GORDON STEVEN KROTOWICH Peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on October 12, 2004, Gordon passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 60 years. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Steve and Lena. He is survived by his loving companion Elaine Gilbert; his two brothers, Peter and Arnie; and his sister Diane; and many relatives and friends. ANDRES LABAJO

ANDRES PARDALES LABAJO September 23, 1932 - October 12, 2004 Andres Labajo passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Irene and Felix; parents-in-law, Eulagia and Rufo; siblings, Eufracia (Juan), Ursula, Salvador, Vicente (Nene) and Felisa (Eugenio). Andres will be lovingly remembered by his wife Visitacion; daughter Nelia and son-in-law Regalado Miranda; grandchildren, Eileen and Ramon; sister-in-law Conching (Orping) Aldaba; their children, Ranilo (Ruby), Joey (Laura), Dennis (Jennifer) and Marivic; as well as many grandnieces and nephews. He is also survived by his cousins, Luis (Delia) Saavedra and their family. Andres will also be missed by many friends and family members in the United States and the Philippines. Lamay will be held on Thursday, October 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with prayers at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 15, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St., with Fr. Dado Parenas as celebrant. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Unit 4, for their kindness and care, and to the many family and friends who visited. LYDIA LACH In loving memory of Lydia Lach, aged 93 years. Born August 25, 1911 and died October 9, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Otto Lach. ALBERT (BUD) WILLIAM LYNCH Suddenly, on Thursday, October 7, 2004, Bud Lynch of Winnipeg passed away at the age of 74 years. Bud is survived by his children, Carl (Eileen), Bill (Helen), Barry, Gail Zarichanski (Harry) and Mareen Korasil (Glen); grandchildren, Sherri (Dwayne), Shawn, Shannon, Jocelyn, Melissa and Willie; his special great-grandchildren, Cody, Katelin, Riley and Andrew; sister Beatrice Barry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Bud was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Evelyn Lynch; brother Frank Lynch; and his daughter Alyn Houghton. In compliance with Bud's wishes, a private family interment will take place at a later date. JORDAN GREY PACKO July 1st, 2002 - October 11th, 2004 Jordan's family who will cherish his memories, his grandma and grandpa, Lorna and Colin; his mom, Anita; his dad, Jonathon; his brothers, Jeremy and Michael; his sister, Kailey; his grandma Kathy and grandpa John Paul. When Jordan was about five months old he used to crawl around like a crab, too small and so active. He used to dance around Grandma's house with his hands in the air, praising to "mama's" Christian tunes. Jordan waved at everyone he saw and said, "hi" or "HI." Every night before he went to bed he would say, "night, night." My love, my heart. My heart aches for you.....and always will. His brother Michael was his partner in crime, they would team up and trash the house after it was cleaned, boys will be boys. Your face full of laughter, your heart in your eyes, that's what I'll remember forever and all time. For two years we had you worth a lifetime of memories. ERNEST PARKER

