JOHN PEREA

Mr. Perea, 73, died May 26, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a union laborer and served in the Army for three years.

Mr. Perea was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Eaton to Colastico and Prediconda (Lujan) Perea, who are deceased. He was married July 30, 1952, to Margaret "Maggie" Herrera, who is deceased.

He is survived by three sons, Charles, John and James; three daughters, Gloria Espinoza, Ruby Perea and Liz Hinojosa; four brothers, Raymond, Henry, Felix and Frank; a sister, Carol; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cappadona's Family Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Burial will be after the funeral service at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. After the burial, a potluck dinner will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

JUDITH M. FLETCHER

Mrs. Fletcher, 62, died May 29, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs after a long battle with cancer. She was a registered nurse, homemaker and medical office assistant.

Mrs. Fletcher was born July 14, 1938, in Estherville, Iowa, to Clayton M. and Mamie Sylvia (Bonstead) Roseboro. Her father is deceased. She was married June 27, 1964, to Roger L. Fletcher.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Russell D. of Colorado Springs, Kevin J. of Portland, Ore., and Mark R. of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Candyce L. of Colorado Springs; her mother; a brother, Terry Roseboro of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with a reception to follow, at Grace Presbyterian Church, 2511 N. Logan Ave. Inurnment will be private. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Suite 600, Colorado Springs 80903.

ARTHUR R. FONTANA

Mr. Fontana, 57, died May 29, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a field locator with the Colorado Springs Utilities Department.

Mr. Fontana was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Portland, Ore., to Arthur R. and Sara (Reber) Fontana, who are deceased. He was married Feb. 14, 1987, to Deborah A. "Debbie" Weaks.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Arthur R. III, Marcus and Anthony Holiday; two daughters, Christie Compton and Michelle Meek; his stepmother, Letha Fontana; two brothers, Keith Paxton and Randy Paxton; a sister, Sherry Wilkening; six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodmen Valley Chapel in the Old Stone Chapel, 350 Chapel Lane. Cappadona's Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church and School, 6300 Ruth Drive, Yacca Valley, CA 92284.

DENNIS "DENNY" LORD

Mr. Lord, 56, died May 28, 2001, near Woodland Park. He was owner of and self-employed at AGSR Corp. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam.

Mr. Lord was born Nov. 12, 1944, in Chicago to Lawrence and Mary (Weiss) Lord. His father is deceased. He was married Feb. 21, 1980, to Bridget Roberts.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Dennis L. of Littleton; three daughters, Angela Carsurd of Florida, Cara Lord of Woodland Park and Shannon Lord of Woodland Park; his mother; a brother, Robert of Florida; a sister, Patricia Grandolph of Chicago; and four grandchildren.

A rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, 116 S. West St., Woodland Park. Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church. A private burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Mountain Memorial Services, 51 County Road 5, Divide, 687-0333, is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be in the name of Cara and Shannon Lord Educational Fund in care of Vectra Bank, P.O. Box 39, Woodland Park 80866.

HYUNG SUK LEE

Mr. Lee, 43, died May 28, 2001, at his place of business in Colorado Springs. He was shot in a robbery. He was owner/operator of Valli Hi Liquors.

Mr. Lee was born May 19, 1958, in Seoul, South Korea, to Tae Keun Lee and Pok Soon Bae. He was married in 1983 to Han Ye Lee.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, David, Jason and Bruce; his parents; two brothers, Hyung Joon Lee and Hyung Bok Lee; and a sister, Hyung Soon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace." Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

HARRY EDWARD KRAIG

Mr. Kraig, 79, died May 26, 2001, at a local care center.

Mr. Kraig was born Jan 20, 1922, in Wellington to Henry Lee and Maude Ethel (Bibee) Kraig, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 7, 1949, to Mary Elizabeth Edmonds.

He is survived by his wife; a son, James Stephen, of Manitou Springs; two daughters, Mary Katherine Rogers of Manitou Springs and Leslee Joanne Foerster of Las Vegas; a sister; several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

No services will be held. Cremation is planned. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Key Senior Services, 2250 Bott Ave., Colorado Springs 80904.

