraw, Yvonne Lapointe; four brothers, Laurent Babineau, François Babineau, Sylvain Babineau and Olivier Babineau.
Resting at Thompson Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday from noon until time of funeral. Funeral Mass in the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery. Joanne Vautour
1956-2008
Joanne Vautour, 51, wife of Jeannot Vautour of St. Edouard de Kent passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, NB, Tuesday, June 17th. Born in Richibucto she was the daughter of Joseph Allain and the late Jeannine (Jaillet) Allain. She had been employed at B.A. Richards Ltd. She attended Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne de Kent. She is survived by her husband, Jeannot; father, Joseph (Alina); one daughter, Lynn MacDonald (Joseph), Kentville, NS; one brother, Maurice Allain, Richibouctou-Village, NB; one grandson, Aidan; close friend, Marthe Leger-Shortall; special aunt and uncle, Annette and Bertin, and several aunts & uncles.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation Friday, from 2 to 4 and 5:00pm until departure for funeral. Funeral Mass will be held at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne de Kent, NB, on Friday, June 20th at 7pm. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

Muriel Boyce
1943-2008
Muriel Boyce, wife of the late Donnie Boyce of Moncton passed away at the Moncton Hospital, Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the age of 65 years Born in Molus River, she was the daughter of Annie (Cormier) Slattery and the late William J. Slattery. Besides her mother, Annie, Muriel is survived by one daughter, Donna (Sandy), St. Charles; one sister, Betty Slattery, Moncton; two brothers, Bill Slattery, Moncton and Jim Slattery (Lucy), Moncton; four grandchildren, Jessica (Jamie), Kyle, Brandy, Shelby; one great grandchild, Joey.
As per Muriel's Wishes, family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto, Thursday, June 26th, 2008 at 2:00pm. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252)

Dominique Babineau
1924-2008
Dominique Babineau, of St. Louis De Kent and husband of the late Elsie Babineau, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Wednesday June 25 at the age of 84 years. Born in St. Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late Napoleon Babineau and the late Domithilde (Daigle) Babineau. Before retiring, Dominique had been a Millwright. He had also served overseas with the Canadian Infantry during W.W.II. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph (Hilda), Jeddore, Nova Scotia, Leon (late Bertha), Moncton; and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by five sisters, Victime Arsenault, Lydia Robichaud, Marguerite McGraw, Yvonne LaPointe, Elvina Geneau; and four brothers, Laurent, Francois, Sylvain, Oliver.
In keeping with Dominiques wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252)

Melinda Babin
1909-2008
It is with great sadness that the family of Melinda announces her death at the age of 98 after a brief illness at Hospital Stella Maris de Kent on June 25, 2008. Melinda was born and raised in Richibucto and was the daughter of the late Nicolas Mazerolle of Pointe Sapin and the late Venerante Breau of Neguac.
She was the wife of the late Leonard (Leo) Babin of Aldouane. A brother Andrew Mazerolle of Richibucto also predeceased her as well as many brothers and sisters. Melinda is survived by her daughter Estelle Rowand (James) of Edmonton, Alberta. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Bernard Mazerolle (Edith), Martha Peters (David), Donald Mazerolle (Rachel), Carmel Leblanc (Roger), Arthur Babin (Fernande), Francois Babin (Eva) and several great nieces and nephews. She was employed with the province of NB for many years, She was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or Richibucto where she enjoyed dancing on Saturday nights. Melinda cherished family and friends and always welcomed a chance to spend time with them.
Visitation will be at Thompson's Funeral Home in Richibucto on Sunday, June 29 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Monday, June 30 from 10 to 11am. Funeral mass will be on Monday June 30 at 11am St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, 523-4252.

Emilienne LeBlanc
1919-2008
Emilienne LeBlanc, 88 of St. Norbert, NB, wife of the late Irenée LeBlanc, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Thursday, June 26, 2008. Born in St. Norbert to the late Aimé and Marie Boucher, she was a member of the St. Norbert Golden Age Club. Emilienne is survived by a daughter, Bernice LeBlanc of Cocagne; two sons, Roger LeBlanc (Rosemande) of Bouctouche and Jean-Noel LeBlanc (Jeannette) of St. Paul de Kent; a sister, Elodie Vautour, Moncton; a brother, Arsene Boucher, Moncton; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Zelie Fontaine; nine brothers, Phylias Boucher, Gerard Boucher, Antoine Boucher, Alfred Boucher, Yvon Boucher, Théophile Boucher, Aris Boucher, Edward Boucher, and Ulyise Boucher.
Resting at St. Norbert Slumber Room, with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday from 9 am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass at St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment at the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).

