Ardith E. FREY
Ardith E. FREY, 77, of Longmont died Dec. 30, 2006, at McKee Medical Center's Hospice Care Center in Loveland.
She was the mother of John Frey of Loveland. She also is survived by other sons, step-children, grandchildren and relatives.
She was born July 22, 1929, in Goodland, Kan.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel, 119 S. Main St., Holly, Colo. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of service. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Community Lutheran Church, 9775 Ute Highway 66, Longmont.

HART, Kathleen J. “Kay”
Kathleen J. “Kay” HART, 74, of Loveland, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2007, New Year’s Day, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland after a long illness.
She was born April 3, 1932, in Hunlock Township, Luzerne County, Pa., to Margaret and Loren Culver. She attended Shickshinny High School and was a drum majorette.
In 1948 she married Afred Hoffman and moved to the Phoenixville/Pottstown area of Pennsylvania.
She had two daughters, Sharon born in 1956, and Robin born in 1962. After a divorce in 1976, she married Fred Hart in 1979 and moved to Loveland in 1985. Prior to moving west, they made many trips from Pennsylvania to Colorado and Wyoming, both driving and flying their airplane. Kay loved to fly and had worked on obtaining a pilot’s license. She loved the mountains and the area of Ouray and Silverton.
“Kate, ” as she is known to her family in Pennsylvania, had an adventurous spirit and traveled throughout the West with her husband, collecting rocks and minerals. Montana and Wyoming were favorite areas.
She liked to collect dolls and teddy bears, and she was very fond of the cooking channel and watching Rockies baseball games.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Hart; her mother, Margaret Culver of Shickshinny; three sisters, Loretta Steinruck, Shirley Lewis of Hunlock Creek, Pa., and Connie Ridall of Shickshinny; two brothers, Jim Culver of Hunlock Creek, and Delano Culver of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon Jaramillo and Robin Dunlap, both of Laramie, Wyo.; and two grandchildren, JP and Jennifer Jaramillo, both of Laramie.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at Resthaven Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Wilner “Bill” LOWE
Wilner “Bill” LOWE, 79, died Dec. 27, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.
He was a third-generation Loveland resident. He was born in Loveland on June 14, 1927. Both sets of his grandparents (Bensons and Lowes) homesteaded in the area.
He graduated from Loveland High School in 1945, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.
He graduated with a degree in pharmacy from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1951. After a few years as a pharmaceutical representative in Utah and Montana, Mr. Lowe settled in Fort Collins, working in and eventually owning the Northern Pharmacy, situated in the historic Northern Hotel on College Avenue. He sold the business in 1980 and became the director of pharmacy at Colorado State University Student Health until he retired in 1990.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Lowe Dreith of Gold Beach, Ore., and his nephews, Bruce Dreith, Woodland, Calif., and Randall Dreith, Sacramento, Calif.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Adriel Hills Recreation Center in Fort Collins.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Hospice of Larimer County.

Clifford L. DeLude
April 3, 1929 to April 27, 2012
Clifford L. DeLude, 83, formerly of Loveland passed away on April 27, 2012 at his home in Fort Collins.
He was born on April 3, 1929 in Tonganoxie, Kansas to Roland and Goldie (Headley) DeLude.
He grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas. Cliff was a graduate from the University of Kansas with a degree in music and from Purdue University with a Masters Degree in engineering.
He married Carol Ann Mortlock on December 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.
She preceded him in death on September 14, 1985.
Cliff had lived in Loveland since 1963 and worked as an Engineer for Hewlett Packard in both Loveland and Fort Collins for 35 years.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland as well as Blessed John the XXIII University Parish in Fort Collins.
He enjoyed fishing, hiking, walking, skiing and traveling. Cliff is survived by his children: David DeLude and wife Min of Aptos, California, Steve DeLude and wife Laura of Fort Collins, Greg DeLude of Fort Collins and Nora Neville and husband David of Bellvue; his sister Frances Cassell and her husband Bill, of Pleasanton, CA; and his grandchildren: Daniel DeLude, Justin DeLude, Sam DeLude, Teghan DeLude, Caeley Neville, and Carly DeLude. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00am Friday, May 4, 2012 at Allnutt Funeral Service. Inurnment at Loveland Burial Park.