IRENE MABEL (SHORT) FIFE

Mrs. Fife, 84, died May 25, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Fife was born Aug. 3, 1916, in Lincoln, Neb., to Samuel and Jessie (Bush) Short, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 2, 1947, to Russell Arthur Fife, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Keith Bruce, of Grand Junction; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Fife-Almeida, of Colorado Springs; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Pikes Peak Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7990. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at East United Methodist Church, 1505 E. Monument St. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East United Methodist Church, 1505 E. Monument St., Colorado Springs 80909.

GLEN W. ROBERTS

Mr. Roberts, 71, died May 25, 2001, at home in Colorado Springs. He was a retired master steam fitter and pipe fitter. He also served in the Canadian Army from 1945 to 1950.

Mr. Roberts was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Deloraine, Manitoba, Canada, to William E. and Irene (Harris) Roberts, who are deceased. He was married Jan. 12, 1950, to Anna E. Prentice.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Wayne E. of Colorado Springs, Brian J. of Orlando, Fla., and Bruce A. of Kirkfield, Ontario, Canada; a daughter, Glenda Saunders, of Roblin, Ontario, Canada; a son-in-law, Doug Saunders, of Roblin; three daughters-in-law, Connie of Colorado Springs, Kathy of Orlando and Leanne of Kirkfield; three sisters, Barbara Joan Cairnes, Lois Shaw and Lynda Leming, all of Canada; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Private inurnment is planned. Spartan Services, 955 S. Union Blvd., 634-0402, is handling arrangements.

FREDERICK ELLERY CHARLTON

Mr. Charlton, 80, died May 24, 2001, at a local hospital. He was retired from civil service after 30 years. He also served in the Army for four years, attaining the rank of sergeant.

Mr. Charlton was born June 10, 1920, in Roanoke, Vir., to John and Virginia Charlton, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 10, 1950, to Selena Bragg, who is deceased.

He is survived by a stepson, Leslie Franklin, of Denver; two daughters, Carolyn E. Marks of Clarksville, Tenn., and Edith C. Morgan of Denver; a sister, Johnella Walker, of Stockton, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Forrest E. Potts Jr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Angelus Funeral Directors, 2535 Airport Road, 391-1918. Services will be at noon Wednesday at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 5485 Alegre Circle, Fountain. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

MARGARET LOUISE (HERSKIND) MUNSON

Mrs. Munson, 88, died May 25, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Munson was born Oct. 7, 1912, in Englewood to Peter and Marion (Nielsen) Herskind, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 26, 1934, to William Ralph Munson, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Dr. William A. Munson, of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Marion Gotschall, of Juneau, Alaska; a sister, Ella Herskind Arnold; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis C. Herskind, Albert Herskind and Gunnar Herskind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou St. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the giver's choice.

RAYMOND M. WELLS

Mr. Wells, 93, died May 25, 2001, at a local care center. He was an iron worker.

Mr. Wells was born April 17, 1908, in Murray, Iowa, to Frank and Delpha (Fivecoat) Wells, who are deceased. He was married Feb 12, 1983, to Marjorie Haugh.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Anthony; a daughter, Carol Peterson; a brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen; a daughter, E. Maxine Custer; and a brother.

Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crystal Valley Cemetery, 502 Plainview Place, Manitou Springs. The Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., 634-8831, is handling arrangements.

ROBERT B. HANNUM

Mr. Hannum, 74, died May 20, 2001, in Colorado Springs of cancer. He was a retired manager from Albany Hotel and an artist. He also served in the Army for four years during World War II.

Mr. Hannum was born June 12, 1926, in Ashland, N.J., to Clifford and Mae (Geiger) Hannum, who are deceased. He was married to Jean L. Sparks.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Robin Schooley; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Private inurnment is planned. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling arrangements.

PATRICIA G. GODBEE

Mrs. Godbee, 56, a former Colorado Springs resident, died May 23, 2001, in Sylvania, Ga. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Godbee was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Middletown, Ohio, to Harold "Jack" Charles and Ollie (Allen) Newman, who are deceased. She was married June 5, 1993, to Ernest Godbee.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, James Scott Chambers, John P. Chambers and Herbert J. Kurtz, all of Colorado Springs; a step-son, Ernest Godbee Jr., of Colorado Springs; a step-daughter, Mary J. Naffziger of Pierce; four brothers, Jerry Lowe, Charles Newman, Phillip Newman and Walter Newman; three sisters, Wanda Bowman, Catherine Newman and Pamela Snyder; and three grandchildren.

Visitations will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.
