Robert Irving Lancey
Robert Irving Lancey, age 78, of Danbury, died Monday March 7th at Danbury Hospital. He is the husband of Geraldine (Rae) Lancey.
He was born in Keene, NH July 25, 1926, son of the late Irving and Ruth (Peck) Lancey.
He was employed by Pitney Bowes Corp. Plastic Division, retiring after numerous years of service.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was a avid traveler. His hobby was tinkering with locks.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, Richard Lancey of Keene, NH, Everett Lancey of Middleburg, FL, William Lancey of Danbury and John Lancey of Omaha, Nebraska; sisters, June LeBlanc of Danbury and Elizabeth Nicholes, Hawleyville; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.

Robert V. Pelton
Robert V. Pelton, 82, of Chestnutland Road, New Milford, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehab Center, New Milford. He was the husband of Elizabeth Scholfield Pelton.
Mr. Pelton was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, February 17, 1923, son of the late Glenn E. and Emma Van de Loo Pelton.
He attended Beloit College in Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Pelton enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1942 during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was awarded the American Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He retired in 1986, after 41 years of service with Kimberly-Clark Corp. He was the Purchasing Agent at the New Milford plant, and was a member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers.
He was an avid boater all his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven C. Pelton of New Milford; a daughter, Laura C. Studley and her husband Paul of Hopewell Jct., N.Y.; a brother, G. Dan Pelton and his wife Jayne of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a half-brother, David A. Pelton and his wife Diana of Slinger, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Eric and Kaitlyn Studley of Hopewell Jct., N.Y.; stepmother, Margaret Van den Akker of Appleton, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ann Pelton Rothe.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford. Interment will be in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the Lillis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mark A. McCluskey
Mark A. McCluskey, 49, of Ridgefield, husband of Sharon (Roy) McCluskey, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, NJ.
Mark was born in Rockville Center, NY, January 17, 1956, son of Mary (Donovan) McCluskey of Pelham Manor, NY and the late Robert A. McCluskey, Sr.
As a Pelham Manor resident, he attended Pelham schools and Pelham Memorial High School and graduated from Southampton (NY) College with a BS in business administration. Upon graduation, he entered the banking and financial investment business. A former president of E.F.C. Capital of Miami, Florida, at the time of his death, Mark was vice-president of Lorac Financial Services of Summit, NJ.
An area resident since 1990 coming from New York, NY settling in South Salem, NY, he has been a Ridgefield resident since 1996.
He enjoyed equine sports and was a cigar aficionado.
In addition to his wife of 18 years and mother, Mark is survived by a son, Mac and daughter Kate both of Ridgefield; a brother, Robert A. McCluskey, Jr. of Springfield, Va.; two sisters: Lynn A. McCluskey of Rye, NY and Martha A. Winchester of Tucson, Ariz.; and his mother-in-law, Virginia R. Roy of Taunton, Mass.
In addition to his father, a sister, Stella F. Hill predeceased him.
Funeral services will take place on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield with Rev. Harold Quigley officiating.
Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home on Monday after 5 p.m.

Lula M. Bergfors
Lula M. Bergfors, age 88, formerly of Reynolds Ridge in Bethel died at Hancock Hall, Danbury on May 6, 2005. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Bergfors and had made their home on Nashville Road, in Bethel for many years.
Mrs. Bergfors was born in Bethel November 11, 1916, daughter of the late Herbert A. and Sarah Platt Webb and graduated from Bethel High School, Class of 1934.
A life member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, she devoted herself to her church and family life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lula enjoyed her friendships and especially loved to share her poetry, wit and good humor.
Lula is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Nelson of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; grandchildren: Lori E. Rodman and her husband Jerry of San Juan Capistrano, California and David C. Nelson and his wife Sohyon of Ranch Santa Margarita, Calif.; three great grandchildren: Tyler Rodman and Chloe and Molly Nelson and a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Kerwin. She was predeceased by her son, Herbert E. Webb.
She will be sadly missed by all, especially her loving nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Aunt Lu.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 10 a.m., at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Whitfield of the Bethel United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel.
Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Charles J. Puskarczyk
Charles J. Puskarczyk, 71 of Norwalk, formerly of Danbury, died at the Norwalk Hospital on Monday, May 2, 2005. Charlie was born in Danbury, January 26, 1934, son of the late Casmir and Katherine (Fronce) Puskarczyk. Charlie had attended Danbury schools and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had made his home in Norwalk for the past several years. He is survived by four sisters: Joan Simmons of Danbury; Helen Kelly, Barbara Buczek and Carolyn Managan, all of Brookfield; a daughter, Judy Sucre of Petersboro, Ontario, Canada; a grandson and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Puskarczyk. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Danbury on Monday at 9:30 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
Vincent R. Rajcula Sr.
Vincent R. Rajcula Sr., 76, of Brookfield, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2005.
Husband of Elaine Pannozza Rajcula, Vincent was born in 1929 in his parent's farmhouse in Brookfield. He was the son of the late Stephen J. and Mary Rajcula, and was a lifelong resident of Brookfield, residing in the house he built next to the farmhouse in which he was born. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1947. Vincent volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1948, serving honorably as a radio operator for four years aboard a minesweeper based out of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After military service, he graduated from DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago and worked for E.M.R. where he met Elaine. He then worked for Data Control Systems in Danbury, and later joined Schlumberger-Doll Research in Ridgefield as an electronics engineer, retiring after over 25 years of service.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by his son, Vincent Rajcula Jr. and wife, Kim, of Brookfield; son, Gary Rajcula and wife, Kathy, of Franklin, Tenn.; daughter, Kathy Rajcula, of Brookfield; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, and Jedrek. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Rajcula, of Brookfield; and 23 nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Vincent was a Boy Scout Leader in Brookfield, an assistant baseball coach and a member of the Lion's Club of Brookfield. He enjoyed golf, travel and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys in Brookfield, on Saturday, October 29 at 10 a.m.