Edgar Allen Chapman

Edgar Allen Chapman of Loveland, CO passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 30, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was born in Denver, CO, and moved around quite often while he was young. He spent much of his later childhood in Colorado Springs. Ed helped support his family by driving a Coke truck at the age of 15 and he later enlisted in the United States Air Force. Ed was very proud of his service to his country. While stationed in Charleston, SC, he repaired aircraft radio systems, which led to his interest in flying. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Ed pursued his passion for flying by obtaining his private pilot's license. He continued on by earning his instrument rating, and later became a flight instructor.
In 1962, Ed began a career with National Cash Register (NCR Corporation), and worked there until he retired in 1994. During his career, Ed's job required him to change with the times. He began by repairing manual cash registers and as technology improved, he learned to service automated teller machines. During the transition, Ed made many trips to Dayton, Ohio for training. Both of his boys flew to Dayton to meet their dad and bonded during the car trip back to Colorado. It was a very enjoyable experience for both boys. Following his retirement from NCR, Ed sold real estate for a short time, but felt that he belonged back in the repair industry. He returned to work servicing gaming machines in Colorado mountain towns.
Ed loved spending time with his family at home and away. They look back fondly on many summers spent RV camping, waterskiing, and traveling around the country. Recently, he traveled further from home exploring European locations, and cruising the Atlantic and Pacific oceans as well as the Alaskan shoreline. While at home, Ed kept busy with woodworking, and had an extensive collection of power tools. He enjoyed tinkering with any electronic gadgets, and spending time on the computer. In what free time he had left, Ed enjoyed brewing beer and making wine. Ed also sang in the Valentine City Chorus and participated in several barbershop competitions throughout the region.
Ed was a longtime member of Mountain View Presbyterian Church. He served as Deacon, usher, and spent many years on the audio/visual team.
Ed is survived by his wife, Susan, sister Betty Cooper of Greeley, daughters Francine Chapman of Fort Collins and Sandra (Chapman) Brick and husband Steve of West Allis, WI, sons Randy Chapman and wife Gina of Simi Valley, CA, Daniel Chapman and wife Amber of Johnstown; grandsons Dustin, John, Jacob, and Dylan, as well as a broad extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Lucy Newell, with whom he had a very special relationship.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Presbyterian Church or Pathways Hospice. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, Friday, May 4th at 10:30 A.M.
James E. Alexander

James Earl Alexander, 63 of Johnstown, passed away at his residence on April 29, 2012.
James was born November 13, 1948 in Meridian, Mississippi to Julian Earl Alexander and Sybil Williams Alexander.
Cremation has been completed. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Billye G. Whitcraft
June 19, 1929 - April 15, 2012
Billye Whitcraft, formerly of Loveland Colorado, died at the age of 82 in Las Vegas, Nevada April 15, 2012. Billye was born June 19, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma to Lela Maud Whited and Edd Towne. She was married to Thomas Whitcraft in Carlsbad, New Mexico in April 1952. They traveled with the National Park Service, working in Hawaii on the Island of Maui; in Estes Park, Colorado; and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They retired to Loveland in 1970. She lived there until moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004 to live with her daughter.
Billye was a homemaker until 1970. She later worked as an Avon representative; a receptionist in banks, mortgage companies and insurance companies; and, as a driver for the auto auction.
Billye is survived by her only child, Cathleen Whitcraft, formerly of Loveland. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron twice. She was also active in the Order of the White Shrine and served once as the Worthy High Priestess. She enjoyed traveling, nature walks, experiencing new cuisine, and playing with pets.
Billye is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Whitcraft who died November 14, 1975. Cremation has been conducted. Memorial service will be at Rest Haven Memory Garden in Fort Collins, Colorado. Time and date are pending.
Luella D. Sheldon
December 16, 1925 - April 20, 2012
Luella Dorthy Sheldon formerly of Loveland, died April 20, 2012 in Bentonville, AR. She was born Dec. 16, 1925 in Gibbon, NE to Martin and Dorthy delaMotte. She was 86 years old.
She married Edgar “Ed” Sheldon Oct. 4, 1952 in Chicago IL and they lived there until moving to Loveland in 1982. She later moved to Bentonville, AR in 2009. Luella was a waitress and a retail clerk for many years.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. She loved reading, crocheting, and doing her yard work.
She is survived by her daughter Gail Sheldon of Loveland and Sharon Desavedo (Les) of Bentonville, AR; brother Don delaMotte of Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Luella is preceded in death by her husband Ed, son Ron Sheldon, and brothers Harold and Loren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, 10:30 am at Mt Olive Lutheran Church. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial in Kimball, NE.
Margaret E. Johannsen

Margaret Johannsen, 93, of Loveland, formerly of Lyndhurst, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2012.
Margaret was born and resided in Denmark until the day that her family immigrated to the United States when she was a small child.
She was married to her husband Bernard Johannsen for 45 years until the day of his passing several decades ago.
Survivors include 3 daughters - Greta, Karen and Donna, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 5 nieces.
She was a homemaker for many years until she carved out a career for herself as a draftsperson for Leslie Company that was located in Lyndhurst, NJ.
A private family memorial will be held in the future at a yet undetermined date.