Vlelida Robichaud
1912-2008
It is with great sadness that the family of Velida announces her death at the age of 95 after a brief illness at the Stella Maris Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 2008.
Valida was born and raised in Little Aldouane, she was the daughter of the late Charles Vautour and the late Brigitte(Daigle) Vautour. She was the wife of the late Patrick B. Robichaud.
Left to mourn her passing are daughters, Dorice Daigle (Napoleon) of Saint John, Eva Johnson (late Roy) of Richibucto, Edith Mazerolle (Bernard) of Shediac Bridge and sons, Leonard of Richibucto, Baptiste of Saint Charles, George (Denise) of Aldouane.
She had 11 grandchildren, Edward, Shirley, Jeanne, Melvin, Wade, Kevin, Molly, Diane, Mark, Gisele, George and 17 great grandchildren, Cheryl, Cory, Melanie, Mathieu, Adam, Kyle, Dillon, Carter, Trisha, Caleb, Connor, Gracelyn, Mario, Josette, Noah, Courtney, Ashley.
Velida had worked at the fish factory for 25 years. She was a member of the Richibucto Golden Age Club. and was an avid bingo player, where she often volunteered and she also quilted many beautiful blankets in her spare time. Velida loved to listen to music and spend time with family and friends.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by 6 sisters, Celeste, Brigitte, Florence, Aurelie, Elise, Anna(infant) and 4 brothers, Maxime, Martin, Arthur, Fidele.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252), with visitation starting Monday, June 30th, from 2-4 and 7-9, and again Tuesday, 12:00 Noon until funeral. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto, Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

Calixte Robichaud
1919-2008
Calixte Robichaud, 88, husband of Lydia (Maillet) Robichaud, and of St. Louis de Kent, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Tuesday July 1st, 2008. Born in St. Louis de Kent he was the son of the late Phillippe Robichaud and the late Olympe (Robichaud) Robichaud. Calixte was retired but had been a machine operator/supervisor for Contental Can Co. in Toronto Ontario for 27 years. He was a member of the Canadian Legion Br. No. 30 and the St. Louis Golden Age Club. He also served over seas during WWII with Regiment De Maisoneuve. He loved hunting and especially fishing, sitting for hours at his favorite spots on the St. Louis River. He also enjoyed many other activities with his wife and best friend Lydia. Activities including clam digging, walking, biking, cross country skiing, dancing (always arguing who had the right step!), cribbage, and watching his favorite team the "Blue Jays". He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Lydia; his children Bertrand (Christine), Edmonton, Alberta, Gilles (Gail), St. Charles, Gabrielle (Wade) Cornell, Brooklyn, NS, Donna, St. Louis de Kent; his grandchildren, Stephanie, David, Melissa, Jennifer, Phillip; his great-grandchildren, Myrissa & Julian; and several nieces & nephews. Calixte was the last surviving member of his immediate family, predeceased by five sisters, Théotiste, Jane, Louise, Eva & Sophie; three brothers, Johnny, Philippe & Gilbert.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at 11:00am. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral, Richibucto (523-4252)

Jack Reilley Charles Hudson
2002-2008
With great sadness we announce the death of Jack Reilley Charles Hudson, 6, of Rexton who passed away accidentally on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Born in Moncton, he was the beloved son of Scott Hudson and Jennifer (Hicks). Besides his mother and father, Jack is survived by one sister, Kelsey; and two brothers, Cayden and Wyatt; paternal grandparents, Roger and Linda Hudson; maternal grandparents, Bonnie Ketcheson and Francois Thibodeau; great grandparents, Ethan Hudson, Elsie and Allister MacGregor; aunts and uncles, Stephanie and Kurt Donald, Dan and Melanie Hicks, Christopher Thibodeau.
Jack was dearly loved by his large family of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and many family and friends. Jack will always be remembered for his exuberance, his love of trucks, the great outdoors, and "K.I.S.S."
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, with visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Adrien J. P. Johnson
1938-2008
Richibucto, NB - Adrien J. P. Johnson, 70 of Richibucto, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, NB on Sunday, July 27th, 2008. Born in Pont du Millieu, NB he was the son of the late Ben Johnson and late Sadie (Babineau) Johnson. He was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Richibucto Legion, Branch No. 30. Adrien loved hunting, fishing was an avid card player. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years Mary; one daughter - Connie Johnson (Aurele Richard) - Richibouctou-Village; one son - Adrien Jr - Richibucto; one very special grandson - Ryan Ty Allain; two sisters - Dianna Thibodeau (Late Joe) - Richibucto, Jeannette Daigle (Clarence) - Aldouane; four brothers - Eric (Elva) - Galloway, Ronald (Marjorie) - Toronto, Elmo (Noella) - Bouctouche, Omer - ON; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five brothers - Romeo (May), Adelard (Loreda), Albert, Roger (Victoria) and Edgar. Visitation will be at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Friday, August 1st, from 7-9. As per Adrien's wishes there will be no funeral mass. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto 523-4252.

Arthur LeBlanc
1915-2008
Kent Junction, NB - Arthur LeBlanc, age 93, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 with his family by his side.
Born in Claire-Fontaine, he was the son of the late Ubald and Suzanne (Comeau) LeBlanc. Retired, Arthur had been a Cement Finisher with H. E. Carson & Son of Moncton.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Stella Watt (Bernard) of South Nelson, Eveline Thériault (Jean-Louis) of Kent Junction, his sons; Ernest (Béatrice) and Joseph (Marie) both of Kent Junction, sister Eugénie Cormier of Acadieville, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Arthur is also survived by his special friend of 8 years; Oliva Vautour.
Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Annie Chase (2000), 1 sister; Elise and 2 brothers; Adolphe and Edmond.
Resting at St Timothée Roman Catholic Church, in Adamsville with visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9, Friday 1 PM until time of funeral.
Funeral Mass will be held at St Timothée RC Church Friday, August 8, 2008 at 2PM. Internment in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St Timothée Cemetery funds or memorial of the donor’ s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’ s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