Rev. Elwin "Toddy" A. Todman
Rev. Elwin A. Todman, 56, husband of Albena McTavious Todman, former minister at A.M.E. Zion Church Connection, formerly of the British Virgin Islands, died at his home in Danbury on October 25, 2005.
Elwin was born in the British Virgin Islands Feb. 14, 1949, son of Alexander Todman and the late Hilda (Lloyd) Todman. He had been employed by Sears and The Christmas Tree Shop and lived in Danbury for 31 years.
Elwin is survived by his wife of 37 years, his two sons, Keith A. Todman and Myron Todman and his wife, Lisa Todman; and a grandchild, Nicholas A. Todman. He is also survived by seven sisters and three brothers: Shirley Parsons and husband Rudel, Rosalie Adams and husband Larry, Sylvia Adams and husband Edwin, Clearlie Brown and husband Andy, Julie Malone and husband Angel, Beverly Todman, Dorolie Todman, Eldred McLean and wife Lauren, Elroy Todman and wife Doris, and Elvis Todman. In-laws include: Genevieve Scatliffe, Rufus, Norbert, Kendel, Irad and Elton Hodge and Ludena Foy.
Friends may call Monday at 10 a.m. at Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church on Rowan Street. Services will begin at 11 a.m.

Nathan Loshin
Nathan Loshin passed away on October 24, 2005 of Sharon, MA, formerly of Danbury.
He was the owner of Federal Glass Co. in Danbury for many years.
Beloved husband of Jessie (Levine) Loshin. Devoted father of Marilyn Loshin Richmond and her husband Sheldon, David and his wife Mary Loshin, Marsha Loshin Schaffel and her husband Alan. Loving brother of Freda Gans, and Alyce Weinger. Dear grandfather of six grandsons, Aaron, Elken, Ryan, Yosef, Ari, and Chaiel.
Services were held at Schlossberg-Solomon Memorial Chapel. Burial took place at the Brookfield Cemetery. Memorial week at the home of Marsha and Alan Schaffel. Remembrances in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Mildred A. Frinton
Mildred A. Frinton, formerly of Simeon Road, Bethel, died peacefully with her family at her side and entered the kingdom of God on October 23. Mildred was born on January 24, 1913, in New York, and was predeceased by her husband Anthony Frinton. She was the beloved mother of Anthony (Gerry) Frinton who sadly predeceased her, Jane Michel of Stuart, Fla., Robert Frinton of Lexington, Ky., Joseph Frinton of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., and Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Patti Ryan of Guilford. Mildred loved and enjoyed the company of her children's spouses: Mickie, Joe, Marilyn, Christa, and Kevin. She was affectionately called Nana and Nani by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her very much. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Silvey and Elaine Belisle and their wonderful families.
Nana/Nani enjoyed teaching and playing cards with all of her grandchildren, and participating in all of their indoor and outdoor activities. Mildred dedicated her whole life to her family. She was the eldest member of the Keating family and enjoyed all of the wonderful reunions that were held in Bolton Landing on Lake George. She loved to travel with her family and friends. Mildred retired from IBM, White Plains, N.Y., and after her retirement was a spokesperson for the United Way program to connect seniors with active IBM employees. Through this program, she had developed a wonderful relationship with Neil and Susan Callaghan of Bethel. Mildred received many awards for her endless volunteer efforts in the Bethel area. She had received the Certificate of Appreciation for her dedicated service to the Bethel Visiting Nurse Association. She was often seen at Red Cross blood drives assisting others, and was very active in the area senior groups, holding various offices in each of them. Mildred was an active parishioner of St. Mary Church while living in Bethel.
Macular degeneration took her eyesight, but not her spirit to live. Thanks to the wonderful "SweetHart" bus transportation system and its many dedicated drivers, Mildred did not allow her eyesight disability to slow her down a bit. She was a role model for anyone suffering from this disease. Mildred's enthusiasm for life was an example to everyone she met. She kept our family together for so many years, and now it's her turn to be in peace. Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on-in each of us.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 31 at St. Mary Church, Bethel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel. There are no calling hours.

Klemens Susmeyer
Klemens Susmeyer, 84, of New Fairfield, husband of M. Theresa Goels Susmeyer, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, October 24, 2005.
Mr. Susmeyer was born in Bendorf, Germany on September 3, 1921. He was the son of the late Joseph and Maria Susmeyer. Educated in Germany, Mr. Susmeyer was an aviator before coming to the United States as a young man. Here, he met his bride of 53 years. Briefly living in New York, they settled in New Fairfield in 1956 to raise their family.
He built up a successful masonry business. After 30 years, Mr. Susmeyer left a legacy of beautiful stone and masonry architecture throughout the region.
He was a member of the Danbury Chapter of the Arion Singing Society. In his earlier years, he was an active member of the board of education and he was a member of St. Edward's Church in New Fairfield.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters: Linda Domroes, Helga Susmeyer, Irma Moehringer and her husband Edward; and a son, Joseph and his wife, Ellie. Grandpa was adored by his nine grandchildren. He is survived by one sister and preceded in death by four brothers and his son-in-law, Joachim Domroes.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Edward's Church at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will follow in Mountainview Cemetery in New Fairfield.