ERNEST LLOYD PARKER Surrounded by his loving family, Ernest Lloyd Parker peacefully passed into the arms of his Saviour on Monday, October 11, 2004. Predeceased by his parents; three sisters, Mary, Myrtle and Margaret; and seven brothers, Warren, Richard, Walter, James, Jeffrey, Wilfred and Russell. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Peggy; children, David, Terry (Suzanne), Susan (Scott) Lougheed and William (Ardith); grandchildren, Graham, Laura, Darryl, Paige, Kelly, Sydney and Emma. Also surviving are his sister Eva Day; brother Tom (Ivy); and many nieces and nephews. Dad was born icon in the Qu'Appelle Valley on December 31, 1918, where he worked the family farm until the outbreak of the Second World War. He enlisted in the Army, being stationed in England and received his commission as a First Lieutenant from Sandhurst military College. While in England, he met and married his wife Peggy and returned to Canada at the end of the war. Shortly after returning to Canada, he joined Massey Ferguson where he started off as a Block Man, taking various posts throughout Western Canada. He and Peggy moved their family to Winnipeg in 1966, when he became the Western District Sales Manager, retiring in 1979. Dad enjoyed many happy times at his hobby farm outside Marquette. He also enjoyed travelling with Peggy, golf, curling and playing bridge with friends. The family would like to thank the care givers at the Deer Lodge Centre, for the compassion shown to our Dad. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. NORA KATHLEEN PETHYBRIDGE Nora passed away peacefully, in her sleep, on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, at the Boyne Lodge in Carman at the age of 86. She is survived by two brothers, Joseph (Jean) Pethybridge of Carman, MB, Charles Clay (Audrey) of Minneapolis; one sister Eileen (Ken) of Dugald, MB; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Ed Pethybridge; and one brother Jack in the R.C.A.F in the Second World War. Funeral service will be held from Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman on Friday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery. SCOTT RICHARD PIANA March 15, 1984 - October 11, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic, accidental passing of Scott. Scott will be deeply missed by his parents, Rick and Darlene; sister Kristina; grandparents, Hollis Kinsey and Frank and Elda Piana; special friend Heather; aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Scott was predeceased by his grandmother Teena Kinsey. Scott will be fondly remembered as the boy in red who loved camping, fishing, playing with and walking Sadie, the family dog. His absolute passion was cars. He could be found regularly polishing his pride and joy. He enjoyed talking about and comparing cars with anyone, especially other car enthusiasts. Scott was enrolled in the Metals and Aerospace program at Murdoch MacKay Collegiate and attended classes at the Adult Education Centre in Transcona. He worked part time in the produce department at Superstore. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Scott's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Mint). Flowers gratefully declined. OLIVER REINHOLD RACH 1920 - 2004 Oliver Reinhold Rach passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Boundary Trails Health Centre. Born in the 1-6 District, Oliver was educated in the Lindal School District. On completion of his education, he joined his parents and brothers in successful farming for over 50 years. Forty years ago he gave up his bachelor hood to marry Mildred Elliot and her family. Oliver enjoyed fishing and hunting but his greatest joy was his work shop and coffee with his buddies. Oliver's sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and his sister. Oliver is survived by Mildred and her family, Shirley and her husband Laurie Langrell of Winnipeg, MB; Caroll and her husband Jerry Pazgaj of Lethbridge, AB; Jack and his wife Sharon Elliot of Lac Du Bonnet, MB. He is also survived by grandchildren, Lori and husband Mike Burrows of Winnipeg; Kevin and Paul Langrell; Jeff and wife Virginia Hayhurst; Dean and wife Sheri Hayhurst; Kirk Hayhurst all of Lethbridge; Keri Elliot of Lac Du Bonnet and Lisa and husband Neil Balfor of Winnipeg; great-grandchildren, Brendan and Jesse Burrows; Tavia Hayhurst and Ashley Hayhurst as well as numerous relatives and friends. JOHN SIRYJ

JOHN SIRYJ Longtime Flin Flon resident John Siryj passed away, at the age of 77, on October 12, 2004 at the Flin Flon General Hospital, after a brief illness. John came to Canada from Ukraine in 1930, at the age of three, with his parents and brother. He completed high school in Flin Flon and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in electrical engineering. While at university, he enjoyed singing in the Ukrainian male chorus under the leadership of Alexander Koshetz. Returning to Flin Flon he became a partner in the family business, the Flin Flon Dry Cleaners, and remained with the firm until his retirement. He continued to live in Flin Flon and, over the years, he greatly enjoyed the company of many good friends. John's pastimes included preparing his culinary specialties for his friends, as well as fishing and prospecting. He read widely and loved a good debate. His involvement with the Hapnot Lake Wilderness Project in its early years was an example of his love of the outdoors. John is survived by his nieces Vicky and Darcia, and his sister-in-law Anne. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Katherine; and his brother Michael. According to his wishes, cremation will take place. Friends may pay their last respects Saturday, October 16 from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m. from the Chapel of Dadson Funeral Home. 120 Hwy. 10A, Flin Flon.