Christobal “Joe” Lopez enjoyed family, friends and wrestling. Leaving behind his sister, Mary Gaona; wife, Rosalita Lopez, seven children: Debbie, Marria, Ivan, Nancy, Sharon, Becky, and Crystal and 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church prior to the rosary. Cremation will take place and a graveside inurnment will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 8th at Loveland Burial Park. Karen E. Ehlers Bauman
October 5, 1945 - April 17, 2012
Karen E. Ehlers Bauman, age 66 of Loveland, CO formerly of Lincoln, died April 17, 2012 in Loveland. She was born October 5, 1945 in Billings, MT to Walter and Janice (Ireland) Ehlers. Karen was involved with Campfire Girls, Girl Scouts, Theta Rho and was very active in the churches she attended and really enjoyed Calvary Community Church. She loved to help people, which led her to work in nursing homes and child care. Karen won an award for putting in the most hours as a caregiver when she worked at a nursing home, she also was involved with the Foster Grandma Program. She loved spending time with her family, camping, fishing and swimming when she was younger.
Survivors include her husband Ron Bauman of Loveland, CO; Children, Tammy of Apple Valley, MN. Shawn of Palmyra, NE. and Aaron of Lincoln. Grandchildren, Max of Apple Valley, MN. Isaiha and Jaden of Lincoln. Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Wayne and Linda Ehlers and Gary and Dorothy Ehlers all of Lincoln. Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in Calvary Community Church, 4400 N. 1st Street, Lincoln.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wyuka Funeral Home, 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The family will be present from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. to greet friends.
Memorials may be left for the family for a later designation.
Helen Olson Novak Gleason

Helen Olson Novak Gleason of Loveland CO died April 22, 2012 of natural causes. Helen's life is an American story, tossed by the events of her century. She was born July 16, 1913 in Sweetwater, NE to Francis Hetrick and Theodore Wilhelm Olson, a Norwegian immigrant. Helen was the oldest of six children and the longest living of her siblings.
Helen's formal education ended at age 16 when she married William Novak in 1930 in Phoenix, AZ. Helen moved to IL on her own with two children in 1939. As a single parent, Helen worked as a housekeeper and then became the manager of the National Tea Store in Westmont IL from 1942-1947. She was an assistant cashier at the bank of Westmont from 1947-1952 and then at the 1st National Bank of La Grange from 1952-1972. She married Clyde K. Gleason March 17, 1962. By 1972 both Gleason's had retired and moved to Loveland CO, returning back to Westmont IL briefly and finally settling in Loveland CO in 1975.
From 1976 - 1981 she volunteered at the McKee Medical Center. Helen was an active member of the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church starting in 1976 and joined the choir in 1985. She enjoyed singing in the choir and frequently sang solos. One of her all time favorites was " His Eye is on the Sparrow". Helen was also an active member of the Loveland Rhythm Singers which gave her great joy.
She is survived by her daughter Sherry Sherman of Loveland; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde K. Gleason, and children Dorothy Jane and Donald Novak.

Gary Earl Christiansen
October 4, 1956 ~ April 23, 2012
Gary Earl Christiansen of Loveland, CO passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at his residence.
Services will be 1:00 pm Friday at Crossroads Church in Loveland. The Rev. Dennis Anderson will officiate. A burial memorial will be held at the Estes Park YMCA on Saturday at 10:00 am.
Gary Earl Christiansen was born October 4th, 1956 in Casper WY to Earl Edward Christiansen and Lora Lucille Christiansen.
Gary spent four yrs in the U.S. Navy; he worked for several years for his father at the Riverton Glass Shop and also for his cousin at R&L; Glass in Riverton; he worked in utilities and maintenance for the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO for many years. At the time of his death he was employed as the lead custodian for Thompson School District in Loveland, CO.
On October 9, 2010 Gary married the love of his life, Daphne Miller-Christiansen at the Estes Park YMCA Outdoor Chapel.
Gary was an avid fisherman who loved hunting, camping, traveling and the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Gary's love of the outdoors had him creating beautiful landscapes at his home and Estes Park YMCA.
He is survived by his wife Daphne, step-sons Evan Van Der Vliet, and Allen Van Der Vliet (Shaundra Stein and step grandson Lane) His sisters; Donna and husband Larry McMichael and Sharon McGurn and Tony Dick. Nieces Keri Homan, Jennifer Springer, Keith, Sandra and Brianna Brown. Jessica McGurn and nephew Jared McMichael. His best friend Richard and Heather McGurn. Brother in laws Bryon Miller and Daniel and his wife Dee Miller and his father and mother in law Don and Pat Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lucille Christiansen, his grandparents Rasmus Christiansen and Etta Coyle Christiansen Sims; Aldin Reynolds and Ethel Reynolds Mankin; and his faithful dog Cheyenne.
May he find the peace now that he strived for here on earth. Forever a friend forever remembered.
